There is no denying it now, something is happening to Elish. Jade doesn’t know what is going on with his husband, he only knows Elish is hiding something from him – and that the new king’s mind is slipping. Too bad there’s nothing Jade can do about it, considering they’re both prisoners of an insane clone named Malachy. Not only prisoners, but the two of them, along with Reno, Caligula, and Ceph, are now forced to play the insane man’s game. It is a game that could leave the mortals dead, and the immortals trapped for god knows how long.
Which would be just fine with Jack, Kessler, and Nero, who have their own plans back in Skyfall.
Meanwhile, unaware of the chaos his family is in, King Silas is still running around the greywastes and the plaguelands with Sky. He is loving spending time with the man he’d obsessed over for so long, but the O.L.S isn’t perfect – far from it, actually. Sky is showing weird behaviour, and every once in a while, none other than Perish appears warning Silas that Sky is up to something. But Sky says it’s just a glitch, and that Silas should ignore Perish. Sky wouldn’t lie to him… right?
And miles away from the greywastes, Reaver has found himself inside of a mysterious tower surrounded by an abandoned city. The owner of this skyscraper is an old man named Bastian, who claims to be the person who’d created born immortals. Naturally, Reaver doesn’t care, but Bastian has a secret that will have Reaver and Killian stopping at nothing to return to Skyfall – along with two nightcrawlers just as desperate to find the city.
Quil Carter has been writing stories since he learned how to write. Now that people seem to like his stories, this is pretty much what he is planning on doing with his life.
I swear, if everyone rapes and f*cks everyone else in the course of this series, I'll go back and give all the books 1 star.
WHAT IS THE POINT??
Now Reaver is going to fall in love with his mortal enemy? Just bc Silas acts a little nicer and needier? Wow. But I guess Killian is right - it IS part of Reav's engineering...to love Silas.
Lets first start with Reaver, he has no loyalties to Killian like at all. At first it may seem that way but as soon as Killian does something he don't like he's ready to cut him out. But when Silas comes into play a man that hurt them both he's ready to forgive him. Not only forgive him but take his side and protect him against people he had said were his family and friends. Also the whole situation with Elish, Reaver didn't even think twice before abandoning someone we were meant to believe he was close with before taking the side of a man that did all the fuck shit Silas did to him. It was not only out of character but it seemed like the story was building towards this epic showdown where Killian and Revear would face off against Silas. Not only did that not happen but Reaver had once again abandoned Killian, a very tired troupe and instantly stuck to Silas as if replacing Killian with the mad King. Considering the fact that Killian would do anything for Reaver its just getting stagnant.
Next onto Reno, it seems like when we get Renos POV its so vastly different from how the world reacts with him in it that Its actually off kilter. The characters don't act the same or their entire character changes when interacting with other characters. Its not consistent at all.
Next is Kessler.... I just want him to die already. Its stupid that he's still alive considering all he's done to mess up the family and yet time and time again, Elish is blamed. Elish deserves a lot, but seeing as Kessler fessed up to his scheming ways and went without punishment from either Silas or Revear was just a disbelievingly hard pill to swallow. Like for real? Hardly any action against him after all he's done?
Next is Elish. There's a lot wrong with his character but I'm hoping the next book will explain his vastly different character and the more than sudden change. Like why he hid things from Jade and even more explainations. To me it seemed like Jade and Elish were punished for the smallest stupidest things, something I had noticed to be a reoccurring theme with these books. For instance Jack, Kessler, and whoever else was at fault for doing those things to break Elish after he supposedly already had his punishment. Then when Elish broke they then acted as if he had been doing the most when he was in fact not, and it was their damn fault everything went to shit but no one else is commenting on that.
Last but not least is Silas. I just fucking hate him. He's stale, stagnant. He hardly has anything worth commenting on and every time it seems like he's getting some character growth Its just back to the same old shit.
