From Wall Street Journal and USA Today Bestseller Vivian Wood

One minute, everything is normal.
The next, it’s all f*cked up. I’m left to pick up the pieces, alone.
Life turns out to be a series of these moments. Make it or break it, use it or lose it.
Everything is changed forever now. There’s no going back.
But I may be able to go forward. There is a light at the end of the tunnel.
And it’s in the shape of her.
Redemption Beach is calling...

This short prequel leads into the Bad Behavior Duet! It sets up the stories of the four alpha males of Redemption Beach, and the women that bring them to their knees. Enjoy!

Sometimes when a new series is coming down the pike, it is cool to get a taste of how all of the characters came to be. More and more authors are putting together Prequels, a method to give dedicated readers a feeling like they are there when all the trauma and life-changing events happened to the main characters of this new series. They work to humanize and justify personalities...why these people have grudges or strong bonds. Who has long standing crushes that are not allowed or acted on...It is a taste of things to come and can be very enticing...

Vivian Woods is a "new to me" author and Bad Beginnings is the prequel to Bad Behavior.
In this prequel, we are given just the tip of the iceberg here. We have the undercurrents of how all of these brothers and friends interact and have been cast in this series... yet there are still so many secrets and journeys to reveal.

This is free right now and can hold you over until Bad Behavior is released on July 10th.

Bad Beginnings : A Redemption Beach Prequel by Vivian Wood sets up the back ground of three brothers, Jameson, Forrest and Gunnar who have not had a great start. This book also introduces us to Asher who is Jameson friend and Emma who is Asher's sister. Emma and Jameson story gets started in the first book called Bad Behavior which is also the first book in the Bad Behavior Duet/series.
This books sets us up for a great series to come.

This prequel is a great beginning to an amazing group of characters. Asher, Emma, Jameson, Gunnar, and Forrest are absolutely impossible to fall in love with. Their characters are heartfelt and their story is even better.

I can't wait.

There is a evil side to these prequels.
They give just enough of a taste to be nearly desperate for the actual book. Lucky for me, I'm ahead of the game and already have Bad Behavior. Yay me!
Happy reading!

In this prequel we are introduced to 3 brothers Jameson, Forrest & Gunnar who have not had an easy life. We are also introduced to Asher, Jameson's best friend, and his sister Emma. They have led a privileged life.

Jameson & Asher have been best friends since they were in mid-school. Jameson & his brothers live with his grandmother, however, he is now responsible and taking care of his brothers. Trying to move around enough that the foster care system can never catch up with them to take them away from one another. Jameson drops out of school in the 9th grade to get a job and raise his brother's, vowing they will never be broken up.

Asher & Emma are from the rich / privilege's lifestyle. It's not their fault they were born into privilege. Asher & Jameson run a bar together. Must to the distain of his parents, who have never liked the brothers, and only say that Jameson is such a bad influence on their little boy.......

Emma has always been the younger sister. Who has always been off limits per Asher to any of his friends and to the brothers. They have always protected her, and thought of her as the little sister. However, Emma is now 24 and in law school, she's tired of being called off limits and protected as if she's a China Doll. Emma has only ever had eyes for Jameson. Jameson thinks he's an old man compared to her, as he is 10 yrs her senior, same age as her brother Asher.

Succinct introduction to the crowd of Bad Behaviour

The prequel nicely sets the scene for Vivian Wood’s upcoming Bad Behaviour duet and gives you an initial taster for the personalities and family dynamics of the characters within the books.

We meet Asher and Emma Alderisi, trust fund kids whose parents seem to care more about appearances and social standing than anything else. They definitely don’t want their children to mix with those from the wrong side of town, and that’s exactly where Asher’s best friend, Jameson is from. The same friend whom a young Emma carries a secret crush for, knowing her brother has made sure that Jameson knows she is off-limits

The Hart boys, Jameson and his brothers, were abandoned by their parents into the care of their Grandmother who died while they were still in school. Fast forward several years, we meet these gorgeous boys who now all work at the bar started in partnership by Asher and Jameson. The same Jameson whom a now grown Emma still carries a crush for, knowing her brother is almost manic about making sure all of is friends know is off-limits.

Emma is grown now, and that sh!t is starting to piss her off. I’m looking forward to hitting the first book in this duet next! 4.5 Stars.

In Bad Beginnings we are introduced to characters Jameson and Asher. Two unlikely friends, being they were the exact opposite. Jameson, dark and broody, eldest child of drug addicts. Being raised by his grandmother and then there was Asher, wealthy preppy school boy. Pressed shirts and clean cut. Jameson saves his ass from being bullied by the other kids at school and from then on they became best friends.

The prequel allows us to get a little insight on Jameson’s younger brothers Gunner and Forest, as well as Asher’s younger sister Emma. Emma is completely off limits for Jameson for apparent reasons, being his best friends much younger sister. But we always know the forbidden fruits always tastes the sweetest.

As we are taken from past to present, we find out Asher is engaged to be married to a woman Jameson doesn’t think of too highly about. And at the engagement party we soon find out liquor and bad timing is of the essence.

