An authorized biography about the Hall & Oates-- their separate beginnings and early influences and then the first decade of their recording career together. Good stuff. Lots of passages from their journals and sketchbooks. I wish there would have been a discography, however, but I guess I can cobble one together from what's online.

A must read for any fan of Daryl Hall and John Oates! This is an unauthorized biography of the musical duo’s career in the early years. The photos in this book are terrific. I wish there was an updated version written, including more recent information on these two great talents.
