3.5 This series starts out about a series involving a family and a winery. The Family lost their oldest son, but are making their way through without Kade. You knew from the very beginning that Kade wasn’t really dead. The first three books involved Kade’s brothers and their loves. Then everything changes in the last two books. There winery and the brothers are no longer relevant. Now it’s about spies, loyalty, Russians and a new band of brothers, which I didn’t care for.

Great Opportunity to get Four books of this Series in One Place!!
******** The Promise
Heartwarming, Family based, Sizzling Romance Read!!
When his eldest brother Kade is killed in action, Brodie is charged with delivering a box of belongings to his brother’s girlfriend. Peyton never met Kade’s family, and thought she was seeing things when Brodie, who resembles Kade, makes an appearance. Peyton fights the attraction to Brodie as she feels it may be due to the resemblance. After a crappy marriage and losing Kade she and her two sons needed to be careful.
The history and background of this entire family is a great read. The building (or not?) of this relationship is a great read. Add in the wine / cowboy aspect and the way the author weaves this story together and you have a real winner! I thoroughly enjoyed this story and can’t wait to read more in the series.
******** The Truce
A Fascinating story within this Terrific series!!
This story tracks Butler brother Maddox and his on again off again love interest Alex – but they never express it in those terms. First kept apart by a family feud, then kept apart by circumstance and misconceptions we are treated to their journey. The journey of the family, new revelations about the eldest son Kade; killed in action and the struggle of these two main characters that are so perfect for each other and drive each other crazy.
When a circumstance makes them think they should be together, then again separate, we feel the yearning for so much more yet things which only the other can provide. Mystery and intrigue are served in equal parts with romance and humor making this a highly entertaining read. I highly recommend this book and this series!!
******** The Secret
A New Winemaker Joins Butler Ranch!!
Naughton is waiting to interview his possible new winemaker and he doesn’t have time for the young lady in front of him no matter how attractive she is….except “Bradley” is the young lady AND she is a stellar winemaker. Naughton must “eat crow” to get her to return and accept the job offer.
Bradley has a pompous boyfriend who is coming to visit – he calls her “Brad” even though she has asked him not to, and he makes many of her decision for her (or tries to). When fire breaks out and Bradley jumps in to help save the vineyard; Guy Deveux III questions her every move. Naughton, having seen how skilled Bradley is, puts Bradley back in charge and sends Guy away.
Increasing danger, family secrets and building relationships swirl in this third episode of the Butler Ranch. I have already read Part 4 (along with parts 1 and 2) and highly recommend this entire series!!
******** The Gift
Vignette on each Character of Butler Ranch!!
Ironically this is my first Heather Slade read. If you know this series and family, I am certain you would feel right at home and enjoy a glimpse into each character. Even not knowing them initially – I feel like I do now.
The major theme running through this is the loss of the oldest brother Kane; his impact on his siblings and some memento or message that he leaves for each one. Each couple has had a struggle to get to their HEA, but family seems to be at the core of each relationship.
I will be reading the Butler Ranch series after my introduction to them reading this story.

"The Promise" (The Butler Ranch Series Book One) by Heather Slade is a great read. I loved Peyton and Brodie's story. This is the first time I've read this author, and I'm looking forward to reading more! This story has passion, family, love, loss, new beginnings, and more. I can't wait to see what happens next in this series. Highly recommend to all fans of romance.

I loved every book in this series!
The Promise
I love the blurb for this book and was curious to see how things would unfold once Brodie delivered the sealed box to Peyton. What should have been a simple exchange turned into so much more. I enjoyed their emotional, heartfelt story as they struggled with grief, heartbreak, and the promise of new love.
The Truce
The Truce is full of surprises and hidden agendas. As Maddox uncovers more secrets that his late brother Kade was keeping, he ends up with more questions than answers. I loved the continuing mystery surrounding Kade, as well as Alex and Maddox's love story. I can't wait until the next release to discover what secrets Naughton has been hiding.
The Secret
The mystery continues... there are several mysterious and dangerous things happening around Butler Ranch and the surrounding vineyards. Can Naughton and his brothers stop the lurking danger and uncover the secrets that family members are keeping?
I really loved Naughton's protectiveness toward Bradley and the amazing chemistry between them. I have enjoyed this entire series and can't wait for the conclusion to see if my theories surrounding the mystery of Kade are correct.
The Gift
I loved catching up with all of the Butlers. The Gift wraps up Brodie's, Maddox's, and Naughton's happily-ever-afters, reveals a few secrets and keeps the overall mystery going. My favorite part of this novella was Ainsley's story. I would love to read a full length book about her and her special man.

