Jilted bride Monica Blair can’t believe it when she wakes up next to a blue-eyed, smooth-talking cowboy in the middle of nowhere and with a ring on her finger. It had sounded like a great plan at the time. Get married, get revenge, and get her money back. So why is she cleaning out stables and trying to keep her hands off the hot cowboy helping her?
Ryder Nash would have bet his best Stetson that you’d never see him walk down the aisle. But when the city girl with pink-streaked hair and a frog tattoo hatches a plan to expose the conman who married his sister, no idea is too crazy. And even though Monica might be the worst rancher’s wife he’s ever seen, he can’t stop thinking about the wedding night they never had.
What was supposed to be a temporary marriage for revenge is starting to feel a little too real...

One Wedding, Two Brides by Heidi Betts is the first book of the new contemporary romance Fairy Tale Brides series. I picked this one up because it’s no secret I’m a fan of the whole fake dating trope but I also found out rather quickly that this one was absolutely hilarious!
The book begins with Monica Blair busting into the reception of her ex-fiance Matt and his new bride. But not only has she crashed the party she’s done it after consuming a whole bottle of champagne and wearing her wedding dress, you see Matt didn’t bother to break things off with Monica before he married someone else and she found out from the announcement in the paper.
Ryder Nash is the older brother of the bride who is having her reception interrupted so he does what any caring brother would do and rushes Monica out of the event. Being a gentleman Ryder tries to take Monica where ever she needs to go but her drunken rant has now turned into a plan and Ryder is at the heart of it. Monica proposes that she need revenge and she needs Ryder’s participation.
Now one may ask why would the brother of the new wife help a stranger get revenge on his sister’s new groom? Well, because Monica promises him 50k to marry her temporarily and Ryder really needs the cash to save his ranch and it doesn’t hurt a bit that Ryder’s curiosity is skyrocketing about the man his sister married.
As I already mentioned it didn’t take long at all with this book to begin laughing and laughing some more. But shortly after the laughs came I really began to just love both of the characters in this one. Now of course I couldn’t help but want Monica to get her revenge, especially after hearing the whole sober story about Matt and Ryder was the perfect man to cross her path in her moment of need as he went above and beyond the Prince Charming persona with his every move. I would warn that the romance happens at a fast pace for those that prefer a slower build but the chemistry is off the charts between the couple from day one. I’d definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a fast paced, humorous but still steamy romance!
I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley.
The summer weather is sweltering, the news more anxious by day. All I wanted was some sheer escapism, and this romance fit the bill.
The premise has been around for a while, and you pretty much have to accept it to get over the hump: what happens when our heroine (or our hero, or both) go to Las Vegas for whatever reason, get drunk, and wake up married to a total stranger.
Monica, our heroine, arrives in the first chapter drunk, wearing a wedding dress. She sashays into a Nevada wedding, clambers up onto the stage and proceeds to tell the puzzled, then aghast guests that this should have been her wedding, and "Matt the Rat" should have been her groom.
Ryder, brother of the bride, picks her up, carries her out, and they end up in Vegas, married, as he is desperate to find a way to save his ranch, which he intends to devote to equine therapy. A series of bad luck, like a tornado taking out his barn, has pushed him to the edge of losing it, and when Monica offers him fifty thousand dollars to invest in his ranch, he grabs the chance and even writes up a contract.
All to discover the next day (once Monica figures out who she is, who he is, and what happened) that the fifty Gs were stolen by Matt, and they have to get it back.
From there the game is on. Such a fun ride! Of course they are attracted to each other, and equally of course like chalk and cheese: he's a rancher, used to a conservative lifestyle. She's a high fashion photographer from Chicago, wilder in clothes and outlook.
How they come together, and what happens with Ryder's sister Josie, married to Matt the Rat, unravels with great pacing. My only complaint was about a single thread,, but everything else I thoroughly enjoyed, including Ryder's family, and the loving description of his horses.
