Kristen grew up in Brownsburg, Indiana but has lived in Denver, Colorado and the West Country of England. Thus she has been blessed to have friends and family around the globe. Her posse is loopy (to say the least) but loopy is good when you want to write.
Kristen was raised in a house with a large and multi-generational family. They lived on a very small farm in a small town in the heartland and existed amongst the strains of Glenn Miller, The Everly Brothers, REO Speedwagon and Whitesnake (and the wardrobes that matched).
Needless to say, growing up in a house full of music, clothes and love was a good way to grow up.
And as she keeps growing up, it keeps getting better.

Please, for the love of god, someone, stab me in the head if I attempt to spend money on a KA book again. This was SO not worth the money I paid...
Vi and Joe -- 1 Star This was a complete waste of pages. I would have much rather read about Riker and his matchmaking kidnapping attempt.
Hap and Luci -- 1 Star I hated Hap; he was a pussy. I also hate "bro code" stories. On top of that, it was beyond boring.
Deacon and Cassidy -- 3 Stars. This one was cute, and the kidney and This Is Us argument made me laugh my butt off (lol).
Diesel, Maddox, and Molly -- 1 Star I didn't like this one at all. First, this story seemed WAY too complicated to be tackled in a short story. I couldn't stand Diesel. On top of that, it was also confusing, hard to follow, and boring as fuck. That said, the sex scenes were hot. Although, maybe if they had stopped having sex for five minutes they could have had a conversation thus ending the story and saving me from almost falling asleep.
NO RATING The next story was about some fairy or some shit like that. I think KA was on an acid trip when she wrote this one. I can't even be bothered to give it a rating.
Tod and Stevie -- Aww, maybe 2-Stars I mean it was sweet, for the whole two minutes it took for me to read it!

3.25 stars!
I am a huge KA fan, so when I saw we were getting a collection of shorts from her, I was thrilled! Overall, I liked this book. It could have been so much… more. The couples I was most excited about hardly got a snippet, and others got almost an entire story.
No Clue- I will always want more of JoeCal. That is my boy. This was waaayyyyy too short, but I still enjoyed seeing Joe and Vi again.
The Stars Aligned- It’s been so long since I read Heaven and Hell that it took me a minute to remember Hap and Luci and get into their story. Still, it was pretty good.
The Favor- This was one of my favorites. I loved Deacon and Cas and getting to see a little more of them down the line was awesome!

LOOSE ENDS is the first volume of a collection of short stories and novellas with which Kristen Ashley ties up, you guessed it, loose ends. Is this a must-read? Well. If you're a big fan, definitely.

A word about whether you can read these short stories and novellas as standalones: I didn't read Heaven and Hell (although it's sitting prettily on my Kindle - TIME!) and The Greatest Risk and I had mostly no problem understanding what I was reading. I wouldn't say the same about the shorties because they are basically extended epilogues - which is why I didn't read No Clue - I wanted to read AT PEACE via audiobook but didn't like the narrator so I'll read it the old fashioned way.
THE STARS ALIGNED - 4 Stars
I know some readers will be disappointed that Hap and Luci don't get a full novel but you know that this is Kristen Ashley and her novellas are the length of other author's full length books so let me tell you this is definitely a satisfying story.
Hap and Lucie were very sweet and while it took them some time to overcome obstacles and a little resistance from the outside I was happy with how this developed. I'm sure fans of Heaven and Hell who were waiting for Hap and Luci will be too!
MORE THAN EVERYTHING - 4 STARS
In More Than Everything we meet very unconventional lovers. Maddox and Diesel have been in a relationship for years and a couple of years ago Molly joined them. Along the way a rift opened between Maddox and Diesel which both of them don't know how to overcome. Both D and Mad are looking for solutions out of their funk but the problem is that it's not just a funk - it goes much much deeper.
I'm sure that people who read The Greatest Risk will have a much deeper experience than me because they know details which I don't. Although I haven't read the Honey series I enjoyed this story immensely. It's full of raw emotions and angst. It's also full of rough and kinky sex which I could take or leave but it did show the kind of relationship all the characters had - full of trust and love. I really loved the dynamic between Diesel and Maddox and Molly was an adorable character who helped the story move along. The length of this story notwithstanding (which is still 200+ pages) this novella has a deep and clear message about tolerance and how in the face of bigotry love always wins. I was wondering along the way whether Diesel's sister would get her own story because she was a pretty damn awesome character. To find out, you'll have to wait until you make it to the epilogue.
THE FAVOR contains some sweet and hot moments with Deacon and Cassie, a couple of years after DEACON ends. I love these little stories that let you catch up with your favorite characters and you definitely can with this shorty.
TELL ME WHAT YOU WANT is a bonus story that is so sweet and adorable I smiled all the way through it. It's really only a couple of pages long but it's delightful with its matchmaking fairies.
LOOSE ENDS is a lovely collection of stories that you definitely should have in your book collection. The bit-sized stories are short enough that you can squeeze them in between other books and will still leave you utterly satisfied. They are chock full with beautiful, heartfelt quotes, that are KA's signature and will touch you deep as always.

