If you have you dreamed of owning a journaling Bible with a hand-painted cover like the beauties that you find on Instagram and you are partial to ultra-feminine designs, you are going to love the very pretty and very inspiring NIV Artisan Collection Bible in the Pink Floral Design from Zondervan!
This pretty-in-pink cover is bursting with flowers and the inspiring words of Psalm 46:5 on the front cover:
God is within her,
She will not fall.
The page edges feature pretty sparkling foil when closed, but when opened, a a hidden page design is revealed!
Inside, you'll find off-white paper with lined, wide margins for journaling, note-taking and artwork and the words of Jesus are offset in red. This provides you with the perfect backdrop to create your own custom Bible within!
I really love this Bible and the concept of the Artisan Collection Bible because it brings the beauty of a custom, hand-painted Bible to those of us who desire one at a fraction of the cost.
This Bible is great for both personal use and gift-giving. There are currently four covers to choose from in the collection so if this pretty, ultra feminine design isn't your cup of tea - you have three more designs to choose from!

Well, Harper Collins/Zondervan decided to release their own version of a hand-painted Bible. It’s not directly hand-painted. Meaning, an artist did not paint each Bible cover, but rather, the artist hand-painted the original design which was reproduced. This makes the product more affordable and well, more accessible to the public.

If you are looking for a new Bible with plenty of space to write in, I’ve got you covered!
We’re going to kick this review off with the cons first, simply because I don’t have any!
The only thing I would caution you to be aware of is that it’s hardcover cloth. So, if you’re someone who prefers the leathersoft look, this probably isn’t a good choice for you. Despite your exterior preference, I would argue the pros make this Bible worth considering!
The NIV Artisan Collection Bible is so beautifully unique. Here’s why:
It’s easy to read (9.9pt typeface).
The pages include wide, large margins for all you journalers, notetakers, and artists out there! I don’t know about you, but I love filling the pages of my Bible with the truths God is teaching me!
The pages are more almond in color than they are white and the words of Christ are in red.
There are two ribbon markers, one for the Old Testament and the other for the New.
The cover is printed, but it was hand painted by Artist Edna Marie Esparra, Founder of Everlasting Words Designs. I love the metallic “God is within her, she will not fall” declaration stamp on the front cover. Edna actually created four designs for this specific Bible and they are all equally beautiful.
The pages are gold gilded with a hint of the floral design when tilted at just the right angle. The design really speaks to the life God’s Word brings to His children!
Finally, I just really enjoy the NIV translation. Not only is it the most widely used English interpretation, but it also reads smoothly and easily.
The takeaway: I highly recommend this Bible- especially if you like to interact with the Word in tangible ways. You can find all four of the NIV Artisan Collection Bibles on the Zondervan website here and at a bookstore near you.

I needed an “adult” Bible, as I’d been using my Adventure Bible forever. This one is GORGEOUS. Margins are lined and great for journaling. Cover is stunning.
