Coming face to face with his former best friend was bound to happen once he moved back to Rosewood Bay, but for Kyle, becoming her son’s new teacher is a painful reminder of what they never had. But this time around, Kyle is determined to change their ending. Prince Charming is determined to break down her walls.
Except that no happily-ever-after is won without a fight—and her ex-husband doesn’t like to lose.

It took a lot for Andi to get to where she is now, finally happy and living a good life with her son. She doesn't need much else and she's good with how her life is going now. But then childhood friend and man who's heart she once broke comes back to town and is now her son's new teacher. Kyle knew he would run into Andi now that he's back in the town he grew up in, but he wasn't expecting that chemistry to still be there between them and now his plan of just ignoring her is no longer an option.
I thought this was a really sweet story. It had that second-chance romance vibe but the fact that Kyle and Andi had a past wasn't made the focal point of their story, at least not for me. Instead it was their present that was focused on and we got to see them get to know each other all over again. There wasn't really any drama that got between them, which I thought was refreshing, but there was still some intrigue and angst thrown in.
Overall, this series has been a wonderful reading experience and I've liked each of the characters we got to meet throughout it. Dream can be read as a standalone with no problem but I still recommend reading the other books, in any order, since they've all been so great.
ARC kindly provided in exchange for an honest review.
This series has been full of sweetness. Pure sweetness. And after a few months of lows in my life, I needed some sweetness overload.
I enjoyed getting Andi’s story and watching her getting her second chance at love with her childhood best friend Kyle. She left her best friend, Kyle, senior year when she fell for the quarterback instead... not realizing her best friend was in love with her, Andi gave up her friendship because her abusive boyfriend Billy forced her to cut ties with Kyle out of jealousy. So what happens when years later, you’ve left your abusive husband and now Kyle is your sons 4th grade teacher? Can Kyle forgive you for walking away from friendship or will Andi not be able to break down her own protective walls she has in place?
If you have read this series, Rosewood Bay, you know how amazing and wonderful this group is. You get a little of everyone in this book but this can also be read as a stand-alone. I have thoroughly enjoyed this series!! Definitely one I recommend to you all. They are short and definitely sweet 💗
I was ecstatic when I found out that Andi would be getting a book as she really did deserve a happily ever after. But I kind of expected more of this book especially when all the other books were really good. I guess my expectations were just too high.
This is a story that has a bit of everything. Be it unrequited love, to the point of what if I hadn’t taken the path that I choose to friends becoming lovers.
I really liked Andi in all of the books she was in, so it is finally her time to fall in love. Andi is a strong heroine and has worked hard on her independence and her self esteem after what her ex husband did to her and her son. She is a fantastic mother and has always put her child’s needs in front of her own. She didn’t have much of a mother figure as she died of cancer and Andi felt alone in the world.
At the first sign of attention it was clear that it would make her feel special especially as a teenager when one is at an impressionable age. She was forced through pain, threats and fear to give up her life and only be there for her husband. Now two years later she is in a good place.
Kyle Davenport is a native Rosewood Bay and after his mother takes a fall he moves back. He is also the new school teacher. HE may be a good teacher but his inner thoughts about Andi makes him into a major arse. He is patronizing towards the heroine has a chip on his shoulder because she was mean to him to protect him. I mean for Christ sakes you were teenagers. You should have told Andi a long time ago what you felt for her.
Sex scene wise I skimmed. I’m just not in the mood at the moment.
I enjoy the author’s writing it captures you and is entertaining. Although everything is sometimes a bit too much rainbow and sparkles. But this plot kind of felt off. The ex comes back and threatens Andi that they had an agreement seven years ago and if she doesn’t stick to it then he won’t stick to his. A bit far fetched for my liking as I don’t get why he is so obsessive there is no reason given. He is delusional, so you’ll get no argument from me. It just annoyed me. I’d recommend the book as a filler or as a palette cleanser.
