If you follow my reviews, you know I have tons of food intolerances. I try to learn from different diets to make my own recipes, with what I can eat.

I do love my pictures, to visualize what the final product is supposed to look like. This book could have more pictures, even if those who are present are beautiful and appetizing.

There are icons (dairy-free, nut-free, egg-free, nightshade-free), vegetarian...), those I loved. Even optional ingredients, suggested sides or alternatives have their icons, but in gray.

The recipes look simple, with easy-to-find ingredients. Many I couldn’t find a way to substitute ingredients, but that’s okay. Maybe you’ll find them yummy, even if I can’t eat them!

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

First let me say that I've never reviewed a cookbook before. I hope that I do a good job on this one. And I honestly don't plan to review many (or any) other cookbooks on my blog at this time.

Next I want to talk a bit about keto. Keto isn't just a diet that you put yourself on. Now I'm no expert and I highly recommend to anyone interested in starting keto do your research first. This is not a "diet" that you can just wing. See "keto" is actually a process within the body--ketosis. Our brains typically use glucose (from carbs) as fuel, but when carbs are deprived the brain has to find a way to be fed and so there's a process that happens within your body where your liver turns fat (consumed fat or existing body fat) into ketones which your brain can then use as fuel in the place of glucose. Therefore, keto is a HIGH fat, MODERATE protein, and LOW carb diet necessary to maintain the process of ketosis within the body. I wouldn't recommend starting keto without at the bare minimum, this basic knowledge.

That being said, my husband did keto last year after he researched extensively. He started January of 2018 and lost just shy of 50 pounds by June. From June until October he maintained his weight loss. October is a busy month for us with 5 family members having birthdays. Then there's Thanksgiving and Christmas in November and December, so he decided to take those months off. He gained back 20 pounds within that time period and felt miserable. I was breastfeeding at the time and it isn't recommended to limit carbs so strictly while breastfeeding so I decided to wait until I weaned my son to start. December 26th I started my keto journey. Where I was losing one pound every 3-4 weeks while breastfeeding and postpartum, I've lost 15 pounds in 10 weeks. There's not really any negatives for me with doing keto. Sure I love carbs and sugar as much as the next person, but the food is actually delicious on keto. I stay full and not constantly hungry like previous times in my life when I've tried to "diet". And you can still have bread-like dishes by substituting almond flour or dessert by using sugar alternatives like Swerve (erythritol).

Enter The Keto All-Day Cookbook. I'd already meal-planned 3 months worth of dinners before I received this cookbook so I did have to make some adjustments to that plan in order to actually try some of these dishes before reviewing the book. (If you're interested in hearing how I meal-plan so far in advance let me know and maybe I'll do a post about it.) My immediate reaction to the cookbook is that these recipes are a bit intensive and complicated, and some of the ingredients are odd and not ones that I either have on hand or am interested in buying (psyllium husk anyone?). I'm sure those ingredients are necessary and have been tested with and without them to ensure the best recipes. So I found myself skipping several recipes that I would have otherwise been interested in trying. I thought about making the recipes and just leaving those ingredients out, but I assumed that they were there for a reason that I didn't need to mess with.

I do particularly like the layout of each recipe. There's a picture with almost every single dish--which is always a pet peeve of mine with cookbooks (not having pictures). There's a section with easily identifiable icons for things like allergies or vegetarian dishes. She's included a tips section or just general information about each recipe. There's the recipe itself. Sometimes there will be additional notes. Nutrition facts are listed--exactly the things you need to know most when on a keto diet.

My biggest negative to The Keto All-Day Cookbook is the complexity of the recipes. I need fast, simple, easy. I like to provide my family with delicious meals, but with two children three and under, I need quick and easy. And while the recipes that I did try from the cookbook were all delicious, I just prefer simple overall, and I've found that more from just searching Pinterest. (Check out my Keto Board where I make comments on the pins I've tried with how they've worked for me or any adjustments I've made.) The Keto All-Day Cookbook gets 4 Stars. Have you read The Keto All-Day Cookbook? What did you think? Let me know!

Fair Winds Press and NetGalley provided me with an electronic copy of The Keto All Day Cookbook: More Than 100 Low-Carb Recipes That Let You Stay Keto For Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner. I was under no obligation to review this book and my opinion is freely given.

This cookbook contains recipes that are designed for a Keto-friendly diet. The page layouts are very attractive and include both photographs and nutritional information, so that readers can get a true picture of the finished dishes. Divided into sections including Basics, Breakfasts, Snacks and Appetizers, Soups and Salads, Lunches, Dinners, Drinks and Desserts, and Extras, The Keto All Day Cookbook is organized in a logical fashion that follows the traditional progression of a meal.