The theme of marriage of convenient is a popular theme in romance novels, and I have my share reading those novels. However, I do not found this book particularly hold my interest. It feels dragging and boring. There is no character development, no chemistry between the hero and the heroine.
The layer/ plot does not hold my interest that much. There is a lot of farm animals involved though.
What a fun read this is! I loved it. When a disgruntled and very drunk jilted bride disrupts her now ex fiance's wedding reception, it's up to the brides brother Ryder to toss her over his broad shoulder and haul her out of there before she can do any more damage. Dressed in her wedding gown, and completely toasted she comes up with a plan to get even with her ex, while helping Ryder out as well. All they have to do is get married. Ryder isn't too sure until she makes an offer he can't turn down. His ranch is mid recovery from a tornado, money is tight which has set his dream of opening an equine therapy school in the barn he lost. With the money from Monica or Rapunzel as he calls her, he can get his barn repair, pay a few bills and lessen his stress. Only problem is that her slimy ex, who is now married to Ryder's sister took off with her 50k and she's broke. She's from Chicago and a photographer. She's got no way to pay Ryder, so Ryder pretty much takes it out of her hide. He's got no patience for a city girl, she's got no clothes, no shoes nothing. He's got her mucking stalls and pretty much like the manure she's cleaning up. Every time she tries to leave he snags her back. He hasn't told anyone they're married and when his mother catches wind, she insists they send them on a honeymoon. No coincidence they end up where her ex and his sister are, because Monica has a plan to get into his laptop and get proof he took her money. What she finds is so much more. By then Ryder realizes she's not lying about the money and when they're called home due to an emergency they leave together. These two have finally warmed up to each other. Took them long enough. There's so burn and slow burn.... when Ryder hits the igniter switch there isn't much to stop the two of them. It was great watching Monica warming up to ranch life and Ryder. Monica runs the whole gamut of emotions being embraced by not only his family but the whole town even though she tried hard to alienate them a little. She figures that after she gives Ryder his money he won't want her there. The story really takes off just past the half way point and it doesn't stop until the last page. I had a little trouble with Ryder at first, but Monica was a hoot, even in her worst moments. There are some good laughs couched into the storyline and these two really are a fairy tale come to life. Loved it. Loved Rumpy! Read the book! Heidi tells a great story...
advanced reader copy from NetGalley and Entangled for an honest review. All thoughts are my own.
I received One Wedding, Two Brides by Heidi Betts from Netgalley. This has no impact on my review, my thoughts are my own. I was in the mood for some wedding romance books and I was glad I heard about One Wedding, Two Brides by Heidi Betts through another blogger friend.
One Wedding, Two Brides by Heidi Betts was the first in her Fairy Tale Bride series. Monica Blair tries to crash her ex fiance's wedding reception due to circumstances that drove her to drink. The bride's brother ended up carrying her out and she makes a deal with him to get married. I don't want to spoil too much, but the book plot was clever and witty. I liked it for the most part, though I will admit I did not like Ryder Nash at first because of how he was towards Monica. He grew on me throughout the book though that was one of the main things I had against the book.
One Wedding, Two Brides was a really cute book and I really liked how everything wrapped up well in the end of it. It was fast paced. I was able to read it within three days. If you are looking for a wedding romance book, this is a really cute read! I also really liked the epilogue. Thank you Netgalley and publishers for giving me the chance to read this!
Loved this book! It is laugh out loud funny, emotional, and just plain entertaining. Nothing deep or angsty. Just lighthearted and filled with humor through witty banter and hilarious situations.
When Monica Blair reads about her fiance's upcoming nuptials to a woman who is not her she decides a little trip is in order. Showing up at his wedding in her own gown and more than slightly tipsy may not have been the best of plans but that's the least of her worries. The tall hunk of a cowboy who she apparently married during a trip to Vegas definitely takes top billing. No problem, a quick annulment should fix that. Ryder Nash, her ummm husband, isn't up for that. They have a deal and he plans on holding her to it. Now she's a city girl stuck on a ranch and incredibly attracted to her husband. This is not good!