I was really excited when it was announced that Andi was getting her own book because after meeting her in Fearless, I thought if anyone deserved an HEA it was and Dream did not disappoint. It was quick, sweet and smexy read with a lot of heart and nice little dash of suspense tossed into the mix that kept me on my toes throughout the entire book.
I loved and admired Andi. She’s sweet, sassy and strong. She’s been through a lot, and though she still bears the scars from it all, she has picked herself up to make a better life for herself and her son. Kyle was a sweetheart. He’s got a laid back vibe going on that’s coupled with an alpha AF protective side that comes out when anyone he calls his own is in trouble.
Kyle and Andi’s journey to their HEA was one that I enjoyed because while it could have been a very angsty one, it wasn’t. This isn’t to say that it was an easy one, because it wasn’t, but they handled the issue between them well. There was a little push/pull going on, but in the end there was no doubt in my mind that they belonged together once everything was out in the open.
Dream was a fun, quick read and I enjoyed catching up with all the couples from the previous three books and finding out what they had going on. The bit of suspense tossed into the mix was well done and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by the entire situation, but loved how it all turned out. I do wish there had a been a bit more in the end about Kane and Andi’s dad, but that’s just me. So, if you’re looking for a quick read to escape into, then I’d give this one a go!
Note: This one can be read as a standalone, but I’d recommend starting at the beginning of the series if you are able to.

This series has been a real disappointment and this book is the most disappointing. I have never been a fan of the victim of domestic violence trope and this one is no different. Best part of this book - the steamy, hot sex scenes.
Andrea Harmon married the star football player, Billy, who was also a jerk. After marriage he became an abuser. When he divorced her and left town she was a wreck. It has taken her two years to rebuild her life and the only male in her life is her 12 year old son, Nicky.
Now, Andi's childhood best friend, Kyle Davenport, has moved back to Rosewood Bay. He left town when the girl he considered his best friend, and wanted to be more, married Billy. The woman he finds now is more cautious and different, but one he really wants to get to know again.
When Billy returns to town he lets her know that once his, always his. But Andi is no longer interested in playing the role of punching bag and is prepared to fight back.
After the sisters got their happy endings I thought that the series would end. Fortunately, Andi got a book herself and now I hope for more books in the series. Am I too greedy? Maybe I am, maybe I am not. I just know that I like the series. I might have felt like the series is dropping in quality, but this book is good and better than most of the books I had the chance to read recently. I wanted a longer book because I felt like the characters needed more time to develop their relationship. Something more was needed. This is not a bad book, but it had room for improvement. Still, Kyle and Andi got a good story and I liked them both.
Andi has gotten away from her abusive ex-husband and she is raising her son with the help of her brother. Kyle is his teacher and her former best friend. We find out why is that early in the book and for the most part, I felt sorry for Andi. She was too young and without someone to guide her or give her advice. Kyle was also too young to know and try to protect her. Now, he is a grown man though and he knows what to do and what not to. I liked that he wasn't pushing her around and actually listen to her and her wishes. He wasn't overprotective and he was just helping her without the smothering. He was the kind of man you want to have in your life.
The book was on the short side, but I still liked it and have positive feelings about it. I decided to go with a 4-star rating because it's the one that fits the best. I hope that the author will continue the series and we will see more from the characters we know and love. In this book, the sisters make an appearance or two and I was happy with that. I saw them live their lives after they got their happily ever after.
Dream by Carly Phillips is the final book in the Rosewood Bay series and a great story of friendship and second chances!
Andi is a strong woman because of her past and living her life with her son. In walks Kyle, her childhood friend and now her son’s teacher. With their past forgotten, can they make the most of their future?
I truly enjoyed this story. Andi and Kyle rekindling their friendship and seeing if it could turn into so much more. Dream was a heartwarming read where two people fall in love all over again. I am sad to see the series end but thought Carly Phillips ended it on the perfect note!
