Der Schriftsteller Bay Whitman ist durch seine Romane mit dem Helden Jack Robbins berühmt geworden und obwohl er sich in der Öffentlichkeit sicher und selbstbewusst bewegt, ist er im Grunde unsicher, schüchtern und bleibt am liebsten für sich. Seine einzige Leidenschaft ist das Kartenspiel um hohe Einsätze und so kommt es, dass er am Ende eines Pokerabends in Las Vegas auch die Dienste eines Escortservices gewonnen hat. Er staunt nicht schlecht, als ein männlicher Callboy in seiner Hotelsuite erscheint und der ausgerechnet seinem erfundenen Romanhelden Jack Robbins wie aus dem Gesicht geschnitten ist.
So fand ich's:
Was für eine pikante Ausgangssituation! Bay spielt ab und zu den souveränen Lebemann, aber die meiste Zeit des Jahres versteckt er sich in seinem winzigen Büro und schreibt für Jack Robbins das Leben, das er gerne führen würde. Entsprechend mager sind seine sexuellen Erfahrungen - und dass der Pornodarsteller und Escort King Slater seine Emotionen so aufwühlt, verwirrt Bay gehörig, denn dass ihm auch Männer gefallen könnten, hat er bisher überhaupt noch nicht in Betracht gezogen. Doch er will die Chance nutzen, seinen Serienhelden Jack Robbins quasi live zu erleben, denn King ist genau so, wie Jack in Bays Büchern beschrieben wird.
Auch King ist nicht so souverän wie üblich, denn Bay ist kein williger Kunde, der King zu Füßen liegt, sondern er zögert und weist King zurück. Es dauert nicht lange, bis King mehr als eine Herausforderung in Bay sieht - und das bringt noch ganz andere Probleme Kings ans Licht.
Es gibt eine Vielzahl von Themen, die in diesem Buch angerissen werden. Von Mobbing in der Schule über soziale Phobien, Verstecken hinter einer Fassade, die den wahren Charakter fast schon komplett verbirgt, die Tatsache, dass King als Pornodarsteller und Escort beruflich Sex mit vielen Männern hat und das einer möglichen Liebesbeziehung nicht gerade gut tut, dass ausgerechnet King das perfekte Ebenbild des erdachten Helden Jack Robbins ist, diverse Missverständnisse, unerforschte Gefühle, und nicht zuletzt eine Erkrankung, die etwa in der Mitte des Buches erst thematisiert wird. Auf knapp 200 Seiten kann man natürlich keines dieser vielen Themen tiefer beleuchten und entsprechend oberflächlich bleibt die Beschäftigung damit. Das fand ich schade, denn jeder Aspekt hätte viel mehr hergegeben und ich hätte auch gerne mehr aus Kings oder Bays Perspektive darüber erfahren.
Im Kennenlernen von Bay und King gab es eine Menge Hin und Her, schnelle Änderungen der Stimmung und einige impulsive Reaktionen, die ich in dem Moment nicht verstand, die hinterher aber ausführlich zerredet oder zerdacht wurden. Ich konnte mich in beide Männer zwar meistens verstandesmäßig hineinversetzen, aber gefühlt habe ich nicht mit ihnen. Sie blieben auf Abstand. Ich konnte nicht mit ihnen mitfühlen, mitleiden oder mich mit ihnen freuen. Und auch die Erotik kam bei mir nicht an. Die unkomplizierte Schreibweise und die Story an sich haben mein Interesse soweit gehalten, dass ich bis zum Schluss weiter gelesen habe. Aber so manche Szene wollte ich am liebsten nur überfliegen, denn wirklich packen konnte mich das Buch zu keiner Zeit.
Vielleicht lag es an mir, vielleicht lag es am Buch, oder sind der Autor und ich einfach nicht kompatibel? Da das das erste Buch dieses Autors war, das ich gelesen habe, aber noch einer von seinen Romanen schon auf meinem Reader ist und ein anderer auf der Leseliste, wird sich wohl später herausstellen müssen, woran es genau lag.
Bei diesem Buch gibt es noch eine Besonderheit: Die deutsche Ausgabe ist zeitgleich mit dem US-amerikanischen Original erschienen.

