For the first time in her life, Ireland Mills is happy with her body. No more fad diets, no more hiding from every camera in the room, no more low self-esteem. She’d rather be alone than with someone who’ll only love her if she’s skinny.
Caleb Carpenter and Ben Weber are everything Ireland and the Kansas Chamber of Commerce dreamed of when conceptualizing the “Real Kansas” promotional campaign. They’re handsome, young, educated, and totally dedicated to their small prairie town.
When Ireland’s Prius gets stuck on a Kansas dirt road and a massive storm rips through town, she’s left stranded with nowhere to turn but to Caleb and Ben. These two hunky country boys are impossible to ignore, but could they ever be interested in her as well?
Caleb and Ben are more than interested…and they’re willing to share. After their first night together, they know this has to be more than a one-time thing. They need to make her theirs forever. But can they convince Ireland they love her, curves and all?
***** Misadventures is a romantic series of spicy standalone novels, each written or co-written by some of the best names in romance. The stories are scandalous, refreshing, and, of course, incredibly sexy. They’re the perfect bedside read, a ‘quick blush’ for the reader who loves a page-turning romance.
I had no idea I would come into book and be utterly destroyed.
So I’m ok with instalove, it’s not my favorite but I don’t mind. My thing is, why is every romance about a girl bigger than a size 12, automatically instalove?! Can I just have like one slow-burn with a fat girl? Where her mind is just as loved?
Having said that, this is the most real confession of a fat girl I’ve ever read. Every single hurt, doubt, want or need I have felt one time or another in my life. It’s painful in its honesty but when she reaches that point, that point that says fuck that and fuck everyone who makes me feel that way is beautiful. It’s freeing when you decide that they don’t matter, I just want to be.
I’ve never related to a character more than Ireland.
Heartbreaking and hilarious. Plus sexy country boys, yes please.
It’s both awe inspiring and embarrassing to listen to Caleb’s inner monologue about everything he loves about Ireland’s body.
And then there was Ben, oh Ben I love you most of all. I love his dominance that tries to hide that brittle shell. I love that he won’t take no for an answer when he knows it’ll be a good thing in the long run. He’s not perfect but he does everything for the people he loves.
God fucking bless McKenna and her sage advice! Everyone needs someone like that in your life. She’s like Ireland’s personal fairy godmother.
This was the perfect MMF, I felt the love between all of them and it was beautifully equal. Even though it was crazy emotional for me, I hate to see this one end.
So this was a lot deeper than I thought it would be. Ireland Mills is a budding photographer with a TONNE of insecurities. She has always been overweight and battling the fat demons that most women experience in their lifetime, it doesn't help that her sister and ex boyfriend drilled into her how pathetic and invaluable she was because she was overweight.
She dumped the boyfriend and seemed to be over the insecurities (or so she thought) when she goes on a road trip to the country to take photos for a job. She runs into some trouble and meets Caleb a big beautiful farmer and this is where her adventure really begins!
Then we meet Ben who is just as HOT as Caleb!
This was a bit of an insta everything kinda read but with an awesome message running right the way through it.
I was a bit bummed that we didn't get any m/m action which I did find strange as Caleb and Ben had been together for years waiting for their "one".
The Bronte Sister of smut strikes again!!! This little book packed a major punch. It was pure FIYAH!!!! I don’t think Sierra Simone can do any wrong. Whatever she writes, I’ll read!
I went in blind, so I was pleasantly surprised with the direction of the plot. It was insta-everything, which I love love love. Caleb, Ireland, and Ben are fantastic. She insecure and adorable. They are both sweet, lovable, and possessive. The combination of her insecurities and their possessiveness was “such a cute story”. I loved reading this book. Seeing Ireland grow and become more comfortable in her body. Seeing how Ben and Caleb’s relationship develops into what it was meant to be, like the missing piece makes it perfect.