Well....the only story I really loved was "MORE THAN EVERYTHING" and I haven't even read that series. It was extremely HOT though and an MMF story which I happen to love !! There was a lot of sex in this story....a lot !!! There is also an extra awesome bonus in this story in the form of "Rebel", who we will get to see more of in the future ;)
I would give "More than Everything" 4,5 stars, but the rest... barely 3 stars.
I am going with 3-3,5 overall....I was so disappointed with Joe and Vi's story....

Not very exciting. The Vi and Cal story was really short and boring. I was never a fan of Deacon and Cassie but their story was also short and not very exciting. I skipped the MMF tale from the Honey Series as I don't read MM but that seems to be the longest story in the volume. I also skipped the Rock Chick short story. There is a cute fairy story but it's very short.
Basically the only story I wanted to read in this book was the long awaited Hap and Luci story from Heaven and Hell. I enjoyed this story and I really liked Luci because she's Italian and so didn't read like every other KA heroine. Hap was a nice guy. KA said she didn't want to give Luci anymore angst seeing as she lost her husband but I would have liked a bit of angst but instead it was a sweet, romantic story that brought a tear to my eye. 3.5 stars for this story (would have been more but parts were similar to other KA books) but only 2 overall for this volume.
I think KA could have chosen some better loose ends than these ones!

Loose Ends, Volume One is a novella featuring No Clue with Joe and Vi from At Peace of The Burg series. The Stars Aligned, featuring Hap and Luci from Heaven and Hell. The Favor featuring Deacon and Cassidy from the Unfinished Hero series. More Than Everything with Diesel, Maddox, and Molly from The Greatest Risk of the Honey series and a Rock Chick Renewal featuring Tod.
Overall, Kristen Ashley has always been one of my go-to authors and although I adore some of the characters featuring in this novella, I would have loved to have had more. Novellas are always a tricky thing because it is difficult to capture a complete story arc in such a short amount of text. Overall, KA fans will be happy to get more of their favorite characters. Even though this wasn't my fave, I will always remain loyal to KA and the characters she has created and certainly look forward to reading more!

2 1/2 "Disappointing" Stars.
Here are some notes I posted in my TPAM group about my thought on LOOSE ENDS.
The Stars Aligned
Ok, so I finally finished Hap and Luci. It ended up being ok for me. The second half was definitely better IMO, but overall I was disappointed. I just thought it would go a lot different. But alas (Josie!!!) I am not the author and she obviously wrote the story she wanted to write. I am happy they are happily happy ;-) I'd give it 2 1/2 stars rounded up to 3. Oh! It was nice to get a glimpse at Henry. (Josie's boss from THE WILL.)
Tell Me What You Want and Mr. and Mr.
I thought the fairy (short) story and Todd and Stevie's (short) story were both sweet and cute. I liked them, but like someone else said, they could have been put in a news letter. I'd give them both 3+ stars.

NO CLUE
Joe and Vi. They're older and still have got it going on. There is one moment that I LOL and when a name is mentioned, I fucking smiled HUGE. I seriously could read more of Joe and Vi and their family. I have a feeling we will be seeing more of them and hopefully soon. FOUR STARS
THE STARS ALIGNED Hap and Luce. One of the longer novellas which I immensely enjoyed. After Hap finally gets his act together, he and Luce have one beautiful, sexy and well deserved HEA. FOUR STARS
THE FAVOR Deacon and Cassidy. Story continues to see their children and how they keep each other happy. Sexy, of course, though I still would love a scene where Cassidy is pegging Deacon. Gotta love a man who likes up the bootay! FOUR STARS
MORE THAN EVERYTHING Diesel, Maddox and Molly. STOP THE MOTHERFUCKING PRESS CAUSE HOLY SHIT THIS NOVELLA WAS ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHIIIIIIIING!!!!!! If you've read The Honey Series then you know that this trio has it's complications(being Diesel making peace with not who he is(bi)but finally not giving a fuck who has a problem with him). The sex. THE SEX. There's a whole lotta fucking and it's one of the best m/m/f relationships that I've read. I will just state that I love a man who is not afraid of his own jizz. When all is said and done the epilogue ties it up beautifully AND we get to know some of Rebel who is Rush's(Chaos series)HEA.<---Not a spoiler cause if you follow all the things Kristen Ashley you should know by now. FIVE STARS
TELL ME WHAT YOU WANT A complete stand alone with no previous characters from prior KA books. The ultimate sweetness! FOUR STARS
ROCK CHICK RENEWAL Tod and Stevie. ALL THE FUCKING FEEEEELS. An absolute beautiful story that had me in tears. You'll see the Rock Chicks along with their Hot Bunch. This story packed a punch with all the colors there ever was.

