Madelon Smid’s Lethal Landing captures the heart in this incredibly satisfying love story. Beautifully written, Smid gives the reader a unique experience using Arianna and Damien’s soaring passion for each other in the scenic Arizona desert. The colorful scenes draw in the reader as if they are sailing along stunning Sedona in their very own hot air balloon or experiencing the lively sites of San Francisco. Very well written, I love the characters, especially strong willed Ari, and learning about her Native American heritage. The mounting danger that the couple experience as Damian tries to shield Ari from the perils in his life puts the reader on the edge of his seat. Lethal Landing is a book that needs to be savored as it is read so you don’t miss any descriptive details of the enchanting romantic story.

In Lethal Landing, Book Two in The Sisters in Peril Trilogy, romantic suspense author Madelon Smid does not disappoint. The action starts on the first paragraph and doesn’t let up until the very last page. Arianna Choctaw, the strong-willed, feisty heroine, struggles against her innate distrust of men when she meets handsome, dashing Damien Sharpe, a man with his own inner demons. Together, they must survive deadly attacks by a devious killer who will stop at nothing to destroy them. The author’s vivid descriptions of the high desert country, the modern Apache culture, and the unusual sport of ballooning, bring the unique setting to life. If you’re looking for action, adventure, and a satisfying love story, I highly recommend this read.

I loved writing this book, especially finding Ari, the perfect sister for Sky, whom I introduced in the first book in the Sisters in Peril Trilogy. I wanted the half sisters to learn and grown because of their differences, and yet to have the common experience of being rejected by their father. In the final book Halley, too, is abandoned by the same father before birth. The youngest daughter, she brings a unique perspective to the idea of family. I'm glad you liked Lethal Landing, thanks for your support.
