"Our women cannot be wooed." Warned the King. "They have not met my men." The Sovereign replied. In Rowland, a kingdom void of love, where even a kiss is unheard of, Princess Illyria is the prim and proper niece of the King, his bodyguard, and has spent her lifetime working towards that which she desires most, the role of General over the royal army. On the eve of her wedding to a wealthy local nobleman, a mysterious foreign ruler intrudes the castle walls; a masked leader known only as "The Sovereign." King Hal of Rowland assumes this invasion to be a declaration of war, but instead the masked monarch strikes a strange bargain. 100 of Morwick's youthful male elite must face off against 100 of Rowland's most prestigious young noblewomen in the Sovereign strange encampment. Upon arrival, the Morwick's weapon of choice is nothing like Illyria could have ever expected; neither is Meridian, the suave, light hearted General of the Soveriegn's army. All is fair when love IS war. ______ **450 pages of meticulously, professionally edited literary gold** **Ranked #1 in Historical Fiction on Wattpad for 7 months straight**
You might imagine this book being all smut and no substance...it is not that at all.
I bought this as a teenager and I've read it a few times as an adult. You could argue it's an enemies to lovers but I can't say they are truly enemies...more misunderstood by one another and thrust together because of an agreement which makes them question what they know. It's such a subtly sweet and not overly excessive romance. A slow, tender burn.
When I think of this book I have fond memories and it's one I've kept and do re-read.
The only criticism I have, at least definitively is that I did find a few spelling errors throughout.
Reading this book was one of the greatest experience I have ever had. This book has its own twist to it. The plot, setting, and characters are very unique. This book made me feel things, I never thought I could feel something for a book. My emotions were everywhere. The “Bedding Camp” made me cry, laugh, angry, sad, you name it. If I weren’t so busy, I would go back and read this book over and over again. I think this book only relates to the people that aren’t really capable of love. Or people that don’t want to love. Not a love you feel for your parents, siblings, and friends, but love in a romantic way. It ends in a great way. There are so many plot twists. It is just an extraordinary book. This book gets you very attached to the characters. I was very attached to them as if they were real. At one point, I was getting angry when the main character was. I was happy when she was. This book had me feeling like I was really there. If you like a book that takes place in the 14th century, then this is for you. If you like a book that has to do with royalty, this is for you. If a book can make you cry, it is worth reading. Not because it made you cry, but because something so fictional can get you to cry. I have a certain genre that I like. I never thought I would be reading this book. You can find it on an app called Wattpad.
I read it on Wattpad never the final chapters im so glad i bought this book you could almost feel like you were there as a spectator the passion the fire The Chemistry Between the characters I loved every aspect of this book
From beginning to end it was so addicting!!! I loved the characters and the relationships formed between them. The way the author describes love is something like i’ve never seen before and its so sweet! It also has a great twist!!! Would definitely read it again!!!
This book is as amazing as it was the first time i read it. I cannot help but read it again, it had been my absolute favorite since a freaking long time. The plot, the characters, the sexual fucking tension omhgggawd. JUST READ IT ALREADY!
I came across this on Wattpad and truly enjoyed it. Each chapter left me wanting more and I was very pleased with how it turned out, I just didn't want the story to end.
I loved this book! It is full or culture clashes, plot twists and lovable characters. This book is a hidden gem by an up and coming author. I can’t wait to read her next book!
This is one of my favorite books! I love its originality. You can feel the connection the main characters have, but also that of other characters, which makes me yearn for more. It does get a little steamy at times, but it's not the purpose of the book.