I cannot believe I'm going to say this but... hmmmmm.... For once I regret buying a Kristen Ashley book. I did NOT see the point of this book.
Before you judge me.. I am a HUGE HUGE fan of KA's books but this was such of waste of money. For a second there... actually, no...a lot of times, as I was reading the book it came to a point where I even questioned whether I was actually reading a KRISTEN ASHLEY BOOK.
Loose Point was so disappointing
If you can, skip this book. If you do use KU, and you must read each and every book written by KA... give it a try.
As for me, I'm going to pretend I never read this book.

My favourites were too short...
The problem with favourite authors writing short stories is that it's never enough. In Loose Ends, the shorter stories were actually my favourites.
No Clue - I loved catching up with Joe, Vi and their loved ones but I hated how short it was. I listened with a big goofy smile on my face and I was so excited to be back in their world. I needed MORE!
The Stars Aligned - Unfortunately, Hap drove me BONKERS! I get it, she was a supermodel and she has money. But geez, Hap, you show such little faith in a 'friend' if you think she would be that shallow. And...only Luci can be the judge of whether she's ready to move on or not. NOT you or Sam...NUMBSKULLS! Glad they worked it out by the end and I loved the epilogue.
The Favor - Another excellent visit with friends that I absolutely LOVED. Deacon and Cas are so happy and content, it left me happy and content that they were doing their *happy ever after* in such an awesome way. Too short, I wanted MORE!
More Than Everything - I started this one but as I haven't gone past the first book in the series, didn't feel connected to the characters. The first chapter was pretty sexy, though.
Tell Me What You Want - I actually thought this one was really cute. The fairy part was OK but I would have LOVED more of the couple together. I needed MORE!
Rock Chick Renewal - Any revisit with the Rock Chicks is too short but this one was TOO BLOODY SHORT! I NEEDED MORE!
The narrators do an excellent job and it was good to hear familiar voices. In the end, I liked Loose Ends but my favourite ones were just too short. I just NEEDED MORE!

The Favor - Another excellent visit with friends that I absolutely LOVED. Deacon and Cas are so happy and content, it left me happy and content that they were doing their *happy ever after* in such an awesome way. Too short, I wanted MORE!
More Than Everything - I started this one but as I haven't gone past the first book in the series, didn't feel connected to the characters. The first chapter was pretty sexy, though.
Tell Me What You Want - I actually thought this one was really cute. The fairy part was OK but I would have LOVED more of the couple together. I needed MORE!
Rock Chick Renewal - Any revisit with the Rock Chicks is too short but this one was TOO BLOODY SHORT! I NEEDED MORE!
The narrators do an excellent job and it was good to hear familiar voices. In the end, I liked Loose Ends but my favourite ones were just too short. I just NEEDED MORE!

We have a short visit with one of my all-time FAVORITE KA couples, Joe and Vi from At Peace. I will never tire of reading about them and this sweet, romantic story will thrill fans of The Burg series. Another reason I love Kristen Ashley? Older couples still have all the passion and fire of her younger couples. Y A Y for older married couples!!
The next novella is about Hap and Luce an honestly this could have been its own book. KA must have SO many stories rattling around in her vivid imagination and I am so glad she put this one on paper! This is a very poignant story that is pure KA.

Be aware that this is a m/m/f relationship so if that is not your jam, then you probably won't love this one.

As a huge KA fan I have to say I was disappointed. I know it was only novellas & tying up loose ends/short stories - as the title states but I just didn't love it. Felt the stories needed to be a little more. Some were shorter than an average KA Epilogue. I'm probably going to get slapped by the KA Zealots but that's okay. I will still one click whatever she writes but this one just didn't do it for me.