First off I want to say that this author is one of my very favorites. She is just one of those that I one click no matter what and I am never disappointed. I have been so anxious to get Andi's story. She is first introduced in book one and I just knew there was a great story with her and boy was I right. I was hooked from the first page and honestly I don't think I moved until I finished this book. It was that good. I loved Kyle from the get go and to be frank I have loved Andi from book one so to see this love story unfold was literally a dream. I just wanted more and more. Both characters were so real and relatable. And of course all the secondary characters are there and they just make it that much better. Now I just want to go reread the whole series altogether. Definitely a must read in my book!!
Carly gives us one helluva read with this final book in the Rosewood Bay Series. Andi and Kyle's story is about friendship, forgiveness and a second chance at love. Andi has been through hell and back with her past relationship but has learned to be independent, strong and stand on her own two feet. Kyle has always loved his best friend but past mistakes drove them apart can a rekindled friendship show them they were truly meant for each other? If you're ready to be captivated by one heartwarming, breathtaking read with all the feels then one-click this book now!
This is my first book by this author and I must say that I really like her style. This second chance romance is the fourth book in the Rosewood Bay series but can be read as a standalone.
Andrea Harmon is a single mum with a ten-year-old son, Nicky. She left an abusive husband and is trying to give her son a better life than the one he grew up with. Andi’s character is stereotypical of a woman who’s been through an abusive relationship and she doesn’t know how to live her life as normal. When her best friend Kyle comes back into town, she just might learn how to be herself again.
Kyle Davenport was Andi’s best friend in high school, secretly in love with her but never got the courage and lost her to a high school jock. He left town when she rejected his friendship and chose the other guy over him. Now that he is back is there any chance at all for him to be with the love of his life again?
This romantic tale written in third person has the usual formulaic second chance storyline but all is not that boring. The author’s narration of Andi’s pain caused by years of put-downs by her ex-husband at the beginning of the book is poignant and throughout the rest of the story when she gradually develops a backbone and exerts her independence is a joy to read, hope for an emotionally and physically abused survivor. The antagonist, Billy, Andi’s ex-husband is your classic douche bag, a waste of space that thrives on his power over women. Kyle is the ideal hero in this book and I am glad that the author didn’t portray him as the hunky alpha male overloaded with testosterone. He is a primary school teacher, the perfect match for Andi’s gentle spirit and a good role model to her son Nicky.
The secondary characters obviously have their own stories in the other books in the series but not reading theirs is not a detriment to the storyline. Although I would think it might help you connect the dots on who is who and not get confused, I can assure you that this book can stand well on its own. There are some elements of suspense that make you sit up and notice, some events that will put you on edge. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and most likely will add the rest of the series on my to-be-read list.
Since this series started with Kane’s story in “Fearless,” it’s only fitting that the series should end with his sister Andi. I loved Kane’s story and have enjoyed the series, so I was eager to read an early copy of Andi and Kyle's story. It was every bit as good as I anticipated, with terrific heart, inspiring character growth, gripping suspense and amazing chemistry.
Andi had some challenges growing up, with a mother who died too young and a father with a gambling addiction. Other than her brother, the only stable person in her life was her best friend Kyle, that is until she started dating bad boy quarterback, Billy Gray, who intimidated her into ending her friendship with Kyle. Years later, Andi is a divorced single mother, back in Rosewood Bay with her family. She's worked hard to regain her strength and confidence, and things are calm and settled for her and her son, until she discovers his new teacher is Kyle Davenport, her former best friend. With the way Andi left things, her first parent-teacher meeting isn’t looking too promising.
Andi easily found a place in my heart and I was invested in her story every step of the way. Her determination to rely only on herself and her struggle to find a balance between being independent and completely self-reliant versus accepting support and help from those who love her was a prevailing theme throughout the book. And Kyle was the perfect guy for her, showing her that help and support from someone who truly loves her doesn’t involve dominance or control. Andi was so afraid of losing the person she had fought so hard to become, but Kyle had her back and supported her while letting her make her own decisions. Yeah, Kyle found a place in my heart, too. This poignant, heartfelt, engaging, gripping story is the perfect end to the series and one you won’t want to miss.

Dream is another great offering by Carly Phillips in here Rosewood Bay series.
