“Let's be clear here; I'm not looking for anything other than a great orgasm."
Perry Wreight is a man with a broken heart. He thought he’d found someone to build a future with, but Sarah wasn’t ready.
Perry spends months trying to forget about women altogether, but his beautiful, bickering bartender who reminds him of Pocahontas, has him thinking of silk sheets, her beautiful brown body, and him making love, not war.
Felicia Howell is a woman with a busy life, working multiple jobs to provide for her young children and trying not to fall into her no-good ex’s bed again and she doesn’t want some hot romance. All she wants is to relieve her sexual frustrations from time to time.
It's not wise to get involved with her boss, but she's been fantasizing about the sinfully sexy sourpuss since she met him.
This hookup arrangement seems like the perfect solution for the both until it causes them both to examine what they want, great sex or something more.
Kimberly Smith was born in Aurora, Colorado, and raised in Dallas, Texas. Nothing about her life has ever been simple or easy. She was raised by a single parent who was visually impaired. Kimberly always had an active imagination.
Please make these women more likable. Outside of sex, every interaction Perry has with Felicia is hostile. Anger isn't a personality. I get her being reserved & cautious but she hostile every time so what is he in love with? Good sex? She's shown him nothing else. She's not fun, funny or engaging with him at all. This seems to be a running theme in these books. Most of the women characters are rude & nasty to the men they're attracted to like it's middle school. Having a pokerface is good but they be doing too much. If you don't want a man to know you're attracted to him than you act indifferent not like he punched your mama in the face. It's too much given these are grown responsible women. I've read a few of this author's books and all of them expect one had the black women acting like witches to supposedly hide their desire & insecurity. Why?!!
This author is new to me but I would definitely read other stores by her. Felicia and Perry's take was very well done. I enjoyed their interplay, and the dialogue was realistic. I thought The supplementary characters added to the tapestry of this romance. The pacing was good, editing was on point. I gave it 4 stars because I don't prefer stories that aren't completed in one book.
I would have given this book 4 stars because of the cliffhangers, I don't like that, but I already knew that it was more then one book. I was looking for something to read so decided I'd give it a chance. I liked the story line so I have preordered the next one, can't wait. I just hope it doesn't take six books for their story to have a HEA!!!!! Great job👏👏
I know the book start out slow but now I see we be just getting start to the drama. I am going to the next book . I like how don't try to justify Ex boyfriend actions when he don't see his kids or help her an I like how she keep going for her kids and herself to make a better life for them all.
I really enjoyed Perry and Felicia's story. Loved that Felicia was a strong black woman but not over the top and Perry wasn't portrayed as the simmering weak in love white male. It was a good story.
Perry is Felicia's boss, they've decided to have a sexual relationship but Perry wants more. Felicia is trying to keep it strictly sexual but date has other plans for them.
Yeah really enjoyed this book. Lovely storytelling and just loved the characters. Had me laughing out loud. Can't wait to see how this story ends. I definitely recommend.
