As a lover of both the slow cooker and various Asian food styles have found this a useful cookbook with many interesting recipes. The ones I've tried so far have been good and tasty. The book itself is well presented clearly laid out, and nicely illustrated.
The only real issue I have with the book is this is originally an American publication and in some cases, the conversion to metric is far from perfect, as occasionally is the selection of ingredients. I've also found in some cases the portion sizes are huge by UK standards like 1.5Kg (3lb) of meat for 4 people. In general, I've been able to scale recipes successfully and make appropriate ingredient substitutions to compensate.
When I bought the book I specifically looking for Chinese style slow cooker recipes, and with this book, there are not that many however this was more than made up for by the range of the recipes offered from other countries. If your into Asian food and love slow cooking this is a book for you.
I found the easy step by step to be easy to read and understand. I loved that they give you a bit of history of where the recipes come from. You can make the dishes by each part of Asia or mix them up. You are given times it takes to make it as well as how long you need to cook it. I love tasting food from different areas. This is a must have if you love Asian food or are looking for something new to try.
A wonderful cookbook that has a number of interesting recipes. Recipes are well laid out. I thought more pictures should have been included in the book and thus earned the 4 star rating. Definitely will use this book for meals. Loved that it used non-processed foods.
Wide variety of recipes that seem likely to appeal to a lot of people. It includes plenty of info on what you need to know about your slow cooker, how to use them etc. seems very handy if you’re a big fan of Asian cuisine
