You met them in DREAM A LITTLE DREAM OF ME. Now prepare to fall in love with THE YOUNGERS, a brand-new series from Iris Morland, full of sexy men, passionate women, and the love stories you can't get enough of.
A brilliant, aloof lawyer, Phin Younger has focused solely on his career and on helping people less fortunate.
Living his life without romance? He’s just fine with that. Phin knows all too well how relationships make life messy and complicated.
Until the day Emily Lassiter begs Phin to help her teenage brother. Beautiful but as fierce as a lioness, Emily is like no other woman he’s met.
Suddenly, all of Phin’s plans to avoid romantic entanglements are thrown out the window the moment he sets eyes on Emily.
A former model, Emily now struggles to make ends meet for herself and for her teenage brother Josh. When Josh commits a crime that could put him behind bars for years, she turns to her brother’s court-appointed lawyer, Phin Younger, for help.
But Emily never expected that her brother’s lawyer would be young and handsome. And she definitely never expected that Phin’s kiss would heat a need inside her that soon transforms into a conflagration.
When these two can no longer deny their feelings for each other, an embittered rival of Phin’s threatens to destroy his career, dragging Emily into the scandal.
Now these star-crossed lovers must overcome the fears that hold them captive—or face a future without the love that could set them both free.

THE YOUNGERS Then Came You Taking a Chance on Love All I Want Is You My One and Only
A coffee addict and cat lover, USA Today bestselling author Iris Morland writes sparkling, swoon-worthy romances, including the Flower Shop Sisters and the Love Everlasting series.
If she's not reading or writing, she enjoys binging on Netflix shows and cooking something delicious.
The book recaps the prologue Phin was a great character. He craved helping those who couldn't afford a high priced lawyer and did his best to give them the best legal defense he could. He came from a rough childhood where his father was a drunk and abusive and it made him doubt love was even possible.
Emily is dyslexic and has always been told she was dumb. My husband is dyslexic so I related to her low self esteem. The self loathing she had for herself. Thinking that Phin wouldn't like her if he knew of her disability, it all fit. She wasn't as strong in fighting for herself but when it came to defending Phin...I loved it.
I wish there was more focus on Emily and her ex's relationship. I wanted to see Phin kick his a$$ and the fact that Emily's confession about the photos she took was a reflected memory was a disappointment. I like an alpha male and wanted to see Phin defend Emily more. I really felt the book could have been longer to show that. It was still a nice read with my complaints. Enjoy!
Highly entertaining, sweetly sexy, emotionally thrilling and action packed romantic journey filled with so much undeniable passion..... page-turner that was so hard to put down.
Phin Younger extremely successful Lawyer has found his perfect match in every way in Emily Lassiter even though neither of them is looking for forever.... loved every heart pounding and heart warming moment.
I'm not surprised that I liked this book. They all so far have been enjoyable. In this one we have Phin and Emily. I felt bad for Emily. I can't imagine having to deal with a brother like that. Thankfully in the end he got his act together. Of course it was great that Emily & Phin were together in the end too.
Holy Cheeseballs! MC was a perfect Mary Sue, and she works her way into every person’s heart. Her brother, the juvenile delinquent, even comes around in the end. Stupid misunderstanding at the end was contrived. I think this author just might not be my cuppa.
If men really cannot have business meetings with women without getting so turned on they can barely resist jumping over the desk and ravishing them, as characters in this book feel, then maybe the Saudi Arabians are right and we should all wear burqas. Disgusting.
I really hate giving 2-star ratings, especially on a book that if it had a better editor would be a good book.
The story is good, a mostly new take on the older sibling raising a younger sibling idea. Spoilers in the issues.
The issues: 1. The timeline. I know the justice system is not speedy, but the timeline doesn't make sense. The brother is wheel man for a hold up that lands him in jail AND the guy who actually does the crime assaults the attendant so the charges are higher than just being the wheelman. He's also skipped school to do that. Emily talks about how her brother's school called and said he'd might have to repeat the 11 grade if things don't change. The "if things don't change" part suggests theirs still time for him to do that. Later in the book, it's turning from summer to fall. Also, after Emily raises the money to get him out of detention, he continues to skip school? Is he skipping summer school? Also, her brother's in the detention center for about a month according to the time that passed stated in the book
2. We get it, Emily is dyslexic and can't read. I know it's a plot point, but the number of times it's brought up is repetitive beyond reason and multiple times in any scene related to it. Also, the fact no one picks up on it, is unrealistic for people who work in legal aid.