Somewhat new to the idea of a Keto diet, I was surprised to learn how involved the recipes can be, often including ingredients that may be unfamiliar to some readers. The Keto diet is one that I would not recommend to readers without the advice of a doctor, but using some of the recipes in this book as occasional meals can help inspire a new way of eating. Not all Keto recipes are high fat and many are nutritionally balanced between fat, protein, and low carbohydrates.

The breakfast recipes include too many variations on egg dishes and not enough of anything else. Many of the appetizers and snacks are heavy, laden with creamy butter and eggs. I would like to try the Peri Peri Roasted Nuts (p. 49), as they are nutritionally balanced and a great way to combat those mid-day cravings. In the soup and salad section, Keto variations of Hungarian Goulash (p. 66) and Chicken Caesar Salad with Poached Egg (p. 72) are interesting twists of classic favorites. The low starch lunches are mostly labor intensive, making preparation the day before a key component for success. The recipe that I would most like to make is the Mexican Chicken Bowls (p. 85), as the avocado-feta salsa that makes up the base of the dish is a well seasoned and flavorful backdrop to the marinated chicken. In the high fat dinners section, there are vegetarian dishes as well as meat ones. Broccoli Mushroom Alfredo Casserole (p. 94) will have eaters not missing the meat in this well balanced and tasty dish. Healthy Fish Sticks with Tartar Sauce (p. 97) can be made kid friendly or lunch appropriate as Fish Tacos, with its slaw providing crunch and tartar sauce for its creaminess. Keto Kung Pao Chicken (p. 114) has an explosion of flavor with its marinated chicken and nutritionally sound vegetables. There are some amazing sugar-free drinks and desserts, like Chocolate and Raspberry Truffles (p. 142) and Creamy Dark Hot Chocolate (p. 154). Finally, the author ends the cookbook with sauces and marinades, the perfect accompaniments to many different dishes.

Some of the ingredients in this cookbook are expensive and many not be readily available, so that is something that readers should keep in mind when choosing The Keto All Day Cookbook. I found a lot of the main dishes to be intriguing and I look forward to trying some of the recipes, although I am skeptical about making a switch to a Keto lifestyle.

Martina Šlajerová's new cookbook Keto All Day, is just that, a nice collection of recipes covering the three main meals of the day with additional recipes covering snacks, drinks, desserts and sauces all adhering to the Keto diet concept. Keto in its simplest form is eating foods that are low-carb and high in good fats. Šlajerová does a nice job covering the basics of the diet but this is not designed to teach keto but to offer interesting recipes for the keto follower. Each recipe is laid out with the detailed ingredients, easy to follow instructions and a brief intro that includes variations and tips. At the bottom of each recipe she has included the nutritional facts which I appreciated. I like the creativity of the recipes and the pictures included are very appealing. My boyfriend and I tried the bacon wrapped chorizo meatloaf that was very tasty and loaded with flax in it. I look forward to trying the rest.

With the popularity of the Keto way of eating, I've come across no shortage Keto cookbooks. Martina Slajerova's The Keto All Day Cookbook presents a lovely designed cookbook that features unique recipes from soups, sauces, lunch, dinner and everything in between. I really liked the layout of the book and the lovely colors used throughout. And I appreciate the addition of photos as I've come across so many cookbooks without actual photos. Another nice feature is the inclusion of macronutrients. Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for providing a digital copy for review purposes. For anyone looking to add a little variety to their keto/low-carb lifestyle, this will be a handy reference to add to their collection.

Great Keto cookbook! I really appreciate: icons for nut free/ dairy free/ vegetarian, etc; grams/ oz listed along side of cups needed in the recipe; nutrition facts listed, and the photos of what the recipes really look like. I also like how some of the recipes have variation listed (like cauliflower rice, 3 ways). I do need to pick up a few things for my pantry - like ghee and psyllium husk powder. Our favorite recipe so far is Ham and Cheese Bread Rolls. My hubbie wants the crispy chicken wings next, and when I feel adventurous, the Vegetable Rose Pie looks really cool!

As someone who is new to the keto lifestyle, this book was a very helpful with lots of recipes. I really enjoyed that the recipes were easy to follow and that there were tips to help you stick to your new lifestyle. The pictures of the food looked delicious! The layout was great and I'm especially looking forward to making the keto tortilla recipe, since not being able to have tortillas for tacos was a huge deal breaker for me not trying to keto diet before.

