Order of Thaddeus #3

Hidden Covenant

Rate this book
The lost Ark is more than a Hollywood blockbuster.

FACT: the Ark of the Covenant was a real religious object, a wooden box overlaid with gold and crowned with two golden cherubim. FACT: the Ark served as the central religious artifact of the ancient Israelites for worship and sacrifice. FACT: around 586 BC the Ark vanished from Israel’s temple, never to be seen again. What happened to it and where did it go?

The world is about to find out.

Once again, ex-Army Ranger Silas Grey is approached by the ancient religious Order of Thaddeus after it receives a cryptic secret communiqué by a SEPIO operative. And after a former professor with an old rivalry makes headlines for unveiling the location of the lost Ark, he is drawn back into the fray with an urgent mission threatening the Christian faith unlike anything he or the Church has faced.

In this explosive third book in the innovative Order of Thaddeus religious conspiracy thriller series, twists and turns spanning three continents will leave you wondering where the Ark of the Covenant has been hidden for two-and-a-half millennia—and what would happen to the world religious scene if it were found. Will Silas and the SEPIO operatives stop the threat against the Church and the Ark before it’s too late?

Engage this propulsive new adventure by emerging author J. A. Bouma, who combines the religious conspiracy suspense of Dan Brown with the historical insight of Steve Berry, and wraps it in the special-ops muscle of James Rollins and inspiration of Ted Dekker—straddling thrill and thought, faith and doubt.

WOW!!!!!!

That isn't considered a great title. But this was the best book of all that you've written. I think every person Christian or not should read your books. I am so tired of hearing that there is a Divine entity like Star Wars the Force is with you. It's not it's Jesus Christ and accepting him as your savior John 3:16. This book was so real written, I can't believe all the research that you went into to make it. Please continue to write more I can hardly wait for the new ones coming out in December of 18 and then 19. That there truly is a new covenant between man and God because of Jesus Christ giving his life for atonement of all our sins if we only believe. Please continue to write more books like these. And I will be definitely telling my friends all about you who love to read books especially ones like these again thank you so much.

Enjoyable read, except for the profanity

The overall storyline is good, as long as it is understood that the Christian faith has absolutely no need of relics to exist. I have been part of both Protestant and Catholic studies, and nowhere did I ever find that relics were anything more than that. Pieces of history that support the teachings in the Bible but are not necessary to believe. The action and twists are nonstop. Characters are great. The only other concern is the frequent use of profanity. Not something that should be in a Christian story.

First time out with author for me. I was slighty concerned that as this book three in a series that I might have missed too much that had gone on before. However, I was able to read and enjoy it as a stand alone story. I'm now looking forward to getting to know more about the characters from the first two books which I've now obtained.

Thrilling!

Another fabulously written story filled with intrigue and informative facts. The characters are what help keeps the storyline intriguing. They humans with real emotions and faults. Well written that makes for a more pleasurable read. Anxiously awaiting for the next book in this fabulous series!

Mind thrilling.

Silas Grey embarks on the journey to confront the past, when his archaeological "find" was taken by the Professor leading the project. However, nothing is as planned and Silas and Celeste, The Order and Nous tussle again this time for The Ark of the Covenant. Excellent read.

Interesting Twists

I enjoyed the African influence on where the ark might be. What started me enjoying this series were the reference to St James and Falls Church High.
I grew up there.
