Wow! I picked this book up at an author event and I am so glad that I did. I wasn't sure, because if you know me then you know that I am not really into PNR stuff. But this one with mermaids was fantastic! I honestly was bummed that it wasn't longer! There was not a whole lot of spice.... but there sure were some parts that made me feel uber stabby! And when I thought I was over it.... some more of those moments showed up again! Some people just don't know when to quit! I am moving on to the next book by this author in this world and I am super excited to see what happens in it!

This is my first mermaid read and I absolutely loved it! We meet Ophelia and her fiancé Grant. Phe (Ophelia) comes home to find Grant in a comprising position with someone Phe trusted. Running to her best friends house for comfort. They decide to keep their plan to go to a Spa in Aurora Falls.
The story takes off from there, I will say I was captivated from the prologue and didn't stop reading til the end! I couldn't get enough of Phe and Tait! Who is a Viking!! There's the bar scene when Phe gets there and has to learn more about the folklore of Sapphire Lake. She's drawn to Tait and the history of Sapphire Lake, I wanted more of Tait and Ophelia! I laughed at the scenes between Phe and Devyn! The love scene between Tait and Ophelia was super sexy!! The epilogue is perfect!! I didn't expect it to end like it did!! Loved it!!

This was an interesting story that I really enjoyed. I've never read a mermaid story but PA Vachon did a really good job with writing this. Great storyline, twists and turns and I loved Phe and Tait. Now I think I need to get some of the other books in this series!!

Brilliantly written and colorful and original, this is EXACTLY the kind of book that gets me giddy and makes me yearn for more!
PA Vachon put together a beautiful tale. The characters draw you in and Aurora Falls has you wanting to stay in hopes of meeting your very own merman. I loved all the legends and the epilogue...Oh it gave me HAPPY SIGHS! I am enchanted with Aurora Falls and am really looking forward to reading the other books in this very special series!

A great quick read set in the Mountain Mermaids of Sapphire Lake series. Ophelia comes to Aurora Falls to visit a spa retreat after a devastating betrayal. She is charmed by the town and its little quirks but finds herself noticing weird things. Tait is beyond ready to find his mate and break the curse and believes that the woman he spied on the lake shore just might be her. When the two meet their attraction in instantaneous and off the charts. But the messy baggage Ophelia escaped from follows her to town. Can she leave the past in the past and have an open enough mind to except the magical and bright future that just might lay ahead for her? Read it and find out for yourself!

I am enjoying these books about the mermen & mermaids by different authors
I really enjoyed this where Phe goes there after finding her boyfriend & sister in bed together so she goes to Aurora Falls where the folklore stories of serpent of the lake when she a bit more than tipsy she sure she has seen it what she don't see is the merman who can't come on to land until the full moon & then only for 3 days
Tait knows that he needs to see the girl he saw while in the lake is she the one who can break the hundreds of year old curse & be his true love

I am totally rocking this merman series. I felt bad for Phe on her first choice of a boyfriend since he turned out to be a cheating jerk. But then she met Tait in Aurora Falls and it was something special. He is a merman by curse of a witch and believes Phe is his chosen one to break the curse. They have some bumps but the ending is spectacular. You won't regret jumping into this series Author Vachon knocks it out of the park on this one!.

Really enjoyed this one, wanted to do bad things to Phe's sister Prim though!! Her ex was a douche, a big one!!! Tait caught my interest from the first glimpse of him.
The back story was compelling and a I see a lot of opportunity for more to be told about this town, the cursed people and many more fated mates!
Definitely an intriguing story idea, enjoyed it quite a bit!

So melodramatic
So much unnecessary and vapid drama. It was very silly. We are told a lot of things but we don’t see much for a long time. Random details were weird and made no sense. The 2 MC don’t even meet until nearly 60% and there is even a secondary pairing that starts and completes after that. This novella gave me a headache.

There she meets Tait and fate steps in.
Loved that Ophelia kicked Grant to the kerb but I cannot believe what a cow her sister Primrose was. Complete horror. Those two deserve each other.

I really enjoyed most of this series, but this book let me down. It took 39 pages (out of 74) to meet the H, and the writing was overly descriptive and just took up unnecessary time. I spent an inordinate amount of time rolling my eyes and just wanted it to be over so I could cleanse my palate with another book. :(

A magical mermaid tail. This is an insta love book. The main characters were loveable. However you will want to throat punch some of the others. There is of course a HEA. A quick and easy read when you just want to take a vacation from reality for a little while.

Wonderful read!
I so enjoyed reading about Phe and Tait, they were great characters! Poor Phe, healing from such a large betrayal, but Tait and her friend Dev are their to help her.

Love how Phe rises above her cheating ex to move forward and take a vacation with her best friend, it is on this vacation she finds love again. Now will she believe in him and believe in love to take her chance at happily ever after

Love at first sight is the best way to describe the love story of Tait and Ophelia. Tait has been waiting for years to find the one true love who will break the curse that binds him to the lake. He keeps hoping, that this full moon will the one where he finds her.
Ophelia is on a getaway , trying to find herself after a heartbreaking relationship there she goes to the local watering hole , little does she know destiny is waiting for her there. This is a lovely story, it’s well written with wonderful characters – I really enjoyed the story of a woman who trusts her instincts and what fate has in store with her. I am hoping there will be many more of these stories!!
