There’s only been one woman for me, and she’s never truly been mine.

But I don’t have much time for anyone anyway, with my focus on my career.

I’m a military man through and through, from generation to generation.

This one girl, though.

She stole my heart when we were kids, but it’s taboo, forbidden.

She’s my best friend’s little sister, and he’d kill us both.

After my mom recently lost my dad, a quick trip home to help her brings me face to face with the past.

It was just one wild night years ago, but I can’t shake it. She left before the break of dawn, going back to the sea, and I took my place up in the air once again.

But she’s never left my mind.

Her soft curves and sweet heart haunted me.

And now that we’re back in the same small town for two weeks, I find out she’s in a bad relationship and hiding a secret from me.

A four-year-old little man with my smile and her eyes.

My dream was to stay in the Air Force until retirement, but that dream has changed.

So have I.

Hey there. I'm Weston.

Have we met? No? Well it's time to end that tragedy.

I'm a former firefighter/EMS guy who's picked up the proverbial pen and started writing bad boy romance stories. I co-write with my sister, Ali Parker, but live in Texas with my wife, my two little boys, my daughter, two dogs, three cats, and a turtle.

Yep. A turtle. You read that right. Don't be jealous.

You're going to find Billionaires, Bad Boys, Military Guys and loads of sexiness.

Something for everyone, hopefully. I'd love to connect with you. Check out the links below and come find me.

I'm definitely in the minority here with this rating. But why? This was not good folks. Basically you have a strong, independent, spunky woman turn into a door mat because she becomes a mother. Um what? So Jo gets knocked up by her brother's best friend whom she doesn't tell he's going to be a daddy because 'reasons'? So if Zach (baby daddy) is Ryan's (brother) best friend wouldn't Ryan tell his 'best friend', Zach, his sister got knocked up and no one knows who the father is? Like just in passing on the phone one day or out having a beer? And wouldn't maybe Zach figure it could possibly be him? Nope that never comes up. I guess being in the Air Force means you can't share personal life events with anyone? Jo decides that she must quit her dream job working for the coastguard to have this baby. Are mothers not allowed to be coastguards? Why does she have to give her dream career up? Again 'reasons' I guess. Jo ends up working in her father's bar because somehow working late nights at a bar is more compatible with motherhood. Oh and the best friend that Jo has in the coastguard is completely dropped as a character. Bye bye bestie. Don't worry she gets another one. Jo also gets a pathetic abusive alcoholic boyfriend. Jo's personality takes a nose dive once again because kids change people for the worst? This is sending all sorts of wrong messages here. Having kids means giving up all that you want and deserve. Yup that's how it works. Zach, the hero, eventually quits the air force (which he loves) and comes back to town. Why is this called Air Force Hero then? He's only in the air force for like 5% of the book. Also why does Zach have to give up flying completely to spend more time with his mom? Can't he like give flying lessons or just rent a plane every now and then for fun? Nope it's cold turkey people. I hate it when an author gives a character a profession but knows nothing about said career. It's call research people. And for an author who spends most of the book telling and not showing you'd think there would be more words on this. I had so many questions throughout this whole book. Most of the characters motivations didn't make any sense, the chemistry was lacking and fuck why did I read this and not DNF? This whole book terrible and the same goes for the model on the front cover. Geeze that's the best looking guy you could find?

Ugh

I liked it until Zach said he'd been with other women in the timeframe he was with Jo. He seems to really care about her, so his behavior doesn't add up. I don't like slutty characters, either. I wish some books would be written with true romance and non-promiscuous characters. Not only is it waaaay overdone, it's gross and not at all fitting for a romance novel because it's the opposite of romantic.

I'm not rating as I DNF-ed around 25%.
I'm all for a secret baby/single mother romance, but I just couldn't deal with the attitudes the main characters had and some of the decisions they took.
To continue reading might put the physical integrity of my kindle at risk and I am not willing to chance it.
Air Force Hero most certainly did not work for me.

PS: Thank God it was available through KU or I might have broken down and cried.

I'm not a fan of any woman who refuses to tell the father he has a child, but the fact that when Zach found out, he had absolutely no negative reaction? She hid his kid from him, and left that child (who had some sickness) in the hands of a drunk? What? He should have at least had some reaction to that!

The conflict was resolved way too quickly without any repercussions. Zach missed 5 years of his son's life - for nothing. Sam had no reaction to the only father figure he'd ever known going away. There should have at least been a reaction.