Well, I ended up liking this a whole lot more than I thought I would; this was a challenge listen (needed for Santa's List of Names) and at first I was only in it for the completion.
I tend to be pretty picky about LV set books, but I'm always intrigued by how the city itself is portrayed. Sometimes it's through rose-tinted glasses and misses the seedy underbelly found here. Sometimes it's all "Whatever Happens..." and doesn't factor in the heavy family and religiously centered aspects. So, while there was one confusing passage about going from the MGM to Caesars' via Sahara (? - I was listening as I drove so I might have missed some streets in there - but still, why go that far north?), the rest was either general enough that it could have been anywhere, or were made-up/renamed...so not much to complain about there. (And the casino action was pretty well-played, too.)
I think I would have rated this slightly higher if that whole suspension of disbelief requirement (for King's shift in career at the end) wasn't so far-fetched. I just...sure, I'd love it if a well-known gay (male) porn star/prostitute could become a franchise-anchoring, blockbuster action movie star - but the struggle to overcome the stigma of prior sex-work (as unfair & unnecessary as I believe that stigma to be)....well, I thought it deserved more time spent exploring that than just explaining away the details within some exposition/info-dumping type story-telling.
But I did like how the sex-addiction was addressed; man, I was almost ready to DNF it there when that obstacle was introduced, especially given King's dual-income stream sources, but SC managed to handle that one pretty well. I'm not as familiar with the treatment of those with such an affliction, but it was approached delicately and with some good explanations. YMMV.
And I am a sucker for stories with sex-workers in general, so I was predisposed to like this at least a little. Plus, I enjoyed Kenneth Obi's performance as Bay. (Even though I thought a narrator with a slightly deeper/gravely voice was needed for King.) He had the right cadence and tone for Bay, and played this character's sexual orientation confusion & arousal - as well as his struggle to self-confidence - with a great deal of emotion.
All total, not a bad a story!

Il pregio di questa storia sta nella trama diversa dal solito m/m romance quantomeno nell’impostazione, con due personaggi appartenenti a realtà diverse: il porno attore-escort e lo scrittore di bestsellers.
Entrambi di successo nel loro campo, nascondono in realtà insicurezze e ferite del passato.
Per stessa ammissione dell’autore nell’introduzione, la storia tocca due tematiche delicate: la dipendenza da sesso e il bullismo, con l’insicurezza cronica derivante, ma il libro non ha toni cupi o angosciosi. È una commedia leggera e piacevole, con punte molto hot e altre dolci, ideale da leggere per relax, se cercate una storia senza drammi o disgrazie, per scoprire i compromessi a cui Bay e King vanno incontro, fin dal primo momento, e la loro crescita personale e come coppia verso la felicità.

Bay ist ein gefragter und bekannter Autor, der in der Öffentlichkeit selbstbewusst auftritt. Doch im Alltag ist er ganz anders – ein Nerd und Einzelgänger, schüchtern und introvertiert. Sein größtes Laster sind Glücksspiele bzw. Kartenspiele, und eines Tages gewinnt er einen Callboy, der seiner Romanfigur Jack Robbins so ähnlich ist, dass es Bay nicht glauben kann.
King arbeitet als Pornostar und Callboy und wird eines Abends von Bay bei einem Pokerspiel gewonnen. Er spürt eine Spannung, eine Verbindung zwischen sich und Bay und ist es am Anfang noch eher der Reiz des nicht haben könnens, so entwickelt sich doch irgendetwas zwischen den beiden. Zu Kings leidwesen, denn er hat mit seiner Vergangenheit zu kämpfen und eine Beziehung mit tief greifenden Gefühlen ist das letzte was er jetzt gebrauchen kann.
Eigentlich hat mich der Klappentext ziemlich angesprochen, nur konnte mich die Geschichte leider überhaupt nicht packen – weder die Charaktere, noch der Plot. Es gibt so viele Dinge, wie z. B. Mobbing im Jugendalter, usw. die angesprochen, aber irgendwie nicht genügend bearbeitet wurden. Aber genau mit diesen Dingen hätte der Autor den Charakteren Tiefgang geben können, so blieben sie eher oberflächlich und haben mich überhaupt nicht berührt. Auch aus Kings Problem, das ihm seine letzte Beziehung gekostet hat, hätte man viel machen können, aber mir kam vor auch hier kratzte der Autor eher an der Oberfläche.
Die Beziehung der beiden hat relativ interessant begonnen, doch die Gefühle füreinander konnte ich ihnen nicht so richtig abkaufen. Ob es einfach an der oberflächlichen Charakterentwicklung liegt oder dass sie mich einfach nicht berühren konnten, kann ich nicht sagen. Auf jeden Fall konnte ich ihnen die Gefühle füreinander leider nicht abkaufen. Auch in gewissen Situationen konnte ich einfach nur die Stirn runzeln, weil ich mir dachte: „Was soll denn das jetzt?“ und „Verhält sich so ein erwachsener Mann?“
Ich kenne von dem Autor auch andere Geschichten. Eine weitere mit einem Pornodarsteller hat mir ebenfalls nicht gefallen, eine andere, die eher in Richtung Romance mit Mystery geht, dafür umso besser. Ein Bild zu diesem Buch muss sich jeder Leser selbst schaffen, aber von mir gibt es keine Leseempfehlung.