The overal point of the story, be kind and comfortable in your skin. Size doesn’t matter. Every woman is beautiful regardless of body type or size. We are all “beautiful and perfect.” My heart hurt for Ireland during parts of the story, but her men are quick to comfort and support her.
It’s hot, sexy, and a meaningful little story. I highly recommend it to all!
3.85⭐ Genre ~ contemporary romance Series ~ Misadventures #18 Setting ~ Kansas Publication date ~ February 19, 2019 Page Count ~ 226 (18 chapters +e) Audio length ~ 6 hours 27 minutes Narrators ~ Natalie Eaton, Teddy Hamilton, William LeRoy POV ~ triple 1st Featuring ~ insta love, throuple ~ MFM, MMF, age gap ~ 24 & 33, steamage, body shaming, small town
Ireland & Caleb & Ben Ireland is finally happy with the way she looks, but still has some reservations about what people truly think of her. I felt the plus size rep was well written. For every person that was mean there were just as many that were all about body positivity. It's nice that their town was very understanding of their unconventional relationship. There are always going to be body shamers out there and Ireland lets them get into her head, which leads to the 3rd act crap.
Insta love is not my favorite, but I could tell Caleb & Ben were all in with her right from the get go. They're both hot with rock hard abs of course. Caleb was super sweet and Ben was the more dominate one being he's ex-military. He made one dick move, but redeems himself.
Overall, enjoyable. There's a good amount of steamage for a quick read, but it wasn't over powering to the plot.
Series notes: Every book in this series is a standalone. Some are single and/or duo authors and some collaborations.
Narration notes: I did not listen to this one, but am just giving the info above for reference. I've listened to Teddy before and I'm sure you'll be in for a treat if you listen to this one.
On the surface, it may look like a little cute hot story about a chubby girl and the two gorgeous hunks from the small Kansas town.
But the book has a moral and the it basically describes the desperation of the girl who has been fat-shamed her whole life and her inner struggle to accept herself and her body.
Basically Ireland always felt that it was her against the whole world. Her weight had influenced her decisions about the future, the way she was dressed, the way she was hiding and made herself disappear in the crowd. Her ex boyfriend and her sister only made the problem worse. They told her what to eat and they forced her to go to the gym. If I could describe her, I would say that she is a weak character with almost no self-respect. And she continues to be a weak character throughout the book. The situation does not help. When she accepts the fact that she loves her body and two beautiful men also love her body, the world does not only make her feel fat-shamed,they also make her feel slut-shamed. Now she is not just fat, but she is a fat slut. Can you see the tragicality of the situation?
To be honest, I was a bit angry with her because let's face it: -All the people that mattered (i.e. her two boyfriends) told her that she beautiful. -She was happy and then she was depressed by people who don’t matter (i.e. her stupid old boyfriend) -Only when a stranger told her that «she is fat, so what?», only then she accepted this fact and run back to find her loved ones.
She is a clever girl, she should have developed defence mechanisms against the stupidity of the majority of society. Instead she was always hiding and trying to run.
So, although the book was hot, it left me with a bitter aftertaste in the end.
The fact that she was questioning the feelings of the two guys, almost made me cry. Like the fact that they want her is something bad and dirty. “Do—do they only date girls like us? Like a fetish or something?”
I would give this story 6 stars if I could - I loved it that much. I finished with a HUGE smile on my face and a happy heart ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I went into it knowing I'd love it - her writing is a guaranteed read for me, but I didn't expect to go through so many emotions while reading. I genuinely LOLd, I squirmed til new panties were needed, I was broken hearted and I cried all the ugly angry tears.
As a "curvy girl" myself I connected to Ireland in a very real way. I thought that her insecurities and the every day bravery she displayed were perfectly genuine and it made me very protective of her character - I felt like I knew her, or could be her.
Caleb and Ben were perfect. Her match. They saw who she actually was, not what society tried to make them see, not even what Ireland tried to make them see and I loved them for it. Two VERY different men who shared the same brave and open minded heart.
