Up until about 3/4, I was just 'eh, it's a good idea, but it's constantly TELLING us things, rather than SHOWING us stuff as it happens... Plus there's heaps of skipped times too, with just a one or two line say time passed or while time passed, I spoke to that person and they said blah.' And the useless characters thrown in for a moments effect and then forgotten!!! Grrr.
After that point, the skipping and telling really was getting beyond a joke and annoying me no end... AND THEN THE EPILOGUE HAPPENED!
I'm not a writer so I don't know... but that wasn't an epilogue IMO. That was a 'almost forgot these chapters, but let's TELL you about them anyway'. And seriously? TWICE!?!?!? Did he not put his brain in that morning?
And FOR ME, it was ridiculous! The whole book was 'ooo, see I told you something bad happened before' or 'oooo, wasn't that serious!' Much of which came across as a bit OTT, but fine. If she had of really dropped down into the story, it could have worked. But that end was just too OTT to get over. I get she wanted to write a series, but it just a bit 'flash, bang and sparkles' (<-- yes, I've used that in another review in the last few months... but it works for this one too) with no substance in the end.
Pros: Jack and Shannon were genuine and likeable characters and ultimately I want to know what happens next for them.
Cons: the story felt very rushed, seemingly unimportant scenes were thrown in and the story dragged parts that I felt it should have glossed over while other parts flashed past without evoking the desired emotion, particularly the epilogue.
I will likely read the rest of the series just to tie off the story, however, it is not a book I would excitedly tell my mates to read.
The Arrangement was a story that I couldn't put down for anything once I got started. Shannon is a college intern for the local newspaper when she's assigned to interview sexy movie star, Jack. Their first meeting didn't go so well, but the chemistry they had wouldn't be ignored. Jack wants her badly, so offers up a deal which she couldn't refuse at the end of the day, which had her staying with him night & day for 7 days, then she has her interview with no muss no fuss. Neither counted on feelings which were caught but there are complications that each bring to the table which could help or hinder. Can they get past them?! You'll have to hit those one click buttons to find out, and as for me, I CANNOT WAIT for more! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
I really enjoyed how Jack and Shannon worked on their relationship. They overcame Shannon’s insecurities and survived Jacks deceptions as he struggled to cope with the demands of his career without it impacting on their lives. The story ended just when they had overcome all their problems and were happily planning their wedding. Then came the epilogue, and what an epilogue it was. Can’t wait for the next part.

Shannon Callaghan is a college intern working for the entertainment beat at the local paper. When she has to interview movie star Jack MacCarrick, finding him to be a pompus ass and storming off before they could even begin. It was fate they meet again and maybe they can both find a fresh restart of life. There are a lot of Insta love stories out there. This is one of them but it isn’t at the same time. I loved how neither one came right out and proclaimed their love, it was a slow build to put a foundation down before those three words were spoken. Honestly this seemed more realistic than most romance novels. All and all I enjoyed reading this book, it had whit, charm, romance, and made me giggle out loud a few times.
3.5 Stars The Arrangement is book 1 in the Unbreakable Love trilogy. It is told in third person POV from both Jack and Shannon’s perspectives.
While Shannon is interning she is tasked with interviewing Jack, a famous movie star. I think my favorite place in this book, is that first interview. Shannon has sworn off men, so when Jack hit on her, let’s just say it doesn’t go well. Lucky for Jack, he is given the chance to redeem himself. Shannon must find something she likes about him, because she agrees to 7 days of just the two of them, in New York. What could possibly go wrong? There’s no possible way either of them will catch will feelings...right?
I like the storyline, I just feel that the plot could have moved along better if there was more character interaction instead of just reading about it. With that being said, I am hooked and need to see how this all places out between Jack and Shannon!
I voluntarily read an arc and this is my honest review
Once I started reading this book it was difficult to put down until I had read the final page. It’s a really sweet romance, the plot is interesting, and the story moves along nicely. The two main characters have an immediate interest in each other, yet they have some stuff to sort out and even when they do get together there is still real-life issues that have to be addressed. This is the first book in this series, and it shall be interesting to see where it goes from here. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is a really good basic romance Jack and Shannon were two likable characters that face obstacles and hardships and both working toward a firm relationship. I like how well the author wrote about their journey. It was enjoyable to spend time reading. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
Shannon and Jacks story is not like the rest. Their first encounter is not remarkable. But their attraction is undeniable. But from the start they both have daunting issues to deal with before they can focus on each other , but when they do get together their love is heavy and real.

This is the 1st in a trilogy and what an intriguing story this is. Shannon is a college intern for the local newspaper, and when she is assigned to interview movie star Jack things do not pan out very well. This is a well written story which is intense and a slow burn love story. I was hooked throughout his addictive page turner, and I cannot wait to read #2.
Jack and Shannon are an unlikely pairing that have a connection and so much love for each other from the beginning. Throughout the story they're faced with issues that they've got to work through if they want to make what they have work. It's an intense read that'll hit you in the feels and has ending that you won't see coming. It's an amazing well written book.
This book has all the feels. Katherine is an amazing author who knows how to write! Her books are so realistic! Its so easy to get lost in her world while reading and that's the best kind of reading! I love the emotional roller coaster of Shannon and jack. Can't wait to dive into book 2! Definitely need to after that ending!!!
Jack is a movie star with a rule of not dating. Shannon is a girl who there to talk to the star about his film but leaves without one. With this being the first book in a series of three, I have spent more time with Jack and Shannon than any of my other characters, so they hold a special place in my heart. The story of this unlikely pairing shows that love, commitment, and refusal to give up can overcome even the most extraordinary of circumstances.
So excited for a copy of this book. If you have not checked out this author drop what you are doing now and check her out! One word to describe her is AMAZING!
