Camden

I am intelligent, unassuming, and the son of two murdered parents.
I’m calculating, damaged, and seek revenge.
I’ll do whatever it takes to further my agenda, even if it means seducing my way into a bed I don’t belong.
Anything to make the ones who’ve hurt me pay.
My name is Camden Pearson.
I am focused, fierce, and power-hungry.
The youngest of four brothers.
People assume I’m the baby, but I grew up a long time ago.

I feel like every passing moment is a drop in the bucket that will fill and overflow one day. That bucket is your wealth. The goddamn future. I want mine so full, it drowns out everyone around me.
Until then, I drop, drop, drop.

I was expecting too much by the story of Camden, the youngest son of Pearson. And in the end -although I liked his story, I realised that the star of the Four Sons has been Nixon... He was the one that corrected everything in the end and he satisfied my bloodthirsty needs hahaha.

So, we know since Nixon's book that bright and beautiful Camden did not have an easy childhood. He had suffered abuse and he had suffered it quietly since he was a self-contained boy with a mother that did not care and with a father that he was too stupid to realise what was going on and how rotten his friends were.

So, Camden’s book is a story of revenge. Camden has grown up and now it is time to fight back and destroy the tormentors of his childhood. He will not hesitate to use people and to blackmail a woman that he wanted since he was a kid and she was his babysitter. He will not hesitate to tear down her engagement and her career.

I loved Camden’ character. He may have been broken as a child, but he fights back. He has a strong character and he is overconfident.
Poppy is not likeable in the beginning, but her character develops as the story proceeds. Especially when you learn about her childhood story, you cannot really dislike her.

Genre: Taboo Romance
Type: Book 4 of 4 from Four Sons series
POV: First Person - Dual
Rating:

Camden Pearson was the youngest in the family. Due to his age, people tend to underestimated him. Quietly, his calculated mind concocted a plan of a revenge long time coming. But Poppy Beckett might end up ruining everything he worked for.

“You like it when I mind fuck you, baby. You wish I’d fuck your pussy too.”

I’ve always have a soft spot for Camden after learning about his past in the first book, so naturally I adored him. I liked how in control he was with his vision and ambition. However, I’d love to see more of his vulnerabilities.

My life was perfectly fine this time last week. Everything going as planned. He is not part of the plan.

In a way Poppy and Camden’s life mirrored each other. She lived behind a facade and it was stifling her, until she took chances with him.

His steel-blue eyes are hard and unforgiving. When they lock on mine, I see into the depths of him. Bitter. Hateful. Angry. Soulless.

I enjoyed the story overall. I like when characters put their heart in what they wanted. I wasn’t very happy with the direction the story was going towards the end, but I’m glad the epilogue made up for it.

Camden is a story of retribution and moving on. It is the final book in the Four Sons standalone series.

Books in the series:

It would have been 5 stars had it been a longer book. Still, Camden’s story was riveting and I just realized that I really like K Webster, not only because her mind is insane but also because she’s such a gifted writer. I mean, 60 books and counting? Sheesh.

MY THOUGHTS:
K Webster has yet again produced another great original story, your always guaranteed to lose all sense of time and space when you read her books. I read this in the one sitting and devoured every page.

This is my first older female/ younger male romance and I thought the reversal would bother me but because of Camden’s status and maturity for his age, the year gap between them never really became an issue for them or their peers.

THE CHARACTERS
I loved Camden’s cocky confidence and dirty mouth, he has an air of arrogance about him but it is so damn sexy. His vulnerability makes him all the appealing. His blunt honesty was refreshing.

Poppy appears standoffish and snobby at first but once Camden broke down her defences, embracing her resistance she was sweet and supportive to Camden.

OVERALL
This is a faced paced, sexy read. It is well written with plenty of witty dialogue and although the story contains sensitive issues such as sexual abuse it was not delivered in an overly emotional or dramatic way and focussed more on the retribution and healing aspect rather than the details of the abuse itself. It was very tactfully conveyed.

