Her Stranded Billionaire Mix-Up

Rate this book
A woman left at the altar, a billionaire who’s sworn off relationships, and a plane crash that traps them on a deserted island.

Just two months ago life was perfect for party planner Harley Wilson—marrying the love of her life and working with Houston’s most sought-after party planner. Now, she’s single, jobless, and desperate to return to her hometown and start her own business. Which is why it’s easy to make a split decision to accept a huge bonus—and travel to Jamaica—when the rich guy offers her the assistant’s position.

Since taking over the family business, Zachary Wolf has devoted himself and his money to helping people. When his assistant calls out sick at the last minute before a trip to Jamaica to drop off medical equipment, he puts out a call to a temp agency. He’s always used male assistants, but his sister is notorious for setting him up—so when a woman shows up instead, he is not surprised.

It’s not until they’re in the air they realize there’s been a terrible mix-up. They’re all set to go their separate ways once the plane sets down in Jamaica. But a hurricane changes everything and the plane goes down en route. To survive, they must now learn to rely on each other until they’re rescued.

Her Stranded Billionaire Mix-Up is the kind of adorable, PG-rated romance that should be made into a Hallmark movie. In this book, we find party planner Harley, struggling to find a job after being dumped by her fiancé and fired by her boss. When billionaire Zach mistakes her for his fill-in assistant, they end up on his plane to Jamaica together -- and then stranded on a desert island.

This book is adorable. It's fluffy cuteness to the max. It also contains a well-written romantic storyline with interesting characters (with realistic flaws and problems). Overall, it's quite a good book.

Two people who get connected due to miscommunication end up in a plane wreck and land on an unknown island.. just the 2 of them. This is the epitome of forced proximity. It is also very far-fetched BUT I loved it! LOL! Sometimes we need that over the top story that is like some crazy dream after a night of overindulgence. I am certain Harley and Zach would have never connected if they hadn't been forced together. It was sweet to watch their preconceived notions about each other get broken down as they worked together and cared for each other.

I absolutely love that Harley was the expert when it came to survival and that she taught Zachary. Don't get me wrong, I love a protective rescuer MMC, but Harley's strength made me want to fist pump and say "Yeah!"

Love this series!

Her Stranded Billionaire Mix-up (3 stars)

A cute book in a suspend-disbelief kind of way, but definitely escapist and fun!

The stranding on the deserted island is where the suspend disbelief happens. They don’t even ransack the wreckage for stuff to use or put up an SOS until they’d been there for multiple days. And they found his luggage, but didn’t ever change their clothes or share his toothbrush?

The rest of the book is a lot of fun! Feisty Harley rescues unconscious Zach from the sinking airplane and is the one who steps up and keeps them both alive, whereas Zach feels useless until she teaches him and he can pull his fair share. Then it’s his turn to save her. I like that they save each other.

Another reviewer said she was going to scream if they used the word “mean” another time. I agree, in part, but it also became their word to tease each other with, so it was kind of their ‘thing’ and I feel like that’s why they used it so much.

I do love how they take care of each other and all the amazing kisses they share.

All in all, a sweet story and good escapism.

Harley and Zach

Harley Wilson was engaged to a handsome billionaire and was the assistant to Houston's most elite party planner. Then the bottom fell out. She was left at the altar and fired from her job. Now, she'll take anything to make some money to move back to Lubbock.
Zach Wolf is a billionaire on a mission: he's taking some medical supplies to his friend in Jamaica. When a young lady comes to him while he's prepping his plane for take-off he believes she's the assistant he asked for to help him in Jamaica.
While flying to their destination they discover that there's been a mix-up and Harley isn't his assistant. But then the plane hits turbulence they crash land on an uninhabited island. Harley saves Zach from drowning and they settle in and wait to be rescued. Before that happens though, they both see major changes in their respective way of seeing the other.
Will Zach finally have found a woman worth having a relationship with and will Harley realize that not all billionaires are cut from the same cloth?

I loved reading this book!
It's a funny, flirtatious & touching story.
Zach is all about business. Proving
he's not like his father, wanting to do
good with their money. He is on his way
to a Jamaica to see his friend Matt,
bringing him medical supplies.
One problem, his assistant is sick.
Zach's sister Britney is making  arrangements for a temp.
Harley is down on her luck, financially.
After being betrayed by someone she thought loved her & had been fired from her job. Harley has been applying for many  jobs. When she arrives to her next
interview, Zach tells her to hurry up.
He lets her know they'll be gone a week.
Once aboard Zach's plane, they realizes
there's a mix-up. When Harley finds out who Zach is, she's not happy, especially since he's probably just like all the other rich rude snobs, she knows.
Zach & Harley decide to part ways when the plane lands, when an unforeseen accident occurs. I enjoyed this so much,
I could not put it down.
A MUST READ FOR EVERYONE!!!

Trope: stranded on an island

Slow burn level: no sex, 48% kiss while on the island

Heroine goes for a job interview and mistakenly ends up with a job with hero. He (hero) needs an assistant for a work trip to the Bahamas. Heroine is healing from being left at the alter but is distrustful of people with money right now. Hero doesn't do relationships because of his parents.

Island, close proximity, survival

The plot was okay, the characters lack depth to me. The heroine was too perfect of all things survival, the heroine was instantly angered and annoyed by hero, which felt like a switch to the friendly character we are shown. The hero doesn't have much of a personality, but thinks everything the heroine does is cute. Despite them crashing on a deserted island, they didn't seem affected by the trauma of it or spend time adjusting to their predicament much, they just jumped into fighting off attraction for each other.

