I borrowed this title via kindle unlimited and was very pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it. I've read several Emily Tilton books, with varying degrees of enjoyment but this one has to be one of my favourites.

Before I go any further I will say that you need to enjoy books that contain scenes that contain spankings, punishments and humiliation. There is some dubious-consent in the book, though Araminta thoroughly enjoys and indeed takes pride in many of the activities to which she is subjected.

There were several things that made this feel quite different and, as a result, more enjoyable. At first this was a 'make you squirm' type read with the degrading and humiliating actions performed against Araminta, but the way she processed her feelings and the mental spin she put on things swung the power in her direction. There was also the way that Red responded to her and how he, and to some extent the other men, felt about Araminta. Whilst their words and actions were designed to bring out her submission, very often there was a deep sense of caring from one or more of the men too.

I also liked that the men weren't a cohesive 'we know best' unit, their irritation with each other made them feel so much more human. Experiencing some of Araminta's training through their eyes also helped forge a connection with the men, particularly with Red and also Nesterius. I felt like I got to know these two men, and to some extent Federen. There were opportunities to get to know the characters, rather than this being a continual run of various kinky or punishment scenes.

I even liked the little touch of mentioning STD's had been eradicated and also the compulsory shower/ It conveyed that feeling of this NOT being so much about genuine punishment and humiliation, but rather that these were the best methods to ensure Araminta found true peace and happiness in her life on Draco.

Whilst this isn't a deep and meaningful read, it is a well written, very steamy and definitely NSFW erotic romance.

Greven Nesterius posa la version papier du dossier Lourcy sur la table de conférence et regarda autour de lui l'étendue de véritable chêne poli, le produit de la vieille forêt terraformée de Draco, vers les quatre autres hommes assignés avec lui à cette affaire difficile.

« L'algorithme dit, messieurs, qu'il faudra au moins un mois avant que notre fille ne montre la moindre inclination à nous remercier pour ce que nous devons faire avec elle. »

Greven fixa d'abord Red Strekin, puis Promin Federan, tandis qu'il terminait son premier coup d'éclat. Il pensait que les deux collègues représenteraient le plus grand défi pour la manière dont il comptait diriger l'humiliation d'Araminta Lourcy. Les règles en vigueur donnaient à Greven, en tant que maître spécial nommé par la cour d'arrivée, le pouvoir d'indiquer à chacun des quatre maîtres ordinaires comment discipliner la jeune fille et, si nécessaire, de les remplacer. Il n'était pas tant en désaccord avec le maître spécial qu'il avait très tôt décidé qu'il aurait pu faire bien mieux pour cette jeune fille confuse et fière que son collègue plus expérimenté. Greven avait beaucoup plus apprécié les affaires du deux-mâts, car à chaque fois, ils avaient ressenti un sentiment de partenariat, surtout pour l'éducation sexuelle des filles.

Araminta Lourcy était une fille aussi charmante qu'il en avait jamais vue. Greven était certain que tous ses collègues maîtres avaient autant hâte de la baiser que lui. La Terrienne, cependant, semblait susceptible de poser quelques difficultés à l'équipe de maîtres chargée de son cas. Greven comprenait qu'obtenir la pleine coopération des cinq maîtres lors de leur partouze – et encore moins lorsqu'ils tenteraient de lui enseigner les subtilités de la culture draconienne – mettrait à rude épreuve ses capacités d'organisation et sa maîtrise de soi, mais certainement pas au point de les briser.

À mesure que l'entraînement se poursuivrait, les hommes finiraient par apprendre naturellement à travailler en équipe.

La véritable difficulté résidait dans le fait indéniable que certaines de leurs qualifications particulières – pour lesquelles l’administrateur les avait bien sûr choisis chacun – dicteraient nécessairement l’approche de Greven lorsqu’il planifierait la honte d’Araminta Lourcy.

Il voudrait que Red lui donne une part plus importante de la fessée – la fessée à la main, en tout cas, que l'algorithme avait identifiée comme un élément essentiel de l'entraînement de la jeune fille. Lorsque Red la baiserait aussi violemment que le dossier de l'homme l'indiquait, Araminta Lourcy apprendrait à respecter l'homme ordinaire plus profondément qu'elle ne l'aurait jamais imaginé.