All Andi Harmon wants is to live her now quiet life and raise her son. She had enough drama while still married to her now ex-husband and the father of her son. She knows she made mistakes in the past and every single day she continues to deal with how those decisions still affect her. She lost her friends and most importantly, she pushed her best friend out of her life and that is a decision she still regrets.
Kyle Davenport has returned to Rosewood Bay after having moved away years before knowing that he couldn't stay in town and watch his best friend, and the woman he was falling for, begin a life with another man. He's now a school teacher at the elementary school and one of his students is none other than Andi's son, Nicky.
As Andi and Kyle reconnect, it's clear that Kyle still resents how their friendship ended before, but he also knows they are adults and they need to get along for Nicky's sake. Even though getting along for Nicky is their main focus, it doesn't take long for Andi and Kyle to realize that they are attracted to one another and it isn't something they can deny. Will Andi be able to trust herself in another relationship? And will Kyle be able to scale the walls that Andi has built around her heart?
I enjoyed the way that this story unfolded. It was realistic and I really appreciated how patient Kyle was throughout the book. He understood where Andi was coming from and while it may not have been easy for him to make some of the decisions he did, he knew deep down that she had to do those things for her in order for her to move on with her life. I loved Nicky and thought he was a cool kid.
Another enjoyable standalone by this fantastic author!
The saying 'save the best for the last' applies to me with the final book of the Rosewood Bay series "Dream". I have wanted to hear Andi's story since the beginning groundwork was set for her in "Fearless" with Kane and Halley. Carly takes a very sensitive, heartbreaking situation in Andi's life and tells the story of what a victim of abuse goes thru. The doubts in self, the need for independence but trying to learn to love again and most importantly trust, not just in others but within yourself. This book took me on the self discovering journey of an amazing young lady, re-building a life for herself and her son, the most important man in her life at this point, re-discovering friends, family and a whole world that she had been isolated from for so long.
Add in the one man who truly loved Andi all those years ago and had to let her go due to circumstances he had no control over nor did he understand. Now Kyle is back, and is determined not to fall for Andi again after having had his heart ripped apart all those years ago by her hurtful words and being shut out from his best friend's life and not understanding why. Kyle never got the chance to tell Andi his true feelings all those years ago, to her he was her best friend who was always there, little did she know how he really felt. Now he's back in town, teaching her son's class. While Kyle notices a problem with Nicky's reading and reaches out to Andi to inform her they come face to face for the first time in years.
With a common goal of helping Nicky overcome his reading issue, Kyle learns more and more about the missing years he was away in another city and what has gone on in Andi's life. Learning that things were not what he expected, and spending time with Andi again as well as her son, Kyle's resolve to hold his heart back starts to fall apart. Not only does he fall for Andi again but his heart has opened and fell completely for Nicky as well.
Seems like all things in Andi's life are coming together for a change. She has a man who understands and is considerate with how she needs to feel in control, have her independence while at the same time learning that she can lean on a man again and trust he will be there to support her. Until her ex comes back to town and threatens to destroy all she's built and her new found happiness.
Just simply loved this book and hated to have it all end, beautiful story!!
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Andi has had a tough life. Her mother passed away right before her teenage years and her father had a gambling addiction. Her older brother tried to raise her as best as he could but being a kid himself wasn't easy. She fell hard and fast for the star quarterback only to find him abusive both physically and mentally. The only thing good he ever gave her is her son Nicky. He separated her from all her friends and family even her best friend Kyle. Kyle let it happen but he didn't want to. He was too hurt by Andi's words to see them for what they were. He left town for college and would have stayed away if it hadn't been for his mother needing him. Who shows up in his classroom? Nicky. Now they have to find a common ground to be civil to each other after all this time. I have been waiting for Andi's HEA throughout this series. And no you don't have to read them all but why wouldn't you want to? Andi is by far my favorite. She has delt with so much and come out stronger for it. She stands up for herself and is determined to not put anyone in danger. Her mama bear comes out often but always thinks of her son first. Kyle is much the same. He puts the needs of his students above his mixed feelings for one of their mothers, namely Andi. Kyle knows how to treat other human beings and isn't afraid to show Andi what she's been missing. He has loved her since they were kids and that hasn't gone anywhere. Andi has loved him in return, it just got lost for a bit. This second chance, friends to lovers romance never gets old for me. It is fantastic to see what could have been become what should have been all a long.