This boxed set was updated to six books.
This is such a great series. I recommend it highly. It's very well written, too. I love the way the characters are incorporated in all the books. This series is like an ongoing story, with one of the brothers highlighted as the main characters in each book. I had to binge read this series because it was that good. One book leads to another, picking up where the other left off. This series is a page turner for sure.
1. Brodie. This is the story of Brodie & Peyton. Brodie Butler is a wine salesman for the Butler Ranch. Peyton works for her dad's winery in what is called Stave, a wine tasting room in Cambria, CA, which is a little village. It also holds other events. Brodie's mother sends Brodie to find Peyton to give her a box of things from Kade, his brother, who died on a mission in Afghanistan. Kade and Peyton were seeing each other at the time of his death. Brodie runs into her by chance in the village where she lives. It was instantaneous, the feelings. Peyton fights it every step of the way, just because Brodie is Kade's brother. Brodie is an open book, while Peyton is just the opposite. Bizarre things happen to both of them during this story. It is intense in so many ways. There is definitely a happy ending, but you have to read it to find out how they got there.
2. Maddox. This is the story of Maddox & Alex. Maddox Butler is a wine maker for the Butler Ranch. Alex works at the wine tasting room with Peyton in Cambria, CA. Maddox and Alex have been on and off since high school. They're fathers were rivals because they owned wineries next to each other. So, they were off limits to each other then. When he turned eighteen, she was underage. When she turned eighteen all bets were off. She was now of age. They saw each other discreetly. Their personalities always clashed. There are many mysteries revealed in this story about Maddox's brother, Kade, who died in Afghanistan. It has a bit of an eerie feeling reading about it. It takes Maddox and Alex a long time to reveal their feelings to each other. They always felt the other one didn't feel the same as the other one did. But that definitely worked out.
3. Naughton. This is the story of Naughton & Bradley. Naughton Butler works in the vineyards at Butler Ranch. Bradley was hired by Maddox, Naughton's brother. She was an upcoming winemaker. Naughton and Bradley's first meeting didn't go well. He thought, because of her name, she was here with her boyfriend. That created an issue. In the end, he apologized, and she stayed at the job. The attraction between them was undeniable. Naughton was usually a closed off person, keeping his feelings to himself. Bradley was seeing someone else at the time they met. She found out something about him that he was doing, and she stopped seeing him. Pieces of the ongoing mystery keep revealing themselves little by little. The anticipation in this story is high. There is a happy ending for Naughton and Bradley, but what mystery will be revealed next? On to the next book.
4. Ainsley. This is the story of Ainsley Butler & Cristobal Avila, Alex's brother. Ainsley is still in college. Cristobal is a physician at Stanford Medical Center, soon to be chielf medical officer in Geneco, a research based corporation for genetic aging. She was young when Cristobal was eighteen and went off to college. When she was eighteen she had to go to Stanford, also. He was still in Standford. He was going to be a doctor. He really didn't acknowledge her until she was 21. Then her pursued her. They were together for six years, and he was tired of keeping it a secret. They finally went to both their families and told them they were together. Their families were well okay with it. They are together now, and so in love. Another piece of the puzzle, or the mystery is revealed on Christmas. And the mystery that surrounds Kade, still continues on. Can't wait to continue this in the next book.
5. Mercer. This is the story of Quinn & Mercer. Quinn is Kade Butler's daughter. Mercer's job is protecting Quinn. He works for K19 Security Solutions. Mercer moved into her apartment building on her floor. She sees him at the same party she's at, and he ends up driving her home. He also ends up kissing her. The attraction is instantaneous. This book finally reveals a lot of the mysteries that go on in the other books, finally. This book is full of action. The love between Mercer and Quinn soars. There is quite a surprise at the end of this book. Can't wait to read the last one.
6. Kade. This is the story of Kade & Merrigan. Kade is part owner of K19 Security Solutions. He is finally back after a year and a half of everyone thinking he was dead. He was held captive by the Maskhadov faction with another character, Quinn's Grandfather, Leech. This was in Russia. They made a deal with the organization, United Russia, who wanted Calder, who captured them, dead. It had taken almost two years, but they were free. Merrigan is an MI6 agent in the UK, and helped to free Kade and Leech. She was assigned in the US to help finish the mission they are started. There are ups and downs to the mission, and to their relationship. All the mysteries are finally revealed. It was so enjoyable to see Kade finally get the happily ever after he so deserved.