I loved the epilogue and being the final book in the standalone series, K Webster gives a satisfying conclusion to the Four Sons stories.

At 18 years old, Camden Pearson is the youngest son yet he is hyperfocused on his education and long-range career plans. Though he seems to have it all for a man his age, Camden’s past has a stronghold on his motivations. Determined to succeed, he won’t be denied.

“I want to pull everyone in and make them mine. Mine to do my bidding. Mine to control. Mine to conquer.”

Poppy Beckett learned early in life about appearances and how to please her family. Though Poppy is smart, she is also unhappy and that leaves her vulnerable to manipulation. As she learns more about the risks involved, Poppy also embraces the strength she always had and forges ahead.

“Camden has the power not only to poke holes in my heart, but to suck every bit of happiness I have left out of me.”

Fueled by revenge, Camden is a master manipulator and uses all resources available to complete his mission. While Camden and Poppy have known each other for many years, he views her as a means to the end. To his surprise, Poppy is much more than a pretty face she begins to complicate his feelings. Together, there is a combustible push-pull attraction that draws these two together despite knowing how destructive they could be.

“You’re so fucking juicy,” he growls. “My finger is soaked because of you, dirty girl. I thought you hated me. Yet here you are drenching me.”

Told in dual POV, Camden’s past is brought to clearer terms and these memories underscore his need for justice. With Poppy, her character gains dimension and she becomes a formidable and a solid partner for Camden. As the plot unfolds, Camden and Poppy head in a certain direction but there are a few twists that propel the story in true K Webster fashion.

As the final book in the Four Sons series, Camden evolves into his own and continues to have the support of his brothers. In starting this story, I definitely had certain expectations for Camden. While Camden is young, he exuded so much sex appeal and confidence that the pages sizzled. However, I was disappointed in a big choice he made. Thankfully, Poppy and another character balanced what was needed.

Camden a sexy read with a taboo element, but it’s also about healing and letting go. For those familiar with the Four Fathers and Four Sons series, Camden won’t disappoint. After all, he is a Pearson.

This is book four and I'm not happy because it means no more from this crazy bunch.

Every son has a hidden something that we've discovered along the way but Camden has managed to fly under the radar which is a mistake many have made with him.

Nixon was always the one that I felt the most but Camden has taken a big chunk of my heart. He's a thinker, always watching looking for a weakness trying to find a way in. His master plan is now in play, watching his scheme unfold was fun to read.

A fantastic book to end on but i can't help but hope for more.

Camden by Author K. Webster is book four in the Four Sons series. It is a spicy and dirty, enemies-to-lovers story with an expected side of the forbidden.

“Close your mouth, Poppy,” he growls, “before I put something in it.”

The once babysitter and the boy she used to babysit. Now she’s the engaged woman and he is the calculating man with a plan to steal and deceive.

“Careful, Beckett,” he sneers. “If you fall, I’m going to catch you. And once you’re in my arms, I won’t let go.”

I knew from the start that Camden was going to be the silent, but deadly brother. He was too smart. Too introverted. Too analytical. He was the one to watch out for, because he was so unassuming. Poppy, although a staunch up-and-coming politician, was the perfect prey for Camden. I loved their chemistry and their push and pull. I also loved the crazy twists that Author K. Webster drove us into on the road to revenge.

“Hate can be just as hot as love.”

Camden was a hot finish to the Four Sons series, one that is sure to bring a satisfied completion.

Way back in the FOUR FATHERS series, we met the youngest Pearson. It was clear that his story was going to be a tough one, but that boy had something about him that had us all hooked. He was smooth, SO smart and already a fan of the ladies. Fast forward to now, and the end of the FOUR SONS series, and CAMDEN is still all that, but WAY MORE!!! Gahhhhh!!!! He is just so intense, and demanding and hot as fuck!!!!! K Webster finished this series off perfectly, and i can’t wait to go back to the beginning and read it all again.

