Omegas of the Caribbean

The Omega and the Deep Blue Sea

Rate this book
Captain Blackwood never wanted a baby—but his hot omega stowaway is about to have one…so he’s trapped between the omega and the deep blue sea!

Lord Edward Smythe, the youngest son of the Earl of Northridge, is fleeing an arranged marriage to a young woman. Like most of the London aristocracy, his family finds their history of fertile omegas embarrassing. But Ned knows that the last thing he wants is marriage to a woman. So he stows away on The Felicity, a ship bound for the West Indies, where he plans to make his fortune.

For years, William Blackwood has captained The Neptune’s Jewel, plundering merchant ships foolish enough to cross paths with him and his crew of pirates. He’s crossed and re-crossed the Omega Triangle, watching as the omegas in his crew go into heat and fall pregnant to the alphas. But he’s always kept his distance. A pirate’s life is dangerous and difficult, and the last thing he needs is the responsibility of a mate and child.

Until his crew overtakes The Felicity and he takes Ned on board.

To William’s surprise, he realizes the poor boy doesn’t even know he’s an omega, much less what effect the Omega Triangle will have on him. Suddenly William discovers that he can’t resist the siren-call of Ned’s desire, even though he knows giving in to it will change his life forever.

When Ned realizes he’s pregnant, he’s furious and blames William. They must decide if their fledgling love can survive Ned’s pregnancy—and if they can stay together, at sea or on land.

The Omega & the Deep Blue Sea is a sweet M/M MPREG pirate romance with some spicy heat, adventure, a surprise baby, and a guaranteed HEA. It is part of the Omegas of the Caribbean collection and can be read as standalone.

Not my cup of tea

I've read this author's work before and I love reading pirate theme books so automatically put my hand up for this one but oddly enough this book just didn't do it for me. I felt that we needed more world building and to be shown scenarios being played out on the pages instead of off them as I felt a bit disconnected with the story and that I was missing things. All in all, this book just wasn't for me

Ned escapes his aristocratic home to avoid marriage to a woman he doesn't want. He wants a Lord, not a kady... even a life as a sailor instead of an aristocrat is worth running away than to force himself to accept his father's terms. When he ship gets overtaken by pirates, he meets William and falls under a spell of attraction, even if he doesn't act on it right away. William never wanted a family on a pirate ship, but after meeting Ned, the fates may have other plans. But will a curse end it all?

Sexy pirates and sweet babies. A quick but entertaining read. The two main characters are fun to read and the other pirates too.

I received this book as an advanced reader's copy and voluntarily am leaving my honest review and recommendation.

I thought the story had a nice steady pace to keep the story moving along nicely. Once you start reading you can’t put the book down until the end. Ned and William had chemistry. Love pirate type stories, and adding alpha’s and omega’s to them makes me want to read more of them. Will be stalking their book shelves for a long time.
Got arc book for an honest review.

Ned finds love with an alpha pirate, William, and I found it to be definitely charming. The pirate wasn't as ornery as your usual pirate. William was kind of like a Robin Hood of pirates. The characters were fascinating, and even though Jerimiah was the antagonist in the story, I definitely understood his plight. The plot moved at a steady pace so it never dragged for me. I found it to be mysteriously hot and quite enjoyable. =)

What a fun and entertaining story. I don't usually go for historical romance but this pirate/alpha/omega story was tons of fun. Well written with fully rounded characters and intriguing story line. Quirky and sexy with lots of steamy action.
An ARC was provided in exchange for an honest review.