3. So Phone, the Legal Aid lawyer and the books love interest, has a nemesis. Or rather he's someone's nemesis. The storyline adds a little more interest into the story, makes the stakes a little higher because the other guy could make it hard for Emily's brother to get a pleadeal. Well, the story goes nowhere. It's dropped hints from the beginning and then... Nothing. There's no consequences, there's no anything, it's just wrapped up. No punishment for the nemesis just not taken seriously. Also, the ethical dilemma isn't there because Phone is the Brother's lawyer, not Emily's and therefore Emily is not his client.
4. So Emily was a model until she got sick with pneumonia and quit because she decided it's not worth her health. Okay, I buy that to a point. My issue is that Emily is ashamed that she's doing tasteful nudes for sleezey ex. Yes, doing full on nudes might kill a mainstream modeling career, but most models will have at least a couple of tasteful nudes in their portfolio because it gives the idea of a blank canvas.
💕A public defender finds himself with no defense against love‼:-) September 6, 2018 Format: Kindle Edition 👍This was a good story with a bevy of likable characters,🔥 heat, 💕 romance, some teenage bravado and a heroine with a learning disability! Emily the heroine is just about too good and long suffering to be believed, but she's a perfect match for Phin, an attorney who has chosen defending financially strapped underdogs over a more lucrative career. Both the hero and heroine have sad backstories that added a nice depth to their characters. Josh, the teenage brother that Emily is raising, is the catalyst that brings the couple together, yet he is also the reason Phin tries to maintain his distance from Emily despite his visceral, instant attraction. A bit complicated, but the dilemma adds a nice bit of adversity and gives Sterling, the villain of the piece, a means to try to sabotage Phin's career.
If you love rooting for a downtrodden heroine who needs a prince charming stat then this could be a good fit. Be prepared for some steam along with the romance. Although it's part of a series built around the hero's family, this book can easily be read as a standalone. No cliffhanger for the couple but most of the epilogue is a set-up for the next book in the series about Phin's youngest sister Lucy.
I read a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest review.
If you haven’t read the prologue, it is at the beginning of this book. Emily Lassiter is her sixteen year old brother Josh’s guardian. She did not finish high school and used to be a model. Now she is a waitress at a diner. Her brother has been hanging around the wrong crowd and skipping school. She gets a call from the police that her brother has been arrested. She finds out that he was the driver for his best friend who stole some high end items at a store. He is assigned Phin Younger as his attorney. Phin wants to help, but Josh acts like the world is against him. It was so sad to see how angry he has gotten since he was a sweet, young boy. Phin is very attracted to Emily, but feels he should not do anything about it yet as she is his client. Plus he has an enemy from his past that is an attorney too that is out to discredit him. Phin is hot and cold with Emily which confuses her. Emily does not have a lot of self confidence since she had to drop out of school to take care of her brother. It is heartbreaking at times how Emily tries to do so much for her brother and he seems so unappreciative. Phin has never had a long term relationship and tends to keep to himself until Emily comes along. I loved the times when Phin and Emily were together. I enjoyed the book and encourage you to read the book. I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader’s Copy of this book.
Ever since their mother died, Emily has done whatever she could to take care of her brother Josh, and it hasn’t been easy. He skips school and hangs with the wrong crowd, but when he gets arrested for robbery Emily doesn’t know what to do. Her job as a waitress barely pays the bills and they have no choice but to accept help from the public defender, Phin Younger. When straight-laced, serious, socially awkward Phin meets Emily he can't stop thinking about the gorgeous, compassionate, determined woman. But dating a client would be unethical and he needs to focus on Josh's case.
