With his lethal skills and criminal connections, former British agent Quincy Radcliffe has fast become a key asset at the newly formed Stark Security. But Quincy isn’t the man he appears to be.
When the woman whose body he once worshipped and whose heart he broke pleads for his help, Quincy knows he must either turn his back on her or risk revealing his dark secrets to the one woman who can—and will—tear open his old wounds.
For years, struggling actress Eliza Tucker has tried to forget the decadent weeks she shared with Quincy Radcliffe. His smoldering good looks had drawn her in, while his British charm had enchanted her. But it was the wildness of his seduction and the ferocity of his passion that captured her. She’d given herself to him—and he’d shattered her like glass when he’d walked away.
Now, he’s the only person who can help find her missing sister. She’ll use him because she has too. She’ll pay any sensual price he demands. But she won’t fall for him again.

Four years ago, for one amazing summer in London, Eliza and Quincy were each other's everything.
But something happened and he broke her heart. She never wants to see him again.
Too bad, because now they kinda have to work together.
Eliza is trying to find her missing private investigator sister. And she's doing that at this creepy, elite sex party in Hollywood - the same party Quincy and his Stark Security team are doing a secret agent mission thing that night.
Turns out they're 'working' the same case.
Let the fun times begin.
Because even through all the hate and heartbreak - the feelings are still very much there!

I really loved this!
I didn't exactly know what to expect. Well, I kinda expected a great romantic suspense - and I got that. But it also something different and more and ... no idea what I mean. But I really loved it.
The first few pages I was a bit torn. On the verge of being bored, because I didn't really know why I should care about a building in Hollywood. Even though it was interesting to read about it - but I was afraid the whole book would give me too many details about things that didn't really matter to the story. And then we go back in time a few times - to London - when they met - how they fell for each other. I usually don't like going back in time in books. But it was really okay here.
It was a very exciting and sexy and mysterious and Hot-British-Hero story.
We have the missing sister Eliza is looking for and we have the missing royal kid from Europe Quincy is looking for. Plus the problems in our two darlings pasts. Plus their relationship and break-up problems. All very exciting and heartbreaking!
I loved seeing Dallas and Ryan and Damien again.
Great Book!
It could've been a bit more of everything. It was all a bit rushed and not very detailed (even though I complained about too much detail in the beginning☺). I wanted more about their pasts, their relationship in London, the time between London and now. More about Stark Security and its people. More romance and fun and action. Just a tiny bit more. It felt like Julie was told to cut 100 pages of interesting stuff. BUT - it was also completely okay the way it was - I really loved reading it!
Can't wait to get my hands on Denny and Mason's story next!!!!
SHATTERED WITH YOU was a very exciting & sexy & heartbreaking romantic suspense! Run to your nearest amazon for your own hot British agent - this one is MINE! ☺

Ugh - another tiny little thing about the writing. As most of my followers know ... I HATE it when authors use AS in a non-comparing way. Like: I couldn't pick you up from school - as I was busy eating cake. Know what I mean?? I hate that. It's not used in modern-day conversations. British people use it but even then it sounds horrible to my ears. And the other thing - SO LONG AS. We learned in school that it is AS LONG AS. Is this a local thing? I have no idea - I have never heard anyone say SO LONG AS in real life! I hate it. But of course - that's all just me and my weird reading rules. Carry on.
~~I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads ~~
SO happy when this arrived on my Kindle, as I love how Kenner tells a story, and one which involves her Stark family was bound to be the winner that it is. Loved it from page one to the very end ... and now, really just looking forward to the next installment! If you are new to J. Kenner, then I would recommend that you consider going back a bit, and getting all the goodness in order, but you can always go back (be ready to want to!)
It was no surprise that this new book had a delicious, but tortured soul for a male lead, with a desire to save, protect and love from afar if necessary. Quincy has the added bonus of being British, which Eliza found adorable from their very first encounter. The story moves backwards and forwards in time so that we understand their background when they meet again in most unexpected circumstances. Those memories plague both of them, but any fan knows that this author will find a way to ensure they (and we) get the ending deserved. The road is not straight, and the tension levels are high, but it is worth keeping the faith.
My advice is grab a copy, find a hideaway and expect to surface much, much later - probably best to take snacks and water too! I read it all in one go, thank goodness it was Sunday!