Greven tirerait également profit de la beauté mate du colonel Federan et de son attitude arrogante d'officier. La discipline militaire que seul un tel homme pouvait instaurer contribuerait grandement à modérer la défiance d'Araminta. Lorsque le colonel Federan ordonna à Araminta d'écarter les fesses pour l'insertion vigoureuse de l'énorme sexe indiqué en rouge dans le dossier de l'officier, sa manière particulière de guerrier de l'utiliser lui servirait de leçon irremplaçable.

Le sens financier irréprochable de Nebor Masdin, le blond aux cheveux blonds, lorsque Greven décida de le déployer et de lui confier la Terrienne pour une séance, signifiait qu'il ne tolérait aucune bêtise – surtout en matière de résultats financiers , car son dossier indiquait au maître spécial qu'il aimait utiliser sa ceinture sur les fesses nues de ses acquisitions. Ged, violoncelliste principal de l'Orchestre Symphonique de Draco, pouvait paraître à Araminta, au premier abord, un choix étrange de discipline, avec ses cheveux noirs et ses yeux bleus perçants et sensibles.

Les propres talents de Greven, à la peau et aux yeux sombres, comme professeur de formation – autant maître d'école que professeur, dans le système éducatif unique de Draco, où les jeunes femmes de plus de dix-huit ans se penchaient souvent sur leurs bureaux pour la correction désuète d'une canne en rotin – guériraient Araminta de ses prétentions à la supériorité intellectuelle terrestre. Le colonel Federan lui sourit en retour avec cette hostilité que seul un militaire peut traduire par un sourire. « Ce sera un mois amusant, n'est-ce pas, professeur ? » Si le sourire contenait de l'hostilité, le mot « professeur » transpirait un dédain qui rendait l'hostilité presque insupportable.

Nebor Masdin prit la parole. « Oui, mais ça va me coûter une fortune. Enfin, j'aime bien baiser les jolies jeunes Terriennes qui ont autant besoin d'apprendre leurs leçons que n'importe qui… » Il jeta un coup d'œil autour de la table et laissa échapper un petit rire qui dépassait légèrement le niveau de respect requis lorsqu'un capitaine d'industrie tentait une plaisanterie subtile. L'air un peu vexé que son humour n'ait pas eu le même effet ici qu'il aurait pu avoir lors d'une réunion des chefs de service de son consortium minier de gravitium, il poursuivit : « Mais l' exigence de bénévolat de la Loi fondamentale est devenue un peu contraignante dans ce cas, n'est-ce pas ? »

Greven hocha la tête. « Je ne peux pas le nier. N'oubliez pas que ce n'est pas à temps plein, et nous serons tous récompensés pour tout le temps que nous avons consacré à cette affaire. Si cela prend autant d'heures que l'algorithme le prévoit, cela signifie qu'il faudra plusieurs années avant que nous devions purger une nouvelle peine. »

Cela a valu à Red un commentaire sarcastique. « Je suis désolé que vous, les gens de la haute société, ne gagniez pas autant que vous dans vos emplois, mais ça ne me dérange pas d'être mieux payé que dans le mien, quand je peux encore travailler en dehors des heures de bureau. »

Ged, le Victorien, hocha la tête. « C'est exactement ce que nous devons enseigner à Araminta aussi. Les Terriens n'ont aucun sens de la vie communautaire ni de la contribution universelle. Nous, les Draconiens, pourrions nous plaindre de la façon dont la Loi Fondamentale l'applique, mais… » Le violoncelliste regarda les autres maîtres. « Je ne dois pas être le seul ici à penser qu'il est de son devoir de rendre la pareille à Draco. »

Greven dut retenir son sourire moqueur, car Victorien pouvait parfois se montrer moralisateur, et cela irritait un professeur de psychologie presque autant que l'arrogance du colonel Federan. Il hocha la tête. « En effet. Et bien sûr, cette mission sera bien plus agréable que, par exemple, patrouiller aux lisières de la forêt. »

Nebor hocha la tête, l'air un peu apaisé. « Vous ne m'entendrez jamais refuser un gangbang, professeur. »

Le colonel Federan renifla, une expression d'impatience traversant son visage sombre. « On peut passer à l'évaluation ? »

Des coutumes s'étaient développées autour de ces détails de la Loi Fondamentale, l'une d'elles voulant que le maître spécial chargé des affaires judiciaires d'arrivée utilise toujours la copie papier du dossier, comme ses lointains ancêtres l'auraient fait des milliers d'années auparavant. Cela a toujours rempli Greven d'un certain sentiment de respect, tout en le mettant dans ce qu'il considérait comme le bon état d'esprit : il dirigerait désormais la maîtrise d'Araminta Lourcy comme les hommes à travers les âges avaient veillé à ce que les jeunes femmes apprennent les leçons de la soumission à l'autorité appropriée.