In essence, Reaver who's supposedly loyal AF is actually the least loyal of all, Reno seems to be fucking delusional, Elish is a nutcase, and Kessler needs to die like over a book ago... For good. I swear the only one I'm begining to like is Killian, he's shown some growth that unfortunately always gets squashed by Reavers tiny dick complex.
And it sucks since I liked this series it was a fresh idea that sucked me in. Unfortunately it seems like its starting to grow repetitive and more than a little stale with only slight variations to make it appear more exciting.
Hopefully the next book won't just be the same where the family is stupidly divided and Reaver tries to make Killian fit into a mold that would never hold the growing man Killian is becoming. Also it would be great to see Reaver actually act like he gave a damn about Killian instead of acting like a spoiled little brat all the time sulking because he couldn't have his way. Its old. I want to see Killian and Reaver back together kicking ass, the family with Elish and Jade and Luca actually working together without the meaningless shitstorm. It would be nice though I doubt it'll happen.
Guess we'll see in the next installment but honestly this fell more than a little flat, which sucks since this author is normally fucking unreal and I enjoyed his other works quite well.
Honestly idk what to say. I literally only keep reading this series because of Reaver and Killian and there was too much happening between them in this that I didn't like. Sigh, don't even get me started on how Reaver behaved with Silas. I won't even touch that topic because I'll go on another rant and I think I've done enough ranting when it comes to this series.......or have I? I just hope Reaver is fixed and everything goes back to the way it should be between him and Killian in volume 3. If not I'll probably lose my fucking mind the way he did. Also fuck everyone but Reaver, Killian, Jade and Elish. They rest can all be put inside that machine and die permanently.
I'm really disappointed... I didn't like the plots. The war between Jade, Elish and the rest of the family becomes tiring. The mix of Gage, Bastian, Sky... it wasn't really interesting. I was very bored while reading, I had difficulty finishing it and I was therefore impatient for it to end. Besides that, there's nothing logical about Reaver leaving Killian like this. ok, he was created to love Silas. but knowing Reaver's personality, that makes no sense. I stand by my words, the POVS should have been ONLY Reaver and Killian as in volume 1 and from time to time the others.
I am emotionally drained. It probably doesn’t help the fact I finished the book in 5 days, for future reference take 10 days at least. Mr Carter has the amazing ability to pull at the heartstrings he pulled me into a world unlike any other.
Ok so onto the review…. This book is huge (which I love) so I will just focus on the MC.
Reaver I love Reaver he is one of the strongest characters not only physically but emotionally. His “I don’t care” “fuck you” attitude is unique to him, the inner monologue made me laugh out loud even in serious situation! E.g when Ellis was snuffed he made a Lion King reference. The last thing I expected was for Reaver to drift away from Killian and develop feelings for Silas of all people.
Lets see… Silas loves Reno, Reaver, Elish and Sky Elish loves Jade but may like Killian because he used to love Silas
and Nero just loves everyone ; )
I don’t know how I feel about Leo and Greyson being immortal (allegedly) they were killed in book 1 It was a pivotal moment, which shaped a lot of things. I have a theory it could be wrong….it’s that Mad Malachi’s fathers are Greyson and Leo maybe?
Killian What have you done to Killian? Too far I say, I am referring to the scene which shall not be mentioned ever again. Killian was the only pure one left now we have no-one it’s sad. Reno you say? No he is a rapist… that’s one thing I’ve never understood, it does not fit with his character and background… you’ve been raped so you rape.
I digress; Killian has gone through one of the biggest transformation I like it mostly but…. WHAT ABOUT REVEAR? I hate what’s happening, fix it Quil fix it fast.
Reno Reno is an idiot, I liked him in the beginning but now I just want someone to put him out of his misery. I think it was halfway through GAI 1 when I began questioning him, Silas kills your best friend, friend, fucks up everything and somehow you fall in love with the biggest enemy. I was with Reaver on this one it was a complete betrayal. Reno is the most likely character to?.............. get kidnapped. This must be the fifth time I’ve lost count he has replaced Killians role of ‘damsel in distress’. Let’s not forget the part where he saves Mad Malachy from getting killed (in my head I was thinking shoot Reno now)
Was Reno dissolved in acid? Was Reno emotionally tortured for a year? Held captive? Killed in cruel and unusual ways?