The early copy I read of this book is another heartfelt, steamy, terrific story. This is an author who really knows how to create a story that catches a reader's attention and characters that capture her heart. I loved both Phin and Emily, and I loved them together, and even the push and pull and Phin's hot and cold act were delicious low-angst entertainment. If you’re looking for sweet with your sexy and a captivating story with tons of heart, you’ll love Phin and Emily's story.
*I reviewed this book freely and voluntarily, having made no commitment to provide a review and receiving no compensation of any kind from any source for this review.
When Emily's younger brother is arrested, his public defender, Phin, comes to mean the world to Emily. But, Emily has a secret that has made her wary to trust, and more insecure than the average person. Phin is a standoffish, but excellent attorney. He fights for the downtrodden, and Emily's brother fires him up. The kid made one mistake and Phin would hate to see it ruin his entire life and future. He never expected to fall in love with his client's beautiful older sister, and he doesn't know what to do with his feelings, as he doesn't do relationships, afraid to extend himself in that way.
I liked the premise of All I Want is You, but the execution is a tad lacking for my tastes. I never connected to either Emily or Phin because there's not a whole lot there to grasp onto either within themselves or between them. And my God, their miscommunication issues were mind-boggling! During their big fight and breakup I nearly gave myself whiplash trying to follow their dialogue, as it was ridiculously stupid and back and forth. Sigh...
Still, this wasn't horrible, just boring and not particularly outstanding, so 3 stars is probably fair.
I received an ARC via Hidden Gems Books for an honest review.
After reading endless romances where the H is cocky and super-macho or a billionaire, I found Phin Younger to be a refreshing change. A public defender, Phin certainly isn't rich, and although he has a good heart, he is socially awkward and unsure of himself. The h, Emily, is beautiful, but that point wasn't beaten to death. Emily has her share of problems--struggling financially to take care of herself and her younger brother, a teenager who's become rebellious and gotten himself into a lot of legal trouble. On top of this, Emily has dyslexia and is struggling to complete her GED since she'd dropped out of high school to take care of her brother after their mom's death.
Unlike some romances where the H and h are in bed within the first two chapters of the book, the romance between Phin and Emily has a slow build-up, one that feels natural given the self-esteem issues that both of them have. But it's well worth the wait as the reader can see how their feelings for each other deepen.
One minor complaint is that the ending seemed a little rushed to me, but everything was tied up in the epilogue, so I wasn't left wondering if the couple truly had a HEA.
This was a very satisfying read, one which I recommend.
I have loved all the Younger's but Phin has a special place in my heart. I was drawn in from the very first chapter of this book. There was just something about Emily that pulled at me. You can tell from the very first chapter that she is such a strong women who has been dealt so many hard blows. She just wants to succeed but everything seems to be against her.In the next chapter we meet Phin. He is such a sweet guy who is really in my opinion trying to save the world because he could not save his mom. When you put Phin and Emily together it is like taking two broken pieces and making them whole again. I loved everything about this book from the story line right down to all the characters. Getting to visit a bit with all the Younger's from the other books made this book that much more special. I cannot wait to see what this author has in store for Lucy.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I really liked Phin, I especially liked that he wasn't your typical hero, he was socially awkward, abrupt and struggled to have friendships. I didn't always understand his decisions and felt at times his character was a bit disjointed. Both he and Emily had baggage and self doubt which here and there I struggled with because I just wanted them to see things the way I did, a couple of times I stopped reading as I just wanted to shake some sense into them. Emily as a character I did occasionally struggle with, but I really liked that even though she was riddled with self doubt, she was still a kind, caring and loving person, I especially liked how she showed her true inner strength towards the end.
I eagerly signed up to receive an ARC from Hidden Gems and to leave an honest review as I love the Younger family, however i didn't feel this was on par with the others at times, so I'm scoring it 3.75 stars.