« Comme vous le verrez », commença Greven, « Araminta Lourcy a subi la batterie de tests standard sur Terre. Le sujet manifeste une aversion pour la discipline familiale publique d'un degré jamais observé auparavant dans aucune arrivée sur Terre. Il est recommandé de recourir régulièrement à des fessées publiques et à d'autres techniques disciplinaires humiliantes, y compris, comme autorisé dans les zones réservées aux adultes, la nudité en public et les services sexuels.

Le sujet a de grandes chances de réussir en tant que citoyen draconien naturalisé. Sa soumission aux normes draconiennes la rendra heureuse et procurera à ses partenaires sexuels draconiens natifs le plaisir auquel ils ont droit.

Red vous apprendra le respect du travail honnête. M. Masdin traitera du pouvoir de l'argent et de la finance, et de votre fierté pour l'ancienne prospérité économique de la Terre. M. Ged vous enseignera les beautés de l'art draconien pour lesquelles vous avez affiché un tel dédain dans votre évaluation. 

« Je vais vous enseigner la valeur de la véritable discipline », dit le colonel Federan. « Dans les forces armées draconiennes, nous savons punir la désobéissance pour instaurer l'esprit de corps . C'est ainsi que nous avons vaincu votre planète égalitaire pendant la guerre – si tant est qu'on puisse appeler ça ainsi. »

Araminta regarda le professeur, espérant un adoucissement de la terreur que le colonel lui avait transmise, mais elle ne trouva que le visage d'un professeur sévère.

« Et je veillerai à ce que tu comprennes combien tu as besoin de cette discipline, à cause des désirs sexuels que tu as cachés, même à toi-même. Red aurait souhaité que le professeur le laisse retirer le soutien-gorge et la culotte de la jeune fille. Il n'avait pas de raison particulière pour ce souhait – aucune que le professeur Nesterius apprécierait, en tout cas – mais en même temps, il ne trouvait pas cette idée égoïste de sa part : Red avait le pressentiment profond qu'Araminta avait besoin qu'un homme comme Red lui retire ses sous-vêtements, pour son bien.

Comme les autres hommes présents, Red Strekin avait déjà servi comme maître spécial et co-maître pour plusieurs arrivées au cours des trois dernières années du programme d'arrivée sur Terre. Il tirait une certaine fierté de son statut d'ouvrier, alors que la plupart de ses collègues du programme étaient des professionnels, et de l'instinct qu'il semblait posséder plus que la plupart pour ce qui aiderait le plus les filles qu'il naturalisait.

Quelque chose dans la silhouette imposante de Red et sa voix grave semblait avoir un effet puissant sur les jeunes Terriennes ; d'ailleurs, à en juger par les réactions d'Araminta jusqu'à présent, elle était déjà profondément sous le charme. Associé à sa capacité à deviner sans réfléchir comment humilier une fille, que ce soit en la touchant d'une certaine manière, en lui faisant dire une chose particulière ou en lui enlevant ses sous-vêtements, l'impact naturel de son apparence physique lui avait valu les éloges des administrateurs à maintes reprises.

Mais il semblait que ni Red ni le professeur n'obtiendraient ce plaisir particulier, car Araminta balbutia : « Je-je... Je vais le faire ! »

Elle tendit le cou pour tenter d'apercevoir Red, un geste qui plut beaucoup au grand homme. Il lui serra doucement les épaules et esquissa un sourire qui, il le savait, fonctionnerait aussi bien en ce moment qu'une bonne fille plus tard. Araminta ne saurait pas pourquoi ce sourire la rendait plus docile à cet instant, et cela la troublerait presque certainement – ​​mais ce trouble représentait précisément ce que Red et les autres maîtres voulaient qu'elle ressente : le début de l'obéissance et le début de la fin de l'orgueil.