***5 ‘Always the Plan’ Stars***

I have to say the warning in the beginning of the book will put you in the right frame of mind before diving into Camden, because it sure as shit did for me and I enjoyed every Pearson-esque moment. The good, the bad, the ugly, the dark, the smexy and the sweet, it was all kinds of goodness as the baby of the family finally showed us all that not only is he NOT a baby anymore, but also just how much of a Pearson he really is.

It was hard not to adore Cam, even when his manipulative, soulless abyss side came out to play. He is determined, detailed, way to smart for his own good ~ which just proves how much of a Pearson he really is ~ and mixed into that is a good heart, even when his head tells him to ignore it. Poppy was a lot of fun and I really loved her. Determined, stubborn, but at the same time soft and compassionate. She drove a bit craycray, but considering everything, I understood and I loved the woman she became. Their journey is all kinds of fun. A battle of wills is putting it mildly, but not only did they come out stronger at the end of the crazy ride, but proved they were a perfect fit for each other in every way that counted.

I hate to say this, but I actually enjoyed the Four Sons more than the Four Fathers. Both are awesome, but Four Sons just had that extra something that just did it for me. Do I have an absolute favorite? Not really. All four books, and boys, are so unique that they stand on their own in all the best ways. Even though this is the last one, there were a few twists that surprised me, but in the end I loved how everything worked out.

5 Four Sons Stars!

K Webster has blown the last book out of the water with such an epic finale I couldn't even fathom.

Camden is a broken and angry young man on a quest for revenge and he will stop at nothing to get it. Wow this was one hell of a story. I loved the slight edge of darkness K brought to the character along with fiercely insatiable and sexy side. What a delicious combo!

Poppy was an excellent match to Camden and the way they danced around each other and the build up was well done. She wasn't one dimensional and boring, she had many layers to her including a fun and feisty side.

Lots of emotions, conflict and a well woven story thst tied off the last knots of the Pearsons' tale nicely. I even found myself in tears during this one, it had alot of power and a driven and perfectly paced plot.

Some would say I have something incredibly wrong with me because I always thought Nixon would be my favorite and I would have agreed. But the shocker is Camden is tied with Nixon!

Camden is a whole other kind of animal. His drive and determination is everything. But hidden in the depths is a darkness so deep, it's scary. Learning what pushes him was heart breaking and made me want to put on warriors clothes and fight for the Pearson clan.

Cunning, intelligent, and everything his brothers are too, Camden is a force like no other. Especially with Pearson blood in his veins.

Four Sons might be completed but these men will rule long after the pages are turned.

The baby of the family, finally, but Camden proves he is anything but a boy.

Four Pearson brothers each with their own dark desires and dark side. Camden is the youngest of the family, the baby, the one the other brothers shelter but Camden is now a man, a man with a revenge plot and a man who is as devious and even more calculated than his other brothers.

Years Camden has plotted his revenge, bided his time and now he is in college he sets to put his plan into motion against the man who touched him as a boy.

"The monsters are real, they don't come from under the beds they come straight through the bedroom door, sneaky and quick. While no one is watching".

Poppy is nothing more than a tool in Camden's plan and can get him what he needs, she was once his baby sitter, a friend of the family, now he is the one making the rules but even the best laid out plans can fail when love sneaks through the cracks you thought you had filled with darkness.

Another dark romance. The whole series has been exciting and unpredictable. I love that these four authors came together and brought there own spin on each of the brothers like they did in The Four Fathers. Brilliant series for any reader who likes there books a little on the edge and the dark side.

Arc received for review purposes.

Camden by K. Webster is book Four in the Four Sons series. This is the story of Poppy Beckett and Camden Pearson. I haven't yet read the previous books, so for me this was a standalone book.
Poppy used to babysit Camden when they were younger so they have a history. But Camden is out for revenge and Poppy will be one of the tools that he uses. But their feelings start to grown and Camden starts to learn that Poppy means more to him them his plans.
Another great story by Ms. Webster....couldn't put it down!!