5 Star Review Shattered With You (Stark Security #1) by J Kenner Having read other books in the Stark world by J Kenner I jumped at the chance to read and review Shattered With You, which is the first book in her new series, Stark Security. This is Quincy Radcliffe and Eliza Tucker’s story and is a second chance at love story. At times the subject matter was not for the faint of heart and for some there may well be triggers.
I really loved the characters of Quincy and Eliza; both been through so much unbearable pain and suffering and yet they have come through it, not unscathed but they survived.
It was also great to see some familiar characters throughput the story and I was really cheering for Quincy and Eliza to re connect and get the happily ever after that they both so richly deserved.
Eliza and her sister Emma have been through so much and I admired their strength and courage to overcome some a horrendous path and forge a future. To me Quincy and Eliza are two halves of a whole and are so well d=suited for one another that you cannot help but hope they can see it too.
As things spice up and danger rears it’s head, neither of them can deny the sizzling chemistry that remains between them. Well written this was a fast paced suspenseful and sizzling story that had me engaged from start to the finish.
This was a fast paced, action packed, angsty and emotional read. It had ups and downs, twists and turns for sure. This review is proving difficult as I want to tell you the WHOLE story it was so good. Don't worry I'm not going to...but I will say I loved it.
I will admit it has been a while since I have read a book by J Kenner and it feels like forever ago I was waiting in anticipation for the Damien Stark books to come out. When I found out this was connected with Stark security I could not resist. I have had a fantastic few uninterrupted hours all to myself, completely lost in the journey of Quincy Radcliffe and Eliza Tucker.
J. Kenner is one of my very first reads. I fell in love with all her books waaaay back when I first started reading almost a decade ago, and to this day, I will always read J. Kenner's book! ALSO, can we just be excited for the fact that this is a NEW SERIES omg, yes!
When Quincy is working a mission and his eyes land on Eliza Tucker, the whole game changed right there and then, While Eliza is only there for her sister, in a literal form as well..she isn't sure what to make of seeing Quincy again. Hoping to run into Mr. X, her sisters last contact...she has put herself in a compromising position at a party where not only the wealthiest men showed who were very dangerous. Money, power, hunger...then...J. Kenner plunges into the HOW THEY MET scene and I am not only blown away but IN LO V E!! Gah! So much romance, dark, mystery and a very handsome man with a British accent and a british fitting name..Quincy. Oh my little heart almost didn't take how fantastic their HOW THEY MET story went!!
What happens next is a lot of TUG OF WAR, for me that is...reading it, all the feelings, emotions...it's exhilarating to read because there is just so much passion behind those words! My heart breaks for Eliza yet equally for Quincy. I am seriously getting goosebumps reading every page.
But, Eliza realizes that she does need Quincy, because she needs her sister more than anything and he is the one man that can help her, along with her helping him. What a tragic beginning and middle, because how ironic is it that they need each other yet one left the other, and the other took years to try and pick up, never to.
You'll learn that Denise "Danny" is the shit! One of my favorite non heroine female characters I have read in a very long time! She is loyal to the core, upfront and blunt! Basically pretty cool!! The events that occur during this mission, are unpredictable and adventurous. I will have to say at this juncture that I really want to knock some sense into Quincy but then I also understand it from his point of view. LOVE/HATE relationship I am having with the hero and heroine! This first book in a new series reminds me of how AMAZING J. Kenner is with words and stories, not only informative and they keep you engaged but also the mystery, danger and passion behind each chapter.
I don't want to spoil too much, but will say that I was satisfied very much with this new Series. If you're a hardcore reader of J. Kenner's books, you'll understand when i say that this book really IS J. KENNER!!
I am rating this nothing lower than 100 PLUS STARS & WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT! This is on my TOP 2019 MUST READ easily, a book I can't wait to re-read because I have a feeling I will have a whole new experience the 2nd time around too!
This first in a series was free on Apple Books,so i thought i’d take a look. What i found was a romantic suspense with flashbacks throughout. Not my usual dark story, and it lacked my usual amount of heat, but it was engaging enough to finish. The H and h were both strong, likeable characters with a dark past. It was well explained why he thought it was best to stay away from her,and what made him struggle with his feelings when they were working together. And it was well explained why she,in spite of how much he’d hurt her, needed his comfort when they were forced together again.