I really like this book. If I’m honest I had no idea what the keto diet was but keep hearing about it, it’s low carb essentially. Looking through the recipes in this book I was pleasantly surprised with the dishes on offer and how appetising they look. I can’t wait to try the cauliflower rice with halloumi which looks amazing. Pleasantly surprised.

I received a temporary digital copy of this book from Netgalley for an honest review.

Another great keto cookbook by Martina. My only complaint is I would prefer a cookbook with all new recipes since I own a lot of her others and quite a few overlap.

This book has some great recipes, which work really well for Keto. Lost a point as the index at the back is not logical and does not make dishes easy to find by food group.

I received a copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for a fair review.  Going into this book I honestly didn't know much about the Keto diet, despite having heard of it from multiple people. So I figured that reading this cookbook would be a good way to learn more and also potentially find some good recipes.

Unfortunately this book was not for me, also the diet is not for me. I love potatoes far too much to ever try this. :D But that wasn't the only reason that I didn't find recipes that I would enjoy. First off this book did not have enough photos of the food and recipes. What I love most about cookbooks is how the pictures draw me in. This wasn't the case for this cookbook. And the few photos that were in the book looked unappetizing.  There was too much going on the in the recipes, and I didn't like the food combinations.  "Turkey Nuggets with Kale stew and Italian Dressing" feels like it's going too many directions at once.

I think I found a single recipe that I wanted to try and it was for crackers. So that about sums up my feelings for the book.  In the end I gave it 2 stars. Maybe it was just me because I didn't like the diet after learning about it, but also I think this book could have used more photos and I would have liked it a little more.

After watching the video on Netflix about the Keto diet, I wanted to see how easy or hard it was to live off of this diet, I must say even as easy as this cookbook gave instructions, there is no way, I could do it daily. I guess I am a huge grain eater. LOL

Martina Slajerova knows how to make recipes easy to read and follow, each recipe is very detailed and explained very easy, so anyone could follow and the book has great pictures.

Now, as for the diet itself, there are ingredients in here I have never heard of or even seen before in my lifetime and that is saying something because I have always used harder recipes with ingredients that made me Google or look up in books, but quite a few of these are just really questionable. I am sure Amazon has every ingredient that is offered in this cookbook, but the thing is I am not an online grocery shopper so if my local Kroger doesn’t carry the ingredient then it’s a no go for me and some of these ingredients are not at my local market.

I would definitely recommend this for experienced Keto cooks.

I love a good cook book and the fact that it was Keto made me want to check it out even more. The recipes seemed a bit complex. So if you're looking for quick meals, this is not your book. There were great pictures and some of the meals looked positively yummy. I would recommend this book for the experienced Keto-inspired cook.

We all look for a way to improve our health and well being, especially through the foods we eat. Keto is the current trend in making a difference by controlling your diet. I had done some research into Keto and learned that it is relatively easy to adjust and follow your diet but difficult to plan out a complete makeover that you can enjoy.
This cookbook gives many tips and tricks on how to complete that makeover then gives you several excellent recipes that will keep you from feeling cheated when you start missing your favorite snacks. I found it very easy to follow and get excellent results without spending all day in the kitchen. This is an excellent book for anyone who is serious about Keto dieting. I'm gifting it to my support group.

The best keto cookbook I've read - and I've read over a hundred.

I started my keto journey four years ago before keto was a 'thing'. I quickly lost 75 lbs in a few short months and committed to the process. Unfortunately, I fell off the wagon and slowly gained back about 50 of those pounds over several years, and now travel full time. Keto isn't the easiest for me to follow while traveling (especially to tropical countries), so I'm always on the lookout for a keto cookbook that fits my needs.

What are my personal keto needs? Easy to make, simple ingredients, and something that appeals to my palate.

A lot of the keto cookbooks I've read miss on several of these requirements. Either they have weird ingredients (that I'm familiar with in North America, but not elsewhere), or they're repeats of the free recipes I've found online elsewhere. The most recent keto cookbook I've reviewed wasn't even keto!

The Keto All Day Cookbook fulfills all these needs of a devoted keto fan, and more. Yes, I've seen some of these recipes before (there are only so many veggies you can use if you're strict keto), and I'm familiar with the concept of 'induction' (the first few days, or weeks, where your body acclimatizes to burning fat instead of carbs). This cookbook covers them all, without the mumbo-jumbo that an experienced keto-tarian already knows. Added bonus - there are a few vegetarian recipes!

Highly recommended for experienced keto eaters in need of some new recipes, or newbies to keto that only need recipes and have a handle on the needs of this diet,