Hmmm….Anthologies are so hit and miss. This isn’t a bad book but some of the stuff if good and other stuff is just fluff that could have been a few short story for readers on a website.
No Clue - A very short look into what is happening in Joe and Vi’s life. Ryker shows up with a ridiculously crazy plan to kidnap a girl so the guy who is into her can save her and win her heart. I was all ready to go on this fun adventure with Ryker, Joe and Vi but then it is over right after a conversation. Insert *sad face* here.
Sure I liked seeing Joe and Vi but this was more like a teaser than a read story.
The Stars Aligned - Is a classis KA style novel. Hap is really into Lucy and they shared a very passionate kiss in Heaven and Hell, but since Lucy is the widow of Hap’s army mate, he has decided due to bro code not to go there. This is a decent story but it totally reminded me of a book in the Chaos series with a similar situation. Plus I think that Bro Code only goes so far, but I liked Lucy and Hap once he pulled his head out of his ass was pretty good. This story seems to take up a good portion of the Anthology.
The Favor - I liked this story the best just because Cassie and Deacon are so cute together and I totally loved seeing where they are years later with a couple of kids. The funny fight they had about giving each other an imaginary kidney and the show This is Us was fantastic too.

Rock Chick Renewal - Love Todd and it was great to see all the Rock Chicks again but much like No Clue I thought this should have been a freebee that the author throws up on a website. It is a very short story about Todd getting to be the blushing bride this time and the Rock chicks sending him off in style.

The Stars Aligned
This is Hap and Luci's story who we met in Heaven and Hell. Though it's a novella it told the story needed perfectly as we already had some of the background of this friend's to lovers story.Luci has recovered from the death of her husband and is ready to move on and she wants to do that with Hap. Hap threw every stumbling block he could find at this development from Gordo,to his criminal dad,his deadbeat mom and his past as a troubled youth. I found this frustrating and wanted to shake him many times but Luci,sweet Luci knew what she wanted and she held on. The beauty of KA is that even when that darn Alpha male frustrates you to no end he then turns around and delivers some moments that are definitely swoon worthy,Hap was no exception and when he pulled his head out of his ass it was a beautiful thing. I'm not a fan of dead exes in a story line because I wonder if the new h/H would be second best, although there is no doubt that Luci loved Gordo I never felt that Hap was second best,the heart in all it's beauty has the capacity to love more than once and that was shown here. Kia,Skip and Sam also pop in this one and we get a lovely epilogue with babies! So for Hap and Luci 3.5*

I did not read and more than likely will not read the Honey series as such I was unfamiliar with D,Maddox and Molly. While I generally have no problems with menage(only of they end in a triad) this one was just a little too......crude for me.I like my sexy times descriptive and raunchy but even for me cum running down a guy's leg from their activities was a bit much. As such I unfortunately, did not finish this one so no rating.

Just a sweet story of a matchmaking fairy with excellent ideas of what love is..... I'd actually like to read the story if the couple she set up,though we did get a few lines about their hea.

A first for Kristen Ashley, and hope for more to come in the future, this anthology is a wonderful treat for both long-time fans and new readers alike. Jam packed with so much goodness, Loose Ends was the perfect combination of short stories and longer length novellas that had me excited to revisit past loves as well as eager to experience the "happily-ever-afters" of some beloved secondary characters.
No Clue ~ 5 stars
Within the pages of one of the most epic and emotionally charged romances I've ever read, At Peace, lives an extraordinary hero named Anthony Joseph Callihan. My love for Joe, as well as his woman Violet, is immeasurable. So I was thrilled beyond belief to savor more from their world. Older, but no less growly, sexy and swoon-worthy, we see a glimpse into Joe's everyday life and his ornery, chaotic brood. Not to mention the zany, off-the-wall Ryker popped in to make an unforgettable appearance, and his hilarity had me in stitches. No Clue was a sweet little story that had me falling in love with the Callihans all over again.

