Nikki Sloane- aka Queen of Hot Times- has tried her hand at taboo book and fans will not be disappointed!
This is an age gap book between our heroine, Cassidy, and (GASP) her boyfriend's dad, Dr. Lowe (who I'm going to refer to as Dr. Daddy- side note, I love Cassidy's best friend!). I love the way these two bridge from their roles as Father/son's girlfriend (awkward) to two people who just connect, regardless of age. And the added taboo of how they met is hot!
Sloane brings the hot times in this book, but what was really fun to read was the banter between the two and the story that goes with it. This is not all just sexy times and an easy bridge to a relationship- the two have a lot to get over first- but thats what makes it fun! But don't worry, fans of the Blindfold Club series won't be disappointed with the heat level on this one.
The Doctor is a Standalone book and a lot of fun to read. If you like Nikki Sloane- you'll love this.

I saw ‘The Doctor’ recommended for those who love ‘Birthday Girl’ and I was excited to pick it up. Now don’t get me wrong, I really enjoyed this one, but it’s for me personally it was wayyyy too much steam and not quite enough story. Still, if you like the taboo element and you don’t mind that, it could be the perfect for you!

Can someone explain to me why a girl almost 20 years old, has a curfew?
The movie stuff is adorable especially because it’s totally a dad type thing to do. That’s why I like age-gaps, I like when those years are glaringly obvious.
And I don’t care if scrubs are baggy. There’s just something about a man in scrubs that gets me every time. 🤤
And then doctor role play? Yes, please!
The dichotomy of her birthday night was out of this world. I never thought a man could give up all control and still be dominating.
That emotional shit came out of nowhere, I didn’t foresee crying. But damn!
Overall a pretty sizzling romance. I liked Cassidy, her character was multidimensional and realistic for someone her age. Dr Gregory Lowe of course was delightful, I’m glad he proved he had a backbone because that had been a little emasculating. And the ending was sweet even if it didn’t really offer a lot of closure.

4.5 stars Finally- I read a book with true doctor kink in it
I’ve been craving a Doctor kink book for months now. I’ve read a few books with a doctor H, but this one really brought in the Doctor kink, and more than once- chef’s kiss in the kinky doc department 👏🏻.
Cassidy is 19, almost 20, and has been in a relationship with her boyfriend for a few years now, but things have gone stale. They rarely see each other and don’t have a meaningful connection like they used to have. For a while now, Cassidy has been seeing her boyfriend’s dad in a different light, in a more carnal light. Dr. Greg Lowe is 40 and a very busy man; as a trauma surgeon, he’s on call a lot and doesn’t have time to be in a relationship or even to see women casually. Either way, he’s been interested in Cassidy for a while, but she’s his son’s girlfriend, so she’s obviously off limits, until she’s not 😈.
Cassidy breaks up with Preston, but when she does it, he doesn’t take her seriously. He leaves to go to work in the middle of this conversation, again, not prioritizing their relationship or what she has to say. But guess who’s home when Preston leaves- yup, his father 😉. When Cassidy tells Greg that she and Preston broke up, they can’t help but indulge in the chemistry that’s constantly sizzling around them. The kiss they share is enough to solidify their connection, so when she comes back a week and a half later and gets brushed off by Preston yet again (she went to once again confirm that she was serious and they’re not together), all bets are off- let the sexy time begin 🔥🥵.
The secretive rendezvous was delicious🤤… although they hesitate (for obvious reasons) they can’t help gravitating towards their baser, primal instincts of being intimate and having lots of smex😅. True, Cassidy isn’t a v, but Preston was a selfish enough lover that she never knew what true passion was like, until Greg showed her exactly what she’s been missing 🥵🔥😅. -the H and h’s mom see each other at the store and the h’s mom overhears the H asking for restaurant recs in order to take his gf out- the mom tells the h about this “girlfriend” of his and h thinks the worst, but the H was talking about her the whole time 🙈

This was such a fun and sweet ex-boyfriend's dad romance. Just like with The Pool Boy, I loved how sweet this romance was and how the characters just genuinely liked each other and wanted to be with each other. I didn't for a second doubt that they genuinely liked each other, both physically and emotionally, and I was rooting for their HEA. I will say, I did like how there was more of an external plot in The Pool Boy and this book really only focused on the taboo romance between Greg and Cassidy. But, like I said, this romance was fun and I'd definitely recommend it for a lighter taboo romance!