Don't worry though - you definitely get your dose of Sierra Simone brand kinky sexy times, but you get so much more. You get a reflection on society & how it treats people they consider "less than" and it does it in a way that I hope makes people stop and think. About themselves, and about others.
Straight into my 2019 Favourites - absolutely adored this one!
‘Between the two of them, I feel like the sexiest woman in the world.’
WOW! What a sexy, saucy, tantalisingly erotic read this was, and yet at the same time, beneath the ridiculously hot sex, there was a message a lot of us will relate to. There’s no doubting we were enticed by this being an MFM story, a theme Sierra Simone does very well, as we experienced in The New Camelot Trilogy, however, the heroine being a plus size girl with issues we could both relate to was a further enticement to dive into this story, and well…. did we mention it was sizzling HOT?
We do have to say…we wouldn’t mind being the curvy girls in that Caleb and Ben sandwich. Not only were these guys sweet, commanding, loving and affectionate, but they also loved Ireland for who she was and embraced every curve with loving ministrations, making her feel cherished and sexy.
‘I want to live now, have fun and do things now, not wait for some distant, skinnier future that may never come.’
Following a break up with her ex-boyfriend, Brian, Ireland is left licking her wounds, and her confidence shattered, feeling like crap because she didn’t measure up to her ex’s expectations of what a ‘real’ woman ‘should’ look like. Well we’ve got something to say to you Brian. Fuck you! Your loss was Caleb and Ben’s win…not to mention Irelands! How do you like them apples, hey pal? She got two hotties, for the price of one arsehole, and she well and truly traded up!
‘My body wants to crush her back against the truck, shove up her skirt, and show her exactly what a country boy is good for…’
Ireland Mills had made a lot of sacrifices to herself both personally and professionally because of her weight, feeling as though she were less than because she was curvy, however, it took two loving handsome farmers to show her how beautiful and special she was, loving her Rubenesque figure and revelling in every curve. Oh, if every woman could have a Caleb and Ben!
‘I’m a simple man. I like big girls, Kansas sunrises, and my dog, Greta. I like sharing those things with my best friend.’
A trip out to a farm to photograph landmarks for a client, Irelands meets Caleb and is instantly attracted to the strapping farmer, little did she know he was lusting after her, already seeing a future with him and his best friend and lover, Ben, who was as equally delicious!
It soon becomes apparent the broken Ben, was also smitten with Ireland and, like Caleb, wants her to become a part of their lives, however his PSTD issues and Irelands body issues need to be overcome if they have any chance of securing a future permanent relationship.
‘As fit and tight and hard as their bodies are, how could they still want me if they know how soft and loose, I am?’
Irelands insecurities about her body will resonate with many readers, it certainly did with us. It’s that old cursed response – we could hear one hundred positive affirmations about ourselves, but it only takes that one negative comment to get in deep under our skins, we’re all guilty of it. It was wonderful to see Ireland let of her inhibitions for a time with Caleb and Ben before they once again resurfaced due to other people’s perceptions of what is ‘acceptable’.
This was a seriously hot romp with an important message for us all. We don’t have to fit a mould, we don’t have to aspire to someone else’s ideas, and we should all be comfortable in our own skin. We need to believe in ourselves and if we’re happy, sod what others think. Ignore the negative thoughts in your head. Be you! Love you! You go Ireland!
“Not because it makes you feel good but because it helps change the world. Do you see? Even just living your life is a radical act. That is body positivity. That is what matters, not an emotion that can change at the drop of a hat.”
Naturally you would assume that this formulaic series written by many and varied authors would be simply great sexy-times entertainment but under the pen of Sierra Simone this particular story was not only irresistibly erotic, but examined the harm we do to ourselves and each other for callous and needless shaming over flaws or deviations from what general society…or more accurately… what advertisers tell us is beautiful.