The Stars Aligned was the heart and soul of this anthology for me. Since first reading Heaven and Hell, and with every re-read following, my longing for Hap and Luci's story intensified. After years of hoping and obsessing, my wish has finally come true. It was A-Freaking-Mazing and definitely worth the wait.
Years after tragically losing her husband, Travis, Luciana Gordon is ready to love again. So many obstacles lie in her way, but the biggest hurdle is the man she's falling for ~ George "Hap" Cunningham. Hap's not only her dear friend but also Travis' buddy. Luci has an incredible feat before her in convincing Hap to take a chance at a relationship. Ghosts from the past and pressure from others complicate their situation even further.
All this had my emotions in a whirlwind. However, I did not doubt for one moment that Ashley would get me through this intense story, as she is the queen of second chance romances. In the end, their journey was profoundly beautiful.
I loved Luci (pun intended) as her character oozed incredible strength. As I imagined, Hap was a tough nut to crack. His stubbornness in thwarting all of Luci's charms and denying his true feelings had me all edgy, but I understood his intentions. Hap loves Gordo, considers him a brother, and anything other than a friendship with his widow would be a betrayal. But Luci's determination and courage shines through as she guides them both beyond grief and mourning. And Hap...sigh...he was incredibly sexy, loving, and sweet. He proved to be the perfect hero totally devoted to Luci as he overcomes his struggles.
I adored seeing Sam, Kia, and all of the H&H gang, especially the gruff and grumpy Skip. He truly stepped up as the voice of reason when it came to Hap and Luci's relationship by making one heck of a heartfelt speech that was amazingly touching. Also excited to see a cameo from a character in the Magdalene series which I hope will one day have his own story. All in all, The Stars Aligned was everything I ever wished for when came to this couple.
The Favor ~ 4.5 Stars
It's back to cabin 11 with the overly sexy Deacon and his woman, Cassie from the Unfinished Heroes series. I loved catching up with this couple, seeing the family they built and the tender love they share.
More Than Everything ~ 3.5 Stars
Maddox, Diesel, and Molly who debuted in The Greatest Risk (Book 3 of the Honey Series) are an unconventional trio. In all honesty, MMF romances are not my usual cup of tea, but these characters and their dynamic relationship had a way of easily earning my affections. Super kinky, all together or paired off, they were hot. However, there were times I did feel pushed out of my comfort zone. Regardless, I enjoyed this threesome as they dealt with all of their struggles. The love and support Mad, D and Mol shared were sincere, as each worked hard towards the happily ever after they most certainly deserved. A huge bonus with this novella was meeting Rebel ~ Diesel's sister and Rush's (Chaos) love interest. I LOVE IT when KA weaves in characters from different series!
Tell Me What You Want ~ 4.5 stars
A fantastical standalone so cute and sugary sweet that I truly enjoyed. I would love to see more of this couples' story.
Rock Chick Renewal ~ 5 Stars
What a wonderful short story! The dedication alone had me all sniffling and misty-eyed. Revisiting all the Rock Chicks and their Hot Bunch men was like coming home from a long journey. It had me seriously craving for a series re-read. This time, it's all about Tod and Stevie, and I relished spending time with them. A feel-good story that left me overjoyed and smiling.

The Stars Aligned short sequel for Heaven and Hell You probably wouldn't like this one if you haven't read that book and loved it. I did both of those things and still struggled because my issue with short novellas when I want the whole shabang is still strong and maybe if this happened long time a go I would love it more. I'm sensing Henry from the Will who is here secondary character will get his own well deserved HEA. ***stars

I love epilogues. I used to love Kristen Ashley. Now I realize that I only love epilogues when the story calls for it. If the couple already got a satisfying HEA, then please don't drag out their story with unnecessary scenes. Glad I got this from the library instead of buying it.

Loose Ends by Kristen Ashley
A collection of Short Stories and Novellas tying Up Some LOOSE ENDS
If you’ve been following Ana’s Attic for any length of time you know of my pure adoration for anything Kristen Ashley, so I can’t tell you how excited I have been for Loose Ends ! I need to start by saying I can’t stand anthologies for the most part. I have to know how much is left in the stories I am reading and in an anthology, you don’t really know that, but this is Kristen Ashley, and anything she writes, I will read, and I sure hope she does more of these!
There were 6 stories. and two of them could have easily stood as their own books if it were any other author. This is a long book (I think, you can’t tell!), and I admit, it did drive me a little crazy to not know the length of each story as I read it. But it never detracted from the stories for me.
NO CLUE (Short Story)
A sweet visit with Joe and Vi from At Peace one of my favorite all-time book couples! They have a house full of kids and a visit from crazy Ryker. This one was funny, sweet and sexy, and I wish there was more, but it was an adorable little drop-in epilogue.

This is the one I waited for! Hap and Luci’s story from Heaven and Hell. I reread Heaven and Hell a few weeks ago so it was fresh in my mind, but this can probably stand alone. In the time since, Luci and Hap developed feelings for each other.