I fell in love with Andi when we were first introduced to her in the first book. She is such a strong, determined, great mother. She got out of an abusive relationship and had to find her independence and inner strength again. She did with help from family and friends and with time. Then her past shows up, and sparks fly this time around.
Kyle moved away after high school to stay away from Andi. She really hurt him when they were younger. They were best of friends and Kyle always held a special spot for Andi in his heart. He never thought he would see her again, but then life brought him back home and he ends up teaching Andi's son, Nicky.
Kyle and Andi discuss issues that are going on with Nicky, and sparks fly, on both sides. Kyle doesn't want to feel these things for Andi, but he just can't help himself. Andi doesn't want to be in a relationship, she wants to prove to herself that she can do things on her own.
Andi's ex makes his way back into town and he comes back in to try and manipulate, belittle, and abuse Andi again. She won't have it this time, plus she has her family and now Kyle too. But is this all too much for Kyle to handle? Can Andi have her happily ever after and still keep her independance?
Loved this story. It was emotional, loving, romantic, and dealt with a very tough subject matter. Kyle and Andi have an amazing relationship and are able to be friends and so much more. It was a very enjoyable read. A great conclusion to the Rosewood Bay series!
“You're a brave boy. And Brave Men can cry and still be brave.”
Kyle Davenport is in love with his best friend, but never had the courage to speak. And on account of that, he saw her fall into the graces of the captain of the football team. But what hurt more was not to see her in the arms of another, was to hear from her mouth that she would never be his friend again.
Andrea Harmon has secrets that not even her best friend could know. And for this reason, she drives him away from her life. However, many years later, destiny unites their ways again: Kyle is back in town and is the new teacher of her son, Nicky.
Can a weakened and abused woman be able to recover? Back to trusting yourself enough to overcome the past and rebuild her life? In a short but well-developed work, Carly Phillips talks about friendship, domestic violence, abusive relationships, self-confidence, new chances and new beginnings.
The author is able to deliver an original narrative by showing the building of a relationship based on trust and respect, and where both parties have the space to know each other better, to strengthen and to evolve.
Ghosts of the past and unexpected events in the present bring fear and emotion to the narrative. A great cliché with romance and drama in the right measure, without excesses, and with important lessons and valuable reflections. Kyle and Andi are definitely the best couple in Rosewood Bay.
*An advance reading copy was provided to me in exchange for an honest review.*
In the fourth and final book in the Rosewood Bay Series, it’s finally time for Andi Harmon’s story. We met Andi in the first book of this series, as she’s Kane’s sister. She’s a single mom of Nicky, her little boy, who’s just trying to do right by him. Andi grew up in the Rosewood Bay community, fell for the handsome football player in high school, and thought her life was going to be golden. She soon found out that the handsome jock was also a big jerk, who isolated her from her family and friends, and once he got her pregnant, lost all interest in his family, before moving on with another woman who could keep him in the better lifestyle.
Kyle Davenport was Andi’s best friend growing up. They were inseparable. So much so that Kyle was hoping to be that person in Andi’s life. That is until she hooked up with the wrong guy and pushed him away. Kyle left for college and to try to mend his broken heart. Now all these years later, Kyle’s back in town and is Nicky’s teacher.
Still hurt by Andi’s actions when they were younger, Kyle tries to keep it professional between them at first. But as they work together to help Nicky be more comfortable with his reading, the attraction Kyle once felt starts coming back. For Andi, it’s the first time in a long time she’s feeling some kind of attraction to a man. They agree to take it slow (remember he is her son’s teacher), but then the ex-jerk of a husband comes back to town and starts making trouble, as if he still “owns” Andi. Now able to stand up on her own two feet, Andi isn’t going to take any of his abuse. But her loved ones still worry that she’s going to fall back under his spell and leave them again.