Quincy and Eliza had history and the how,why and when was explained through their memories. They both didn’t expect to meet ever again, but did in the last place both thought possible. And they ended up working together, with him trying to save a young princess, and her trying to find her missing sister. Because the 2 were somehow connected. During this time,Quincy tries to keep his distance, but fails because Eliza won’t let him. She was heartbroken when he left her without a word all those years ago,and she wants to get to the bottom of why he did it. In the meantime, the enemy is closing in,and they need to find her sister and the princess yesterday. Just as Quincy is opening up,and wants to give their relationship a second chance, the worst case scenario happens…..his old enemy is the one behind everything!!!
Will they get everyone to safety without any casualties? And will Quincy still be willing to take that leap of faith and stay with Eliza?
Shattered With You was a thrilling read! It was intriguing, intense, and sexy. There was a fantastic romantic suspense vibe happening, I loved that element of mystery and drama. It kept things exciting and I was hooked the entire time!
Eliza and Quince were such great characters. They had the perfect combination of intensity and vulnerability to them. I loved learning about the battles they were fighting - figuratively and literally - and how it all played out. I really liked getting into both Quince and Eliza’s minds, truly understanding their struggles and what they were going through. The foreshadowing kept me turning the page like a mad woman because I couldn't wait to know what would happen next. There was a killer build as everything was discovered about their past and their complicated relationship together. This couple has an undeniable and complicated chemistry, I loved their push and pull as they fight their feelings.
I love the Stark World J. Kenner has created and it was so great seeing characters from previous stories and how they played into this one. I’m really looking forward to Broken With You, book two in this series. After meeting one of the main characters in the story and the storyline that was set up, I’ll be counting down the days to release.
This was an excellent series starter. I was filled with so much anticipation as everything developed. I love the timing of how all the secrets were discovered, I was on the edge of my seat. J. Kenner is an exceptional storyteller. The drama, tension, and heat were perfect. I also loved the emotion as these two broken and passionate people navigate their way back together in the midst of turmoil. It was a fantastic read!
I adored J. Kenner’s Man of the Month series and have since been meaning to dive into another of her books. With so many options available, knowing most are linked in some way, I found myself unsure where to start. I’d just convinced myself to start with the Stark trilogy, as I believe it to be the original series, when the chance came to dive into Shattered With You. Unable to resist, I opted to dive right in.
Shattered With You is the first book in the Stark Security series, and it works perfectly fine as a standalone story. There were clear nods towards other J. Kenner books, characters that are clearly from the author’s other work, but such did not ruin Shattered With You for me. It left me more desperate to dive into other J. Kenner books, making me desperate to devour all her work, but I was not at a disadvantage.
From the very start, Shattered With You sucked me in, leaving me addicted to the story that was playing out. I fell in love with the characters and the story, I was addicted to the chemistry and the events, and I happily powered my way through the book in a single sitting. It was a story I could not put down, one that begged me to finish it.
The moment I was finished, I found myself ready for the second book. Despite the ending of this one being a bit too quick and easy for my liking, the way things played out was a lot of fun and I’m ready for more. I’m especially ready for more considering the information we’ve been given about the story that is to play out in book two. I need more of the character I’ve come to enjoy, along with getting to meet the character I’m curious about, and I need my answers.
All in all, Shattered With You has me desperate for the next Stark Security book, along with reinforcing the fact I need to read other J. Kenner books to enjoy all the little references to be found.
Shattered With You was such a great story and it install pulled me into the story. I was easily swept away into this romance. J.Kenner has such a great talent in writing stories and I love her writing style that is so engaging. I found this story to be unique in that we have such a level of intensity to this story. We do experience some flashbacks in this one and I was really fascinated in how this author implemented it. I was so endeared by both of the characters. They are so strong willed and SO stubborn so it made for some fireworks. But we also see their vulnerabilities especially in how much they care for each other. I just wanted them to find their way together and overcome the hurdles that have kept them from finding their HEA. I was intrigued to see where J. Kenner would deliver this story and it was done it such a solid way. And while it didn't quite make it to a five star read, it was such a solid win for me.
Thankful to receive this arc from J. Kenners group. I love J. Kenner's work. This is a second chance at love story. The first half of this book it flips back and forth from past to present. I dislike books that do that but see why she did it.
Quince and Eliza have been through alot on their own. They have had childhoods that have scarred them for life. This makes them not very trustworthy. Them coming together again was a given. They were meant to be together.