No.
You need justice this is the Fallocaust after all. Everything can’t be swept away by saying “he had a fucked up childhood” this excuse has been used waaaaayyyyy to many times for my liking.
Elish& Jade I don’t like Jade ever since reading Breaking Jade. The reason is simple Jade is a doormat he is like an animal that has been abused by his master but remains obedient. Elish and Jade’s relationship is toxic (I’m referring to the wedding scene in VOL 1) Elish treats him better when they are not together (when he thinks he died or is missing/ resurrecting). The idea of using intelligent proxy worms was always going to backfire hahaha, but I’m interested to see where this goes…
The enemies Bastian and his crew came out of nowhere as if Sky fall doesn’t have enough problems right now. I don’t understand Sky or rather Diet Sky lol his actions are contradictory…..I’m intrigued.
Last but not least, in the end when Reaver is going after Gage he has a looooonnnng conversation with Silas, Gabriel, Sterling, Sanguine, Jack etc.
Gage has enough time to get on a plane and be halfway to the plague lands by now.
Side note There is very little female representation why is there no female born immortal/ night crawler/ lycan? The only notable character is Ellis and she got snuffed.
A quote from Sky “They’re so predisposed to insanity it’s quite insane” I couldn’t have summed it up better.

I've always rated the books from the series but never wrote reviews, because I prefer to keep it to myself, but I needed to get it out of my chest.
I would rate this book 3.5 and it's the first book of the whole series which I seriously thought about stopping reading. Don't get me wrong, it's a good book, extremely well written like all Quil's books, however, there were moments that I felt that I was reading a crossover with "Keeping up with the Kardashians" with the amount of stupid and pitiful family squabbles.
The main characters, Elish and Jade, for starters, are a couple that always got on my nerves. Elish God-like superiority and Jade inability to stop Elish, even though he knew that Elish plans were dysfunctional and dangerous made me stop reading several times and taking deep breaths. When the family was in serious danger because of Bastian's creations, he still couldn't let go of his pride and help his fucking family.
Killian just made me ?!?!?! in this book. I understand that he is growing up and all his traumatic experiences are making him a hardened person, but he is just acting like a fucking little bitch. His relationship with Elish made me even more confused. In the previous books, he fought everyone and everything to be beside Reaver and be seen as his equal, and now he decides that his place is by Elish's side because he has the ability to keep him...centered? Sorry Killi, but I believe Elish is a bit beyond your help.
Reaver is the character that until now never disappointed me, but I may be biased. I love Reaver. I keep reading these series because of him. I love his personality, his "fuck you, I don't give a damn" attitude. Reaver developed greatly in this book and caught me quite off guard with his mixed feelings for Silas. Didn't quite expect that.
And while on Silas, what a difficult character to talk about. I'm never quite sure how I feel about him, mainly because I sympathize with his suffering. As it's pretty clear in this book, he had a horribly dysfunctional relationship with Sky, that abusive piece of shit, and Sky basically fucked Silas head for good. I can't forget what he has done with the others, what he has done to Elish to help him be in the maniac state he has been in this book, but I can understand.
And Reno, dear Reno, the rational among them all, who refuses to become immortal because he fears he will go insane and maniac like the others, feels like the only who was thinking properly throughout this whole book. It was nice that he broke out of the depressed state he was in the previous book, and helped put some sense into Silas head.
To sum it up, this huge book is a hell of a ride. It has so many things happening at once, so many POVs, so many conflicting ideas and ideals, that it may not please everybody. Certainly, at a moment or another, it will make you so stressed and annoyed that you will have to put it down for some time, to breath and process what has just happened. But you will come back, because you need to know what happened next.

