Loving Logan Bonnie Edwards is book Two in the Return to Welcome series. This is the story of Elle Foster and Logan Hughes. I have read the previous book but feel you can make this a standalone book if you choose to do so. Elle once lived in Welcome but gossip and a pregnancy made her leave her home town. Now years later she is back going forward with her life. Elle is now a women with four kids and has the mind set to never get pregnant again. Logan is a little younger than Elle but he has the dream of finding the right women and having a big family. The attraction between Elle and Logan is there for sure but with each at a different point in their life....can they find that in the end love is all that matters? Great sweet read!!
4.5 stars! This is the first time that I have read a book with a heroine who was a single mother with kids from different fathers. She arrives broke with very few possessions and four kids. Elle is the character I most wanted to meet at the end of book 1. Clay and she had a tough childhood that they survived, and now it was her turn to find love with a town that was mostly against her.
I enjoyed how her story unfolded. There were some surprises, and not all of the town rumors proved to be true. There was heartbreak and healing; loss and letting go; and finally allowing in love. Elle proved to be a kick ass, independent 33 year old woman who had poor experiences with men. This was her opportunity to meet someone who had a major family issue, yet saw past everything to fall in love with her.
There were some sizzling sexy scenes too. Logan wanted and loved her; he definitely refused to see her as the town did. He was not scared off by her kids, her lack of money, or that she was three years older. But he wants a baby, and she has sworn off having another child.
She reconnects with friends and heals old relationships. This story is multi-faceted, but always with the romance at the heart of it. Good side characters too with some unexpected twists.
This is book 2 in the series, but can be read as a standalone. I enjoyed book 1 a lot. I find that this series deals with issues that are not socially acceptable and offers compassion and understanding instead of negative judgment. There is much depth to this romance.
Bonnie Edwards stories always give me a tooth ache. Now that's not a bad thing, they're the painless kind. But she writes the sweetest love stories. And throws in a few shockers to make sure you stay awake.
Loving Logan is no different. We meet Logan and Elle in Finding Mercy, the first book in the Return to Welcome series. Elle has been through the wringer. She left Welcome to escape and now she must return to the gossip, to the condemnation of the town. But she's more than able to handle it because she knows she must -- for her kids.
Logan, oh be still my heart, Logan! Logan really just wants the American dream - - a good job, a good woman, and children. And his heart leads him to Elle but she doesn't fit the image he's always had, in his head, of what his woman would be like.
But we all know the head and the heart don't always agree. There are some twists and turns on their path but nothing they can not overcome - together!
I thoroughly enjoyed Loving Logan, the 2nd book in Bonnie Edwards' Return to Welcome Series.
The romance was fantastic. I love it when two unlikely personalities come together and fall in love against all odds. And certainly Logan and Elle were mismatched to the max. Yet I never doubted they were meant for each other. I mean, really, what kind of guy is going to let four--count 'em--four kids stop him from having the woman of his dreams.
And the kids were great, believable and fun. I have a suspicion this author loves kids almost as much as she loves those steamy love scenes...
Well done. I had such a good time reading this book!
I had never read author Bonnie Edwards before, and I wasn't sure what to expect when the heroine Elle Foster shows up with four kids in tow. Turns out I enjoyed each one of them. I was positive I wouldn't like the extended family. They all seemed too emotionally dangerous to the main characters. Wrong again. Then there's the hero, Logan Hughes. No worries. He is a strong, capable, and caring person who wants his own family and is not willing to settle. The hot love scenes left the hero and heroine a little changed each time, and I cheered louder for them to get together. Definitely a book worth reading.
While I enjoyed the story and the characters the ending and epilogue were a disappointment. The conflict was resolved with no dialogue whatsoever. The entire relationship was temporary based on one thing and there was nothing when it came to resolving it. Just a “oh I changed my mind”. The epilogue was totally unrealistic, no one would do that. The most important time in Logan’s life and he would never step back and not be apart of it like he would have to do for what they said happened to happen. Sorry don’t want to spoil it. It’s just not a good epilogue. I’d have rather not had one. 4 stars for the ending, it felt like a cop out.
This is another good read in the Return to Welcome series. It is about the return of bad girl Elle to her hometown along with her four children. Elle is the sister of Clay from the first novel in the series. As soon as she arrives home, she meets Logan who is trying to get a real estate business going in Welcome. Logan wants to help Elle and her children, but Elle is determined to be independent and rely only on herself. There are twists and turns in the plot which are interesting. The novel is well written and enjoyable.
4 well done stars Book 1 is Clay, the bad boy brother. Who turns into a solid citizen and welcome member of the community. This book is Elle, the trashy sister, who returns to town with 4 kids, rumored to be from 4 different fathers. Not true. She’s the kindest person, intelligent and a superb mother. Doubts herself though, horribly. Kind Logan helps her moving in. Helps her with a job. Becomes a friend who wants her more than anything. Takes her a very long time, but she relents and falls in love. Excellent last chapter.

I absolutely loved this story about Elle and Logan. Elle is a single mom doing the best she can for her children. Logan is attracted to Elle from the beginning, but he knows they can’t have a forever because she says she never wants to have another child. Logan wants his own child with eyes, hair, or some characteristic, since he was adopted. Will Elle end up loving Logan or will he found another? Grab your copy and get ready to fall in love with all these characters.
Finding love for Elle and Logan will make you believe in finding love when you least expect it. It is always better when you can share with someone . Have someone to trust and lean on. Someone who can love you when you think that you don't deserve that love or return it. Enjoyed this book so much.
Elle is coming home after her husband has left her and she needs help with her kiddos. Her brother Clay has always told her she would have a place to live. Now she needs to find a job. Logan is friends with Clay and he is need of an assistant, he hired her. He cares for hee kids. Can they make it work.
Great romantic story. I loved the characters and the way the author portrayed them was so wonderful. The story will melt your heart and you will fall in love with it. I'm looking forward to reading the next book. Thanks, author. Great job.

This book has an unusual story line - not something you see again and again. Well written and interesting on a number of levels. Definitely worth reading.
