Chopper

Chopper has no interest being in a hospital even if he is injured. When the sassy Doctor comes in and begins to fix up his leg, he wants none of it. It doesn't get any better when he realize it is Ivy , the sister of a man he was with in the military. Call it an act of crazy, but Chopper decides Ivy is the woman for him. Will she be able to help him come to terms with the scars of the past?
I was not sure what to expect with Chopper's story and this was better than I could have imagined. I lvy is a hoot, I liked everything about her character and how she interacted with Chopper. Another great addition in this series.

I absolutely adore this book. It has a perfect blend of humor, sweetnes, sassiness, some heartbreak and healing.
I loved Ivy and Chopper. Ivy was a strong and beautiful character. And her collection... ROFL I can't even!
Chopper is a grumpy sexy biker with a demons haunting him. He broke my heart. And I was glad that he got his chance at happiness. Or more correctly he braved to open himself to a beautiful hope.

We all play the would have/should have/could have game, but throw in some PTSD and it's a whole other ball game. Chopper hates hospitals so it only makes sense that he falls for a doctor! Not just any doctor though, Ivy is a face from his past, a past he struggles with daily. Ivy has been dedicated to her job and is definitely a strong woman. I absolutely loved their first telephone call! Ivy is also a collector of....well you'll have to read the story to find that out.
When these two meet again there is immediate push/pull happening. Chopper makes a classic guy mistake and thinks he's ruined everything. But his brother has his back and someone knocks on his door.
Is there a future when you can't envision one? Can these two jump over the obstacles in their path? Or is a threat going to permanently separate our couple? Not if Chopper has anything to do with it. Another great addition to this series.

Another great read in the Broken Deeds series. This is the story of Chopper and Ivy. This one like all her other book drew me in from the first page until the very end. Chopper and Ivy knew each other as teens and Chopper served with her brother in the military. After an accident Chopper is taken to the hospital where he ends up with Ivy as his doctor. The last time they saw each other was 10 years ago. Chopper hate hospitals and with his PTSD he is a difficult patient. I loved Ivy, she doesn't take any of their crap and boy is she mouthy. Ivy has always had a crush on Chopper and after seeing him again it brings back all those feels. There are some issues that they need to work through and when they do they realize that they are better together than by themselves. Can't wait for more from this series.

I loved this book. Chopper and ivy were perfect for each other and I loved how they knew each other prior to actually getting together when they reunited. Chopper was a great blend of sweetness, humor, and really made you feel for what Chopper had gone through and same with Ivy. Ivy was a strong female which Chopper needed in his life. She did not back down even when Chopper was in a way trying to push her away. The best was when she went ahead and got her tattoo(if you have read the other books you know what I am talking about!!!). Now Chopper, he had gone through some hard and rough times not only his body but his heart/emotions as well. Esther did an amazing job showing the struggle that Chopper was going through internal. Chopper and Ivy were definitely made for each other especially with Ivy standing by her man and being there when he needed her the most!

What soothes a broken soul? your other half is what. Chopper and Ivy share a pass of young crush. When tragedy hits them both and all was lost. When they met again Chopper is fighting with his demons and Ivy is trying to hold on. Can Ivy help Chopper and be that soul that soothes his demons? You really need to check out the Broken Deeds MC and Areion Fury MC series. Esther is a amazing author.

I love Chopper and Ivy's story. It had all the feels I like in a book. Perfect addition to the Broken Deeds series. I wish I had just a little bit of Esther's talent. She is so amazing. I have yet to find a book of hers I don't like.

Awww! This book was all warm fuzzies with a side of steamy bits! Can't go wrong with that mix.
Chopper was a broken man inside and out.
Ivy was just the Dr to fix him! They had a past but not a true romantic connection yet it felt like a second chance story because the unspoken feelings were always there.

I was not prepared for how much I would end up loving these characters. For me, I was iffy about Chopper even all the way back to Dams and Nerd because he was a jerkish idiot. But when I got into his story and why he is the way he is, I fell in love with him.
Both Ivy and Chopper are such strong characters on their own. But then you add them together and a history that develops, you end up with a power couple. Both of them deal with a great deal in their everyday lives, things most people don't. It's how they deal with it and each other that makes them stronger.
There is one quote I love in the book most: "We’re far from perfect and maybe we never will be, but that’s okay. Nobody is perfect and we all have flaws and scars. It’s just what you’re willing to accept and work with. The love you build together can have cracks and yet be strong enough to mend and heal to grow stronger over time."
That right there? Is the EXACT reason why I have even MORE respect for Esther. She took something so raw and devastating real like PTSD and made it make sense to the outside world. I'm so thankful for the way she wrote their love story. It's a story of hope, grief, faith and rising above it all to find love. Another fantastic winner!