Das ist mal wieder ein Buch aus der Sparte: es hätte wirklich großartig sein können. Bei dem »hätte« bleibt es aber für mich auch, denn mehr als 2* gebe ich diesem Paar nicht, und auf eine Leseempfehlung verzichte ich ebenfalls.
Die Story versinkt nach einem interessanten Anfang nämlich ruckzuck in ein merkwürdiges Hin und Her zwischen den Hauptcharakteren, bei dem ich immer wieder dasaß und dachte: »Hä? Was soll das denn jetzt wieder?« In einem Moment reden sie wie zwei vernünftige, erwachsene Männer über ihre Vergangenheit (die in beiden Fällen ziemlich eilig abgehandelt wird, dabei wäre da so viel Potenzial für mehr gewesen), im nächsten verschwindet der eine, schmollend wie ein Kleinkind, mit einem neuen Kunden in dessen Schlafzimmer. Ich habe bis zum Schluss nicht verstanden, wieso. Die Charaktere kommen mir einfach nicht nahe, dabei gab es ständig Momente, wo ich dachte, das ist es jetzt, gleich kommt noch »mehr« und dann versinkt die Geschichte doch wieder in ihrer Belanglosigkeit.
Ich kann es wirklich nicht anders beschreiben. Bay und King sind beide vielschichtig, zumindest wurden sie so angelegt, aber es kommt nicht bei mir an und wird auch nicht ausgearbeitet. Alles bleibt seltsam oberflächlich, als hätte der Autor sich nicht getraut, die Geschichte in die Tiefe gehen zu lassen. Dazu kommen seitenlange Erzählungen über Pokerspiele, die mich – sorry an alle Pokerfans – beinahe zu Tode gelangweilt haben, denn ich habe sie gelesen, in der Hoffnung, dass vielleicht doch noch etwas passiert, das mir die Charaktere näher bringt.
Irgendwann habe ich es aufgegeben und die Seiten nur noch überflogen, um endlich zum Ende zu kommen. Wirklich schade, denn die Idee hat mich sehr angesprochen. Die Umsetzung finde ich allerdings schwach und nicht gelungen.

Bei einem Aufenthalt in Vegas gewinnt er dabei zufällig einen Termin mit einem Escort-Service. Er staunt nicht schlecht, als dieser sich als Mann und zudem auch noch als Ebenbild seines erdachten Jack Robbins entpuppt.
Matthew „King“ Slater verdient sein Geld als Pornodarsteller, zudem jobbt er zusätzlich als hochbezahlter Callboy. Als er Bay kennenlernt, bringt das seine Therapieerfolge in Gefahr. Denn King ist sexsüchtig.
Die Geschichte um Bay und King beginnt eigentlich vielversprechend. Und obwohl sich Bay für heterosexuell hält, wird ihm schnell klar, dass er King durchaus auch körperlich anziehend findet. Das beruht auf Gegenseitigkeit, doch wegen seiner Sexsucht meidet King emotionale Bindungen.
Die teils traurige Vorgeschichte der beiden Männer wird nur kurz erwähnt, auch KIngs Therapie dauert schon drei Jahre an. Alles in allem konnten mich Bay und King als Paar nicht so recht überzeugen. Die Gefühle der beiden kommen meiner Meinung nach, zu kurz. Die Erzählung bleibt dann auch recht ruhig und ohne erwähnenswerte Dramatik. Phasenweise habe ich mich dann auch gelangweilt. Selbst bei den Pokerszenen kam keine nachvollziehbare Spannung auf. Liegt vielleicht auch daran, dass der Autor sich viel ausführlicher mit der Kleidung, Anzüge von namhaften Designern beschäftigt hat, als dem eigentlichen Glücksspiel.