Face To Face With His Past👱

Good, very well written second chance adult romance. Military dad not so much, only in the beginning.
I kept having a deja vu feeling much of the way through this book📑, and I couldn't shake it off. So it probably isn't all that original, but it's still a good read.
Most romances are written to a formula, so that's what you get.
I still like Weston's 📚books, because they usually have some fights👊💪 and motorcycle rides in them, which are always exciting. The characters dialogue is normal conversation, nothing stilted or weird, here.
In this book📑, the reappearance of the drunken ex boyfriend, Kyle👹, after he has been banished, gives the author an excuse for a well written fight scene👊💪 with our studly hero, Zach🐺🍆🌋.
I liked the book📑, it flowed along seamlessly from scene to scene and it didn't have much of the angst so common with this genre. Too much angst ruins a book📑 for me. I read this kind of genre to be entertained, not to be stressed out.
Lots of extremely well written sex scenes from a man's point of view add to my enjoyment of Mr. Parker's books.
Great job, Weston!

ARC Received.
I also got the book📑 with KU.

The author(s) have a wonderfully natural way with dialog which really makes this book a winner. The second chance plot is well done and the characters are interesting. Even the drunkard soon-to-be ex-boyfriend was interesting.
I do have some questions in regards to why such big guys would want to get inside such tiny cockpits. My brother was an F14 pilot and I never heard they were spacious.
Overall, the book is a smooth, fun read and I recommend it and will probably read more by this author. Unusual to find a male author writing romance, but he seems to have found his niche and exploited it nicely. Recommended.

REVIEW: 3.75 stars-- AIR FORCE HERO by Weston Parker is a contemporary, adult, stand alone, erotic, romance story line focusing on Air Force Pilot, Major Zachary Flynn , and bar owner Josephine Hart.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Jo and Zach) AIR FORCE HERO follows the multi-troped storyline focusing on the best friend’s little sister/ secret baby / second chance/ military romance and relationship between Air Force Pilot, Major Zachary Flynn , and bar owner Josephine Hart. Five years earlier Zachary Flynn reconnected with his best friend’s little sister, Josephine Hart, and following a one-night stand they both went their separate ways. Fast forward to present day wherein Zachary, now retired following the death of his beloved father will come face to face with his past, a past that holds a secret he knew nothing about. What ensues is the rekindling relationship and romance between Zach and Jo, and the potential fall-out as Jo’s ex looks to even the score.

Josephine Hart walked away from the only man she would ever love but discovering she was pregnant meant choosing between her own happily ever after, or destroying Zach’s dreams of Air Force stardom. Zachary Flynn had no idea what transpired in the five years since he last saw Josephine Hart but to discover that she may be the mother of the son he never knew meant a second chance for Zach to start over with the woman he loves.

The relationship between Zach and Jo is one of second chances; a secret baby, best friend’s younger sister relationship wherein Zach hopes to rekindle what they started years before but a relationship that begins with a secret from the past. The $ex scenes are intimate, passionate and seductive without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

We are introduced to Josephine’s brother Ryan, and their parents; Jo’s best friend/ co-worker Rosie Westmore; Zach’s mother; fellow Air Force pilot Grady, as well as Josephine’s soon to be ex Brett; and Jo and Zach’s son Sam.

AIR FORCE HERO is a sexy and sassy story with a spirited and likable couple whose attraction to one is reinforced by time and distance. The premise is engaging; the characters are colorful, lively and charismatic; the romance is moving and provocative.

Wow. This story took my through a lot of emotions. It is sweet, sexy, steamy, painful and has twists that are unexpected. It love the mix of steam, drama, secrets, taboo, possessiveness and protectiveness.
Absolutely a story that keeps the reader on the edge. It is so well written and the writing style and use of words makes you feel you are there with the characters. They are also so likeable and real.
Recommendable and absolutely worth the read.

Good Girl

Consider this review a big spoiler alert 💣

If the term “good girl” irritates you, then pass. This was not my only issue with this story, just another brick in the wall. There’s several terms that were way over used. Humanitarian Assignment; good girl; sloppy wet; you lot
Whole concept of Jo’s character I found annoying, she’s a single mom by choice with family support, yet loses her backbone becomes insecure, working nights, leaving a 4 yr old with a drunk who barely tolerates him, doesn’t even have the sorry excuse that she “loves” him. Nope just being with a drunk asshole is easy. And with that said cheating is still wrong, get rid of him bc it’s the right thing not bc you think you can replace him. surprise the muck hits the fan.
Then we have Zach, type A personality, fighter pilot, gives up his spot to coddle his mom, anybody with that kind of love for flying doesn’t just step away. Fun fact humanitarian assignments are temporary, do not excuse the rest of your commitment. Pregnancy, new found children or the death of family doesn’t mean easy out of the military. He hears Jo has a child that she did not mention, immediately starts to calculate the possibility, followed a trigger inducing hook up, 3 breaths after a serious potentially dangerous confrontation, snap, you the dad.. no anger, no mistrust, no questions as to stupidity of newly disposed of idiot -just zen like acceptance
Sam is made out to be a great extremely resilient kids- hooked on math and chemistry sets at 4 with panic attacks with none of mother’s insecurities despite being stuck with the drunk idiot.
Acceptance, support, open mindedness, loyalty, undeniable love are all great things but the presentation here is just disappointing and hard to phantom.