This book has all the feels ~ love, hate, sizzle, anger, trust and pain. It’s a beautiful way to wrap up the Rosewood Bay series.
Dream by Carly Phillips “Is this a dream or what happiness feels like? 4 stars”
Andi was once part of a abusive relationship, but she got herself and her son out in one piece. Now she’s picking up the pieces and creating a life for her son and herself. Then a ghost from her past comes back to town and becomes her son’s teacher. Will her and her former best friend be able to repair the relationship her ex obliterated? What if it turns out to be so much more.. Kyle left home after graduation and never looked back until now. He’s home for his family and nothing else. When Andi’s son is part of his class he doesn’t know how to react. But seeing his former best friend as a woman changes things and all those teenage feelings come rushing back. With her ex out of the picture Kyle decides to make his move. But what happens when her ex comes back, will he wreck everything they’ve built? I liked the general concept of Dream. Its actually one of my favorite tropes but Dream just fell a little short for me. I just couldn’t get into the story for some reason and there was one piece of the story that Phillips left out that bothered me involving the couple and her son. With that aside it was a decent book that I’m sure others will enjoy. Plot-4/5 Characters-4/5 Heat-4/5 Writing style-4/5 Overall-4/5
With DREAM Carly Philipps’ Rosewood Bay series is complete. It’s a series full of sweetness, friendship and wonderful banter and this one is no different and a wonderful conclusion to the whole series. The books might be standalones, but as you see a bit of everyone in most of the books – especially this one – I would still recommend to read the whole series.
Andi made her first appearance in one of the earlier books, and now she finally gets her second chance at love – with her childhood best friend Kyle. Kyle, who she lost contact to thanks to her abusive and jealous ex, never realizing that Kyle has been in love with her the whole time… Now having escaped the jerk’s clutches, their paths cross again – as Kyle becomes her son’s teacher…
Kyle… he was perfect in every way. Laid back but still alpha and hella protective. Swoon! And Andi might not have had an easy past, but she came out so much stronger, more resilient and sassier for it. She is a wonderful human being and seeing her rekindling her friendship – and more – with Kyle was as heartwarming and sweet as it was sexy. The bit of suspense thrown into the mix made the pages fly by.
A thoroughly fun and fast-paced read. I’m a little sad to see this series end.
After years of living under the oppression of a controlling and abusive husband, Andie was finally in a good place. she had a home of her own and job she enjoyed. She wasn't expecting any big changes in her life, but then her childhood best friend returned to town, and the sparks flew.
I always enjoy a friends-to-lovers/second chance type romance, and though this wasn't technically second chance, it very much felt that way. Andie had pushed Kyle out of her life, and he never knew why. While Kyle had been in love with Andie, but she was never aware of his affection for her. I really loved seeing them get together, and I liked how protective Kyle was of Andie, while still trying to respect her need to fend for herself. Andie's son added a bit of cuteness to the story, and there was a great group of found-family, who added a bit of something special to the story.
This is the fourth, and final, book in the Rosewood Bay series. It can be read as a stand-alone, but the three couples mentioned in this book each have their own story.
Andi caught the eye of the star football player, Billy, in high school. She was flattered to have his attention and naive enough to not recognize how he slowly separated her from all her other friendships. By the time he became abusive, she was pregnant and married. Billy threatened Andi to get her to end her last friendship with her life-long best friend, Kyle. Kyle was so hurt, he left town for college and his early teaching career without ever expressing his romantic feeling for Andi.
Fast forward eight years and Andi got herself and her son, Nicky, away from Billy with full custody. She struggled financially but now she is down to just one job as the manager of a local floral shop. She is determined to be independent and never let a man take away her freedom again. Kyle came home to be near his family and ends up as the teacher for Nicky.