Immaginate che sorpresa, per un autore, aprire la porta della suite d’albergo pensando di trovarsi faccia a faccia con una escort donna e invece, oltre a trovarsi di fronte uno splendido uomo, rendersi conto che incarna tutti gli aspetti immaginati per il proprio personaggio. È quello che succede a Bay nell’incontrare King, un attore porno gay e escort di professione. È uno shock, un meraviglioso e puro colpo di fortuna.
Una sorpresa che ho provato anche io in parte, nei confronti dell’autore; sono rimasta, infatti, scioccata nel rendermi conto che è un uomo sposato con un altro. Ora voi penserete “Danny ma che cavolo stai dicendo? Non ti facevamo di certo omofoba”. Ovviamente non sono omofoba ma sono abituata a leggere mm scritti da donne, ne ho letti pochissimi scritti da uomini. Quindi più che scioccata è meglio dire meravigliata ed euforica. Non so spiegarvi la sensazione, ma è bello. È una bella cosa. Quando ho iniziato a leggere mm l’ho fatto perché i romanzi tra uomini e donne mi avevano stufato. All’inizio non consideravo veri libri gli mm, erano evasione e distrazione ma poi, approfondendo il genere, mi sono resa conto che stavo sbagliando. Capita sempre di trovare pubblicazioni di bassa qualità come in ogni genere, ma ci sono anche romanzi forti e dinamici che ti passano un bagaglio emotivo molto intenso. Nel caso di questo libro, da Jack a King, i temi centrali sono l’accettazione del nostro io più intimo, senza nascondersi dietro personaggi inventati, consuetudini e, una cosa che conoscevo poco: la dipendenza da sesso. Coincidenza che proprio in questi giorni il disordine sessuale compulsivo, appunto la dipendenza da sesso, è stato riconosciuto come disturbo mentale dall’Oms (Organizzazione mondiale della sanità). È un tema decisamente spinoso che viene affrontato molto bene nel romanzo. Ho apprezzato che uno dei personaggi ne soffrisse, ma anche il modo con cui affronta questa battaglia.
Il libro è scritto molto bene, con una narrazione lineare, solida e tranquilla. È una bella storia d’amore, intelligente e introspettiva, anche se non troppo. Ammetto che mi aspettavo qualcosa di più, per esempio più drammaticità soprattutto per i temi toccati e anche più azione e un tocco maggiore di romanticismo. Comunque sia resta un bel romanzo e ve lo consiglio.

People who live in the public eye either love it or hate it and, if they have no choice, try to find ways of dealing with it. ‘From a Jack to a King’ is the story of a shy mystery writer who has a very hard time dealing with his fame and being a celebrity. King is a gay porn star and has no issue with being adored by his fans. They meet purely by coincidence, are intrigued but not initially attracted to each other, and their past experiences plus a few twists and turns make honesty between them very difficult. They face a tough road if they ever want to truly get to know and accept each other, and, for the longest time, I wasn’t sure if they’d ever succeed. Scotty Cade certainly managed to keep me in suspense!

Pretty good book. A bit slower than it needed to be, and not as much character depth as it could have had, given the length. But it was an enjoyable read and both characters were lovely. Unrealistic HEA but by the end of the book we weren't really in reality anyway.

