Jeremy is a new volunteer at the homeless shelter. Keri wants to help him settle in and they soon become friends. He’s more than meets the eye and she’s a real sweetheart.

Baseball is more than a hobby for Jeremy. He’s a famous short stop. Keri has a heart of gold and likes to help who she can. It’s time for her to take something for herself.

This is a sweet romance intended for an adult audience. It’s an easy read. 4 stars out of 5.

I got pulled in by the hot guy on the cover and the cute blurb. Sports romances are one of my favorite tropes. But I felt like the MC's lacked zing/pep/chemistry. I wasn't feeling them and so the story, which sounded great on the blurb, just fell flat for me. GR's guide says that 2-stars means "it was okay", which is exactly how I feel about this book.

Short Stop to Love is a good story, although a little slow at points. Jeremy is working incognito at a homeless shelter where meets Keri. They begin to date but he doesn't tell her who he really is, a professional baseball player. These two date while dealing with the paparazzi, a crazy ex-girlfriend that wants Jeremy back, and a jealous teammate. Will these characters be able to move forward with all the obstacles in their way? I hope you enjoy this story.

When Keri is encouraged by her best friend, Joann, to ask out her fellow volunteer, Jeremy, she never imagines what having him in her life will bring about.

Keri volunteers regularly at a homeless shelter. It's her way of contributing to the kind of place that was home to her in her last years of high school after her father died and she was scared to be stuck in her horrible foster homes. Jeremy is a fellow volunteer who seems to need Keri's help doing meal prep, so she takes him under wing and they form a tentative friendship. But she's developing feelings for him that she finally acts upon. Sounds great because Jeremy is sweet and so sexy, but he's got a huge secret identity that just may halt their relationship developing further. Will Keri be able to handle the spotlight his identity brings her, and their relationship?

You've probably already guessed Jeremy's identity so no need to talk about it, but let's just say it hampers their relationship a lot, along with Jeremy's manipulative ex and one of his malicious teammates. I loved reading how Keri and Jeremy navigate their relationship and the trials and tribulations of his identity, and how they behave like mature, realistic adults. That their connection is really passionate is an added bonus. If Short Stop to Love is the quality of AM Williams' writing, I definitely plan on checking out more of her stories.

When Jeremy and Keri began dating neither could of anticipated the way their attraction would blossom and love develops. With his secret he is unsure she will stay by his side. Can the love she feel for him be enough to make this duo's love pull them through the media frenzy ahead?
So much fun, love and passion will have you cheering for them.

This was a pretty good book I did find it a little slow in places but overall it was an enjoyable read. Keri and Jeremy meet at a homeless shelter where they both volunteer is a professional baseball player but is keeping his identity a secret and does not tell her even when they start seeing each other of course it is not long before it comes out and they are having to deal with him being a celebrity. It was a good love story and I enjoyed it.

Jeremy is a professional baseball player who volunteers at a homeless shelter where he meets Keri. They begin dating before she knows who he really is. They have a lot of bumps along the way dealing with his famous status , a crazy ex girlfriend and a jealous teammate. Can they survive it all? This is a sweet romance that moves quickly and smoothly and I enjoyed reading.

They meet at a homeless shelter where they are helping. What she does not know is that he is a famous baseball player. Can she cope with that? How will she stay with him? Will she leave him? See what she will do

Lovely characters in a steamy romance.

Keri and Jeremy meet while volunteering at a homeless shelter, which gives you an insight into their lovely natures. When they get together, wow, the sparks definitely fly.

Jeremy is a famous baseball player and he keeps this side of his life a secret initially, taking her on sweet dates. When it does finally come out, the publicity puts a strain on their relationship. The question is, will it survive?

A well written story with genuinely nice characters.

Couldn't really get into the writing of this book. The storyline was okay but it just didn't keep my interest and I ended up skimming most of the story

This is the first book by this author I have had the opportunity to read and I was very delighted with the story. I liked Keri and Jeremy's story. It was enjoyable to see how they maneuvered around the challenges in having relationship with each other. They definitely have chemistry but knowing what he is does makes a relationship with him very challenging in fact it adds major obstacles. Plus, their are a couple of people that make it even harder. This is a very well developed story that I thoroughly enjoyed!

What’s not to love about a man in baseball pants?

Keri and Jeremy meet while volunteering at a homeless shelter. There is definite chemistry, but neither acts on it. As time goes on, they become friends first then start dating. Keri has no clue that Jeremy plays baseball and is not happy with how she finds out. They work that out, but there are other people in their lives that cause questions to arise throughout the story. Will they stay together and work it out? Only way to find out is to read this story.

While volunteering at a homeless shelter, Keri finds herself drawn to Jeremy and finally gets the courage to ask him out. Once together the sparks fly, but when Keri finds out the secrets he has been hiding will the relationship last? Will his actual career cause more harm than good? With adorable characters and a storyline that had me hooked from the opening pages this was a great read. There is absolutely nothing better than romance and baseball.

It took me a little bit to connect with Keri and Jeremy. They did some things that either rubbed me the wrong way or I saw as unrealistic. However, the story did draw me in and I quickly made my way through it. Both Keri and Jeremy have to deal with the intrusion of living in the public eye. I thought they dealt with it well. I did predict who the troublemakers were and really feel like they should have seen it too.

Great chemistry, hot ball player and great friends

I won a copy of this book and boy am I glad. This book had chemistry from the start and a great story line! I loved Jeremy and Keri and all the side characters. I was laughing at the part where the family is in a group text. And the HEA at the ballpark was so romantic! I can't wait to read more

I loved the volunteer aspect of this book and the reasoning behind it. The whole book was such a great read. The characters were interesting, the plotline engaging and the chemistry between them smoldered before it sparked giving the storyline momentum. There were some great supporting characters who helped drive the story and the ending was very satisfying.

Easy sports romance.

This was a quickish easy to read sport romance. While there’s some drama, it’s pretty low angst. The characters are really well written and I feel like they had a genuine connection. It was my favorite aspect of the book. The story is entertaining and flows throughout the entire book. I enjoyed this book!

Chemistry sizzles when Keri crosses paths with Jeremy. They both volunteer at a homeless shelter and a genuine friendship builds, even though he keeps his identity hidden. Jeremy has his reasons and hopes Keri understands when the slow burn attraction leads to more. His past complicates their future, and intense media attention adds another twist to this sweet and sexy romance.

I found this a bit hard going, and struggled to continue reading it at points. In the end it was worth the time it took to persevere as it contained a solid storyline.

I really enjoyed this book. I love sports romances and this one didn't disappoint. Especially with the swoon worthy Jeremy! I did like that Keri didn't go crazy and shut out Jeremy with all the ex girlfriend drama.

Short Stop to Love started out a little slow for me but turned out to be a surprise! I worried at first when a few key points disappeared after the first few chapters but came back in toward the end. This was my first time reading A.M. Williams and will definitely be looking into more!