In a life where every day is a full-time challenge to survive, Emily has enough on her plate, but when her brother is arrested, her world falls apart. Coming to the rescue is Phil Younger, her brother's court-appointed lawyer. Two emotionally damaged people find in each other a level of attraction they weren't expecting, and whilst a relationship isn't against the rules, it is frowned upon until such time as the case has been completed. With an old enemy breathing over his shoulder, Phil is more than cautious in his wooing of Emily, but inevitably their meetings become public knowledge. The book is well written with a good storyline. I felt that the author was uncomfortable writing the bedroom scenes, as they were at odds with the rest of the story. Nevertheless, it was an enjoyable romance, a standalone, with a happy conclusion. I received a copy of this book through Booksprout and this is my honest and voluntary review.
All I Want is You tells the story of Phin and Emily. It is the third book in the Younger series but it can be read as a stand-alone. Phin, is a lawyer who takes on the case of Josh, Emily’s younger brother. Emily, is a waitress who has been raising her younger brother, Josh for the last four years. He’s now in some trouble and Emily has to turn to Phin for help. Phin is put in the position of wanting to help but also really wanting to be with Emily. They are both drawn to each other from the start but have their own personal issues to deal with as well as their circumstances to get through in order to be together.
This was a sweet and romantic and just all around great story. I really loved Emily, Phin and even Josh and can’t wait to read more from this series. I received this book in exchange for an honest review.
One incredible slow burn romance that is tender, sweet, smoldering and way to good! I recently found Iris Morland and I have to say I have been hooked on her writing style. Her books are pure romantic and beautifully written with unforgettable characters and plots that make me swoon!
All I Want Is You is so sweet...like chocolate dipped strawberries. Its decadent and and beautiful. This particular romance called to my heart with our heroine who is utterly beautiful but who struggles in a way I wasn't expecting but definitely appealed to me. I loved this unique twist and our hero, was so right for her and was smart and kind and so perfect for her. I fell head over heels for this story right from the start.
All I Want Is You gets an ENDEARING FIVE SOFT GOLDEN STARS!!
I think this is my favorite book by B.B. Justin gets the job that Remi thought she was going to get and that gives her one more reason to hate him. When they are forced to work together in an account, or they lose it, they will be forced to deal with their past. She has never been able to get past her best friend competing cutting her out of his life one day during high school. The reason he did what he did is heartbreaking, but he had no other choice. Just when he thinks things are getting better, the rain fur her hatred shows up and he has to work even harder. When her eyes are opened completely to what he was going through when they were younger, will she be able to move past the hurt or will it make her hate him even more? This was a really good story and their chemistry was off the charts.
All I Want is You by Iris Morland is a novel in her Love Everlasting series and book three in The Youngers.
Emily Lassiter is a young woman who works hard to make ends meet. She´s waitressing, and sometimes modeling. She´s the guardian for her teenage brother who sceams trouble. And this trouble leads her to Phin Younger. Phin is a public defender. He believes in giving chances to underprivileged. He´s a bit socially awkward and in his family he´s the odd sibling out. Both are lonely and drawn to each other. But the one thinks he´s benaeth the other, while the other one risks his job.
All I Want is You is a romantic and sweet lovestory with a few twists and turns. The next book is My One and Only, Lucy Younger´s story.
Phin just might be the Younger sibling whose story I’ve been most looking forward to. There’s something about the aloof, brainy lawyer that called to me. I knew it was going to take a very special woman to break through his defences. I think Emily fits the bill perfectly. The push-me/pull-you dance these two led us on while they were deciding whether or not a relationship was worth the risks nearly drove me batty. But it brought me to tears to see how little either one of them believed in themselves. Neither one could see the amazing individual within themselves that everyone else knew and loved. And thanks to the snippet at the end of this, I’m already looking forward to Lucy’s story. I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book.
When a down on her luck former model and current waitress, named Emily Lassiter, meets Phin Younger, the public defender assigned to her little brother, falling in love is the last thing on either of their minds. He wants to maintain his professionalism, and isn't looking for a commitment. She thinks that guys only want one thing from her, and it isn't love. She also has a secret that she is sure will drive any decent guy away from her. Can these two find a way to be together through all of their insecurities and miscommunications? I really loved this book. I felt really connected to Emily and Phin, and was rooting for them to be together. I didn't want the story to end.... I guess I need to go read the other books in this series.