I have to say this again, I love this author's books. All her stories are so good and always gets right down the good stuff.
After an accident Chopper is taken to the hospital. Which is not a good thing for him, as he hates hospitals and he has PTSD which makes for a very difficult patient. This is where he sees Ivy. He and Ivy have a history, and the last time they saw each other was 10 years ago.
Ivy has always had a 'thing' for Chopper and now seeing him again this just brings up all her old feelings. But with Chopper's issues how will they be together. But maybe Ivy is exactly what he needs in his life. Someone who wont put up with his b/s and a strong women to always look out for him.

When I first started reading the Broken Deeds MC series I just knew in my heart that Chopper’s story was going to special. I must say that Ms. Schmidt did not disappoint me. This storyline is fast paced exciting, funny and sexy with an important issue as a backstory.
Chopper suffers from guilt and PTSD. He’s seen a lot, been through a lot, suffered severe injury and lost a close friend during his time as a Seal. Now he’s a part of the MC with several of his seal brothers. They are his lifeline, his brothers that keep him as sane as he can be. But he still struggles everyday. When he re-injures his leg and is taken to the hospital, a place that brings back terrible memories for him, Chopper is reconnected with Ivy. Ivy is the sister to the lost brother that causes a lot of Choppers guilt and anguish. Ivy is now a doctor, a strong woman and takes no crap from anyone. Especially Chopper, a guy who she has secretly lusted after for years (even though she hasn’t seen him since her brother died 10 years ago).
In a rash moment to protect her, Chopper claims Ivy. An action he didn’t think through, considering his emotional state, what could he possibly offer her. But could Ivy be the answer? Could this headstrong, independent woman who gives as good as she gets be just the spark that Chopper needs to get through his personal traumas? SIMPLY AN AMAZING BOOK, one you just wish didn’t end. 2 Thumbs up for this 5 star book in a 5 star series, all of which in my humble opinion are Must Reads.

Out of all of the books in this series to date, this has to be my favorite. Chopper's story is brilliantly written and will have your emotions running from high to low. Chopper, an ex Seal who is now a member of the Broken Deeds MC, along with other of his military brothers, suffers from PTSD, badly. His brothers know this, and have allowed him to deal with his issues his way, always having his back though. But when an injury lands him in the hospital, a place that brings a lot of his issues to the surface, his gruff and surly attitude comes out in full force. But Chopper doesn't count on the beautiful, smart and tough as nails, no crap taking, sharp tongued doctor that walks into his room. Ivy. Ivy has know and lusted after Chopper for years but hasn't seen him since her twin, Chopper's buddy died. His guilt over his friends death has eaten at him for all of those years and Ivy just may be the one to seal those wounds. But first, he has to do something about the danger that Ivy is currently in, and the first thing that comes to his mind and his mouth is to claim her. Yep, but now he has to figure out how to maneuver through this relationship. Their banter is epic. Her treasure chest is addicting..to chopper and hysterical to the reader!
This book is amazing! An absolute jewel just waiting to be discovered. I cannot recommend this book enough. Definitely my favorite of them all!

This is my first Esther Schmidt read and I liked it alot. From start to finish I read this in 3 sittings, so it was definitely a page turner. Chopper and Ivy having a past connection from teen years that was rekindled in adulthood was an aspect of the story that made their quick love connection completely believable, where in some books it destroys it by being too unrealistic. The fact that Ivy was a tattooed, green haired, beer drinking doctor was an awesome touch in my eyes too and her special box and Chopper's extensive fascination with it were hilarious tidbits. The book had some distracting editing issues like using a comma to denote interruptions in dialogue by other characters rather than an EM dash, which confused me because it made it seem like the end of the sentence was just unfinished or accidentally deleted in formatting, but the story held its own and I'll definitely keep reading Esther. Four stars for this quick and enjoyable MC read.

I love this series and I can’t say enough about it. They can be read as standalones but they are better read in order. Chopper is still dealing with the mental affects of what he saw and went through while he was in the military. Chopper winds up in the ER and it triggers something in him. Ivy has known Chopper for a long time. He was friends with her twin brother. Ivy is able to come him down and give him the help he needs. Seeing her again does something different to Chopper. Could she help him begin to get better and deal with the things he is dealing with? Ivy is such a fantastic character. She is strong, funny, and spunky. Chopper has been carrying so much guilt around. He feels like Ivy deserves someone better than him but he just can’t stay away. Their road isn’t an easy one but as long as they are there for each other they can get through it. I can’t wait for the next book in this series. I love Esther and all her books.

So..Chopper, who we all know (or we all should know)is the “tech geek” for Broken Deeds MC (although calling a biker a geek doesn’t compute), and after an accident, he is in the ER to be treated, and he’s close to a bad PTSD induced panic attack.....hospitals are a trigger for him...When the no-nonsense doctor comes in, a Chopper sees a blast from his past...♥️🌼🔥
Ivy is a doctor who has known Chopper most of her life and has always had a crush on him...so she’s got mixed feelings about seeing him, but she’s determined to treat him herself...and, truthfully, she’s been saving herself for him...so, it’s just a matter of time....♥️🌼🔥

Man did I love Chopper and Ivy's story. My heart broke for the guilt that Chopper carries and the demons he is fighting. He wants Ivy but the demons are keeping him from claiming her and finding happiness in his life. He is a grouchy, haunted man and it is going to take a strong woman in order to handle Chopper. Ivy is just what Chopper needs feisty, independent, loyal, yet sweet. She has crushed on him since she was younger and she finally has a chance but will she be able to help him battle his demons?
Esther has once again delivered another must read. Thins book is a quick read that you will absolutely fall in love with and be devouring every page. Although quick you will not feel like the story is lacking in any way.