Ever had a doctor fantasy? Well Nikki Sloane took that fantasy and didn’t just turn the heat up on it, she blew the damn thing up! This is a very wicked and erotic taboo story.
Set the scene with a devilishly handsome and charming Doctor Greg Lowe who’s twenty years Cassidy's senior and also her ex boyfriends Daddy. Cassidy is one naughty nineteen-year-old and the Doctor has just the cure!
So there’s a lot of sex in this book. Like a lot, like ¾ of the book a lot. It does not have a deep plot line that has you emotionally connecting yourself to the characters but that’s not what it was meant to be, it is relevant to the genre.
I would rank this on the lighter side of taboo- romance, but it’s sexy, entertaining and HOT! I was literally fanning myself with the pages!
This story was great, it was sexy, face paced and full of fantasies. I'm off to see my Doctor now!
OVERALL
This is not a book for everyone, obviously due to the age gap and taboo aspects, but if you’re not sensitive to these issues and you’re after stimulating and satisfyingly sexy read then this will hit the spot!

The doctor is a fast paced, quick, sexy read that will have you cranking up the AC at warped speed! It was taboo, raunchy, and just enough erotic moments to make you gasp and give you that thrill of knowing you’re about to go into forbidden territory.
Have you ever had a fantasy that was so forbidden and dirty in your mind that you know for a fact that pigs will eventually fly before it comes true? We’ve all been there, thought that, and nineteen year old Cassidy is no different. Though the issue with her fantasy is that it involves a certain person who is more than off limits to her and that person is none other than her ex boyfriend’s father who happens to be a very hot doctor. Yup you’ve read that correctly so there’s no need for me to repeat that. Having a crush on him is one thing, but starting a sexual relationship and falling for each other? That’s a big no no. But tell that to your heart and the sexy surgeon.
Now everyone knows that I LOVE forbidden romance and I’m a sucker for age gap. I love the seductiveness, the eroticism, that feeling of knowing you’re about to walk in uncharted waters but you just don’t care anymore. I love it al!! so when I saw this book, I knew I had to have it and I don’t regret it. I enjoyed seeing Greg and Cassidy together and liked the fact that he didn’t play any games and knew exactly what he wanted.
As much as I loved these two and I cant believe I’m about to say this: There was way too much sex and not enough storyline for me. I needed MORE. I needed more from the plot, more from the characters, just MORE and I feel like the sex overshadowed everything and was just a driving force. This is my first time reading anything from this author and I have to say that this woman can write a sex scene like no other but I just needed a deeper plot to fall more in love with this story.
If you’re looking for a quick hot taboo read, then this one is for you.

I think this is one of those “it’s not you, it’s me” situations. I’ve tried this “boyfriend’s dad” trope a few times and I’ve yet to read one that works for me.
There’s something about a “man” willing to forever alienate his son for young p*ssy, that just never flies with me. These dudes scream midlife crisis and weak weak “man”. And the author can tell me over and over that he’s alpha, but I just see a head case narcissist desperately chasing his youth. Not hot. 🤷🏼♀️
This one tried hard to straddle the line. It felt like she went back into a completed story and added a line about “shame in his eyes” to all the sex scenes to make him seem like less of a selfish ass, but it just made him seem more pathetic to me. I would have much preferred him to own his shit and be confident in his moves.
I think the son’s easy acceptance of the situation was supposed to right the wrongs, but it felt really abrupt and completely unbelievable.
Also, if the author had demonstrated that these two had a real relationship/connection before he saw her screwing his son, that might have helped. But as is, it just felt like he saw a real live Barely Legal porn in his backyard and decided he’d like to sample the goods. 😬
Anyway.
I tried.
Bottom Line? This gets 2 stars because I did actually finish and this “doctor” book actually includes some doctor kink, which is rare. I don’t believe this HEA at all. Can you imagine Christmas in this family?? 👀🙈😵💫🥴 besides, this guy will move on to the next hot young thing when he starts to feel uncomfortable with aging again.

Taboo, steamy, a bit of angst. Essentially a “my ex’s dad” trope, so you get the age gap and the secret forbidden aspect. It’s a good read if this is what you’re looking for. Not much else happens outside of the angst that comes with this trope and hot naughty bits. All in all a good read if you want quick and hot.

The Doctor is not hot. Miss Sloane writing her story without the emotional connection between her characters. Only a lot of sex. I do like smutty like the other romance readers. But I need more background and more chemistry on the characters.
I skimmed the middle of the books because the smut scenes are boring. I want to like this book more than 2 stars, but I just can not.