i don't like this at all. why reaver and killi have to be that way? char development, sure. but why why why i read this series bcs of them. remember the first book? they are THE couple. i know their way will be trying esp. after the suicide king but this development? WHY. i'm mad. i wish to be out of this torture soon but i fear the ending. i don't even know anymore.
This time I really can't stop reading! And the realization that AGAI volume 3 is the last book... hits me hard. Now that everything is collapsing and breaking, there no next book?! I don't know if I will be able to handle that and I hope that the ending will give some peace of mind. Knowing the Fallocaust, probably not. I'm afraid to finish the last book. The next book in the series will be out soon but unfortunately that is a companion book. If volume 3 ends on a cliffhanger, I don't know if I'll have the strength to start on the next companion book.
Oh. My. GOD! I started this series on August 15th and just now on September 6th I'm finished. I didn't write reviews for the other books because I would just move onto the next as fast as possible but now I have a few words to say. I'm beyond blown away by this series, I've read over 1000 books in the past 6 year and no joke this might be one of my all time favorites. I love dark stories especially when theres an asshole like Reaver and all the dark humor in it! *swoon* This author has a talent that I don't often see, especially when I hated Silas/ Asher in book 1 and now after all these books I kind of just want to wrap Silas up in a blanket and tell him to stop being a psycho and give him a little love (I feel like Reno wanting to comfort the crazies). And on the flip side, I loved Elish all the way up until he came out of concrete, now I think he just needs to be stopped because of what he is doing to his family. The only person in the entire series my feelings haven't changed towards is Reaver, I loved him from the beginning when he was stalking Killian and I love him now even though he seems to be going off the deep end too. Theres quite a few characters I wouldn't be too upset about really dying but I can say now, I will cry so effing hard if Reaver's ever gone. I love any time Reaver interacts with any of the Dekkers, especially Silas. I love Killian for Reaver but I just get so excited whenever Reaver is around any of them because even though everyone bites their tongues around eachother Reaver will call everyone and anyone out on their bullshit and give them a kick in the ass if needed.
Honestly I've been talking about these books to everyone for weeks and I still have so much to say but I'm going to leave off with just saying one thing; if you have the slightest interest in reading this kind of story, do it! Don't wait and put it off for months like I did, just go download it and start it. And if you're intimidated by the page count let me say that I've put so many books on my DNF shelf because I get bored easily and this book only had me wondering what could happen next instead of all the other predictable books out there now.... just go read it!
Sometimes if karma doesn’t come around fast enough, I’d be all for some good revenge, but fuck me, this book turned me into a saint. I legit will never hold grudges or seek revenge in my life again because this book showed me no good ever fucking comes from it. I feel like these crazy-ass characters drained all the will for revenge right outta me lmao 😂
We finally meet Malachy and he’s an absolute nutcase. Like the Fallocaust wasn’t already gruesome enough, this book straight-up threw the characters into a Saw torture game. The two together? Beyond extreme. Thank god I wasn’t snacking while reading because I for sure would’ve spit my food out. But I did really enjoy seeing Jade, Elish, Caligula, Reno, and Ceph go on their little adventure, more like a trauma bond experience but oh well. I actually grew to really love Ceph in this book and even started liking Caligula, which is not surprising at all because that’s just what this series does to you. You’ll hate a character’s guts in one book, then a few books later, they’re the love of your life.
What I don’t like is how Killian and Reaver are still off in this book. Like yeah, they’ve always fought, but they’d kiss and make up. Not this time, and it scared the living shit out of me. I can handle all the fucked-up things this series throws at me, but Killian and Reaver not being together? Just the thought of it makes me feel sick to my core.
Oh, and Silas and Sky? Hate. Hate both of them. A lot of people grow to like Silas, but no way in hell I ever will. And the main reason? He would take Reaver away from Killian the first chance he got, with or without Sky in the picture. I have a lot to say about Silas, but maybe I’ll save it for when the series is complete. I don’t feel bad for him in the slightest, whatever he’s going through is directly linked to his own shitty decisions, and that man is 200 plus years old. He should’ve known better. No excuses.