Red regarda le professeur, et Greven Nesterius hocha son menton barbu à l'air sage. L'ouvrier appréciait l'homme à la peau sombre, tout comme tous les hommes autour de la table. Red ouvrit la bouche pour confirmer qu'il avait lui aussi besoin d'elle nue, mais le colonel Federan dit, depuis sa place à la table : « Vas-y, ma fille. On veut te voir. »

Red observa Araminta se concentrer sur l'homme en uniforme rouge d'officier et vit son visage passer de la douceur qu'elle avait tentée avec lui à une inquiétude écarquillée. À cet instant, tandis que ses yeux s'arrondissaient, il commença à tomber amoureux d'elle, et comprit qu'il ne pouvait rien faire pour l'en empêcher.

Quelque chose dans la façon dont la jeune fille avait manifesté sa peur de l'autre homme éveillait en elle l'instinct de prendre soin d'une gentille fille qui avait besoin de discipline : pour s'assurer qu'elle apprenne sa leçon, mais aussi pour la protéger de quiconque pourrait vouloir lui imposer une volonté égoïste et indifférente. Il aurait beaucoup de mal, il le savait, à faire d'Araminta sa fille, mais Red savait qu'il devait essayer.

I'm really conflicted about this book... 1 its not really a reverse harem book... reverse harems are a #whychoose book meaning that the h doesn't have to choose and ends up with all the men in the book.. in this books she ends up with only 1 of them.

2 I have no problems reading non/dub con books. I usually enjoy them... but this book while the things the h went thru were definitely things she was unwilling to go thru even though she did enjoy it making it dub con...

I felt that the premise of the book was all wrong. 1 she is volunteering to go to this new planet and start her life over even if she did think that as an Earther she was better then the people who lived on this new planet. 2 Because she felt this way they had to punish her for it using sexual situations to do so. 3 from the book it seems like this only happens with the women because they have labeled it "shaming the girl"

which I don't agree with at all! yes I understand that they performed all the text and discovered that she was a sexual submissive which as a 18 yr old virgin she would have no clue about in the strict way she was raised. I can see them wanting to open her eyes up about it for her truly to be happy on her new planet as they claim... but I don't agree at all with them trying to shame her about her ignorance of what turns her on and then forcing her to do all the things that turn her on and calling it a punishment and shaming her about it to break her... I really don't agree with this at all.

I think if the author had just put a little more thought into it and reworded some things it would have been better instead of making readers angry... because really I found myself getting very angry at reading this book.

I like strong female characters, she isn't one. I usually love reverse harem books but that seems like a false category for this book. This whole book just come easy across as if the males are breaking her to remake her in a way they see fit. It made me angry to read this. I don't know what that says about me but I just didn't even like it a little bit. She's just used and all of it against her will. She isn't submitting freely like in a usual BDSM book.

Well, I am not sure this book qualify as Reverse Harem Romance, as the main character has only one love interest, the other three are just hear for a "job". The story was okay, not a big fan of the plot and I've read better from the genre, hence my rating.

Came across this in a bundle and read it because I enjoy reverse harem romance / erotica.

Unfortunately, this is miscategorized. It's most definitely not a reverse harem -- the F doesn't get to choose the men she gets involved with / has sex with, nor do they choose her. They are picked by some committee in order to train her for a short period of time, and she doesn't develop romantic feelings for them all, only for one, with whom she ends up in a couple (though I expect he lends her out to friends, or strangers as the case may be, re that humiliation thing they've got going on).

Besides that, while I can handle some BDSM, certain types of female submission make me cringe, and humiliation beyond maybe a little mutual dirty talk is a definite turn-off for me, so erotically this wasn't good for me. The whole thing basically starts as complete noncon BDSM, but it's thinly veiled as dubcon where the F learns to love everything they do to her even though it all embarrasses her -- that makes my eyes roll at high speeds, but I'm not qualified to determine how good it would be for somebody whose kinks these are.

One positive aspect was the F main character. She actually managed to find some inner strength to "win" over her training, at least internally, hiding that from all but one of her trainers and the committee. I enjoyed that part; she ended up sorta kinda pulling the wool over the eyes of the system. Even though in practice that didn't change anything about her place in society, since her "master" actually was conscious of it and helped her pass anyway instead of breaking her, that was the single ray of light in the whole thing.

