I could have chosen to say nothing. It would have been far simpler to keep what happened to myself. But my heart attack generated a near-death experience that essentially rendered me a completely different person once I returned. At first, my wife thought it was the post-operative drugs that made me that way. But I knew that wasn’t it. I’d been to the other side, you know...up there, the place you go once you’ve died. As a consequence, I’d returned utterly transformed. From my perspective, you would have thought the assorted improvements might have been welcomed. Evidently, that assumption was incorrect.
