I've owned a copy of this book since christmas 2014 and never once read it..and now that changes.
118 pages in..14 chapters later..and this comes off as posh. Upper class British posh. Its so uncomfortable.
The characters are so bland and repeative.
Every piece of dialogue is repeated but spoken by someone else.
Each chapter has a new problem but is solved with a bow on top by the end of the chapter.
The first couple of pages open up on a murder, than it flashes to 2006 America and its so mundane about a woman trying to be a model and being quite vain.
I know 2006 was 19 years ago, but this book feels 10x older. Almost as if its a period piece instead of a contemporary piece.
"The ambulance men." , you mean paramedics?
I have no idea what this story is about. I'm serious. It seems so mishmash. A romance. A model. A actor. Family secrets. Crime. I don't know.