It's been a while since I've read a book by Heidi Betts so I was so glad when I saw that she had a new book out.
I didn't read the blurb because I knew since it was by her I was going to read it but you can sort of figure some of the plot by the title. I knew going in that there was going to some upset, a wedding, any more then one bride.
I thought...this is going to be fun!
And it was. I ended up really enjoying the story. Right away I liked both Ryder and Monica. How could you not like him when he not only stopped a crazy woman from ruining his baby sisters wedding any more then what happened and then take care of the crazy woman.
A great guy right? I thought that too until he kept going on and on about the money promised to him. Of course without him doing that the book wouldn't have turned out the way it did but at times he bugged me about it.
Not to worry I did get over it and moved on. I love how these two worked together to bring down her ex all the while falling in love and not even knowing it. With all the Hallmark Christmas movies going on right now this ones romantic plot reminded me of the movies I was watching. This would make a perfect Hallmark movie. So much fun!
If you haven't yet tried Heidi Betts this is perfect time too. One Wedding, Two Brides is a wonderful story of romance and opening your eyes and seeing what's in front of you!
Monica was something she never thought she'd be...a jilted bride. And yet, when she wakes up, she's not alone and there's a ring on her finger, yeah, that finger. Her plan for revenge made complete sense then, but now, umm, she's having a hard time not ravishing her husband.
Ryder was positive he'd never walk down the aisle, but when a certain woman devises a plan to help his sister, he can't help but agree. It has everything to do with helping his sister though, not the woman with the frog tattoo and pink streaks in her hair. Right?
It's easy to see she isn't equipped to live the life of a rancher, but his heart and body doesn't care. He likes who she truly is and can't help but wonder if they've made the worst mistakes of their lives or if they were always meant to find each other.
Can Ryder and Monica adapt to their temporary arrangement? Will it last long enough to bring down the man that jilted her and married Ryder's sister instead? What happens after they accomplish their goal? Will that be the end of them? Or will they finally consummate their wedding night and make the marriage real in all ways?
One-click now and follow along as a swindled woman teams up with a man determined to do anything to protect his sister from the same fate.

I really enjoyed reading this book. This is the first book that I’ve read from Heidi Betts and i found it hilarious, entertaining and just a great read. Monica might have crashed her ex-fiancés wedding with the idea to expose him as the cheating rat face that he is but Monica got more than she bargained for that night. She ended up with the husband and a life she never imagined. Ryder might not have willing agreed to marry Monica but with the promise of fifty thousand dollars he was more than willing to marry her. What he did not expect was to fall in love with her and realize that yes he could use the money but the money is not as important then being with Monica. One Wedding, Two Brides was a fun addictive read! A must read!
***Received this ARC by NetGalley as an exchange for an honest review.
I had the honor of reading this early and loved it! Monica and Ryder's story is laugh-out-loud wonderful with witty banter, heartfelt emotion, romance, and so much fun I had a smile on my face long after I finished reading it. Don't miss this charming romantic comedy!
eARC courtesy of Entangled Publishing and NetGalley. Published: 7/23/18 Let me start out by saying I requested this book because it sounded interesting with a different trope/plot-line than what I normally read. When I first started reading, I had some concerns and if the general "likability" of either Ryder or Monica would be enough to overcome what issues I had with it. While I thought Monica was TSTL at the beginning, I liked her at the end. She had some good business ideas and the talent to carry it out. Ryder, on the other hand, I thought was an asshole and made a little improvement, but not enough. The rest of this review is hidden behind the awesome spoiler tag. I can't talk about the issues I had with this book without giving anything away.
I was provided a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest and fair review. Also be sure to check out my Blog Tour post on this book!