Da Jack a King è una lettura molto gradevole, fresca e adatta a questo periodo, sia per chi è in vacanza, sia per chi vuole qualcosa di leggero ma con spessore, con cui staccare un po' la spina.
Infatti, la storia affronta temi pesanti come il bullismo e le dipendenze - in questo caso quella da sesso - ma, come scrive all’inizio del libro l’autore, lo fa in modo leggero, dandogli il giusto rilievo e non per un mero fine narrativo.
Sia l’autore che il marito hanno subito atti di bullismo da giovani, quindi sa di cosa scrive e sa le conseguenze che il bullismo può causare ad un ragazzo che poi diventa uomo.
Questo libro racconta di due uomini che da giovani sono stati bullizzati e maltrattati, che crescendo, per sopravvivere, hanno dovuto indossare un’armatura che loro definiscono maschera.
Per Bay è quella di Jack Robbins, il protagonista del suo libro, in cui cerca di immedesimarsi ogni volta che deve affrontare incontri, conferenze, partite a poker o altri avvenimenti, poiché è una persona molto insicura, asociale, che vive la vita attraverso i suoi libri. Per King invece è il suo lavoro di attore porno gay ed escort, nei quali si rifugia chiudendo il suo cuore, mostrandosi libero e sicuro di sé in ogni occasione.
La storia si sofferma in maniera delicata sul loro passato, per raccontare il loro presente, rendendo chi legge partecipe di tutti i sentimenti e le emozioni che provano, coinvolgendo attivamente il lettore e portandolo, senza saperlo, anche a riflettere.
Sono due figure diverse, ma unite da un passato simile che li ha resi uomini fragili, che per un puro caso del destino o, più precisamente, per una partita a poker dove Bay vince King, i due si incontrano. La somiglianza di quest’ultimo all’immaginario Jack Robbins dà inizio alla loro storia, provocando malintesi, una serie di eventi a volte un po' tragicomici e a volte imbarazzanti.
Il libro ci mostra il percorso evolutivo di Bay e King nell’affrontare i loro problemi e le loro insicurezze, cambiando la vita l’uno dell’altro, raccontandoci una storia d’amore molto delicata, dove lo stare assieme, i piccoli momenti di intimità, il parlare, sono molto più importanti del sesso.
In quest’opera non ci sono colpi di scena o avvenimenti eclatanti: tutto va liscio, rendendo la lettura molto scorrevole e piacevole e, come ho detto in precedenza, nonostante affronti temi seri, lo fa con una leggerezza che non sminuisce i problemi, ma fa riflettere su essi.
Molte cose non sono state approfondite, ma secondo me è una cosa voluta dall’autore appunto per mantenere la spensieratezza del racconto.
Ho trovato la storia d’amore molto bella e anche l’interagire dei due protagonisti molto plausibile e coerente. Le scene di sesso non sono tantissime e non sono spinte, quindi può essere una lettura adatta a tutti.
Da Jack a King è un libro molto veloce, perfetto per questi periodi estivi.

This isn’t a terribly plausible book, but it is a highly entertaining read. From high stakes gambling in Vegas to sex addiction treatment in New York, the book avoids most porn star romance clichés and kept me guessing with imaginative twists and turns. I couldn’t help but love both King and Bay.

Even though these two men were so different on the surface, they had some shared histories, and a clear connection. It was fascinating watching Bay grow into himself, and also allow King to reign in his persona and be Matthew. It is a very sensual read, with a building tension between them as Bay comes to realise that his feelings for King bring into question his assumed sexuality. His innocence was refreshing without being naïve.
It was fun to be immersed in a variety of worlds; from the glamour of Vegas poker games, to the porn shoot, the book signings, we had a glimpse of the outside, but also the quiet times were important too. A satisfying read with some big issues dealt with in a sensitive and informative way, as well as a hot and romantic story.

Due uomini agli antipodi. Uno è uno scrittore, affermato e famoso, l'altro è un attore porno, anch’egli famoso, che la notte cambia volto e diventa un escort.
Il loro è un incontro voluto dal destino. Bay è a Las Vegas per firmare autografi, mentre King per girare un film. Il cliente che ha “prenotato” King, sta perdendo a poker con Bay e impegna il suo appuntamento nella speranza di vincere. Ovviamente perde e Bay si ritrova con un escort già pagato e con il piccolo problema che lui è... etero.
Quando King si trova davanti Bay è felice perché per una volta il suo cliente è giovane e molto attraente. Per Bay l’incontro è uno shock perché King è la copia vivente del suo protagonista libresco.
Quando King scopre che il suo nuovo cliente è etero, resta deluso e non sa bene come comportarsi, anche se l’istinto gli suggerisce che le cose potrebbero non essere così semplici. Per ingannare il tempo decidono di giocare a strip poker, ma una frase poco felice di Bay fa fuggire King. Con sorpresa Bay scopre che l’escort aveva la mano vincente e non capisce perché invece lo abbia fatto vincere di proposito.
Ma, soprattutto è confuso, perché si sentiva attratto da lui.
Durante la partita i due uomini si sono raccontati alcuni avvenimenti del loro passato: entrambi sono stati ragazzini soli, bullizzati per motivi diversi, timidi e sgraziati, anche se hanno reagito in maniera diversa. Bay si è chiuso e ha inventato un alter ego letterario; King ha iniziato a frequentare una palestra, a migliorarsi, ma sono anche iniziati i problemi ed è diventato dipendente dal sesso.
Da quell'incontro nascerà una bella amicizia l'attrazione aumenterà fino al fatidico lieto fine.
Una bella storia, che tocca un argomento come la dipendenza da sesso e l'autrice, pur non entrando nello specifico, rende bene l'idea di cosa comporti e di quali possano essere le conseguenze.
La storia è incentrata su Bay e King, sul loro passato, che li ha portati a essere gli uomini di successo di adesso.

