She never trusted unconditional love. He never believed he'd be worthy.
Almost-Olympian gymnast Jordan Beck has coordinated an emergency vacation getaway in Puerto Vallarta for her broken-hearted bestie. Nightly parties, exotic drinks, and sandy beaches are just what she has in mind for her and her friends. She strives for perfection in everything she does and believes she's found it in the emerald-eyed bartender who doesn't back down from her challenge.

Zac Durant learned early on that life is a gift and he's determined to live his to the fullest. Scuba, surfing, tending bar by the ocean, his abuelita's tamales. He's content--until a Latina beauty struts across his pool patio and orders his best drink. Zac isn't the kind to hook up with the resort guests but Jordan changes his mind.

Zac and Jordan know this sensual interlude in paradise is a vacation fling but when sparks turn to fireworks, they are tempted to believe in something real. The illusion of perfection vanishes and Jordan panics, erecting walls around her cautious heart, sabotaging their chance at happily ever after. It is up to Zac to prove that unconditional love is worth a shot at the gold.             Sweet Escape Series:

The girls of the Sweet Escape Series are back again, and this time they’re headed to Mexico. After Liddy goes through a bad breakup, Jordan takes it upon herself to plan a getaway for them and Sam to one of the beautiful all inclusives of Mexico. Considering how well it worked for Sam when they went away (read Dry Spell), it only made sense to go on another trip when one of the girls was in need.

The resort is full of everything you could need for a girls getaway. Beaches, bars, shopping. It’s exactly what Jordan had planned to make Liddy feel better. What Jordan didn’t plan on was finding the hottest bartender on the resort to catch her eye. In comes Zac. The resort bartender who also happens to have moved to Mexico to care for his sick grandmother. Um, perfect much?

Jordan and Zac were both two amazing characters to read about. Jordan had her fair share of baggage from growing up and Zac hadn’t really found any one that piqued his interest because of bartending and caregiving. The moment they lock eyes, however, the attraction is instant.

I enjoyed the build up of the romance. While ok, yes, it was obviously insta-love because they met on her vacation and the time limit of their being together at the time was short, it was still cute. He never put any pressure on her to ditch her life and stay. They just lived in the moment and enjoyed their feelings for each other.

Mia London and Susan Sheehey know how to write some steamy scenes. There’s a scene in the garden (not a spoiler to anything I swear) where I was like “goddamn girl!” The romance was all realistic and cute. There was no point where I felt like it was too sappy. Except maybe the ending, but what romance doesn’t happy a sappy ending, let’s be real here.

My smallest issue was with one part of the plot. There was a little mystery added into the first half, which I enjoyed. However, there’s one thing that happens near the end where I feel like that really wasn’t necessary. I don’t want to spoil anything, but if you read it, you’ll know exactly what part I’m talking about.

Overall, I actually liked Hot Spell better than Dry Spell. Jordan’s story was so much more interesting. The romance was cute and steamy and I enjoyed it.

After reading and enjoying book one Dry Spell I was looking forward to reading more of this series. I wasn’t disappointed as I loved it.

Three girls escape for a girlie holiday. Book one was Sams story and now we have Jordan’s story. Jordan was so in need of a holiday with her besties. She didn’t expect romance, and she certainly didn’t expect to meet someone as hot as Zac.

Zac is a hard working yummy hot bartender. He’s not looking for love but when he sees Jordan everything changes.

Really enjoyed this story. I’m looking forward to reading Liddys story next.

The girls are at it again.  Except this time Liddy is the one needing the intervention.  After a horrible breakup leaving Liddy in tears,  Sam and Jordan decide it is time for a getaway.  Jordan books them at an all-inclusive resort  in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.  The plan is to get Liddy to have a vacation fun and get her ex out of her head.  Girls trip!!!

With an amazing resort full of parties, drinks and tons of men for Liddy to pick from, the girls are well on their way to an amazing week of fun in the sun.  What Jordan doesn't expect is to find the most beautiful emerald eyes picking her out of the crowd.  Man that bartender is hot!  She may have a fling this week as well.  ;)

Zac Durant is a bartender by profession, but loving care giver to his grandmother the rest of his time.  He doesn't have flings with guest.  But when a toned, tanned body catches his attention, he may just have to change that.

Sparks fly and the heat is up for these two.  But what happens when the fling starts to feel real?  How will Zac let Jordan go and say goodbye?  Because it is just a fling right!?

This is the second book in the Sweet Escape series and I love it.  This series is a fun and entertaining read.  Full of hot steamy romance and even hotter characters.  Each story finds its way to a happy ending and getting there is half the fun.