I thought the cover on this book was so cute and fun, it really attracted me to want to pick up the book. This was an ok romance novel, it was a solid story and would make a good beach read. Ryder and Monica were both sweet and fun, they were super cute together. This was a fun and light-hearted read, just like the cover leads us to believe! There was a but more mush than I usually care for, but there definitely was romance. This was a pretty good read and I would recommend checking it out if you like a light-hearted cowboy romance.

4 1/2 stars
One Wedding Two Brides, kept me entertained and smiling throughout the whole story. I wasn't sure how this story was going to play out and I really like that. So we have Monica and Ryder getting together in the most unlikely way, and yet they really were great for each other. I like the chemistry and the friendship between these two and I was really hoping they would stay together. I loved the ending and I loved the epilogue.
I loved the whole premise of this book. Monica wants to get revenge on her ex so she shows up at his wedding drunk. She gets dragged out by Ryder who she than marries in a drunken stooper. But as fate would have it she finds herself falling for the guy she married as a sham. This book was hilarious and a really sweet romance. I loved the idea of a fairy tale romance. A cowboy falling for a city girl. What could be a better romance? I liked the authors writing style. I have not read anything by her before but I will be!
A cute a quirky story of a jilted bride, Monica Blair, who tracks down her groom. AT HIS WEDDING! TO ANOTHER WOMEN! There she meets the bride's brother,Ryder Nash , who she gets to help her try to pull off a scam to get back at the groom and recover money he stole from her!
This was a cute and different book from the "norm" that is out there. I thought it was cute and funny! I loved the city girl and the cowboy!
Monica is devastated when she opens her Chicago paper and reads a wedding announcement for her fiancé, Matt. But she’s not the bride in the announcement! She hops on a plane and while she knows that she won’t make it to stop the wedding, she knows that she has to do something to let Matt know that she found out about the deception. While on the way to Nevada she ends up getting drunk and crashes the reception and starts spouting off. She’s hauled out by the bride’s brother, Ryder.
Monica tells Ryder that she needs to get back at Matt and let him know the huge mistake he made by marrying someone else. The only way, according to her drunken mind, to do that is to get married as well. This will supposedly infuriate Matt because she’ll be the perfect wife. (Yeah, it makes no sense to me either.) She says she’ll pay Ryder $50,000 to marry her – a marriage of convenience, of course – and then they’ll get it annulled when she feels Matt has been bested (as he’s so competitive). So, Ryder’s farm is failing and he needs money, desperately, so while he knows that marrying Monica isn’t smart he needs that money.
The next morning Monica wakes up and can’t remember anything. She’s horrified that she married this man she didn’t know and then lets him know that she doesn’t have $50,000 because Matt stole it from her before he married Ryder’s sister. Ryder is shocked but determined to get the money back from Matt, so they decide to stay married and work together.
While I enjoyed this story at times, there were plenty of parts that annoyed me. Ryder was one of them. He was very concerned for his farm, I get that, but it made him seem pretty self-centered in the way he acted. He went along with Monica’s schemes but never graciously. Monica and I had a love/hate relationship as well. I thought she was an idiot at the beginning, but she made up for it by the end of the book.
This is intended to be an overall light-hearted book and that’s what it is – there’s not a lot of depth. It was cute and funny at times so that kind of made up for the parts where I found myself rolling my eyes.
This books has on page sex but only mild cussing (no f-bombs). While the sex isn't over-done and doesn't overshadow anything in this one, if open door sex will cause you to leave a bad review, you should skip this one.
The plot of this book is absurd and ridiculous, but instead of trying to pretend that it's totally normal and taking itself too seriously, this book luxuriates in it's absurdness in the best way possible. (That's a compliment, I swear.) The characters fully acknowledge how off-kilter their circumstances are, but they're determined to make the best of a bad situation. Ms. Betts handles this plot with incredible humor and excellent writing, making the first three quarters of this book one of the best fake relationship books that I have read recently. The humor kind of goes off the rails a bit in the last quarter of the book, trading laugh out loud moments for “look at how edgy and hipster Monica is” moments, but it wasn't enough to cost this book a star because the beginning was that strong and the happily ever after was done just right. (Also, gold star to Ms. Betts for the Little Texas references.)