One book leads to another, picking up where the other left off. This series is a page turner for sure.
1. Brodie. This is the story of Brodie & Peyton. Brodie Butler is a wine salesman for the Butler Ranch. Peyton works for her dad's winery in what is called Stave, a wine tasting room in Cambria, CA, which is a little village. It also holds other events. Brodie's mother sends Brodie to find Peyton to give her a box of things from Kade, his brother, who died on a mission in Afghanistan. Kade and Peyton were seeing each other at the time of his death. Brodie runs into her by chance in the village where she lives. It was instantaneous, the feelings. Peyton fights it every step of the way, just because Brodie is Kade's brother. Brodie is an open book, while Peyton is just the opposite. Bizarre things happen to both of them during this story. It is intense in so many ways. There is definitely a happy ending, but you have to read it to find out how they got there.
2. Maddox. This is the story of Maddox & Alex. Maddox Butler is a wine maker for the Butler Ranch. Alex works at the wine tasting room with Peyton in Cambria, CA. Maddox and Alex have been on and off since high school. They're fathers were rivals because they owned wineries next to each other. So, they were off limits to each other then. When he turned eighteen, she was underage. When she turned eighteen all bets were off. She was now of age. They saw each other discreetly. Their personalities always clashed. There are many mysteries revealed in this story about Maddox's brother, Kade, who died in Afghanistan. It has a bit of an eerie feeling reading about it. It takes Maddox and Alex a long time to reveal their feelings to each other. They always felt the other one didn't feel the same as the other one did. But that definitely worked out.
3. Naughton. This is the story of Naughton & Bradley. Naughton Butler works in the vineyards at Butler Ranch. Bradley was hired by Maddox, Naughton's brother. She was an upcoming winemaker. Naughton and Bradley's first meeting didn't go well. He thought, because of her name, she was here with her boyfriend. That created an issue. In the end, he apologized, and she stayed at the job. The attraction between them was undeniable. Naughton was usually a closed off person, keeping his feelings to himself. Bradley was seeing someone else at the time they met. She found out something about him that he was doing, and she stopped seeing him. Pieces of the ongoing mystery keep revealing themselves little by little. The anticipation in this story is high. There is a happy ending for Naughton and Bradley, but what mystery will be revealed next? On to the next book.
4. Ainsley. This is the story of Ainsley Butler & Cristobal Avila, Alex's brother. Ainsley is still in college. Cristobal is a physician at Stanford Medical Center, soon to be chielf medical officer in Geneco, a research based corporation for genetic aging. She was young when Cristobal was eighteen and went off to college. When she was eighteen she had to go to Stanford, also. He was still in Standford. He was going to be a doctor. He really didn't acknowledge her until she was 21. Then her pursued her. They were together for six years, and he was tired of keeping it a secret. They finally went to both their families and told them they were together. Their families were well okay with it. They are together now, and so in love. Another piece of the puzzle, or the mystery is revealed on Christmas. And the mystery that surrounds Kade, still continues on. Can't wait to continue this in the next book.
5. Mercer. This is the story of Quinn & Mercer. Quinn is Kade Butler's daughter. Mercer's job is protecting Quinn. He works for K19 Security Solutions. Mercer moved into her apartment building on her floor. She sees him at the same party she's at, and he ends up driving her home. He also ends up kissing her. The attraction is instantaneous. This book finally reveals a lot of the mysteries that go on in the other books, finally. This book is full of action. The love between Mercer and Quinn soars. There is quite a surprise at the end of this book. Can't wait to read the last one.
6. Kade. This is the story of Kade & Merrigan. Kade is part owner of K19 Security Solutions. He is finally back after a year and a half of everyone thinking he was dead. He was held captive by the Maskhadov faction with another character, Quinn's Grandfather, Leech. This was in Russia. They made a deal with the organization, United Russia, who wanted Calder, who captured them, dead. It had taken almost two years, but they were free. Merrigan is an MI6 agent in the UK, and helped to free Kade and Leech. She was assigned in the US to help finish the mission they are started. There are ups and downs to the mission, and to their relationship. All the mysteries are finally revealed. It was so enjoyable to see Kade finally get the happily ever after he so deserved.

This is one of the best series I've read.
So wonderful . They're well written , great storylines , wonderful characters . suspenseful . You will not want to stop reading them . I highly recommend reading this boxset

This great collection includes the first four books in The Butler Ranch series. These books are filled with drama, angst, secrets, twists, passion and love. Well written storylines, complex characters, and powerful emotions are blended to create engaging and entertaining reads.

You cannot go wrong in picking up this box set. A fantastic read on all four books and to get them all in one set is just a good weekend read to get your spring reading started.

"The Promise" (The Butler Ranch Series Book 1) by Heather Slade is a great read. I loved Peyton and Brodie's story. This is the first time I've read this author, and I'm looking forward to reading more! This story has passion, family, love, loss, new beginnings, and more. I can't wait to see what happens next in this series. Highly recommend to all fans of romance.

