Not your typical self-help book but that's what makes it a good read. No Oprah-esque cheerleading for how amazing you are and the extraordinary life you can read. Instead, this book is much more practical and down-to-earth but no less positive and optimistic, in it's own just very realistic way. I quite enjoyed it.

Hmmm standard self-help guff with added gratuitous swearing. I gratuitously swear enough not to need it in a self-help book full of kitchen-table wisdom.

This is hard-hitting street talk. Manson doesn't mince words when he tells the real deal that's going on in real life. So his story is engaging.