I mostly enjoyed the book all the way up to the child reveal. He wasn’t even a little bit mad about not being told…just sad. Nope nope nope doesn’t ring true. Then everything started to fall apart for me. It was weird enough that in the 4 years Ryan never told his “best friend” Zach he had a nephew that he adored. We were told that Sam met his new Grandma and that they broke the news to Jo’s dad about who Sam’s father was but we didn’t get to see any of it…I also have no idea where Jo’s mother is at but I’m guessing dead and I missed the mention of it. It is a mention that Sam is going into preschool…what seemed to be a minor time jump now has his birthday with his kindergarten friends and then a year later he’s going into 1st grade at a NEW a school. He hasn’t moved, why is he at a new school? Does Texas not have kindergarten in the elementary school??? And the fact that they never met his teacher or have seen the classroom….I don’t understand. My kid is 23 and I met the teacher and toured every classroom in elementary school. Is this a Texas thing or is the author (and editor) child free and actually don’t know how this whole school thing usually works?
Sex was ok but it’d be fantastic if the author stopped using the term “sloppy wet/ mess”. I thought “moist” was a trigger for me until I kept seeing the word “sloppy” 🤢 Not sexy and definitely not hot.

Story Okay, Writing Good!

This was an okay story. I love Weston and bad writing is always so good, but this was not one of my favorites from him. I know a portion of my opinion is really personal because I simply hate the idea that a person good without knowing their is for any period of time.... but 5 years. Not good with this story because there was just no good reason but it. A couple of years, maybe, but 5! It was really long, too. Kind of unnecessarily long. I even skipped some of the "intimacy" parts and I never miss this parts written by Weston. The things that happened with Zach & Jo after she had to confront her ex-boyfriend was a little ridiculous. Her ex-boyfriends habits fully known about, but Jo still allowing him with Sam was a bit unrealistic when she was described as someone who would to the exact opposite. It contradicted her personality. Still, the love and sweet interactions between the characters, the writing about their army days and friends was good.

Book One: Air Force Hero: A Single Mom Secret Baby Love Story
4 Stars
I purchased a copy of the steamy Texas set novel A Military Man Romance Novel Book One: Air Force Hero: A Single Mom Secret Baby Love Story by Weston Parker in KU and this review was given freely.
Irony and angst are combined with some poignant and heartwarming moments in this steamy novel where childhood crushes turn into one night of abandon that alters the course of Jo, Zach, and Grady’s military careers but bring them fullness through love and family.
Featuring the day-to-day lives of four closely linked friends and moments with Zach’s Air Force roommate/ military brother, this is a reunion novel featuring former cocky career Air Force pilot and playboy Zach, who has come home to support his recently widowed mother only to discover, he is still strongly attracted to his best friend’s little sister Josephine, former career Coast Guard member, who is in an abusive relationship and keeping a secret from him.
18+ for violence and extended intimate scenes.

Loved this secret baby, second chance story

The story starts out with Jo and Zach running into each other while enjoying a night on the town. She's in the Coast Guard, he's in the Air Force. The chemistry between them is of the charts from the beginning, but she skips out on him. Years later, they have a chance to reconnect. Things are more complicated, but their feelings for each other haven't changed.
I not only loved these characters, but the way their story played out as well. With a well developed story line and likeable characters that I could root for, Air Force Hero had me captivated. I loved the little side romance between Jo's brother Ryan and her best friend Josie as well. This book is loaded with feel good moments, and steamy, swoon worthy scenes that had me hard pressed to put it down.
Totally worth the read.

Great HEA story

I have read this story before but bought it again not knowing I had it in a box set. But it was so worth it.
Overview. Joanna was in the coast guard and her crew had the night off and went to a local bar that was known for service people. When she was at the bar getting beers and shots, a guy approaches and offered to buy. She says no, then looks up to find Zack, her brothers best friend and her school girl crush. They dance and get drunk, and end up finding a hotel nearby. Jo leaves Zack sleeping. A month later, Jo finds out she is pregnant and decides not to tell Zack or Ryan who the dad is. Jo leaves the coast guard and goes home to run the family business and raise her son Sam. All was ok until Zack moves home after his dad's sudden death. So Zack decided he wants Jo for good, even if she has a son. That was before he finds out the son is his.