Storywise this wasn't particularly captivating, the world-building was basic, and everything seemed to be geared towards a world that featured female submission explicitly, not even the smallest sign of male submission (or of anything else) -- that's what I found particularly cringey. This basically felt put together solely to give readers maximum female submission smut with minimum plot -- the entire planet seems to have an inferiority complex about Earth even though they beat them in a war, and to deal with it they turn uppity Earth women into submissives -- alrighty then. I don't have an issue with minimal plots in principle, but since I was looking for reverse harem romance with erotic elements, a decent plot could have saved this, but as it stands it just didn't do a thing for me.

As regards the writing, I've seen much worse, and it's always nice to come across decently written smut.

Emily Tilton does it again. She writes sexy, sexy stories in a very frank way using language that would otherwise not be all that sexy and be way more clinical than you would expect, but it manages to be really sexy as the characters are using the language as dirty talk. It's kind of wild, but it works really, really well.

Along with her normal theme of erotic shame, she also introduces a kind of pride and triumph in Araminta, which isn't something that we often see, but it's a submissive kind of pride, a pride in her body and her skills to make men happy. It's a really interesting theme, and one I really liked seeing.

I really love reading Emily Tilton's books and her stories are very interesting, not just because she gets into all the sexy kinkery, but also because there are actual reasons why certain things are being down in her books. Araminta is being mastered and shamed because Draco beat Earth and she's coming as more or less a refugee, and she has to feel this shame so that she learns how to be a real citizen of this world. There are just a lot of things that go into making up Tilton's worlds. Simply fascinating.

This book is brutal. If you have triggers, this isn’t the book for you. Everything you can imagine about sexual humiliation, happens in this book. Fair warning!

Warriors from the planet Dragorian have accepted some earthlings to become citizens , after overtaking the planet,but only if they can pass a severe test. Araminta doesn’t have one mentor, she has five. They use her, abuse her and humiliate her in order to permanently remove her lofty self image. If she doesn’t pass the test she will be shipped back to Earth in shame.
This is a gritty, dark book. It’s surprising in some places, horrifying in others. It gives “knocking her down a few pegs” a whole new meaning.

They humiliate her, they use her, abuse her and do whatever they feel like doing to make her feel utterly low. All in the quest of breaking her. Does it happen? Will Araminta do what they want of her or will she get her 5 masters to care?

The heroine is a virginal 18 year old. I guess the year between 18 and 19 must be really special in accelerated maturation to find the events happening to her as acceptable on Draco.
Just because she was born into and raised by nobility on Earth. I’d guess a substantial portion of her superiority and arrogance was due to her ignorance and lack of experience.

Given how this planet shields anyone under 18 from nudity and sex, I think raping, sexually humiliating and abusing a teenager under 18 must be a crime.

Dear author,

If the events of the book took place before the heroine turned 18, how many rapists, pimps and abusers would be prosecuted and convicted on Draco?

They are going to change that. The powers that be seem to think she is cut out to be a sex bot! She has five masters to break her! Will they? You'll have to read if you want to find out. There is plenty of male domination in this book, and making Araminta do things that will embarrass and "shame" her. If this is not your cup of tea, take a pass.

If you are not into BDSM then this book isn't for you, so don't read it. This is a different take on reverse harem. The storyline is good and interesting. The scenes are described in a way that you can picture it in your head. The characters are likable for the most part. Five men training one woman to be theirs. The story doesn't take place on Earth but on a different planet with different society rules makes it interesting. I would recommend this book.

Loved this futuristic tale!!

Araminta wants to become a Draconian citizen, but she is very prideful and considers herself above most people considering she is a Duchess back on Earth. She will find out fast and with the dominant instructions of five males, that pride has no place in a Draconian woman. This is a sexy, steamy read full of acts of submission that will leave you panting for more. Wonderful read and I highly recommend it!

If you have read any of Emily Tilton's books then you will know what to expect from this one. If you haven't read any of her books then you need to rectify that mistake and pick this one up. It is not a long read, l read it in an afternoon, and it is quick to jump into the action. It is full of BDSM elements, from non-consent to public shaming (the title should give that fact away). It is super sexy, has a great cast of characters, and it has a happy ending. I highly recommend it.

I recommend this hot spicy sexy story. Not for the feint hearted.
I enjoyed reading this book. It's very well written and described. The characters are well done. But I found Araminta's feelings overly described. She needs to learn to live in Draco and respect the work of others. There are a lot of punishment spankings, hot spicy sexy scenes and humiliation. Definitely not for the feint hearted. But hot!! I liked the message behind the story. I recommend this hot spicy sexy book.