The thing about multi-volume books is that, to a certain extent, it's hard to review them individually. Essentially, you're reviewing part of the story. You can't talk about the themes or the story as a whole when you've only got part of the book to work with.
Volume two picks up exactly where volume one finished. Elish, Jade, and Reno are trapped in Candyland; Reaver and Killian find themselves in an unfamiliar place, at the mercy of unfamiliar people; Silas and Sky's honeymoon period is coming to an end; and Skyfall is battling a new proxy worm crisis.
What I can say is this: the stakes have never been higher. As the book progresses, and the various players manoeuvre their pieces as they battle for control, the tension ramps up to the point where it exceeds even the climax of The Suicide King.
Another thing: the character development in this series has always been great, but this book so far has given us so much more to enjoy than ever before. The characters in this series have never been static, and just when you feel like a character's already been past the breaking point, Quil pulls the rug from under your feet and shows you that it can always get worse, and the dynamics between the characters can always been more interesting.
73% done and Im loving it so far... but if reaver end's up falling for Silas... then I'm sooooo done with this series. That character is just so unbelievably obnoxious...
ps: Teufel, not Tuefel xD deutsche unsterbliches- "deutsche unsterbliche"... or "die deutschen unsterblichen"
---
Aaand done. Man it would be so awesome if killian turned into some badass dude that needs no man in his life D: this is actually what Im hoping for since book 1
and the rest? I'll wait for vol. 3 before my final judgment
Oh and for I LOVED that part. Wished there was more. LOL I was just like reaver in this book, a big old smile everytime Silas sufered.
Can't wait for vol 3. Thankfully the SAW part is only the first 4% of book. It gets really interesting after. But Gage is starting to feel like that bad guy from inuyasha~ (Naraku or whatever he was called)
Had a lot of fun reading this book as usual! Little weaker than some of the others but it's normal, they can't all be on top. Reaver is starting to piss me off though. My boy Killian deserves his man to get his shit together. Onward to the next book!

Oh jeez. This was good. Things are getting even more complicated and interesting. I almost had a mental breakdown because of Ares. I'm too invested ok? Shit is changing. Killian is different. Are you kidding me . I never expected Killian to do what he did. Never. Shit was traumatising. Reaver is so immature. Something's up with him. I felt sorry for Elish. That's a first. But yes. I might not like him but he's who he is. As is the deal with everyone, it's in their DNA to be the way they are. And the stuff they've gone through. My poor Sangy. I want to see him again. What Silas did to him is the only thing I can't forgive him for. I hated what happened to Drake and Dex. And Ceph and Nero...Come on babies. You belong together. I now like Reno. I never had any strong feelings for him and when he accidentally struggled that poor guy I was so mad but now I do like the guy. And I hope he's made immortal. Just so he can keep the others sane . Uuugh so many things to think about. The nightcrawlers and lycans and Bastian and Diet Sky. And where is the real Sky? Who is inside of the worm mass? On to the next one!!!! Which, I heard will be the death of me.

Oh boy, I really wish I hadn't read this. This was bad. This was BAD bad. Should have stopped at book 3, the climax. In this: Character developments thrown out the window. Dynamics between couples sizzled up and dried.
When Elish started infecting people with proxy worms, it was like a bad, comedy nightmare. SO fu*ing stupid. Like, WHY? Why is Jade helping him? These characters which I had grown really attached to were completely crumbled up like a dirty tissue and thrown into a waste bin. The relationship went into weird limbo. My favorite character had been Jade, so watching him turn into a blob of a person really sucked.
And the main reason why I had liked Reaver prior, perhaps the only reason, was his saving grace, his love for Killian. I read close to 200,000 I believe explaining that KILLIAN WAS HIS ONLY SOFT SPOT. Literally ONLY ONE. And at the end of this book, that was just...dropped? Ignited? Blown the fuck up?