I felt for Camden the most in these stories. He is the most understood child and now man in all of them. Now we have him all grown up and getting his revenge for everything he thinks his father ignored.

This story is about redemption, finding love where you least expect it and finding to forgive yourself when you think you are at fault for something that is not at all your fault.

I loved this story so much!

He may be the youngest of the brothers, but trust me, he doesn't act as such. He will make you forget it. He will make you regret ever double crossing him. But most of all, he will make those that hurt him in the past hurt as much as they did him.

I had overlooked Camden when i read Eric Pearson's story in the Four Father series, and when it comes to his story, it was more than i could have ever imagined. He is intelligent. Strong, and cunning. But most of all, he has been working on his revenge for the past 10 years. This book was totally worth it. From start to finish and considering that we have the K Webster twist with the taboo aspect of having the babysitter become the face of his revenge.

Needless to say that i absolutely loved this book. Loved how it was written, and absolutely loved how Camden was anything but weak when it comes to being his father's son. It was the best way to end this series, and with a bang it did.

After reading the Four Fathers Series, i was over the freaking moon that we were getting Four Sons Series!!

These books must be read in order and must be read after the Four Fathers Series. So if you haven't read them Jump to it otherwise

1. You'll be lost

2. You're missing out.

3. YOU'RE MISSING OUT!!!

K Webster has blown the last book out of the water with such an epic finale to this fabulous series.

Camden is a broken and angry young man on a quest for revenge and he will stop at nothing to get it. Wow this was one hell of a story. I loved the slight edge of darkness K brought to Camden's character as in previous books he always came across as the baby of the family with a softer side. And knowing what he went through as a child and finding out what his father did without him knowing really expanded this story. I was glad that he ultimately got his revenge and also the girl.

Poppy was an excellent match to Camden and the way they danced around each other and the build up was well done. She wasn't one dimensional and boring, she had many layers to her including a fun and feisty side.

Lots of emotions, conflict and a well woven story that has beautifully concluded the Pearson brothers stories.

This series is not to be missed!!

With her usual flair of doing things in an offbeat, rousing and intense way Mrs. Webster closes Four Sons Series spectacularly !

Camden , is the golden Pearson brother and his story is the most heartbreaking and emotionally charged of the series as it deals with the taboo subject of child abuse . The way, this author handles that plotline is perfect and the resolution is both gratifying and uplifting. Nevertheless, this is a wonderful love story that hits all my boxes as it is romantic, with hot sexy scenes and fun. Also, and I see fitting that we again see Eric Pearson , in a different light , through the eyes and memories of his youngest child and all comes full circle in the most enjoyable way.

Camden the story is Addictive. Well-conceived. Provoking. Unconventional .
Camden the hero of the book is the eye of a hurricane... Calm, masterful, adept, polished, clever ; Poppy the heroine is his perfect counterpart, in every way possible. We also get to see all the Pearson brothers, Trevor , their lives and loved ones. This book left me content and delighted in knowing the future of all of them.

I won't lie , it is hard saying goodbye and letting go of these characters. Our journey together has been an unpredictable, thrilling and fun journey of 8 unforgettable books in total. I will miss them all. For you to understand and enjoy this book , you must read first the Four Father's Series and then the Four Sons Series.

Don't walk , run and get this book ! You are going to love it!!

I received an ARC of this book for my honest review.

Now we’ve finally got our youngest Pearson – Camden. I have been expecting a lot from Camden at first, I was looking at a cunning calculating bastard I thought and it turns out Camden actually has another side.

Camden is expected to be the future president of America. He never speaks too much and he uses his smile and charms to fix anything that is blocking his way. Camden is still a university student and he needs some practical experience in politics. He went for Poppy. Poppy works in a court and this will definitely help Camden to learn a lot.

