Cautious Going in but Edified Going out
My wife was referred by one of her friends to read this book. With it not being a normal topic, I was reluctant to really give it a shot since I am not much of a reader.
I was very impressed with the the reliance on scripture and analysis of historical comparison of pagan gods with actual demons and principalities (in which I had studied at some depth prior from ancient cultural comparisons).
The author communicates clearly that above all else as a follower of Christ we are to be led first and foremost by the Holy Spirit before any presumption we have by guide or manual. This “guide” of compiled information and personal experience is very edifying and has helped me in many new areas where God is presently leading me with spiritual authority.

Good resource
I've only recently learnt about the existence of marine spirits as a result of certain dreams that I've had that led me to do some research online. I found this resource and it was an easy decision for me to buy it because I trust Jennifer LeClaire's voice in such matters. I'm glad to have this resource to refer back to whenever I need to. Thank you, Jennifer, for investing your time to write this book.

Knowing is half the battle
I've always heard about the demons mentioned in this book, but the detail and in-depth description of them is amazing. I thank God that He uses people like yourself to help others open up their eyes and see the reality of our enemy, yet let alone our God is greater!

I just didn't know
I live in an area where these things are just not discussed. I appreciate the information and Jennifer's frankness about the resistance and ridicule she met with in the process of getting the word out.

Insightful
I especially appreciated the prayers at end to combat these sneaky, often disguised spirits. The closing blessing to remind me to seek discernment proved another blessing!

In some parts very familiar and repetitive. In some ways a lot more of what I already knew. And then in other ways wow! Very insightful and helpful. I think reading this has helped clarify a few things going on in my life and in my little world.

Powerful and on-point
I was initially skeptical about this book. What on earth is a water spirit? It sounded off the wall
But the book was highly recommended by a respected Christian leader, so I decided to take a look
Then I couldn’t put it down
The book explained many of the things I had been encountering while serving in Brazil. And the suggested prayers are powerful and effective

Quite a pioneering work in gathering together information about water spirits - both those mentioned in Scripture, those that are mentioned in folklore and literature, as well as those experienced by believers who have come under attack by unusual entities. The natural world parallels the spiritual world and gives insight into how these spirits operate.

Great book there’s still a lot more we yet to uncover in terms of the spiritual world and I feel like we’ve barely scratched the surface as to all it entails.
