'ARC provided by Tri-Publishing in exchange for a fair and honest review'

**'Most great stories come not from things that are invented but from perfect knowledge, close observation..A character has their own logic..'

Enthralling read!
Full of action,danger,heart-stopping rescues, family pain, intrigue,'MISSION COMPROMISED' is an ingenious thriller and at times torturous journey as both (Christine & Natalia) tries finding the truth while on the run. It might not have grab me the first few paragraphs in but after the action started and the storyline began to make sense - wow! It's a book that will beg to be read because its well thought-out,very informative, has great chemistry, mature & free flowing dialogue, good sex scenes and its also well written -- Christine is an M16 operative who engages in covert missions around the world while Natalia is a Marine Conservationist and true to form Christine was the ideal protagonist in this storyline --- heroine, fighter, rebel, lover etc. The people pulling the strings on the operation/kidnapping as well as those having their strings pulled, cannot entirely trust each other, and there were weak links up & down the chain of command. The result is a body count that began rising before the first shot is even taken all for 'SATCOM-codes' and the betrayals on both sides as protagonists & antagonists argued over which respective course of action is the best to take, while civilians were also caught in the crossfire. Additional, the book will impress us because of the author knowing her facts, international settings, military & government groups, secret societies, terrorist groups, action galore, even richly detailed journey into the intelligence world that only a true insider could create plus the extra result is a distinctive,fast-paced story that will likely captivate readers of adventure and suspense. Ms.Morgen has obviously researched the material for this story thoroughly, and her knowledge--combined with her amazing storytelling ability--makes MISSION COMPROMISED a must read thriller. She has created yet another in an impressive line of riveting and sympathetic action heroines whom as readers we will salivate over even when the story has ended. Highly recommend

This was a very good thriller, full of action and a budding romance. Natalia receives a birthday gift of a necklace and a trip to Fiji to work in peace on her studies. She finds out that her bungalow has been overbooked, and Christian is the other person who reserved it. They reluctantly agree to share it. The first part of the novel is them coming to know each other, during which time the seeds of attraction are planted. There is no hint of what is to come. I didn’t see the blurb before reading so everything was a surprise. The clues are there; I puzzled over a couple of things until they later became clear.

All is eventually revealed bit by bit, but I could empathize with Natalia’s shock and horror as she learns more about what is going on and she has to trust a woman that she believes lied to her. They have to traverse the world to stay one step ahead of the bad guys who just seem to keep coming. There is danger, betrayal, angst and all the other ingredients of a good novel. I enjoyed this a lot.

I received an ARC from the publisher for an honest review.

The story starts out in Fiji with its over-the-water bungalows and lush mountain ranges. There are a few points of view in the story with the first two debuting early in the plot. Lets’ meet them.

Natalia de la Faria Moreno is a beauty who radiates everywhere. Immediately I was drawn to her kind nature. She adores her father and mother. She is well traveled, having lived in many countries growing up. Very intelligent and has a deep care for things that are important to her, such as her conscious-being profession. I found her charming, including when she was on the emotional side. She is seductive and needy, but I wanted more of her.

Christian Garnier is another main character who travels to Fiji. It is spelled out clearly that she has trust issues and can't tell the difference between a criminal or a saint. She is a private person and doesn't openly share. The few times she did are priceless. She does have a soothing vibe and knows exactly what to say at the right time. Her dangerous lifestyle will give you goosebumps. She will keep you guessing the entire ride as well as surprised.

There is a third point of view, Collette. She is Christian’s ex-lover. She is brash and still holds onto a past pain. However, I feel they worked well together. You’ll see what I mean in the book.

A fourth point of view pops up later, which I feel is unnecessary.

One of the antagonists is so well described that he will give you the creeps right from the start. Even his name will make you shiver. You’ll see in the book the sleazy role he plays and how he operates.

There is hot steamy romance in the story which I will leave for the reader.

The author has good descriptions of the scenes and I love all the places the protagonists visit. She includes things like 'salty air' and 'turquoise water'. She did research on the story locations and included some local attractions such as a cathedral in London, which made me feel like I was there. This adds beauty to the story and makes you want to read more.

The pace of the story starts out slow. There is an exciting twist that follows that will get you hooked. The author takes you on a roller coaster ride around the world, visiting several countries. It took me about six hours to read, so I would carve out some time to read. I am recommending this book for all who enjoy suspense and mystery. Be prepared for a sudden ending.