When we last left Luci, she was in a bad place, made even worse by being in love with a man who can’t love her back because of a bro code. But Hap did love her, he just doubted he was good enough for the sophisticated yet down-to-earth supermodel. I loved Luci in Heaven and Hell, and I loved her even more in this novella.
“There aren’t rooms that people fill or pieces you give away. If you love someone with all of your heart, you just do. But you can love many with all your heart. Like I love my father. And Sam. And Kia. And my friend Massimo. And Celeste.” She slid her hand up his chest to the bottom of his throat and pressed lightly. “Like I love Travis. And like I love you.”
Told in mostly 3rd POV (as are all the stories in this anthology), I would have loved to have seen Luci’s POV but it was the same POV as Heaven and Hell, where the only first-person part was Kia’s.
“You’re my religion.” Luci closed her eyes. Yes. She’d been right. She’d just been worshiped.
I loved Pearl, the Jewish grandma, and really loved the visit with Henry Gagnon from The Will. He was in love with Josephine but never made the move until was too late. I so hope his story is in the next Loose Ends.
I love you, Happy.”
“Not as much as I love you.”
“I have a feeling I love you more.”
Hap looked deep into her eyes and stated, “Luciana, that would be impossible.”

THE FAVOR (Short Story)
This was a cute and sweet epilogue-type of visit with Deacon and Cassidy and their family. There were some giggle-worthy moments and I loved the sweet slice-of-life visit.

MORE THAN EVERYTHING (Novella)
We met the threesome of Diesel, Maddox and Molly in The Greatest Risk. They are a m-m-f threesome but Diesel is having a hard time coming out to the world as bi and It’s causing all kinds of angst in the relationship.
“Took a lot of ass, took a lot of cock, it’s still only you and it’ll only ever be you.”
This was a beautiful story about overcoming prejudice but be warned: there is a LOT of sex, most of it of the kinky and rough m-m variety. I loved all three guys and Maddox’s family. Diesel’s sister was awesome, and we will be getting her story soon, you’ll just have to read this to figure out what I mean.
“There will always be people in our lives who don’t get us, what we have, and they never will. If you told me this was what I’d have, what I’d want, what I’d work to keep strong and good and happy, what I’d cherish, just three years ago, I would have told you you were crazy. What a mess, two men, one woman. How do you raise kids with that? How do you balance it out so there’s no jealousy? Where one doesn’t feel left out? How do you make love split into three and make it equal? And then we happened and we’re a miracle. We’re so beautiful, we’re a miracle. We’re everything. We have so much to give to each other, it spills over, so our children are going to be so lucky. Just like us. So . . . fucking . . . lucky.”
I’m not a huge m-m fan so I did think there was a little too much sex in this story (as hot as it was) but I expect that’s how it would be with two horny guys and a horny girl. I think because I don’t read a lot of m-m and this was 3rd person, I tended to feel like I wasn’t sure who’s head we were in at times whereas you recognize a woman’s vs. a man’s thoughts easier in a traditional story (this has also been my issue with other m-m books which is why I don't read them much). I still love the characters and the storyline so much, and fans of her Honey series, m-m romances and menage will really love this.

TELL ME WHAT YOU WANT (Very Short Story)
This was the shortest story in the book based on a writing prompt, and it wasn’t related to any other story Kristen Ashley has written. I so hope she expands this world into an entire series because I completely fell in love with the tiny, sparkly matchmaking fairies.

Get your tissues out, because if you are even a little sappy, you’ll be crying at the sweetness while throwing colorful confetti! I completely fell in love with this little Rock Chick visit. I wish it was longer!

The Down & Dirty:
I absolutely love this idea! While I am not an anthology lover because I like to know how much is left in each story, it’s my most-loved author and some of my favorite characters. The books I normally love most from Kristen Ashley are first-person and all the stories in this anthology are third-person, so I will say, I had a little trouble connecting as much as I usually do, but even 3rd person from KA is better than almost anything else. I still enjoyed every single word of this anthology and wouldn't have missed it for the world.

Loose Ends! This book left me at loose ends pun intended ha-ha because unfortunately where Kristen Ashley books are concerned I am super greedy and always want more! This book is a wonderful series of visits to many characters we have come to know and love from her various works. Some characters which were not the focus in prior reads take on leading roles, and tie their own love stories in a beautiful bow. Other favorite treasures just show us more of their fabulous lives moving forward. This book also presents a perfect opportunity for a KA Virgin to take the plunge, after reading the wonderful teasing tidbits you will be making a visit to her backlist.
For those of you familiar with her many works, families etc. Get ready to visit with some favorites from The Burg, Heaven and Hell, Rock Chick badass land, The Honey Series and, The Unfinished Heroes. I look forward too many more releases such as this which has reignited all the wonderment I experienced amongst these characters the first time around. That wonderment to me is priceless and something I can always rely on with a Kristen Ashley read. Now go read on get your KA fix or get ready to fall in love with a new to you author.

