When you live like a hermit, no one can hurt you or say they love you and then stand you up at the altar. Which is why he rejects the handsome young omega who tries to chat him up at a birthday party an acquaintance dragged him to. Sure, the younger man was cute. But Jack had learned his lesson. Then the same omega is the phlebotomist at his doctor’s office, ready to draw his blood sample. By the time Jack finds Will broken down at the side of the road, he can no longer deny the fates are throwing them together. But it doesn’t mean he’s going to go along with it.
Will’s life is fine. Really fine. A skilled phlebotomist who travels to various doctor’s offices and, occasionally helps out at the local hospital, filling a need in the rural area around Mapleville, he works long days and spends his limited free time with lifelong friends. Sure, he’d love to meet the right alpha and fall in love, but what are the odds in a small town where he already knows everyone? But one glance at the silver fox standing aloof at a friend’s party and his smooth world tilts off its axis. He’s crushing hard, and the alpha couldn’t care less.
The fates will not be denied when it comes to true mates. Once they connect, Jack and Will’s relationship soars, but one of them has a secret that threatens to destroy their life together, even with a baby on the way. When it’s revealed, the other will have a big decision to make. Will it be wedding bells or single daddy on the weekends?

This was book 9 in the "Mapleville Omegas " series. We met both of these characters in the last book. Jack Hendrix is a silver fox alpha who lives like a hermit. While at Tak's birthday party he meets Will an omega when he tries to talk to him he just walks away. Will is a skilled phlebotomist who travels to various doctor’s offices and, occasionally helps out at the local hospital. While drawing blood at a doctor's office he has to draw Jack's blood. While driving home Jack stops to help Will whose car breaks down on the side of the road so they go to dinner. This was a good read these two begin hooking up and Will brings Jack out of his hermit days. With a baby coming Jack knows its time to tell Will his secrets he is a billionaire. This was a good read that I liked a lot. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I think that this was the last book in this series. I will miss Mapleville.
4.5 Stars ~ I met Will in Chris and Tak’s story and I adored him. He is such an amazing best friend to Tak and is so kind, and thoughtful, too. I’m very happy the author wrote his story and since I got a glimpse of Jack in the same book I met Will in, I have a pretty good idea of how this love story is going to go.
Will is my idea of the perfect omega – he’s snarky and says what he thinks, but he isn’t cruel or insensitive. He has known since Tak’s birthday party that Jack is the alpha for him if only he can get through Jack’s fears. I wasn’t expecting to love Jack as much as I did. He’s grumpy, crabby, hates “to people” and I found him irresistible. Both men are gorgeous and so right for each other it was almost a little scary.
“Nosey ass.” I jutted my chin upward, proud of my little dig. “I’m not nosey. You’re the one who came over here to gossip about your hot little piece of ass.” I didn’t know why, but something about her calling Will a piece of ass lit a fire under me. “He’s not a piece of ass. He’s…” Vivian leaned forward and put her cup down. “He’s what?” Gods, she knew I would say it. “He’s my omega.”
PLEASE READ FIRST MY RATING SYSTEM!!! To my ratings (for all people, who wonder, why I say a 3*-book is a good book and should be readed): 5* - very very good and rare (it would be a Blow-Away-book like Liberty from Seth King or Save the kids series from EM Leya). it’s like an A+ 4* - very good and will be often reread and is a WOW-book with interesting plot and surprises (like most of Andrew Grey books) It’s like an A 3* - a really good book, which will be reread a few times (most romances where you can enjoy for relaxing and during waiting times in hospitals). I can recommend them definitively! It’s like an A-B 2* - it was ok to read, but it's more a one-time-reader (I wouldn't recommend it heartly, but it was ok) It’s like an C- D 1* - sorry, but that isn't really a book for me (maybe too many mistakes, not a nice plot, or unlogical story, so a NO-GO) It’s like failure in the whole line, dismissed, repeat the class
I loved Jack; he was so grumpy and standoffish, and all it was to hide the pain and loneliness that he was feeling. I'm glad that Will never gave up after the doctor's office. And that he put Jack in his place over his house. This was a great read.
Glad to see our grumpy alpha jeweler get his story and his happy ending. This series is fun and entertaining while being romantic and sexy. Another enchanting story in this series.