The story dragged a bit for me. Once I was halfway thru the book it picked up with the help of suspense. Eliza sister Emma is badass and very smart. I can't wait to hear more about her.
Eliza and Quince join together to find Emma who must have saved the 13 yr old princess. They needed to find Emma and the princess before the bad guys did.
I don't get the reviews of this book at all, it was terribly written. Nothing was dealt with fully, if people thought as much as these two did we'd all have to freeze frame for about 15 minutes at a time and the ending was abrupt to say the least. There were some huge subjects covered by the plot but it was all so blithely glossed over it became a bit ridiculous. Glad I only paid 99p on Kindle for it...
J Kenner has my book heart she gave me the ultimate girl crush book boyfriend (Stark) . This is a new series of Stark Security. This book is about Ryan Hunters team and specifically Quincy and Eliza. I am unsure how you could not fall in love with Quincy Radcliffe as he is British, part of MI6, and part of stark security and has a past that will gut you. Eliza comes into the story after she fled England when Quincy abandoned her and her heart to seek solace with her sister only to discover her sister has gone missing. I will admit I wasn’t the biggest fan of the international series for stark security but this one was captivating. This story is about finding yourself, finding your sexual interests, accepting your flaws, hiding and accepting your past and it’s also a second chance romance. We also touch bases with all of our previous Starks to include Nikki and Damien! This story has romantic elements but the majority of the story is a real story, it’s quick, fast, and mysterious and keeps you on your toes. There are some hard triggers you see in this with stories and threats of rape MM/MF, sexual abuse to children, death and a few others but just know these are their histories and this book isn’t condoning the actions but its bringing these real life pasts that are ugly and scary to the surface in a way that you hurt for these two.
J. Kenner has done it again! She has written a PHENOMENAL story that draws you in and keeps sitting on the edge of your seat until the end wondering what is going to happen next. This story is filled with action, suspense, love, and a roller coaster of a ride.
Quincy is a haunted soul that is broody and both lovable at the same time. He meets this gorgeous woman Eliza and they have this world win love affair until the day that Quincy leaves and doesn't come back. Eliza is heart broken and not sure what to do but she moves on never forgetting that man with gorgeous eyes and the sexy accent.
Then Eliza needs help and she knows just who to go to for the help but she doesn't want to but she doesn't have a choice. So Eliza contacts Quincy and he knows he has to help her out and he does. As he is helping her all the old feelings come back and the two get back together for a night of pleasure but that night isn't enough for either one of them and they have to decide if they can make it work out for the long haul.
This is am amazing beginning to what I am sure is going to be a PHENOMENAL series that will take us on one roller coaster ride. So go on and one click this and enjoy the ride of Quincy and Eliza!

Full of action, suspense and oh so much sexual tension, Shattered With You had me hooked from the start.
I did feel though, that the end was a little rushed, and with all the build up I was expecting a bang at the end, and it felt more like a whimper. However that could just be me.
I loved seeing bits of the Stark men and their ladies.
I felt that this was a good and interesting start to the Stark Security spin off, and I am looking forward to what comes next.
Shattered With You (Stark Security #1) by J. Kenner 4 stars M/F Romance Triggers: Human Trafficking, Kidnapping, Murder I was given this book for an honest review by Wicked Reads.
This is a great start to this new series. I really enjoyed Quincy and Eliza.
Quincy is an operative who had to leave behind those he loved most for the good of a mission, the good of his job. He never forgot that and never regretted more. When he's in the middle of another mission, he sees a ghost from his past. Despite his mission, he has to make sure that she is OK.
Eliza is on a mission of her own. Her sister is missing and while she knows that her sister can take care of herself, it's strange that she's gone missing at all. When Eliza sees Quincy at the party she's working, immediately she feels both attraction and hate.
Working against the clock, both will have to put their past aside in order to save a small girl and Eliza's sister.
It's fast paced and you do get glimpses of their past in order to help further the story along. I do wish that there was more of an indication when you flashed back. Sometimes it caught me off guard because there's no warning - you're just in the past all of a sudden. However, despite that, it was a good start to the series and I can't wait to see where it goes.