Bay is a best selling author in Vegas for a book signing. He wins 2 hours with escort and porn star King in a poker game. When King shows up on Bay's door step his is the spitting image of the title character of Bay's best selling book. I really like the set up for this story. Both guys are famous in their own circles but initially, neither knows who the other is. It seems too crazy to be true but I think that is why it worked and why I liked it.
Bay is dealing with the realiity that he is not straight and he has ongoing issues with confidence and self-esteem having been bullied as a kid. King is a recovering sex addict and isn't sure sure he trusts himself enough to have a relationship again. As the relationship between the men starts to change and grow a lot of time is devoted to dealing with these issues and I thought the author did a good job and took care not to trivialise these important issues.
A large part of this story is set in Vegas and while the men are in Vegas there is plenty going between them that kept me interested and I liked spending time with King and Bay. I enjoyed seeing them trying to work out what was going on between them and work each other out. But when the story moved to New York I felt like it was a little too predictable and the story slowed down. But in the end even though the ending was obvious, I was still happy to see to intelligent, sexy guys get their HEA.

A fantastic book I loved. When I read the blurb I knew I wanted to read it, also being Mr Cade stories which I'm a fan of. The characters are great and definitely had something going between them when they first meet after Bay gets over his shock. The struggles for Bay feeling something for King had him confused as to how and why when he's straight. Bay's past was a rough one but when it comes to King's history avoidance he was good at in the later part of the book. Includes topics such as childhood bullies, sex addiction. Some great scenes are included, with King and Sam and a little voyager on the side, I didn't like King in this scene but they both get some answers I think esp with Bay. I especially loved the ending for these gorgeous guys, but maybe a little bit predictable. I would've loved to know their ages as I suspect there's an age gap with Bay the older one. King was a porn star and despite his films looking hot he was bored. A sideline of being an escort and given him extra money, but he hides something at the start but comes out later in the book.
Bay was a recluse mystery writer and loved to gamble. His book series Jack Robins was soon to be produced as a movies. Winning an escort from Paul in a card game he was no idea who'd be at his door at midnight. Bay was straight and hmm yah things will heat up and confusing for Bay.

Un livre qui parle de jeu, qui connaît les mises et les mains ! Wouahhhhh c’est bon et excitant pour le joueur en moi.
Concernant l’histoire, j’ai trouvé certaines ficelles un peu... faciles. Des détails manquants également (comme l’âge des personnages).
Une relecture serait nécessaire pour éliminer certaines répétitions donnant un sens lourd et malvenu... il m’a fallu relire trois fois une phrase pour la comprendre une annonce s’annonça ou un personnage personnifié qui personnalise (j’exagère mais parfois on n’est pas loin de ce type de phrases).
Un bon moment, un livre pas parfait mais intéressant surtout au niveau de l’addiction.
Concernant l’histoire, j’ai trouvé certaines ficelles un peu... faciles. Des détails manquants également (comme l’âge des personnages).
Une relecture serait nécessaire pour éliminer certaines répétitions donnant un sens lourd et malvenu... il m’a fallu relire trois fois une phrase pour la comprendre une annonce s’annonça ou un personnage personnifié qui personnalise (j’exagère mais parfois on n’est pas loin de ce type de phrases).
Un bon moment, un livre pas parfait mais intéressant surtout au niveau de l’addiction.

Leggere questo libro è stato un viaggio. Però è stato un viaggio particolare, perché non è stato solo mio. Anche i protagonisti ne hanno compiuto uno: un viaggio complesso, fatto di fraintendimenti, baci rubati, paure e nuove scoperte.

Una storia delicata, su quanto ciò che mostriamo equivalga a ciò che siamo, su quanto i traumi dell adolescenza influiscono sulla nostra crescita, sul nostro equilibrio e su quanto la sincerità, soprattutto con noi stessi, nel riconoscere i limiti e le paure possa avvicinarci agli altri. Another thoroughly enjoyable read by Scotty Cade!! The issues of bullying and sex addiction were handled very well. The story between Bay and King moved along smoothly with the conflict being the results of those issues that the characters had suffered.

Wow non pensavo che mi sarebbe piaciuto così tanto questo libro visto il lavoro fatto da uno dei protagonisti. Entrambi i personaggi mi sono piaciuti e li ho trovato davvero affascinanti. La parte finale poi è davvero bella.