This Military Hero doesn’t give up

Air Force Hero: A Military Secret Baby Romance by Weston Parker is a well written secret baby romance with a fantastic alpha Air Force fighter pilot and a fiercely independent Coastie.
There’s so much to love about this book! Military romances are a favorite genre of mine, so this fighter pilot ticks that box. Secret babies and second chances are also favorites so, Air Force Hero is the trifecta for this reader. The characters and plot are highly engaging and entertaining. I absolutely adored reading this couple’s love story and the forming of their family from beginning to end.
Overall, this military romance was a wonderful read and I adored Sam. Zach and Joanna’s HEA was super romantic and so very sweet. I loved it all!

Sweet

Loved Zach. The perfect hero, who is genuine and a good guy. Jo is a kick ass chick and one who won’t take things laying down. Growing up together since Zach was Ryan’s, Jo’s older brothers best friend, since they were kids. She always had a crush on him. While home from the coast guard and him just back from a fly in the Air Force they have a drunken night that has consequences that appear nine months down the line. But she never tells Zach. Fate plays her part and things place them in each others paths again five years later. I like their relationship. It’s real and honest.

First book I have read from this author. I enjoyed it for the most part. I do think if someone had hid your child from you for 5 years you would have been pissed. He acted like it was no big deal which didn't seem real.
Jo was back and forth with her actions. When she first met Zach she was all bold and went after what she wanted. The minute she found out she was pregnant she turned into a weakling. For 3 years she stayed in a relationship that was mentally abusive and didn't fight back. The minute Zach shows back up she turns into a different person. Being a single parent should have showed her the strength she had instead of showing her all of her flaws.

Totally Hot Read.

First off, in my opinion,..any book by Mr. Weston Parker is never(ever) a bad choice. He seems to have a handle on what women want, are thinking, or fantasizing about. That said,..his stories are always interesting, intriguing, suspenseful, entertaining and super steamy! His characters are well rounded and you love getting to know more about them! This book had me from page one until the end. I enjoyed every moment of this story. Fell in love with Jo snd Zach! Keep up the good work Mr. Parker. I can’t wait for the next one!

Liked it, but...

Mr Parker writes a good book so it's safe to just buy & read. Well written & no editing issues. My only problem was I have issues w/hidden baby stories & I couldn't find any logical reason for the h to have kept the secret. Could not find any redeeming qualities in her even aside from that to make her likable to me at all. The H was a great guy & the friends/family in the story made the book enjoyable. The sex scenes were plentiful & a bit drawn out but if that's not your thing they're easily skippable & don't lose anything plot wise.

Air Force Hero: Secret Baby

They knew each other for years. Her brother was his best friend. But he left and went into the Air Force. Years later she met up with him in a bar with her crew, she went Coast Guard. A on night together left her with something more than a memory. Now five years later he is back in town. She is with another man, but her son looks just like him. What happens when he saves her from her abusive relationship? Will they be able to make this relationship work? Or will he leave again?

Loved it

Has always what a brilliant read from Weston Parker. Loved the characters and how a chance meeting 5yrs ago could go on to become a truly great love. It just have been a shock for Zach to find out he had a child but the way he reacted was just perfect. I loved all the challenges they each had to over come to get to the point where they could live happily with their perfect family. Such a heartwarming read

Air Force Hero

Your job is in the military, doing what you love, Zach is a pilot for the Air Force, he is set to make a career of it. Jo, is a friend from home, also has a career in service, different branch, Coast Guard. One night on the town, ran into each other, fun, friendly, flirty, exciting, hot, sexy, and a chemistry they both couldn't deny. Years later, they meet up again, those feelings, where will they lead? Great, amazing story, loved it❤️.

Zach & Jo

This was my first Weston Parker book and it didn't disappoint. I fell in love with all the characters, especially Zach. He was an all around great guy. And his reaction to finding out about Sam was amazing. Although I would've been emotional if I were in his place.
I would've loved to had read more about Rosie and Ryan's relationship. They seem like a fun and hilarious couple to follow.
Great story!

Heartwarming and Steamy

Jo and Zach knew each other growing up and never expected to run into each other years later while they were both in the service. A sort of one night stand can’t be forgotten by either of them, even after 5 years and both of their lives have changed drastically. Their longing to be together and chemistry can’t be denied. Sweet, sentimental and hot — Weston has the right formula and this one is another winner.

Zach and Jo were great characters. I loved Zach's reaction to his son and his new life even though it wasn't what he imagined he wanted. I loved that Jo told him and welcomed him in. My only problem is half the story was like a long epilogue or bonus chapters. I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop, more tension but there wasn't really anything climatic, I think the climax happened a little early on in the book. But I still enjoyed the read.

Good read

This book has plenty of angst, humor, loads of sex, surprises, and romance. And throw in a couple of really good fight scenes. I won't describe the book because you can get that from, guess what......The description. It's well written and flows well. The only complaint I have is each chapter switches out the character narrating in the first person. I'm just not fond of writing that way. Otherwise, I really like the book. Highly recommend.