Ireland was a likeable and relatable character who is “curvy” which is a lovely way to refer to a larger “Rubenesque-size” woman. She has dumped her manipulative and self-centered boyfriend because he acted like being with her was a sacrifice of some sort and that she should be grateful that someone like her even had a boyfriend. Her sister kept telling her if only she wasn’t so lazy, hungry, out of control, undisciplined and on and on… It was, of course, her own fault. Aside from this cruel treatment was the negative inner dialogue constantly streaming through her head and her sensitivity to any insult real and perceived. Quite frankly, she had had enough.
We find her on a work assignment when she eventually encounters the two men Ben and Caleb in a rural small town in the Midwest. Both of these men have loved, since boyhood, the women delightfully nude with all their fleshy curves on display in the paintings in their art history books. You know…the ones done by Peter Paul Rubens in the 1600’s. IOW they were attracted to Ireland not only with her gorgeous figure but also for her beauty and sassy city-girl spunk. Both of these men could be cover models on a magazine. Ben is a returning war veteran who has lingering issues with PTSD. Both of these men are in love with each other and have been for a long time but they also love to be a 3 and have been in the past.
The story is told from the three points of view. We experience Ireland’s joy and her abject humiliation, her hurt, her acceptance and her forgiveness. Through the character of Ben, we are given a glimpse into the mindset who someone with PTSD may have and the challenges they face on a daily basis. We experience the strength and stable hand of the man who loves his two less whole partners.
Now…we are talking about a lovely ménage here in the hands of Sierra Simone so you know the eroticism is real and “off the chain” good. I mean really good.
Anyone who has issues with their outward appearance could relate to Ireland, even those of us with even simple insecurities. And it is perfectly natural to have insecurities…we just cannot let them get in the way of what we want or need to do. When we lack confidence, “a fake it until you make it” attitude goes a long way.
This book also reminded me that in this day and age of social media. It is so easy to sit back and nit pick and be negative about anything and everything we see and read. Ask yourself this… Is what you’re saying going to make things better for anyone at the expense of injuring someone by your leveling of casual criticism and by what right, license or credential can you pass the judgement you’re making?
Conversely, someone’s shallow comment online is not always made for the purpose it was intended. Don’t base your life’s decisions on what other people think.
If you like sexy and erotic reads with substance then this is must read for you. It is truly worth your time.
Favorite quotes: “There’s something about having a six-foot-plus, square-jawed, dark-eyed soldier yank you up to his bed that makes a girl eager.”
“People aren’t just one thing. People aren’t just confident and then that’s it, there’s nothing that can dent that confidence. People aren’t just brave and then free from fear their entire lives. We exist in tangles of virtue and weakness simultaneously—we are the best and worst of ourselves all at the same time.”
“I don’t love you in spite of your body. I love you with it, as you are, and I’ll never be anything but fucking proud to be yours.”
4.5 stars a DEEPLY personal review ..... ❤️ REVIEW ❤️ Misadventures of a Curvy Girl by Sierra Simone touched me deeply and before I say anything about the book I wanted to say Thank you to my book buddy Janet for the recommendation. Ireland's insecurities over her curvy size well that has made this make a profoundly personal review and maybe even more about me that than the book but in the end isn't that what a great book does it makes the READER FEEL...... SO Thank you, Sierra Simone for putting words to some of what sits just at the surface sometimes. As a woman who well let's just say this winter when I went to splurge in a designer winter coat and I did NOT fit in any I sometimes find myself struggling to really hear like really hear (the hear that you feel deep in your soul) my husband of over 18 years when he calls me "Beautiful." In my heart I know he means is in but sometimes that voice creeps in that says does he notice the extra weight, does he feel how my body has changed post two big boys born via c-section, does he feel the extra flap that slips out the top of my bra, does he see the chin that now has some flab hanging from it..... Ireland's journey spoke to all of that and then some. So Thank you, Ms Simone for reminding me beauty is about more than most of the models we see and love isn't just for Barbie size women paired with men who look like cover models. This book had be believing Ben and Caleb loved Ireland for who she was not despite of her size. And in the end I know that helped me feel a bit more of the love in my own life and for just a bit quieted some of the "if I just lost a few more pounds" or "if my stomach was just a bit flatter."