Trigger Warnings: none

Stranded

Harley is unemployed and her rent is due. A few months ago, her groom was a no-show for their wedding. Soon after, her boss fired her without explanation. She's to the point of desperation when she's sent to interview for a temporary cleaning job. Zach has had his fill of people using him for his money. He's not too keen on his sister's attempts to set him up either. He's established a 'no relationships' rule and he intends to stick to it. A little mix-up at the airport results in Harley and Zach on a plane heading to Jamaica. A surprise tropical storm forces them to crash on an isolated island. She saves his life. He saves hers. Feelings are intense and questions arise as to whether they are real or a result of circumstances.

What a delightful story! Both Harley and Zach were feisty and fun characters. While both struggle with love, the author has used their history as a tool allowing both to slowly evolve. Instant sparks and easy banter is what made this an enjoyable read especially with how well thought the characters and storyline were.

I rarely have time to read lately so when I do - I'm grateful to find a like this ... where I can just let myself go and enjoy. This book won't have you overthinking it -it will just allow you to enjoy the ride. Isn't that the point of fiction - to paint a picture, deliver characters that touch you, and delight you at every turn?

This book does that.

Both have been taken advantage of so their hearts are guarded. A freak airplane crash leaves them stranded on an island. That is where the adventure begins. Pick this book for banter, family, mend broken hearts and how to be true to self.

This book annoyed me

The dialogue and relationship building seemed empty. They didnt talk about anything

The constant talk of tickling felt childish.

The female character Harley kept thinking about how the male character Zach must be feeling guilty or indebted to her because she saved his life and that seemed weird to me, I hadn't given it another thought

Harley felt a bit mary sue, like she was someone's idea of perfect but certainly not mine

also, Harley was angry at Zach a lot for no good reason. One rich guy dumped her in a mean way so she's gonna start verbal fights with every rich man she meets? why? that doesn't make sense

Zach and Harley's story is a fun read. After his father's death, Zach swore off relationships after witnessing his father treating his mother poorly. As a billionaire transporter of medical equipment, he was headed to Jamaica when his assistant called in sick. After losing her job, Harley was desperate for this job interview to go well. Her biggest worry was that it might be working for a pompous rich man and she wanted nothing to do with that after having been left alone at the altar. I love Harley's fiery spirit and no nonsense attitude. I love Zach's sweet, giving nature. Great characters.

Harley was thrilled to be getting married to Samuel...then the day of the wedding he left her a note at church saying they were not getting married! She had trouble finding a job and figured that Sam had blackballed her but no reason why! She got an interview for a cleaning job at the airport and when she arrived Zachary Wolf, a pilot, mistook her for the assistant he was hiring! Things go from bad to worse when in flight they encounter a bad storm and have to land on an island. Harley pulls Zach from the sinking plane and their life on the island begins. Their banter and lack of trust pulled me into their story and I could not wait to see how the story ends! Best book of the series!!!

A captivating action and drama packed packed story of loss and love with a happy ending. Scarred by his parent's marriage, billionaire Zach swears against marriage until coincidence strands him together with the heart broken and jobless Harley for ten days on a deserted island. As they work together to keep eachother alive, they learn to trust not only in each other but also in love.

A delightful story...
Harley and Zach were feisty and fun characters. While both struggle with love,
the author has used their history as a tool allowing both to slowly evolve.
Instant sparks and easy banter is what made this an enjoyable read.
Since they had to depend and trust on and in each other to survive, Zach more so than Harley,
if they wanted to survive.
difficult for me to warm up to the main characters—she was really mean and snarky to him, and he was a sulky/pouty rich boy—but the demands of their basic survival outweighed their immature antics, and the author had them growing up so to speak .. together because they each had their own baggage mentally to overcome. I liked that harley was the resourceful one ....who thanks to her up bringing is the one who saved them and helped Zack learn about ways of life and the possibility of thinking differently.

Ms.Livingston tells a solid story.

Yes, we start with a job interview mix-up and a plane crash.

I found it highly convenient that our heroine was well versed in survival skills. Though I did appreciate that the girl was given those skills over the guy for a nice twist up of traditional gender roles.

Both have reasons to keep their distance from the other. Too bad there's all this amazing chemistry in the way.

Don't think too much about the trauma bonding or tight timeline and enjoy the romance for what it is: clean and nicely told.

Sweet, contemporary romance

Romance, sweet, contemporary; series but stand alone read
A plane crash strands a couple who clearly have preconceived ideas about each other. The situation brings out the best in themselves as they struggle against nature and the elements to survive until they are rescued. Stripping away their differences helps them see what there is besides superficial things for them both. Lovely sweet fall, sweet romance.

Another great book in this series. I loved Harley and Zach! They both have strong character and truly care about others. The story was fun and unique with them being stranded on a deserted island, but it really allowed Zach and Harley to bond in a way that wouldn't have happened otherwise. It was perfect. I really enjoyed watching their relationship bloom.

The Cat That Walked by Himself

Zach doesn't do relationships. Never has. Never will. Not after seeing his parents' s thirty-year marriage go down in flames.
Then Harley comes along. He is going writing wring the neck of his sister Britney. Every time he asks her to find him a temporary assistant she tries to set him up.

Her Stranded Billionaire Mix-up

The story was sweet. After flying into a hurricane just forming, crashing and being stranded on an island, a sweet love develops. Once again the proof reading was a distraction. Words repeated. Thoughts tangled. If you can overlook this consistent problem, you'll have a good book to read.

Sweet Romance

There were plenty of steamy kisses, but it was still a very clean story. Zach and Harley crashed and survived due to Harley's grandma teaching Harley survival skills. I love how things turn out and I love Zach's family!

Good clean romance. She wasn't supposed to be on the plane, but she was. Now she is stranded on a deserted island. Good thing she leaned a few things from her grandma. Highly recommended.