Poppy is Tampa’s golden girl, famous and pretty. Her father is the sheriff in town and who also happens to be a child abuser and sexual assault. When Camden was young, he always goes to Camden’s bedroom and does something dirty on Camden. Although Camden didn’t tell anyone but Nixon knows because one time he bumps right into them. After Camden grow up, he slowly understands he needs a detailed plan to make the sheriff lose everything in his life.

Anyway, Camden didn’t aim to destroy Poppy but to her father and her fiance. But somehow ended up falling in love with Poppy. I really love the story a lot and Camden is something different among the Pearson sons. I think Poppy and Camden make a beautiful couple and they are strong for each other. 4.7 stars for sure, and highly recommended reading the whole series.

This series is a MUST!!
It would be wise to read the four fathers series as well as the 4 Brothers series in order to get a better perspective on each brother. Each book unveiled another layer about the Pearsons and what a treat for the senses!
The authors Kerry Duke, Jessica D. Hollyfield, Dani René and K. Webster collaborated flawlessly to work their magic and give us 4 stories of family, love and redemption!
Except this brand of family values is a twisted and devilishly dirty story!!
This is the last installment, Camden’s story.
Oh my goodness!!
He’s the best and the worst of everyone in the family!
He’s the youngest, the quietest, the most calculating and he’s out for revenge!
We’ve met Camden throughout the series. He’s the baby of the family and he suffered unimaginable things thanks to the world his kinky daddy dearest in Pearson brought him up in!
What’s Camden like?
He’s determined, calculated and dirtier than all his brothers!
His recipe for that revenge manifests itself into a kinky, twisted and sinfully delicious treat!!
Fast paced easy read, I devoured this beauty in one sitting as we saw Camden’s iron clad exterior crack.
His need for revenge reveals his pain and the revelation of the extent of the horrors he endured.
Can he ever trust again?
Is Poppy friend or foe?
There were some elements of the story that were not realistic but it didn’t take away from enjoying it.

I highly recommend you read Four Fathers first. Then go read Nixon, Hayden and Brock before you read this story. Like seriously these books are so good you just don’t wanna miss out on any of them.

I certainly got more than I expected with Camden. He’s the youngest and the quietest of the sons. He will do anything to get the revenge he craves.
I really liked Poppy. I was so rooting for her.

An excellent finale to this series. This book is faultless and I totally loved it.

Each author has shown how immensely talented they are to be able to write these books together. I can’t wait to read more from each of them.

What had I just read? How can this story end so fast? Dont get me wrong - it was a GREAT journey with Four Great authors thru Four Fathers and Four Sons Series. This book gave us closure That was unexpected in The least. Yet it was Like everyone needed That and I Loved That.
Camden is The youngest form Pearson children. But I find him The most damaged and complicated form all brothers. Be on The look out for your open mouth so you could close it when That Time comes.
Poppy, That girl nad it in herself to be a Great pair/match to Camden. She was a fire That was needed There.
Loved That Series and if those authors decide about anything else Like That Im going for it!

