Do you like romance with thrilling twists? Do you want down-to-earth heroes and heroines you can root for?
The Blackwood Elements series delivers all this and more with three full-length novels together in one volume.
When tragedy strikes, Akari Takeda moves to Boston with her young son to follow her dream of becoming a pianist. But three men get in her way—Jansen, the skilled but uptight violinist, easygoing Jude, who understands how important coffee is to a girl, and Lincoln, the smooth-talking janitor who looks good in leather. Which of them will steal her heart, and who isn't everything he seems?
After clearing up the mess in Boston, assassin Snow wants a fresh start of her own. But first, she needs to take a trip to paradise to give her ex what he deserves. That should be straightforward for a woman with her skills, but she’s not the only one who wants Raul dead, and newcomer Leo threatens to derail her plans in more ways than one.
Meanwhile, in England, novelist Augusta Fordham’s got a problem of her own, or rather, two of them. Caught between wealthy doctor Gregory and a dark stranger who makes her pulse race as he indulges her fantasies, will she choose comfort and security or take a leap into the unknown?
When she makes her decision, she’s thrust into a world of secrets and lies with no one to trust. Only Emmy, her new flatmate, seems to be on Augusta’s side as she discovers there’s just one truth: love is never easy.
Elise Noble is an English rose with a few thorns who loves chocolate, sleep, and well-defined abs. Not hers, unfortunately. She lives near London with a horse who eats all her money and three dogs who eat everything else.
Elise writes real, gutsy heroines and flawed but swoon-worthy heroes in stories that mix mystery and mayhem, humour and happily-ever-afters.
This is a great beginning for Elements, the sub-series to Blackwood Security. I would highly recommend looking up the reading order on Elise Noble's website because while one can start with these there are so many more little things you can pick up when you follow Miss Bible's intended reading order.
Wow. I loved all of these books. Akari’s story broke my heart when we first met her so I’m ecstatic that she’s found love and peace with Linc. Then Sofia or ‘Snow’ she was another character that I couldn’t wait to read about. Knowing she wasn’t complete after her book even tho she found her man. It made me anxious until we got the Carbon book. Phew. I like all the little loose threads tied up. Lol highly recommended this book and series
This is a collection of stories about three resilient women who put their lives back together and come out stronger after personal tragedy. I always enjoy books by Elise Noble because they are funny, snarky and of course have strong take no prisoners females.
Avec l’avis je m’attendais à moins d’actions évidemment pour Oxygen pour cette raison le 4 étoiles Par contre Lithium et Carbon étaient vraiment dans mes goûts - l’écriture est toujours bonne ! Merci Elise !!!
I liked the original Blackwood series and the Elements series are just as interesting. I like how all the characters intertwine from one book to the next.
I had already read Oxygen separately as a stand alone novel. I have reviewed each if these books individually on Goodreads. All well written, fast paced and intriguing characters. Great to see several o f the Blackwood series characters turn up in the books and also find out more details about them with each successive story. Highly recommended.