Vivian does not disappoint and leaves the door open for so many more twists and turns. You can’t be for sure, how the stories amongst these characters will truly play out. I’m highly anticipating the Bad Behavior, and so will you.

This prequel does what it's meant to do, get you hooked on these characters and make you crave more. In this prequel we are introduced to 3 brothers Jameson, Forrest & Gunnar who have not had an easy life. We are also introduced to Asher, Jameson's best friend, and his sister Emma. They have led a privleged life. These characters are all so different but all are so bonded to each other. Asher is about to marry a woman, Jenna, no one really likes. Forrest is with woman, Addison, who is controlling. Jameson goes from woman to woman never settling down. And Emma is the 24 year old who is off limits per Asher's rule. Which makes Emma crazy because she is an adult who can make her own decisions. Jameson and her have a connection that is so hot that as the reader you pray for them to break the rules. And a misunderstanding blows up Asher and Jameson's relationship. We are left hanging on. But don't worry. The rest of the story is available soon. I highly suggest to start this journey. I can't wait to see what happens next!

In this book we are introduced to two unlikely friends. Jameson is dark and broody, Asher is a weathly preppy school kid. Jamerson saves him from bullies and they are best friends ever since. alos in the Prequel we are introduced to Jamesons younger brothers and Ashers younger sister. of coarse the younger sister is off limits to Jameson with her being his best friends little sister right. bjut that is what makes forbidden fruit books all the better. I loved how this book jumped us from past to future and we see how their friendship has lasted. we also are shown that Jameson doesn't like Ashers fiancé to much. Plus when you throw in alcohol and engagement party and two people who have nothing but bad timing you have the making of an amazing book.
I am not a huge fan of prequels because I feel like they always let you down but with this prequel by Vivian Wood it leaves you wanting to know what happens next. It makes you want to know what the author is going to through at you. I couldn't wait to read the next book because this short Prequel left me wanting.

i read this book as part of an arc program. In this quick prequel, we are introduced to the three main characters in the Redemption Beach series. The first character is Asher, a young man that is best friends with Jameson. Asher comes from a very wealthy family and has everthing going for him. Jameson is from the wrong side of the tracks and drops out of school when his grandmother dies. She was raising Jameson and his younger brothers Gunnar and Forrest. Jameson worked as much as he could to provide for his brothers and keep them out of foster care. Asher would help Jameson any way he could and Jameson feels he owes him so much. Emma is Asher's little sister who has a crush on Jameson. Emma is in law school and helps out at the bar Asher and Jameson own. This prequel offers a look into these characters and sets up for the book Bad Behaviour. Another good start to a story that caught my attention from the beginning.

Great sneak peek at how the four male leads get their start. In this book we get a preview of Jameson and his best friend Asher along with Jameson's brothers, Forrest and Gunnar. Their is also Asher's sister Emma. Jameson and his brothers have had a rough start and somehow are all still together after they lose first their parents and then their grandmother. Jameson made sure when he was 14 to take care of his brothers and not lose them. He and Asher have remained friends all this time and now are grown men who co own a bar. I can't wait to see how their lives are now as grown men and what will happen when they meet the women who will capture their hearts. Could it be that Jameson has already met his in the form of Emma? The little sister Asher has warned all theree brothers to stay away from?

Bad Beginnings was a superbly written introduction to Jameson's, Emma's and her brother Asher's story. Although this series will be about Jameson and Emma, Asher plays a prominent role in their relationship and by the looks of it will make any romantic relationship extremely difficult and possibly heartbreaking. Emma always had a crush on Jameson and it grew into lust as she grew up. Asher saved Jameson when they were growing up so Jameson is unflinchingly loyal to Asher. Emma is off limits to Jameson at Asher's decree. But the fuse to their passion has already been lit.

The foundation was established in this story. We also meet Jameson's brothers (Forrest & Gunnar). It definitely has you intrigued as to what's going to happen. I suspect that Jameson and Emma's story is going to be intense and emotional. This appetizer definitely makes me ready for the next course!

Redemption Beach Prequel

Engrossing and heartbreaking. It’s so easy to get hooked in this character-driven story. The prequel sets up the main players and the backstory. We meet Asher and Jameson Hart who’ve become great friends. Though Asher is from wealth, Jameson comes from a broken family. Two addict parents who abandoned him and his two brothers, Forest and Gunnar, to be raised by his grandmother. In the face of tragedy, Jameson rallies together with his two brothers to avoid being separated by the foster care system. But it also means he has to quit high school to take care of them.

So begins the intricate dance of friendship and forbidden love. Asher’s sister, Emma, is off limits to Jameson. Although the attraction is undeniable between Jameson and Emma, Jameson isn’t willing to jeopardize his friendship by betraying Asher. You won’t want to miss this heartfelt story.