Overall this book was just as good as the first book Dry Spell.  It is hard to choose between the two.  So don't make me!  ;)  I really enjoyed Zac and Jordan's story.  It was the perfect mix of sweet and hot.  Zac is super hot and such a relaxed guy, so full of life.  But he doesn't let his looks go to his head, if anything he feels unworthy of such a beauty as Jordan.  I love Jordan.  She is full of zest and confidence.  But she still has her insecurities.  Real people.  I like that you can relate to these characters and their problems.

Not only were the characters fun and engaging, but the story itself was great.  I may have cried a tad bit, but don't tell anyone.  This book is the perfect blend of romance and humor with twist of danger.  My kind of read.  So grab your mango margaritas and read this exciting book, but don't forget the fan.  You are gonna need it for this hot read!

I devoured this great story in one sitting on a lazy Sunday morning. It was a fast-paced and hot romance that I have come to know by these two great authors. This is book 2 of the Sweet Escape series it can be read as a stand-alone or as part of the series it’s up to you. The first book we found Samantha Callahan finding her Mr right Chase Bradshaw in Santa Cruz, this book we are off to Puerto Vallarta Mexico to help Libby overcome her recent brake-up. But it is not Libby that finds her possible Mr right its Jordan; at this exclusive resort, the girls find exactly what they needed beaches, shopping, bars and good-looking bartenders. I received an ARC copy of this book and this is my honest and voluntary review of this funny, flirty and sexy read. I really love the relationship between the three girls Sam, Jordan, and Liddy and how there honesty and friendship help each other along the way.

Jordan Beck is an overachiever perfectionist who excels in everything she tries to do; this almost Olympian gymnast goes into life full throttle. That is almost everything but a romantic relationship, that is something she does not excel well at but will a green-eyed bartender in Mexico change her view on the perfect man or will it be just a quick holiday fling. Jordan has issues with being worthy of anyone’s love as she has always struggled to be good enough for her father.

Zac Durant lives his life to the fullest as he has learnt the hard way not to take it all for granted, his life in Mexico is full of the beach, scuba diving, working at a great resort and being there for the most important person in his life. Life is great now and he was completely happy until one afternoon at work a group of three ladies walked up to his bar. He had always been able to keep his distance from the resort guests until now, Jordan affected him differently and he had an instant desire to protect her.

But Jordan was only in Mexico for one week.

Zac cannot leave Mexico.

Jordan knows it’s just a holiday fling but her heart is saying different things.

Zac does not want her to leave.

Jordan’s heart can’t say goodbye.

After reading this book, all I can think is "man, I need a vacation"! Hot Spell is the second in the Sweet Escape series by Mia London and Susan Sheehey. I haven't read the first of the series but it did not affect my enjoyment.

After their friend Liddy goes through another horrible breakup, the girls decide a vacation fling is just what the doctor ordered. A few quick clicks and they're on their way to sun, sand and sexy times in Mexico. Although, they're off on an adventure for Liddy, Jordan finds a hot tamale for herself, as well. The bartender at the resort has got her a little hot under the collar and it's not just the Mexican sun.

Zac meets all kinds of women while working the bar at the resort but he's never met some quite like Jordan. Watching her do gymnastics on the beach is literally making his heart do flips. After moving to Mexico to take care of his ailing grandmother, he hasn't given much thought or attention to a relationship but Jordan is making all those dormant desires come flaming back to life.

When a series of robberies begin at the resort, Zac makes it his mission to protect Jordan and her girls, even if that means putting himself, and his heart, on the line.

I adored Zac from early on and I really enjoyed seeing Jordan finally recognize what's been holding her back and finally able to give her life away! Quick read packed with lots of action, heat and plenty of heart.

The intrepid trio are back!

After Liddy suffers from another breakup from a guy she thought was "the one", the girls set off to Mexico for sun, sea, sand and fun! Sam is totally loved up but Jordan is in need of a break as much as Liddy is. Jordan certainly didn't expect to meet anyone as hot, hunky or ripped as Zac and she most definitely didn't plan on falling for him either!

Zac makes a living as a bar tender whilst tending to his ailing grandmother and harbouring ideas of opening up his own dive shop. He is professional at work so when he feels the attraction to Jordan he's not quite sure how to proceed.

I love this trio. They are there for each other when they need it most, they are not afraid to throw their friends in at the deep end if they feel she needs encouragement and they'd gladly help each other hide the body of anyone who hurts the others!