The characters in this book were excellent - Ryder was gruff and growly and oh so sexy, while Monica was a total hot mess who, even while you'll cringe at her behavior at the beginning, you can't help but root for because, really, don't we all wish we could do the same thing if we were in her place?
I would recommend this book to anyone who doesn't take life too seriously and enjoys a good laugh while reading, and also to anyone who enjoys seeing two fish out of water find love in the most unexpected of partners. I hope that Josie will find her happily ever after.
(Source: I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. Thanks to NetGalley, Entangled Publishing, LLC, Amara and Heidi Betts.)
“It’s the real McCoy,” he said, and his voice cracked. “The kind that convinces you to climb castle walls and rescue a drunken princess because there’s just something about her that you can’t ignore. The kind that doesn’t give a rat’s ass if she has fifty thousand dollars to rebuild a broken-down barn or not. The kind that has you thinking it might not be so bad to leave the ranch once in a while and spend a couple months in Chicago.”
I really enjoyed this book and stayed up all night to finish it. It was a fun, light and a cute story. My issue with the plot was that somethings just did not make sense to me and that there were not many events that took place in the book, but I still had fun reading it. Another thing that bothered me was the POV twist, now, I love duo POVs, but it should be clear whose POV I am reading, it was kind of unclear until I got to the middle of the first paragraph or sometimes even to the second or third.
I liked Monica's character, she was fun to follow. Meanwhile, while I liked Ryde there were things about him that I just could not comprehend. For instance, why did he accept the proposal when the bride that they were kind of going against was his own sister? However, I liked how OK he was with her quirks and even encouraged her instead of doing the opposite.
Overall, it was such a fun and fluffy read full of horse and ranches and cowboys, that you will be swooned by it right from the start.
On one side of the bed we have a Monica Blair, she was having the time of her life, preparing to get married to her boyfriend and soon to be partner when she opens up the newspaper to find the engagement announcement for her fiancé… with another woman. The next thing she knows it’s two days later after she read the paper, and she is now lying next to a blue-eyed, smooth-talking cowboy in the middle of nowhere and with two rings on her finger… what the hell…?
On the other we have Ryder Nash, who has a big case of commitment-phobia and almost won a price for the last man on earth you’d ever seen walking down the aisle, next to the woman who crashed his little sister’s wedding wasted beyond reason next to him. He literally met her no less than thirty six hours ago and he already tie knot. He works in his ranch, which has BIG financial problems and needs cash pronto, so when the solution appear in front of him as a city girl with pink-streaked hair and a frog tattoo who only needs to make her ex jealous for 50k, what is there to think?
So this is where things get tricky, apparently she doesn’t know what happen or what she said and she doesn’t have any money, so what now? Easy, you clean out stables and try to keep your hands to yourself… for both of them.
The story was unexpected and I have to be honest I almost quit in the first chapter, because WTH!? But I promise you, in the next ones it gets better and it will only keep getting better and better. Their chemistry is undeniable and jumps out of the pages, the ending is beautiful, but I have to say I wanted more. Don’t get me wrong it was awesome, but I’m greedy that way…
This is a definitely must read!
I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley.
Cute story about an unexpected marriage for convenience that starts off with an incredibly drunk bride and a sober groom who just needs a little help. I loved Monica's character, especially watching her adapt to live on the ranch when she's used to big city living. Her new found love of horses, and especially Rumpy, was touching.
My only complaint, the only reason I rated this three stars instead of four, was because there was far too much inner dialogue for my taste. Page after page of paragraph after paragraph of internal dialogue. Honestly I skimmed a few pages and didn't lose anything in the story.