Chopper
Ok the things I loved about this story. I loved we heard about Chopper's past and why he is the way he is. Enter Ivy the snarky smartmouth Dr. that is not afraid to speak her mind and makes Damn sure Chopper knows when she is pissed. I love how each of them heals each other with their love and ultimately their devotion.
Now for what I didn't like. I didn't like how short it was. There is so much potential with this story. It felt rushed to me and felt the stalker element could have made a bigger part. Other than that I loved it. Is it going to stop me from reading and buying more from this author HELL NO! I love her and think she is very talented and will continue to read her work.

Chopper struggles with the guilt he carries for not being there when his friend passed. Ivy has always struggled with only be related to as the little sister. Neither wants a relationship, but cannot help their attraction. Will Chopper take a chance at love? Will Ivy finally get the man she has dreamed of since she was 16?
I loved how this touched on Survivors Guilt and PTSD. While I acknowledge that Chopper made some stupid mistakes, you couldn't help but feel for him when his story was told. I loved how Ivy was this tough, take no shit woman and how she decided to take a chance to go after what she wanted. Great read!

Chopper is a short story that packs quite the punch. This book starts off with Chopper in the hospital but hating every minute of it. He is being loud and obnoxious and just wants to leave until a gorgeous green haired doctor walks in and suddenly he is not ready to leave. Ivy is a no nonsense woman who just wants to end her shift, but this overbearing biker is testing her limits.
Now because danger is hanging around her he refuses to leave her alone. But he is unsure how to be in a relationship, can Ivy be the one to make him change his ways?
I loved Ivy and how she was never scared to stand up to any of the guys. And Chopper is just an amazing addition to this series!

This is an amazing story about acceptance. Wether it be you accepting someone as now they are, or you putting yourself out there to be accepted. This is a story about love and letting the love of your life loving you even if you aren’t perfect.
Why did this grumpy man have to come into Ivy’s ER? Yes he was her twin’s friend, why can’t he leave me alone?

Esther has done it again and delivered a short and brilliant story that's mixed with the perfect blend of humour and passion mixed in with some heartbreak and healing. I loved every word and devoured it in my lunchbreak unable to put it down.
I loved Ivy she was sassy, strong, and the perfect match for Chopper. She is the soft to his grumpy hardness. She brings him back to life and gives him the chance of happiness. She calms his storm.
I love this series and can't wait to see what Esther brings us next

I liked this book, it was short but oh so sweet. I liked the way Chopper was both strong and slighly broken and I loved the was Ivy helped heal him a bit. I will say, I did not care for her at the beginning, but she quickly grew on me. I also felt that though this was a great story for Chopper, I was a bit let down by him. I have loved him in the other books in this series, but in this one he did seem to have the power over me he did before. Maybe that was just me getting to know him better and not knowing him based on his interactions with his brothers?! Don't know, but this was a great addition to this series.

This was a great story. I couldn't put it down. Ivy and Chopper were perfect together. Chopper needed someone like Ivy, she was strong and caring and knew how to handle him. Chopper had been through so much, it was heartbreaking. Ivy was the best person for him, she helped him heal as much as he could be. Ivy and Chopper were just made for each other. Their connection was strong and the chemistry was off the charts sexy. They made a great team.
This was a great book. I really enjoyed it. I recommend it.

I read this book in Help Our Heroes: A Military Charity Anthology, which I brought to show my support. I love all Esther E Schmidt books. We meet Chopper in Deeds Book one, where he messed up good. Now he’s grown into a good man an ex military he has demons and thinks he’s not good for anyone until he crosses paths with Ivy who he was friends with her twin brother. Can Ivy get Chopper to see they can be good together or will he keep thinking he to screwed up. This book is action packed, with fierce women alpha men and enough love and sex to keep you reading each page and then wanting more.

I love love love Ivy. She is so strong and sassy and is barely fazed..but when she sees her teenage crush she is certainly in for the shock of her life.
Chopper has change from the guy he was and won't allow anyone to get too close..but neither xan he let anyone else have Ivy.

Chopper is book #4.5 in the Broken Deeds MC. Another amazing book from an amazing author, Esther E. Schmidt. I have to say that I wasn't a big fan of this character because of his jerk attitude in the past books, but Esther you made me a Chopper Fan. I fell in love with him and Ivy story! Another great addition to this awesome series. A great read when you want something fast, hot and sexy with a lot of action, emotion, fascinating characters plus sexy bikers and sassy women and romance. What more do you want? After all is an MC book from Esther!!!