Things are awkward at first. With time, they fall back into their friendship. Kyle wants more, but Andi isn't sure she is ready for that. Kyle is sexy, fun, patient and willing to let Andi grow in her freedom and come to him on her own terms. In the meantime, they have some hot, dirty talking sexy times together. Kyle is more than willing to wait for Andi and Nicky because he is determined to make them both his - forever. What will happen when Billy comes back to town looking for trouble?
Carly Phillips is is back with another explosive installment in this incredible series and she couldn't have done it better. Delivering a sexy, sweet, emotional, fast paced journey that captivated me from the very start... Carly balanced the angst, heat and emotions perfectly in a Dream and wrote a flawless love story.
Dream is the fourth standalone in the Rosewood Bay series and it's one you can't miss out on it. They were childhood friends who harbored feelings for years in secret moving on with life... until years later when they are both back and everything is exposed and everything has changed. Now they have a chance to try at...forever this time. Kyle and Andrea were unforgettable and completely undeniable y'all, in every single way. And together? They were magnetic and so so addicting, that I raced through the pages to get to that sweet, sweet happy ending.
This author is always an auto one click for me and if you haven't met her then this series is a great way to start.
Growing up, Andi and Kyle were best friends and for Kyle, Andi was his secret first love. Unfortunately for Kyle, Andi's infatuation with the High school quarterback Billy Gray became his nightmare when Andi fell pregnant and married Billy. Unbeknownst to Kyle, Billy had warned Andi to stay away from her best friend and Kyle decided to leave town in order to get over her. Fast forward 8 years and Kyle return to town only to discover Andi is now divorced and single. Not only that but Kyle is Andi's sons new teacher. New and old feelings surface for both of them but unfortunately so does Andi's ex-husband.
A great story to end the Rosewood Bay series.

Dream (Rosewood Bay, #4) by Carly Phillips I loved the first three books in this series and I loved this one too. This is Andrea Harmon and Kyle Davenport's story.... thanks to Carly and Booksprout for letting me read and review these books. Andrea (Andi) is divorced(two years) from he abusive husband and has total custody of her son Nicky. Kyle was her best friend through high school until her husband made her cut ties. Kyle is back in town and is Nicky's new teacher... Who wouldn't want a man like Kyle... the story pulled me in and didn't let me go...it was fun touching base with old friends and watching these two reconnect...some drama, tears, laughter and steamy sex to get us to their HEA.

This is the fourth book in the series, and gives Andi, the sisters' friend, her chance at an HEA. You don't need to have read the previous books to enjoy this one, but if you are a fan there are snippets of the trio and their loves too.
I found that this book did a really good job of showing how Andi had been sucked into her ex-husband's lies and threats as a youngster, and how she had developed as a strong and caring mother in spite of it. The arrival in town of her once best friend, Kyle and the difficulty in seeing him, knowing she had hurt him, works well, and the transition is all the sweeter for it.
Though not a long book, this is a very satisfying story, and shows a woman who has fought for her independence, and yet has also learned that she need not be alone, and is able to accept love and care when she needs it.
After escaping an abusive marriage, Andi just wants to be independent and raise her son. Then, her ex-best friend, Kyle, returns to Rosewood Bay and becomes her son's teacher and they face their past and try to forge ahead with a future while fighting her ex-husband who has come back to town.
This series has a darker slant to it and it continues with this book. A quick read, the romance is steamy in this book and includes drama as well. While I enjoyed it, I would have liked more development of the characters and story.
Andrea and Kyle had been BFF since they were little, until a guy broke them apart in high school. Now years later they are back in the their hometown he is her son's teacher. The friendship is still there along with a desire that takes their relationship to a whole new level. Written in Phillips great style of deep emotional character development, real life situations, deep family bonds, and interwoven characters with in the series.

Such a captivating and entertaining read, and not having read any book from this series yet I wasn't hindered at all by that. The pages were bursting with characters and situations that I found easy to connect to and follow and if anything after reading this, the conclusion to this series, it just makes me want to go back and read the others. I really enjoyed this emotional and romantic story, some might say it's a little too fluffy in parts, but I loved that.