I only read the first 3 stories in this book. No Clue, The Stars Aligned, and The Favor. I didn't read the Honey series so I didn't read that story.
I really liked reading these Loose Ends and seeing the characters again. I am a huge fan of getting to check back in with characters I know and love. I think my favorite is The Favor but only because Deacon had me swooning so hard. Leave it to KA to remind me how unlucky I've been in love and to set such unrealistic expectations. Oh well, it's fun to day dream.

5 "He could hold her hand as long as he wanted." Stars
I wanted this book for Hap and Luci. It feels like we've waited a millennium for their story and I'm just so delighted with the way KA chose to tell it in this sweet novella. The Stars Aligned was the perfect story for them, the perfect length, the perfect feels. I'm just so very happy to have finally read it. Full of all the KA goodness you've come to expect. So worth it.
The short stories included in this first of KA anthologies were equally as wonderful. This author has characters that stick with you well past the end. I've read some of her stories three times over so it's awesome to see new stories and sides to her characters beyond the end of their full length books. I can't wait for more Loose Ends.

So. From the start. It’s pretty clear to us ( sadly former)KA fans by now, that she will throw anything out there now to make money. Since she writes full time she needs to throw a book at us at least every three months. She needs to support herself and apparently family members too. She also needs to keep herself in cocktails and her cat in food treats. So I get it. But going through your computer and just throwing a bunch of deleted scenes and epilogues in there along with a couple of thrown together filler stories is just insulting to the fans. I’ve given up on her new books and stopped reading them. I read this only because Rush from the Chaos series new girl was in this. So first up is Joe and Vi. Pointless story that ends on a cliff. So loose end this story was. Next up Hap and Luci.....meh meh meh. Next up Deacon and what’s her face. Reads like afterthought epilogue that it was. Next was the fuck fest from the Honey series. KA thinks she’s writing erotica here. This is not erotica. I’ve read good erotica. This is nasty porn that reads like a bad movie from skinamax in the 80’s. Unfortunately Rush’s heroine got tossed in here to try and get fans to read this godawful Honey series. Nice try KA. On to a little fairy story. A fairy goes to a Spice girls concert to matchmake. Yes you read that correctly. Hey..... this actually could have been cute....if KA didn’t write it. Next up is a Tod and Stevie deleted scene/epilogue that was disappointing to say the least. Followed by the first chapters of three wishes? Why? My final thought is the last Chaos book will suck. Bad. 🙄😭

As a huge Kristen Ashley fan, Loose Ends is my idea of heaven. Not only do we get follow up stories with some favorite couples, but we get brand new short stories too! And each story and novella included in the anthology is just as sweet, just as heartwarming, and just as swoon-worthy as the one before. Kristen Ashley writes epic epilogues that can evoke just as much emotions as entire books so it’s not surprising that her novellas and short stories are equally impactful.

Who doesn’t sign and swoon when thinking of Joe Callahan? I was positively giddy at the prospect of getting an update from one of my all-time favorite KA heroes and No Clue is a short and sweet glimpse into Joe and Vi’s daily life. With a special appearance from a kid-friendly, though still scarily intimidation Ryker, who provides a bit of comic relief and made me wish that he’d get his own book following his harebrained, yet well-intentioned schemes. Seeing Joe and Vi blissfully happy and tackling each challenge they face with grace and love warmed my heart and put a smile on my face.
About The Stars Aligned
The Stars Aligned is one of the reasons I was dying to get my hands on Loose Ends. After reading Heaven and Hell, I hoped there would be a follow-up story featuring Hap and Luci, so getting a novella dedicated to these characters is especially exciting. In Heaven and Hell, it was obvious something was brewing between Hap and Luci and, in The Stars Aligned, their budding attraction is confronted head-on. While the stubborn, former soldier is warring with his feelings for Luci and his loyalty to his deceased brother-in-arms, the fiery, passionate Italian widow is willing to fight for who and what she wants.
Despite its shorter length, this novella is such an intense, profound, well-rounded story, packing so much feeling and emotion within its pages. It’s wistful, romantic, heartbreakingly beautiful, and full of love and longing. This short story follows an adorable interaction between Deacon and his daughters, then a scorching hot romantic encounter with his wife. The Favor is brief but satisfying and I loved every second of it.