If I could give these books a 10 I would! These stories are exciting, fresh, nail biting, and full of twists and turns the reader won’t see coming. I love how the books are all connected with the Butler family and the story of each sibling getting their happy ever after. However, that road was a bit bumpy and it was not so easy getting there. I loved being able to read each book, one right after the other, as I’m not a fan of cliffhangers. These stories will have your emotions all over the place with tears, laughter, heartbreak, love, and passion. There are sexy alpha men, plenty of steam and a lot of mystery. The plot for each book is very well written, draws the reader in and doesn’t let go.

I was surprised!
I considered returning this series before reading it just because it was so many books. I’m so glad I didn’t! It took me a while to get used to the conversational style of writing, and I didn’t want to give fewer stars based on something that was totally my issue. Once I started the series I HAD to finish it. There were a couple of editing errors that I found (a chapter out of order and an incorrect name used) but I have no trouble overlooking minor issues when the story is as gripping and suspenseful as this one is. I totally appreciate the HEA for nearly everyone too! This is a wonderful series! Kudos to the author!

This series touched everyone of my emotions. There is non stop suspense in every book. There are so many twists and turns, it's hard to keep track, but important to do so. There is passion, romance, loss, secrets and a family's love so strong, they can get through anything. The chemistry between the characters are off the chart. The stories follow each sibling in the Butler family, who fall hard for the one they love. Pieces of the ongoing mystery are slowly revealed in each book. You will not believe the out come.

Buttler Ranch Boxed Set Voume 2 is a superb collection of romantic suspense books by Heather Slade. Ms. Slade has given readers a collection of stories about the Butler family and neighbors. This series has amazing characters, loads of drama, humor, sexy bits, action and suspense. I enjoyed this collection and look forward to reading more from Heather Slade. These are complete book, not cliff-hangers.

I gotta say, I LOVED EVERY SINGLE BOOK! The details for the wine production, and the jobs each character held was awesome and not at all boring. I find it so remarkable that the women were as strong as the men, that’s a huge bonus for me as a reader. I am so looking forward to reading the rest of the books regarding K19!! Thank you, Heather Slade. You are now on my list of Favorite Authors. BRAVO!!!

Butler Ranch Boxed Set : Good books
This series of books were not an easy read,as you had to really read every word or you were liable to take something wrong.So I took my time and read each of them carefully,with all of the twists and turns,and spying and intrigue,along with a lot of romance thrown in for good measure! Sure hope you enjoy them as well,so good reading!

Excellent series. As soon as one book was complete, I couldn't wait to start the next one. I wasn't too interested in all the details of wine making, but the people and actions around it certainly kept my interest.

Loved this box set
This was so well written I could visually interpret the writing into visual pictures of scenery surrounding the farm and countryside. I listened to the words written and was totally absorbed in the characters. Really please d The big brother came home. Thank you. Highly recommend!

Yes to Boxed Set
Absolutely loved this series. From Brodie to Kade the author takes us on a journey filled with humor, love, suspense angst and mystery. I highly recommend reading this series but I would start with Kade's Worth its the prequel that starts Butler Ranch, K19 and I think a few other of Slade's series. Happy Reading!!

Butler Ranch Boxed Set
Not at all what I expected. Having just read this book, I can't remember what that was. All I know is this is/was an excellent series. Each book was better than the last, & the last was the very best of all. Be warned though, having read this you will need to have another of Heather Slade's series, K19 Security Solutions, it follows on. Happy reading

A must get series
This author writes so wonderful that in this series you will get everything you can think of and more start at the beginning and take a journey filled with espionage,mystery,love deceit and much more. You will love each story and won't want to quit reading it is a series well worth the timely read

Really enjoyed this series even if I read the follow on before I read this one which was a bit confusing but it filled in the gaps. A really good read which had me gripped and wowed when I realised I hadn't figured out the 'baddie'

EPIC!
This was the first time I read anything by Heather Slade and it certainly won't be the last!
All 1400 odd pages had my attention, so well written. Full of Romance and suspense, I loved all the characters. I dont know what else to say but Epic!

I gave in on book one the story was average but it just wasnt enough to grip me in. I kept trying it but no not for me the clips i read seemed great but it didnt follow that rest of the book had same need to read feel more a gather dust on shelf Never mind we cant like everything

Great box set
Each book will have you wanting to read nonstop. What a thrilling emotional rollercoaster with twists and turns along the way. A fantastic group of characters. I definitely recommend reading this set before K19 series. Is there a Butler Ranch box set volume1?

see other reviews. Even though I read those separate, I needed to breeze right through the boxed set for another round of stellar stories from Butler Ranch. And will probably read them again.