Bad Beginnings: A Bad Behavior Prequel (Bad Behavior 0.5) by Vivian Wood

5 out of 5 stars

Bad Beginnings is the prequel in A Bad Behavior series written by Ms. Wood and it’s the first book that I have read by this author and it won’t be the last either… this is a short story for use to get to know these four alpha males of Redemption Beach, and the women that bring them to their knees. We have three brothers Jameson, Forrest and Gunnar and they haven’t really had a great beginning in life. Then we have Asher Jameson’s best friend and his sister Emma. There is one rule Asher told all the boys need to keep their hands off of Emma.
In the next installment we will get to see Jameson and Emma.
Will Jameson and Emma get together? What will Asher say if and when he finds out?
I can’t wait to read the next installment. I highly recommend this book…

As an introductory prequel, this book does a wonderful job of setting up the characters, their history, their relationships with each other, and the main conflicts that will be addressed in the duet.

Jameson has had a hard luck life, a complete contrast to that of his best friend, Asher, and Asher's sister, Emma. Jameson values his friendship with Asher above everything else, including any potential relationship with Emma, who Asher insists is off-limits for his friends. Emma, however, has other plans, and she's got an inner strength that will serve her well in standing up for what she wants in life.

This extended prologue is well worth reading, especially if you're going to read their whole story in the following duet.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

This prequel is a great start to the Bad Behavior Redemption Beach duet. I loved the characters of Emma, Jameson, Asher, Jenna, Gunner, and Forrest. From the very first page, I was spellbound by these fantastically described characters that you will find yourself falling in love with—or not. This prequel gives us some insight on Jameson’s family life as well as Asher’s family and their friendship. The dialogue and the push and pull between the characters make for a hugely entertaining read, full of witty dialogue, sensual scenes, and sexual tension. I cannot wait to read Bad Beginnings, which is sure to be a great read. The scenes are well written, fast-paced and flow smoothly from one scene to the next.

Wow , what a brilliant prequel to the Redemption Beach story
Best friends are hard to come by but Jameson is lucky meeting Asher at school. Two friends from different backgrounds. Asher, a wealthy background but Jameson, well that’s a different story . After his grandma dies, he is left to care for his younger brothers, Forest and Gunnar. It’s never been easy.
Now older, they open a bar called “Cure” and now the fun starts.
Lots of girls, booze, flirting but one person Jameson can’t flirt with is Asher’s sister Emma. Now the fun begins.
A great start and looking forward to reading Bad Behaviour

I swear everytime I read one of Vivian's book's I think that was just fantastic and fall in love all over again with the story as well as the character's. This book though is the prequel to Bad Behavior and is the story of 3 brothers Jameson, Forrest & Gunnar and a best friend Asher and his sister Emma he's told them she is off limits, but just because he tells them doesn't mean she can't go after what she's waited for since she saw him...Jameson. This prequel gives you their history of how they all became friends and how it all began. You definitely need to get the prequel it's free then get Bad Behavior.

This is my unbiased opinion and my review.

This was well written but I have to say not my usual type of book. I am not big on cliffhangers and prequels. This gives you an idea of the background of the characters. I encourage everyone to give this one a chance. I enjoy Vivian Wood books. I do have to say Jameson take the bro code about sisters just a little to far at times. There's a lot of issues in all the relationships. Since I don't do spoilers you will have to read the book to find out what they are. This is a short book but it takes time to read or you will miss something.

This prequel introduces us to Asher and his sister Emma, and Asher's best friend Jameson, and Jameson's brothers Gunnar and Forest. It gives a bit of their history and starts to sets up the series. I found it a bit confusing trying to keep the characters straight and felt like I got to know about Jameson and Emma better. I am looking forward to reading the series and getting to know the characters better this prequel is a real tease!

I received an arc of this book and have voluntarily reviewed it.

I enjoy reading prequels to stories to get their back history. In Bad Beginnings we have the set up for the Bad Behavior duet. We meet Asher and Emma Alderisi, who seem to have it all, evidently they are from the right side of the tracks. Enter Jameson, Asher's best friend and Emma's secret crush. But her brother has made it well known that she is off limits. We get to see the different family dynamics , how the friendships are made. I really became invested in the characters and the story. A perfect set up for Bad Behavior.

Two polar ends becoming best friends but of course, theres the younger sister in the mix. Title definitely matches the story line and as a prequel, I absolutely love how it shares the background of the characters involved as it gives us a better understanding of the situation which then gears up for the first book, bad behavior. Great starting point, totally captured my attention and I can already feel my heart strings being tugged just by how close the two boys are. With the relationships involved, theres just going to be so many delicious twists

Bad Beginnings sets the stage for what is to happen in the upcoming Redemption Beach series. loved the teasing little glimpses I had of the new characters and can't wait to dive into their stories. I am intrigued by Jameson and looking forward to the direction his story looks like it will take. Like most prequels Bad Beginnings will give you a small tease of what's to come and left me wanting so much more. I am now eagerly anticipating Jameson, Gunnar, Forrest, and Asher's stories and can't wait to start this new series!

I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader copy of this book. Wow! Loved this story, it’s a prequel to Bad Behavior and can’t wait for more. This book gives you the insight into the lives of these four extremely hot men, how they are connected and how they are intertwined together and throw in Emma and Jenna and it’s going to be one hell of a ride. I have a feeling that we are in for the time of our lives with these men and women. You can’t count anyone out just yet!
