Based on the game of the same title, a variety of authors and artists write a large offering of short stories starring the various characters featured in the game. The stories range from being lovingly heartfelt, packed full of comedy and gags or being downright evil or messed up sometimes!
Various is the correct author for any book with multiple unknown authors, and is acceptable for books with multiple known authors, especially if not all are known or the list is very long (over 50).
If an editor is known, however, Various is not necessary. List the name of the editor as the primary author (with role "editor"). Contributing authors' names follow it.
Note: WorldCat is an excellent resource for finding author information and contents of anthologies.
I'm a sucker for Danganronpa - I've played all the games, seen both anime, read some of the English-localized manga, and even managed to acquire some of the original Japanese media (such as the first volumes each of both DR: Kirigiri and Danganronpa/Zero) - so, in a very digital age, why would I pass up the opportunity to read anthologies of V3, my favorite of the four games?
Despite the anthology being non-canonical (like the other two that follow it), it was such a fun read! The characters were quirky and unique, as were the individual scenarios; the art was well-done; and it was really nice to go in and read about more light-hearted antics with the kiddos of Saishuu Gakuen. Of course, if you plan on playing the V3 game but haven't already done so, be advised that the anthology contains potential spoilers.
Me ha parecido muy interesante y muy divertido. Lo recomiendo muchísimo si sois fan de la saga en general y por supuesto del V3. Es genial saber como serían situaciones cotidianas entre todos los personajes y conocerlos más a fondo.
I'm in a reading slump due to the dumpster fire that is the U.S., and playing Danganronpa with my friends is one of the only things keeping me sane at the moment. And this is just what I needed to fuel the brainrot.
non-canon so what can you really expect… some of these short comics were better than others, but frankly i found a lot of the characters to not be true to their characterization in the game and this is literally fanfiction so i know that’s to be expected, but i wanted just a little more consistency… i liked the ones about tenko and himiko the best though :3