I was all for this super-hot and steamy polyamory story that is sex and body positive. It was around the 80% mark I felt a little overwhelmed with the body image talk. Ireland spiraled into a bad place after an article was released that I thought she should have handle a bit differently. Other than that I really enjoyed did enjoy the story for all of the wonderful imagery that was layered out in this story. Caleb and Ben were smoking hot main male characters that I instantly fell in love with.
This specific video review will be included in the August 2019 wrap-up.

Oh good god. To say I’m an emotional mess right now would be a damn understanding. I can’t deal with all these feels gahhh.
ARC received in exchange for an honest review
Any time I see a new misadventure book I instantly want it, this series is amazing and they’re all so different and a joy to read. Now, I’ve been a huge fan of Sierra’s books for so long so reading another Misadventures book for this amazing woman just put the icing on the cake, it was a huge bonus.
I was so emotionally incensed in these characters, in their relationship and in everything they did. I’ve never read a story quite like theirs and I’m absolutely thrilled that Sierra gave life to these characters, that she gave life to a story I had know idea how much I needed.
Misadventures with a curvy girl hit close to home. Being a curvy girl myself I’ve had to endure torment and horrible people and it breaks you, it cuts you deep and leaves you feeling numb, like a shell of yourself and it’s damn awful. So, to see what this woman goes through and how she’s been treated broke my damn heart, I’m not afraid to admit right now that I cried like a baby near the end because that just shattered my poor heart. I love that women, I love those men and this story, it was phenomenal. It’s not often one comes across a story where the main character is curvy so I’m glad this beauty is out there.
This story was more than I ever expected, so much more and I loved every single second. I would absolutely love more from these amazing characters in the future
Sierra Simone deserves all the love and respect for this masterpiece. It’s most definitely at the top 3 of my favourite Misadventures books and it damn well deserves to be. This author always manages to hook me in with her words and leave me captivated until the very end and I love that about her writing.
Curvy girl is insanely hot and super fucking sexy mixed in with a whole lot of feels that you won’t be able to handle but you’ll love every second of.
I adore Sierra Simone, her way of thinking and her writing style. She has an unapologetic way of writing about difficult situations, and sexual preferences; straight, gay, bi-sexual, asexual, etc. She writes about a priest falling in lust, to an American King with his Prince and Queen. All of her characters have one thing in common; they are all flawed humans. With this Misadventure, Sierra deals with bullying and dealing with horrible thoughts of not being enough or being too much. Whether done by others or by self-hating thoughts, actions, or inactions we all seem to have at one point in our lives. As with Ireland, she learns that self-love comes in all shapes and sizes, she recognizes that not all men are attracted to skinny, flat ass women. Yes, Ireland, Caleb, and Ben can love all of you, especially the wobbly bits. Sierra mixes her tales with lots of sexy scenes this is no different or for the faint of heart. These little Misadventure novellas give her readers and followers a quick hit of Sierra! Great read but so much more.
I really liked parts of this, but I wish the heroine hadn't gotten all self-hate-y near the end. Realistic, maybe, but I don't need all that negativity when I'm reading to escape. Wish the conflict had been driven by something other than her insecurity. And her big change of heart revelation comes via a swoop-in by a random person she's never met before, and that scene felt forced and didactic.
𝐌𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐝𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐚 𝐂𝐮𝐫𝐯𝐲 𝐆𝐢𝐫𝐥 by the amazing and beautiful Sierra Simone is AVAILABLE NOW! The latest SEXY standalone in the addicting 𝘔𝘪𝘴𝘢𝘥𝘷𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦𝘴 series is LIVE and it’s sure to leave you with a full heart and a huge smile! This romantic and enticing page-turner of a romance gives you just a taste of the AWESOMENESS that this author is capable of.