4.5 ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️! I had no clue what to expect going into this book. I knew that I was a fan of Kenner’s work and love all things Stark so I went for it. This book didn’t disappoint. This story had all you would expect from Kenner, alpha man, broken souls, romance, and throw in so mystery. Quincy and Eliza meet in London years ago. They fall in love and have this story book romance. Their relationship is pretty big deal because they both have troubled backgrounds and don’t trust easily. Then Quincy disappears and it breaks Eliza’s heart. There paths cross when Eliza is searching for her sister after she goes missing. This story drew me in and kept me on the edge of my seat. I loved how it kept me guessing what was next! I loved Emma and Eliza’s relationship. The story is not what I expected and not normally what I read but I loved it. If you are looking for a romance that draws you in and keeps you there on the edge of tour seat grab this book!
What an explosive and delicious beginning to a new spinoff in the Stark Universe we had in Shattered With You. A reunion romance between an actress and a real life James Bond, the action was pulse-pounding and the emotions stronger than ever.
If you’ve read any of J. Kenner’s other books in her Stark Universe, you know she isn’t afraid to bring some darkness into the storyline. In this case, both Quincy and Eliza had overcome horrific childhood trauma to then face even more heartbreak and life-altering situations as adults. (The events they went through might be tough for sensitive readers, so beware…) And one of those occurrences is what drove them apart about four years prior to the start of this book, which we learned about through flashback scenes that were exceedingly well done. Release Me should have come with a warning label. It introduced me to Damien Stark and since then I have been hooked. As with all things Stark, Shattered With You, the first book in the new Stark Security series is sexy, intense and hotter than magma. Paige and former British Agent, Quincy had history that blazed hot and ended in pain.Quincy and Paige are reunited when Page's PI sister goes missing and Quincy is investigating his own case. For me this was exactly what I expect from Julie Kenner. She does not shy away from intense, troubling subjects and the mix of passion, pain and drama merge together to create a story that drew me in from so many angles. It makes me want to go back and read all things Stark from the very beginning.Thank you to J. Kenner and Social Butterfly PR, for gifting me a review copy of Shattered With You. The gifting of this book did not influence this review.
worst writing ever. the story might have been ok, but the writing was so bad there was no way to go beyond a few chapters. and I resent wasting any moments of time on the chapters I read.
J. Kenner’s Stark World is one setting that I’ll never get enough of due to its amazing stories and the couples who reside in this sensual, suspenseful, and seductive environment, and while Damian and Nikki will always be my favorite duo in the eclectic cast of characters involved in these multifaceted story lines, I love the fact that Kenner is introducing readers to the men and women who put their lives on the line as members of Stark’s newly assembled Security team - those who vow to protect and serve in any and all facets necessary.
Readers of Kenner’s S.I.N. Trilogy met Quincy Radcliffe as a member of Dallas’ Deliverance team, and it was clear that his skillset and training were an asset to his team at MI6, with his Deliverance teammates, and now as a pivotal member of Damien Stark’s Security.
But none of Quincy’s past experience or knowledge prepared him for Eliza Tucker and his desire and need to peel away her layers, claiming her as his own OR the fallout that would occur when a routine security detail turned into a life altering situation - one that left him nothing but ‘ragged edges and missing pieces’ and nowhere near worthy of a woman like Eliza.
The fact that Shattered With You is a second chance romance is what drew me into the story line and made me want to understand exactly what happened to Quincy to make him stay away from the one woman who gave him everything…who surrendered to him in ways that allowed her to let down her walls and fill the hole inside her that she always thought would remain open…who now feels nothing but betrayed and hurt by the only man she’s ever trusted.
Quincy and Eliza are brought back together in an extremely unusual way, and while it places them in a tenuous and dangerous situation, it also gives them, especially Eliza, the opportunity to put some of their fractured pieces together, feeling a bit more whole and perhaps even move forward without being completely shattered.
But because of the circumstances surrounding their reunion, the truth of Quincy’s actual profession, as well as Quincy’s inability to see beyond his tortured past, their once inseparable connection seems to be completely destroyed, only further confusing Eliza and desperately wanting to unravel the secrets that Quincy refuses to dispense.
Shattered With You is the perfect title for Quincy and Eliza’s story because it emphasizes just how much damage has been done to them at the hands of horrible people and consequently the actions taken by Quincy to keep Eliza away from his darkness and the monster within because she’s already been through enough and he won’t subject her to any more pain, even if that’s exactly what he did when he left her without even saying goodbye.
I can’t wait for Broken With You, especially after how book one ended, which means I’m sure readers are in for another great romantic suspense in the Stark Security series.