DAMN this sucked.
I am so mad.
You know when at the end of a really good show, like Dexter or LOST, you realize the writers had no idea how to end the show, and they just blow shit up?
Wow. I have no words... I tried, I really tried to like Reaver like I did in the first book, but honestly I don't like him anymore since the fourth book. I don't know how everyone likes Silas but I HATE HIM with all my heart, he's a selfish, whiny, manipulative, unscrupulous person who doesn't care about anything but his feelings, I'm tired of him and his airs and "how important he is", he always thinks he's important....I hope the narcissist dies. I read this whole series for Killian, I don't know why some people find him annoying, Killian just wants peace and to be with Reaver, but with Silas alive I don't know how that's going to happen. Quil please, Killian deserves more, honestly I would like him to be alone, not love any man anymore and become very powerful, but not to do harm, simply to be strong and maybe cold and go fight creatures in the greywastes, I would love so much to read a book just about him and his adventures. Reaver can end up with Silas, I really don't care about him anymore, both psychopaths can be together, and hurt each other forever. I hope Killian breaks up with Reaver. And I hope Killian becomes very poweful and doesn't need anyone.

Another wild ride through the post-apocalyptic world of the Fallocaust. We meet new characters - seriously QC, so many characters...your next book needs to be an encyclopedia of Fallocaust lore. After Vol.3 that is. My personal favorite being Malachy who is amazingly funny as well as psychotically crazy. Who would have thought the crazy game master from the Saw movies would be the comedy relief of this tension fraught volume? Plot points get resolved, more plots are unfurled, and the major question still is, "Why DID Sky Fallon kill himself?" and of course, "Did he really kill himself?" Nail biting drama and action/adventure like watching a Marvel movie. New fallocaust words coined in this volume, favorite being "foxtard" in reference to Drake, and "Diet Sky" in reference to the Sky OLS inside Adler. Loved this new volume, can't wait till the third. Ah, also....four physical volumes of Garden of Spiders? Is this a hint?
There are times where I want to say “fuck it, I’m done” but then I always go back. I’m ONLY in the fallocaust because Reaver, Reno, and Silas are the ONLY characters I enjoy reading. Killian too at some point.
Not sure where my words will take me but I’m sure there will be spoilers. Read at your own risk.
I swear Quil favors Jade and Elish.. though I’m sure I’m in the minority I just don’t like these two. My eyes roll at the sight of their names. I think just what really sets me off is that the very first book of the fallocaust was about Reaver and Killian, and that’s what I felt the series was about. With so many books I know there’s venturing out onto other characters. Which, is fine.. but damn I feel like he’s taken the shine out of those two and favors Elish and Jade. I’m done with those two and hoping that Quil kills them off.. which is another annoyance is:
SNUFFING THE ONLY GIRL IN THIS MALE DOMINATED SERIES! Like WTF?! The author must really hate women lol but all jokes aside.. that’s messed up bruh.
With that being said though I’m hoping to see a main character get wiped off (preferably Jade...). Quil kills characters that doesn’t really “shake” the story. Like Grant? Sorry he’s depressed but he wasn’t SOMEBODY. Since book 2 we’ve been hearing “killing immortals” but it hasn’t happened.
I’m shipping Silas and Reno so hardcore. Their sex scene was.. ugh! I loved it! ..... and yes, I’m secretly waiting for Reaver and Silas to rock the boat ;) I just like Silas (even from the beginning when I found out he was Asher. I’m demented 🤷🏻♀️)
At one point in the story, I felt like there was so much plot going on, Elish and his proxy worms wanting to control the family, Gage emerging with proxy worms again, proxies worms goes into a worm battle, and then Bastian and his Lycans and Nightcrawlers come in. Sky is bad and works with Bastian on killing immortals (Gage also has that same hit list going on). I caught on with everything but it was just a lot going on at one point.
