She was his best friend's little sister....
...and off-limits. Carrie King saw him as not only her brother's best friend but her friend. Jonah Richards, a pet shop owner and the president of the Bold2Ride (B2B) MC club bailed Carrie out of trouble more than once with a rival female club, the Hell Dolls that were jealous of the attention and the good deeds that they were doing. Instead of wanting to work with the Lady Guardians, Tequeela, their prez, just wanted to destroy the club by any means necessary, including implanting spies and using blackmail.
Jonah no longer sees Carrie as a little girl. He's drawn to her and wants her in his life. Carrie has been told that friends make the best lovers because they already know each other, and her mom and dad are pushing her to settle down, and they already see Jonah as another son. But, she has her job and club to handle along with the mess with Tequeela and the fundraisers to think about. She is also leary about getting involved with another guy as she's been burned by her previous love.
With all of the problems settled Jonah and Carrie take their time with taking their relationship to the next level with their HFN ending. This was a sweet easy read. I was not too keen on the fighting and I would have liked to have read why Jonah doesn't have a relationship with his family and if and how he handled Darla. Or how Darla would have confronted Carrie. But with that said, I loved how Jonah took his time and did not rush their relationship. I thought it was sweet.
