Packing 85 stories of ambition filled communicators in one volume makes for intense reading. Every one of us swarming on this planet is touched by these leaders. I took breaks and used this colorfully arrayed artisan book as a peruse work.
The qualities of guile, nerve and how to express that energy to others so that they take action are the takeaways I gleaned from this volume. It is one of publisher DK's series of three-scientists, leaders and entrepreneurs.

DK is noted for a plethora of well-designed books and many need-to-know subjects. In this case, it is “Leaders that changed history”
The title is a tad misleading as it is more people, we should know about that created history as we know it.
The book is divided into chronological order from 2000 BCE to the Present. What is the present? The copyright is 2019.
Most people get a half column of information, and a few get pages. Who knows who decides who gets what length of writeup? So, there are bound to be readers that disagree with the length or content. Political leaders seem to get the lion’s share. Look at this as more of a starting point of “leaders” you may have missed.
Illustrated with full-color double-paged spreads, this commendable conglomeration of empire-building and efface-earning individuals details defeat, digressions, and personal discretions of a great majority of chronologically listed. world leaders who, in conjunction with their supporters, detractors, and contemporaries, have shaped both the historical and contemporary cultural and moral landscapes in today's world, continuing to both affect and influence the lives of millions of individuals now currently living.
A brief coverage of 311 leaders who in their own way have had a profound effect on our lives. Clearly this is not an indepth coverage of the individuals, but an outline that provides the major details then helps you decide if you wish for further indepth reading. Most 15 year olds would not be excited to receive this book as a gift, but if the kid has any activity between the ears this book would over the years become tattered.
very educational, maybe the approach is what concerns me. I would always prefer reading 10 pages for 50 people rather than 2 pages for 250 people. It’s just overwhelming, I get that they want to put more historical periods, more people that “changed and reshaped history”, but I still believe you can’t learn everything about this world in the frame of 450 pages. I usually never say this, but after all sometimes less is better than more. if you are bored and want to elevate your common knowledge, you can read this. I found it in the trash. But that’s how it goes with me: stray cats, forgotten books, abandoned things. I always seem to adopt things that everyone forgot about.
I thought it's going to be more in details of what made them a leader, why and how But it was more reviewing and introducing them! which wasn't useful to me
A decent overview of leaders throughout history that can help fill some gaps in your general historical knowledge. At times it ventures into Wikipedia level retellings although it’s still worth a need to top up a high school level of history learning.
