Antoine Griezmann is one of my favorite football players and I was super curious to find out more about his career. I got the book for Christmas and I kept myself from reading it considering the up-coming world cup. I thought it would be the perfect warm-up read to follow the world cup "parcours" of the French national team. I read the introduction on the day of the first French game and I somehow I decided to wait until the end of the tournament. I had the feeling that many elements of this book would be read differently depending on the outcome of the world cup. It was definitely the right decision - there could have been no better time to read this book than after the beautiful competition of the French national team. What a magic moment! I enjoyed the way Griezmann managed to give some deeper insights into his career and into his personal life. A truly interesting read about one of the greatest football players of our times!

I'm superstitious. I could've finished this book earlier, but it seemed like bad luck to do so before France's World Cup run ended. So now I can say I completed it on the day Antoine won the 2018 World Cup! Allez les bleus!
