Crossing The Border

Rate this book
Horrified at what he has done and terrified of the consequences, Peter must flee. But where? In an alternate 2057, violence in the U.S. is an all-consuming cancer. Nowhere is safe. Well, almost nowhere. The Lost Land is a possibility, but not an attractive one. In the end, though, he has no choice.
Rose Horne is drawn to the Lost Land, but is reluctant to leave her family and her new love. Ultimately, Rose is compelled to depart for the Lost Land and abandon her love, but a shocking act of violence frightens her family into escaping with her.
Now, hunted by killers and unknowingly thrust in the middle of an international nuclear conspiracy to destroy the Lost Land, Peter and Rose must fight off demons within and without if they are to survive crossing the border and save the Lost Land from annihilation.

Interesting idea on an alternative history kind of book. Crossing the border into "Mormon Country" is both desired and deadly.