I really enjoyed this story. As not only was it extremely entertaining, charming and easy to read. But the two main characters were likable, fun and memorable. And I was completely engaged throughout.
And if you're looking for a fun, easy read or love stories that feature fake marriages/dating then you should definitely check this one out. As you won't be disappointed.
**I was kindly provided with an ARC by Entangled Publishing in exchange for an honest review**
Sweet, silly and sexy this story hits all the right notes. Jilted bride, country mouse/city mouse fake husband and still there are surprises. I thoroughly enjoyed this romantic romp.
This was a fun, back and forth, will they won't they, awww how sweet kind of book. Ryder and Monica were total opposites. He is a cowboy rancher trying to keep his ranch afloat and she is an impulsive, but time city girl photographer. I swear some of the ideas Monica came up with were hilarious. I swear this book played like a movie in my head as I read. They had crazy chemistry that helped turn their fake relationship real. As the book went on, and I got to know the characters a little more, they really grew on me. Then became a couple you could really cheer for. I loved the part towards the end with the big "aha" moment, that was so good. And the epilogue was way too cute.
I received this book in exchange for an honest review from the publisher through Netgalley.
Monica crashed her ex-fiances wedding while being drunk and in a wedding dress! Her ex, Matt, promised her a wedding but instead he run away with her money and married another woman. The bride's brother, Ryder, takes her outside to prevent her from making an even bigger spectacle. While driving away, she propose a deal with Ryder; they'll get married to revenge Matt and in exchange she''ll give him the money he needs to rescue his ranch. However, after waking up the next day, Ryder finds out that there's no money and they are still married. Now they decide to join forces in order to get the money back from Matt and save the ranch.
The relationship between Monica and Ryder is full of sexual tension. Their chemistry is off the charts and even though they denied it there's a connection between them. I really enjoyed their story and laugh with Monica antics at times. Seeing how she got used to being the rancher's wife was hilarious! They are seriously made for each other! The ending was perfect and wrapped up the story beautifully!!
This book was crazy good right from the start! I could hardly put this story aside once I started it because of the unending hilarious LOL SITUATIONS that continuously happen between Monica & Ryder! I honestly have NO IDEA how Heidi managed to come up with such a great plot and follow through with such witty dialogue! Somehow Heidi also does the best job of painting such a clear picture of the events & situations transpiring that I swear I was watching the movie in my head ! This would surely make for one of those coveted Hallmark movies that we all know & look forward to ! BRAVO HEIDI! ❤️👍🏻💕👏🏻😘
A fabulously fun and flirty contemporary read that will make you laugh out loud, I absolutely adored Heidi Betts’ enchanting romance One Wedding, Two Brides!
Monica Blair thought that she had her future all mapped out: she was going to marry the man of her dreams and spend the rest of her life married to her Prince Charming – until she realised that her fiance was a rat of the highest order who didn’t even have the decency to tell her that he was breaking things off with her and marrying someone else. Monica is absolutely incandescent with rage. She cannot believe that she has been duped like this and vows to get revenge on the man who had humiliated her. But crashing his reception when she is very drunk was not a good idea – especially as she wakes up the next day in bed with a blue-eyed cowboy in the middle of nowhere with a ring on her finger! It was meant to be a very simple plan: get married, get revenge and get her money back. However, little did Monica realise that there was nothing simple or straightforward about her new husband, Ryder Nash!
Marriage had never featured highly on Ryder Nash’s list of priorities – and even if he had ever contemplated the thought of walking down the aisle, he certainly would never have got hitched to a city girl like Monica Blair who sticks out like a sore thumb on his ranch. With her crazy hair and tattoos, Monica is as far removed as it is possible to get from Ryder’s idea of a perfect wife, but when she hatched a plan to expose the ratbag who had married his sister, he found himself with no other choice but to go along with this crazy scheme. There is nothing Ryder would not do for his family – even marrying a woman who is driving him crazy! Tempers flare and sparks soon begin to fly between the two of them and it becomes clear that there is not convenient about their sham marriage!