Sierra Simone is a writer I can always count on to give me the down and dirty, and does she ever deliver with Misadventures of a Curvy Girl.
Caleb and Ben are HOT! Together, they become the perfect combination of lovers in the bedroom and in life. Ben is the stoic and damaged veteran who runs the local bar, and Caleb is the more caring, outwardly, farmer. Together, in and out of the bedroom, these two work to give Ireland what she needs to be happy and to feel loved. Unlike most books with threesomes, there is a relationship that is alive and flourishing between Caleb and Ben in its own right, and of the aspects I love both is that they don't try to define it. They simply know that they love each other, but they also know that they don't work as a two but they need a three. Overall, though, I do wish that there would have been more complexity to their characters. While I love them, I do truly feel like there was so much depth, especially with Ben, that was left unexplored.
Ireland makes the whole book because she is the relatable character. Her insecurities will be the insecurities of most of the female population. Seeing her thoughts as these men pleasure her, as she has to show them her body in the light of day, as we see her struggle with her confidence and the judgment of others. It is enlightening to see how the comments of others break her down, to the point that she can't her the comments of those who love her, particularly Ben and Caleb. Through her character, readers see the stigma we have attached to being fat, and even goes as far as to address the fact that the word fat has become dirty, an insult that we hurl at others, but what I ultimately love is that readers see all the negativity that is hurled at people who are overweight through the Ireland. We see how it breaks her down, tears her apart, and how the affects are long-lasting, because Ireland is a phenomenal heroine, which drives home the destructive nature of this stigma.
Like any Sierra Simone book, the heroes are incredibly attractive, with dirty mouths and skills between the sheets. The heroine is unique and lovable. The couple, together, steam up Kindles. On top of all of that, we get a real, authentic relationship that builds between them. There is inst-lust and a but of insta-love, but this Misadventures book is incredibly fast paced. The conflict and resolution are a tad predictable, but for the theme she creates and develops, they are perfect.
Like any Sierra Simone book, the Misadventures of the Curvy Girl is steamy and filled with new ideas to ruminate over, hopefully changing reader perspective on the use of the word fat and to ask woman with insecurities about their weight to look at themselves in a new way and to love themselves for who they are, which is absolutely something I can get behind.
I new this was going to be a steamy read and it absolutely was. Seriously sexy in usual Sierra Simone style. However I was pleasantly surprised by how deep and emotional this went.
Ireland carries with her all the insecurities of the fat girl especially because the people around her like her sister and ex-boyfriend have persitently told her she is not good enough. Then she meets Caleb and Ben. Sexy, rugged all american farm boys who can't disguise their pure, unadulturated lust for her.
Caleb was so sweet and jovial while Ben was more stoic and serious. They both cared deeply for Ireland though and I thought they complimented each other so well. They were so protective of her and their need to make her theirs absolutely had me swooning! It takes Ireland a while to believe these handsome men loved her just as she was and she was able to give them exactly what they were missing and filled the void in their life.
A sexy, emotional, unconventional love story not to be missed!
5 Stars Erotic M/M/F Romance Heat Level: Hot POV: Multiple HEA
I was SO into this conceptually -- an ACTUALLY FAT WOMAN gets to bone and fall in love with two hot guys who are also into each other! An ACTUALLY FAT WOMAN embraces her body as-is and lives her life as she wants while acknowledging ways she has been limited by the social pressures on her body! An ACTUALLY FAT WOMAN talks plainly about her insecurities and how having someone attracted to her doesn't erase them! -- but the execution is pretty disappointing. I understand very much why these people are physically attracted to each other, but they have very little personality and barely speak to each other. This is one of those books that's really frustrating to me because it is SO CLOSE to being good and all the things it needs to make it good seem so obvious to me that it ends up being almost too frustrating to read.