Iris Morland wrote a beautiful romantic story about the struggles of Emily Lassister trying to support her brother Josh on a waitress salary and not her beauty by modelling. Her brother Josh, hangs around the wrong crowd and get then arrested. Phin Younger a genius who is socially awkward is the court appointed lawyer for Josh. He is instantly attracted to Emily and tries to help Emily and Josh. Emily and Phin characters are well developed with insecurities and flaws. Their storyline deals with learning disabilities, bullying and the justice system. All I Want Is You is a beautiful love story that I highly recommend reading.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
love how Iris Morland weaves a storyl ine. This is no exception. She gives us a female character who is strong but only sees her own short comings - can't read, can't keep her brother out of trouble, can't make money. She knows she is beautiful but it can be a hindrance. Phin Younger is a public defender who has felt he never really fit in with his family, his classmates, at work. He is good at what he does but he lacks interpersonal skills. Both the main characters in this book are struggling to see that their shortcomings aren't what makes them who they are its what and how they treat people that counts. The story does have a HEA but there are some missteps along the way. I was given this book for an honest voluntary review.
Emily was raising her younger brother, Josh. She was dyslexic and unable to read. She supported him by waitressing. It was exhausting work. It didn't help that Josh was influenced by a bad friend to drive the get-away car after his friend stole very expensive perfumes. In his panic to escape, Josh drove far too fast, was stopped by the Police and taken into custody. Emily sobbed. She raged. Josh was rude and surly . Phin was a lawyer helping children who got themselves into trouble. He was a lonely man eho had not dated for years while focussing on his legal studies. Phin fell in love with Emily. He was very learned with tons of books. She couln't read. A very romantic story, although it was a bit rushed at the end. Recommended.
Phin Younger is a state defense attorney who is smart and excellent at what he does, but he's also lonely. When Emily Lassiter walks into the courtroom he is overwhelmed. She's the most beautiful woman he's ever seen, but he's also the sister of his client and he's got an old colleague that's looking for a way to tarnish his reputation.
This was a really cute story. I thought Phin was great and I loved him with his family and his coworker. Emily was trying her hardest to not use her looks to get ahead, but she was falling so far behind that she had to make a choice and it fit in so well with her character and her desperate need to save her brother.
Phin and Emily are adorable! I love these characters. They are full of heart and hope even if they don't always know it. The story is heart-wrenching at times especially between Emily and her younger brother who has made some mistakes and requires Phin, a lawyer, to help. For such good people, they all seem to think that they aren't worth the blessings of family, loyalty and love.
I did not read the first two books in this series and it did not hinder the experience of this book. However, it did make me want to read them to get the whole Younger story.
I voluntarily reviewed this after receiving a free copy.
A second chance? This book is about finding love under truly unexpected circumstances. Emily is her 16-year-old brother Josh’s legal guardian. A former model, she is now working as a waitress in a diner. Scared about the turn to the worse he has taken, and is horrified when the police notify her of his arrest. Phin Younger is his court-appointed attorney is dealing with Emily on a regular basis. Ups and downs along with twists and turns will keep your attention, or you’ll have to go back a ways (my own experience). Great characters in this unusual “romance” that is beautifully told by Ms. Morland. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
Excellent contemporary romance about two individuals who have in their own way struggled through life. Phin is an intellectual who has isolated himself even from his family. He is a public defender so he can help people try to straighten themselves out in a broken legal system. Emily is a beautiful young woman trying to care for her teenage brother. Once he gets arrested she turns to Phin for help. Unfortunately, they both have unresolved issues from their pasts. The author wrote a unique love story that is well worth reading. I received a complementary copy of this book via Hidden Gems and chose to write a review. I look forward to reading other books by this author.
Phin is a charactered that hard to love for the first half of the book. The hot and cold treatment he gives to Emily would make anybody crazy! Emily has spent most of her young life trying to raise her brother and when he ends up arrested Phin is the attorney that is trying to help him. But both there lives are so different. Emily is just struggling to survive, and she has a secret she has been holding back.
Phin wants to not crave Emily but he can’t help himself. But the love they share is too strong to i gnome so they have to fight for their happy ending! Fall in love with another Younger! Even though he’s not that easy to love 😉