Giving into temptation and succumbing to the flame of desire that sizzles between them soon proves inevitable when their feelings for one another begin to get very real! Will Ryder and Monica admit the truth about the depth of their feelings for one another? Or will their differences end up driving them apart?
Feel-good romance does not get any better than this! Heidi Betts has written an entertaining and engaging read that will make you laugh out loud. Uplifting, enjoyable and irresistible, One Wedding, Two Brides is a terrific marriage of convenience story with a wonderful heroine you’d love to have as a best friend and a gorgeous Stetson wearing hero who will make you go weak at the knees!
Sassy, sexy and scintillating, One Wedding, Two Brides is a sensational contemporary romance that is a must-read this summer!
I loved the meet-cute in this. Or rather the meet-jilted-and-tipsy.
Monica was supposed to marry the same man that Ryder's sister just married. So, in her mind (drunk where bad ideas make sense) crashing the wedding, and showing him what he lost, and also showing the bride the loser she married, seems like a good idea.
Ryder to the rescue, of both Monica and the bride and groom (although, that turns out as you want it to once you hear Monica's story) and off she goes to his ranch. His troubled ranch, the one he is in danger of losing and is struggling to make ends meet.
A revenge marriage plot is formed, the money Monica has is promised to Ryder, and sparks start flying...the money isn't where it is supposed to be, the marriage is becoming more and more real, and the relationship neither of them were looking for is looking like exactly what they want.
It's not easy to get them to the Happily Ever After, but it was fin and enjoyable. I am not sure I totally believed the premise, but hey, why not?
I laughed, I enjoyed this title, and I recommend it.
Monica went into the wedding reception that should have been hers and Matt- the rats. She was drunk but did make it to the platform where speeches had been given and she told the people there she was suppose to be the bride and that Matt had stolen all her money and then married the floozie- Josie- who was now Matt the rats new bride. Matts new brother in law Ryder literally put Monica over his shoulder and carried her out to his truck and took Monica from the reception. Monica is very drunk and wants revenge and tells ryder she will give him fifty thousand dollars to marry her because Matt will be jealous if he thinks she is happily married to fryder. Ryder desperately needs money to sink in his ranch and his horse therapy program he wants to start. A tornado had badly damaged his barn. The bank was knocking at his door and wouldn’t give him a loan. She can be Rapunzel and he can be her prince. Also Ryder thinks of the look on his ex- Stephanie’s face when he sees Monica on his arm as Ryders new bride. Ryder agrees to marry monica and the go to Vegas Ryder has Monica sign an agreement about a partnership in the ranch and would split the profits until she got her money back she had invested into the ranch. Monica was a photographer in the fashion scene and was making a name for herself. Matt had taken all her money all she had was her last paycheck for money. When Monica comes to she has no idea where she is or what has happened until Ryder tells her and says she can’t leave the ranch until he has the money she promised him he kept his part of the deal and married her. I enjoyed this book . It wasn’t realistic as far as I am concerned but a fun summer read. This was a light easy read. . I did chuckle at times while reading this. I did love Ryder and Monica together and how they interacted with each other. I liked the pace and the plot. I liked the characters and the ins and outs of this book and I recommend.
This is the first book that I have read by this author and I absolutely loved it. I honestly do not think that I have ever laughed so hard while reading a book like I did this one. Monica and Ryder had chemistry from the start. They were such different people with such different life styles. As I was reading I was never really sure where the story was going but I found it to be so funny and dramatic at times that I just could not put it down. I liked the friendship that developed between the two of them and you could see how much they were both coming to mean to each other but they never really came right out and admitted it to the other. The book just kept me guessing until the very end. I cannot wait to see what happens next in this series. Thanks Net Galley. I voluntarily reviewed this book in exchange for an honest review.
