I almost don’t know what to say or how to find words to describe how powerful this book has been for me, how grateful I am for how it’s shaped my thinking.

I found this book somehow at a time when I was gathering all of my capacity to start being braver and start making different moves inside of a complicated organization rife with manipulation and control. I knew I was needing to change how I was showing up for my own survival- and to have the impact that I knew was needed around me. This book helped me build a powerful lens of analysis that I need to be effective and to be me at the same time.

I read this book at a slow-pace so I could metabolize it’s wisdom and integrate it but by bit into my communication choices and then into my leadership moves. This book is packed with a scaffolding that changed how I see the world and will inform every action I make moving forward.

So thorough, inspiring, practical and rich. For me, it read like a textbook a novel a memoir and an essential guidebook in all of the best ways. I will be going back to it again and again to expand my thinking and apply the frameworks and tools in my work.