The two things that bothered me most:
1. That there was SUCH an emphasis on how big the guys were and how they made Ireland feel small and overwhelmed. As a very fat person, I understand the sort of wish-fulfillment that can offer to readers, but it also reeks of fatphobia and misogyny. Women don't have to be smaller than their partners! They don't have to FEEL smaller than their partners! And a fat woman isn't only attractive to men who are bigger than her.
2. A smaller fat woman comes in and basically tells Ireland to get over herself. And Ireland looks at her and is like, "Huh, I see her as smaller and prettier than me, but maybe society just sees us both as fat!" and the book treats this as a revelation, but like, uhhhhh. No. This is SO CLOSE to actually being a revelation that I had to set the book down. Oppression exists on a spectrum and though smaller fat people do experience it based on their size, it is NOT THE SAME as the oppression a larger fat person faces. Ireland is so, so close to getting it, but it seems clear that her author has bought into the toothless version of fat liberation that ~body positivity~ is selling and is never going to let her get there.
To end on a positive note, there is lots of good, pretty revolutionary stuff here for fat women who still need to hear that it's okay to be fat and okay to live your life as you please anyway. There is LOTS of sex between hot dudes and an ACTUALLY FAT WOMAN, which is pretty notable regardless of the rest. The sex is also probably extremely good for people who are into the romance novel style. I kind of tapped out on energy for euphemistic descriptions at like, the 30% mark and still thought it was overall pretty hot.

What can I say about this, really?
It's Sierra Simone, it's absolutely as scorchingly hot as you are expecting. Seriously, from the first meeting with Caleb, the attraction jumps off the page and you know that the scenes with them are going to be intense, sexy, and fun.
I was not disappointed. Add in Ben (you know this is coming from the beginning) and OMG it makes me want to spend time in barns in Kansas, just in case they are as interesting in real life as they are in this story. (I am guessing they aren't as I feel I would have heard, but it still feels like it might be worth investigating.)
It's a shorter novel, so pacing wise it is a instalove story, but as the attraction is so strong, you believe in the attraction and the relationship with Caleb, Ben, and Ireland.
When a story focus on a threesome, it's important that each character exists both in the relationship and outside of it...and in this story, I liked the characters, I felt that they had depth and were interesting both within the relationship and separately. I liked that Ben and Caleb had a relationship that was separate from the one they developed with Ireland...and I liked that Ireland was able to develop separate relationships with Ben and Caleb.
I definitely enjoyed this story, and I recommend it.
Fat heroine in a polyamorous relationship with two hot farmers? Yes, please!
Sierra Simone writes my favorite spice. She’s so amazing at celebrating the characters in these scenes, and with Ireland being plus size, I loved how she highlighted that. I wish this would’ve been longer just to spread out the timeline a bit more, but it’s a small complaint compared to how much I loved Ireland, Caleb, and Ben!
Big girl with ha big heart Overall 3 out of 5 stars Performance 3 out of 5 stars Story 3 out of 5 stars
Ireland, Ben, and Caleb were not what one would think would work but they did. Ireland had been hurt and mistreated before. She did not feel she was what two hot sexy real men would want. Caleb and Ben had lots of fun proving her wrong while at the same time teaching her to enjoy it all.
Nice having a trio voicing. I was just expecting more from what I got. It was not a terrible just not what I was expecting.
I loved this VERY sexy erotic romance, about title curvy girl photographer Ireland, who's sent to photograph the farmhouse belonging to Caleb and Ben. Little does she know that the two of them are both super hot and super passionate, about each other and, it turns out, her. Every sex scene here sizzles intensely, and Simone does an excellent job portraying the relationship between the three of them, and the intensity of the connection between the individual pairings. She also portrays Ireland as a lusty, powerful, confident woman who can still be vulnerable, especially when she fears that she's being rejected because of her body. Simone also tackles how Ben's PTSD affects all of them. I also liked that they didn't exist entirely in a blissful private trio, but that Caleb and Ben's coupledom and desire for a third was acknowledged and accepted by people in their small town. This book drew me in right away, is totally hot and also has a heart. I highly recommend it.