Reaver is hands down my favorite guy. His POVs crack me up. He’s an asshole that’s nonchalantly funny but you don’t want to fuck with him nonetheless.
Killian was always the character, I didn’t really care for but didn’t want him gone at the same time . I see his purpose and I like his “mother Massey” personality as well.
Jade and Elish.. 🙄🙄🙄🙄
Silas, I’m sure I’m in the minority on here as well, I do understand why people wouldn’t like the dude. But I like him. I always have. I see the resemblance on Killian and Silas, when we first met Killian.
Reno, love the guy. I’m glad to see someone in the book that’s not “insane”. He’s a breath of fresh air in the book. And I do hope Quil keeps Reno how he is.
Malachy, I do have to say is quite the character. His shit was making me laugh.
I waited patiently for this book and it was worth the wait. I hate cliffhangers though but with Fallocaust, I can bear the excruciating pain of waiting for the next one to come. New interesting characters that I like and hate and of course the the old gangs and my babies that I have a love and hate relationship with. Lovers drifting apart, enemies into allies, endless plotting, scheming and more secrets to unveil. But Quil, what's happening with my babies?! Reaver and Killian? Elish and Jade? What are you planning with them? They are my babies and I hate what's going on with them right now. I know you will do right with them at the end but still, I'm nervous and scared right now. Please let them be okay next volume. Again, I will be waiting for Volume 3 in vain.
It's a bit hard to explain why this series is so compelling, but I think it's brilliant. This book in particular has a lot of elements that might be off-putting or flat out non-starters for some, but dang, I feel like telling everyone I know that they should read this. Quil is so good at keeping it fresh and suspenseful. I mean, there's suspense just to read what the next sentence is going to say. I find everyone's point of view interesting. I never skim or skip ahead with these books. Yeah, they're long, but you totally get your money's worth in the quality of the writing and the entertainment value.
I'm a little anxious now because my guys - Elish, Jade, Reaver & Killian - aren't acting their normal selves and I'm scared for them. "Good and evil were all just perception, and everybody's perception was different." ~ Reaver. This about sums it up.
Quil Carter is brilliant. The Fallocaust series continues to keep it’s firm hold on me. After each book of the series I’m exhausted. But this book, THIS BOOK, has taken such a sharp turn from the other books. I’m starting to question alliances and motives. In the other books I was always sure of Elish/Jade and Reaver/Killian....and now? NOW?! Soooo much going on.
Oh and another thing....Silent Ground. Nightcrawlers. I love it! If you haven’t read this Author’s Silent Ground series, now is the time. I was beside myself when the term Silent Ground appeared in this book and found myself chuckling quite sinisterly.
Until the next book comes out, I’ll be leisurely re-reading the Fallocaust/Silent Ground series. This time, I’ll be making a diagram of characters. I just can’t get enough of this 5 Star series.
This series has so many twists and turns that I can't keep up and it's SO mentally and emotionally draining, especially this book. What in the world happened with my favorite couple?? I'm so sad... Reaver's actions towards the end made absolutely no sense, nor did Killian's. The entire proxy worm angle headed by Elish and Jade is not really working for me. I'm also not a fan of the whole Elish/Killian getting closer. I still can't stand Reno. Still one of my favorite series, but definitely not my favorite book IN the series. This author has such great writing style though - how could I read through what crazy Malachy did and then actually feel bad for him?!? Also, how cute are Drake and Dexter?
Every time I think it can’t get any worse, it gets worse
I was BEYOND stressed reading this, I cried twice, and I didn’t think about anything other than the boys during the four days it took me to finish this. This whole series is absolutely beautiful, but this one ripped my heart out, tore it to pieces, stitched it back together, and then placed it back inside my trembling body. I spent half my time trying to decide whether I hated or loved almost every character, and the other half just desperately hoping that things would be okay. Things were never okay.
Fuck Sky, fuck Bastian, fuck Gage, and fuck me for becoming completely enamored with this series
6/5 stars
Onto the next