After meeting Diesel, Maddox, and Molly in The Greatest Risk, I knew we’d be seeing more of these characters at some point. The fact that Kristen Ashley had yet to tackle a ménage romance had me curious to see how a more unconventional relationship would unfold. So what do you need to know about More Than Everything? It’s S.T.E.A.M.Y. With a capital everything. Which, if you’ve read the Honey Series, is pretty much par for the course.
While Maddox and Diesel are planning for their future with Molly, Diesel’s fears about what his close-minded family would think about who he loves and how he chooses to live his life is impacting them from moving forward. Recognizing Diesel’s inner turmoil, Molly and Maddox set out to prove he’s worthy of their love. I’ll bet you there’s not one person who read the Rock Chick Series who didn’t fall head over heels in love with Tod. Indie’s fierce and fabulous neighbor who brought drama and flair to the estrogen-filled Rock Chick group is one of Kristen Ashley’s most memorable characters so, naturally, I was thrilled for him to finally get his own story. The man who revels in planning the weddings of his closest gal pals gets a perfectly lovely surprise that’ll have you oohing and aahing, and sniffling a time or two. Rock Chick Renewal is a nostalgic, delightfully fun story with whole appearances from several familiar faces. Mostly, it made me want to re-read the entire Rock Chick for the umpteenth time.

2.5 stars. I didn't have high expectations for this book. So luckily I did not mind too much that I didn't really enjoy it. A few of the stories were ok and a few were not good to me at all. There are 5 stories in this anthology. Here are my thoughts:
No Clue: Joe and Violet's story. This was very much one quick, slice of life scene. It was not bad but there wasn't much to it. 3 stars.
The Stars Aligned: Hap and Luci's story. This book is a spin-off from Heaven and Hell, which is one of my least favorite KA books. I didn't love Luci's character in that book either and that continued into this book. Luci is yet another of KA's new heroines. Rich, formal speaking, hard to identify with or for me to like. I didn't mind Hap, but didn't love him either. I didn't feel any chemistry between them. Still, the story was interesting and entertaining enough. I would give this story 3.25 stars.
The Favor: Deacon and Cassie's story. This was my favorite from the bunch. I love this couple. This was a good, quick story. 3.75 stars.
More Than Everything: Molly, Diesel and Maddox's MMF story. I actually thought I might skip the menage story because I didn't like the book I read from the Honey series. But my curiosity got the better of me because I really enjoy reading menage. This trio had the weirdest dynamic I have ever read. I don't know if the relationship dynamic is more odd to me because I did not read the last two books in Honey, so I don't know their full back story. The story is very focused on Maddox and Diesel's relationship issues. Molly is pretty much an afterthought. The guys call each other bro, brother, buddy, etc. None of those come off as romantic terms of endearment. The sex scenes are not sexy at all and frankly grossed me out a lot. The language and the coarseness ("the meat", "jack me", etc.) were huge turn offs. There was so much discussion about "fuck sessions" and descriptions of running come. All this trio did was talk about having sex, have sex, and eat. They did not do any normal relationship things. It did not feel like the trio were in one relationship with each other, more like three separate but not equal relationships. Honestly, this novella was terrible for me. It was like KA had never read a menage book before she wrote one. Then she decided to cram a novel length story into a novella. There was so much derision and angst between this group for a novella. I just did not enjoy it at all. 2 stars.
Tell Me What You Want: A short PNR story with new characters. This was a cute little story about a cupid-like fairy. I had just read a full-length book about another female cupid so this story just felt like a paler version of that. It was not fresh, but it was not bad. Maybe it is a sign of a new series to come. 3 stars.
Rock Chick Renewal: Todd and Stevie's story. I didn't really get the point of this story because Todd and Stevie had already had a commitment ceremony. So why the big proposal? This was not a bad story, but I didn't really see the point. 3 stars.

The book felt like it was kind of a waste of time and money. I just am not sure I can trust KA to write them stories that do them justice.

July 26, 2020dnf. My memory is too crap for these short stories - by the time I've remembered who everyone is, the story is over and it's flown right over my head. I struggled through the Joe story (although I couldn't remember his friend) and I had no clue who the characters in the second story were, despite having read Heaven and Hell at least twice. Ah well.

This is the first thing from KA that doesnt do it for me. The shorts were ok but more for the newsletter than a Book. The novella of hap and Lucy was too predictable and i didnt feel the KA connection with them. The honey novella i liked best.

It's best to read this after reading KA's previous work as these are follow on stories or about secondary characters.
Hap and Luci was the only one I was really interested in, it was good, characters introduced from the book Heaven and Hell.

Absolutely loved this!!! Really hope she does another one cause there are tons of characters I’d love to get even just a short story. *Cough* Lachlan and Emma *Cough*