Zac is handsome and he knows it but he doesn't let it define him and he a depth you don't often get. He really feels that Jordan is out of his league. My favourite scene has to be at the Glass Shop, that just pushed all my awwwwwww buttons! Jordan may be an ex-Olympian but she has stresses and self-esteem issues like the rest of us. Great mix of sweet, steamy, sexy scenes with heartfelt characters.

Hot Spell is book number two in the Sweet Escape series by Mia London and Susan Sheehey. This is Jordan Beck and Zac Durant's story.

Jordan and her friends are on another girl’s trip to help her to get over her last heartbreak. Zac at first appears to be a guy that has escaped to Mexico to work odd jobs and live life to fullest. As you get to know Zac you realize there is more to him and why his made the decisions he has made.

Zac and Jordan end up falling for one another. Jordan lives in San Francisco and Zac lives in Mexico so this can only be a vacation fling or can it be more?

Even though Zac comes across as just a fun guy there was just something that made me feel a connection to him. Now Jordan was a little harder to feel a connection to. As you get to know her you realize that Jordan is coming to terms with her issues with her father and boyfriends. This helped me to understand Jordan better.

A heartwarming and steamy read FYI, contains mature content. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

I'm loving this series so far!
This story follows Jordan, as they take a trip to Mexico to help nurse Liddy's broken heart! She meets Zac and he seems to knock down all her barriers she keeps up to keep her heart safe!
Enjoy their trip and all the goings on in the background, it holds your interest and you want to keep turning the pages! 5 stars and I can't wait for book 3!

This is book 2 in the Sweet Escape series and it features Jordan and Zac. This is a very witty, steamy, sad and romantic story full of friendship, loyalty, great sex, love and family. The highs were high and the lows were low. I couldn’t figure out how these two could ever make it work living in different countries and all. The journey was the ultimate vacation fling.

I love the friendship these girls have. It’s a lifelong kind of thing. Sam is a different person, in a good way, now that she is in love. I can’t wait to read Liddy’s story!

I was so excited going into this sequel/companion because I had so much fun while reading Dry Spell. Sadly I didn't have that same giddy feeling as I did reading the previous book.

If you've read my review of Dry Spell you'll remember I mentioned being concerned that the length of the book wouldn't leave enough room for the story to fully develop. While I didn't feel like it was a problem in that book I think Hot Spell could've benefited from being longer. There was quite a bit going on in the story and there wasn't enough time for each of these aspects to shine.

With that being said, I still think Hot Spell was an enjoyable read. Just like in Dry Spell my favorite part was the characters. I love the friendship between Sam, Jordan, and Liddy! They are always supportive but are never afraid to call each other out when they believe another is making a mistake. I also fell in love with Zac and his grandmother. This was a quick, fun read and I'm looking forward to seeing how things are rounded out in Cold Spell.

Loving this steamy, fresh, fun, almost insta-love series. Hot Spell revolves around Jordan & Zac. I so enjoyed reading of all the fun and frolic in Puerto Vallarta. Totally makes me want to take a vacation there. I loved Jordan's feistiness and zest for life. But I especially loved how she and Zac burned up the pages.

5 STAR Review by Jodi for Ruby Red Romance Review

I am so in love with this series. I loved these girls. Every time I read a new book in this series I fall further and further in love. This is Jordan's story and it's everything I was hoping for and so much more.

Jordan is funny, smart, and looking for no one. Jordan is loyal and needs to learn to stand up for herself. She and the girls are in Mexico to help Liddy get over a breakup. She never imagined finding the man with would turn her world upside down. Zac could have anyone he wants, but what he wants is Jordan. Working in a tourist town, Zac doesn't need to find a girlfriend. Zac is kind and loving. I love how much he cares for those that love him.

This story was beautiful and sent me on an emotional rollercoaster. I loved every second of this great story. Please check it out. I think Zac and Jordan might be my favorite couple, but we still have Liddy!

I received an ARC of this book and offered to share my thoughts and opinions in return. I truly loved this book. It is fun, flirty, and has a sexiness to it with the characters and their interactions together, but it does have serious tones to it such as him taking care of others and trying to be responsible and achieve dreams that he has. It is written well and flows easily, and will keep you entranced throughout.

The second book in the series is as fun as the first, but what I love about this one is it also takes time to dive into very serious topics. Great writing - I could almost feel the Mexican sun shining down on me.

Mexico is the beach for me.

Jordon is too much a perfectionist to fall for just anything man. The bar tender at the Mexico resort was a superior specimen of a male Adonis. Zac and Jordan are a perfect ten for a vacation romance.