I have enjoyed all of these books. I think it was so cool to do a series like this where each book is written by a different author and a different genre. There’s definitely something for everyone! This is the fourth book in the Four Sons series by various authors, this one was written by K. Webster. First let me say that I absolutely loooooove the hottie on the cover of this book. My only complaint about Camden is it pissed me off how easily he was willing to forget his plans for revenge. Not that I wanted him to hurt Poppy but he definitely should’ve went after the four scumbags, if not for himself then for all the other kids they’ve hurt. His decision was selfish and if Poppy hadn’t stepped up I would’ve been furious. Nixon is still my favorite Pearson son especially with what he helped Cam do at the end. Camden Pearson is the youngest son of Eric Pearson and the one who’s expected to do great things with his life. No one knew the pain and anger he was living with for years. Nixon knew a little bit of what Cam endured when he was just a kid but he had no clue that it wasn’t the first time and it wouldn’t be the last time his little brother was hurt. Say what you want about Eric but I personally loved how he went after Marshall Beckett and his talk with Cam. He may have been a huge dickhead but he did love his boys and he was a better parent than their Whore mother. Cam has been plotting his revenge for years against the man who hurt him but he needs to be careful because one day he will be the President. Poppy is 29 years old, a lawyer, and currently running for Lieutenant Governor. She’s also the daughter of a monster and she has no idea what kind of sick fuck her father and his friends really are. Her dream was to be a Geography teacher but they don’t make any money so instead she followed her father’s dream. Cam thought it would be a piece of cake to seduce Poppy and then destroy her father but he never counted on falling for her. Poppy knew Cam was using her for revenge against her dad she just didn’t know what her dad did to hurt him. In my opinion Poppy was weak as fuck and let her pussy lead her around. Her one redeeming quality was she stepped up and did the right thing by going to the newspaper when Cam lost his balls. * On a side note I thought it was funny how the Senator’s name was John Ham instead of Jon Hamm. Also I thought it was really odd that Cam’s extremely generous Grand dad was never mentioned before.

HERE’S A QUOTE FROM NIXON TO MARSHALL BECKETT : (He’s talking about Camden)
“ My brother will do no such thing. Because he’s innocent and pure. I, on the other fucking hand, will peel your skin off square by square and feed it to you until you write the goddamn letter. “
ANOTHER REASON I LOVE NIXON.

It’s the last of the series, but I just couldn’t anymore. The premise is broken, thus the story is broken.
Camden blackmails Poppy so she’ll make the connections he needs to further his political career: senator, mayor, police commissioner, etc.
So listen, it’s not difficult to meet these people. With Cam’s family business and wealth, he could easily get an appt with the Senator and Mayor. He’s wanted to be President since childhood - there are galas and events he could have been attending for years now, schmoozing and pressing palms and making connections. Again, with money, it’s not difficult. At all. Especially with the support of his brothers behind him.
I resent Cam for the fact he CLAIMS he has these goals and aspirations, but has done almost NOTHING to achieve them. Learning and doing well in school is a good start, but that’s not actively pursuing his goals. And he more than has the means. But nope, apparently it’s much easier to make this convoluted blackmail plan where he hurts people who’ve been kind and supported him since childhood...
The whole drama the first 40% the story was wrapped around? Beyond stupid.
And then there’s Poppy. She’s a milksop. Camden threatens, blackmails, and molests her; he drugs her and commits sexual acts upon her person while barely conscious or aware, taking blackmail photos. Oh, and he also threatens to publicly accuse her of sexual abuse back when she used to babysit him as a child... The fuck.
This is beyond offensive to those who’ve actually survived sexual abuse. False accusations oppress true victims from feeling like they can speak out, making them think no one will believe them.
Cam does all this to her, and Poppy be like: but he’s soooo handsome! I just can’t stop checking out his body.
Oh. My. God. Someone shoot her. Or me, for reading this as far as I did.
I admit, quitting at 40%, I very well may have missed something later revealed, but nothing makes the first half of this book ok.

Normally this is an author who's work I love (like My Torin which is STILL my favourite book of this year) or at least enjoy (like the quick, dirty taboo Lawn Boys). Sadly for me, this is a complete dud of a book.

Between the constant brand promotion of watches and cars, along with being told that Camden's suits are all custom made, I've also discovered that at 41% the hero is a nasty prick of a human being and the heroine has all the breaking strain of wet paper. She just constantly lets him walk all over her, even before . ARGH!!!!!

There is nothing that is grabbing my attention or making me want to read more, I just feel as though I'm wasting precious hours of my life. I'm a character driven reader, I hate both main characters so really am wasting my time trying to get anything from this story.

OK so being the curious cat that I am, I skipped a couple of chapters and skim read the last 3 or so. It did kind of pick up and Camden did start treating Poppy a lot better, but I just can't like a man who was willing to destroy an innocent woman just to get back at someone else.
