Rate this book
The Hunt is on. Stop the most powerful Magus, from gaining more power, and unleashing ancient Gods. The fate of the world is at stake. After the events and revelations during her time travel, Amanda finds herself back in the modern day. But the situation has changed. Where previously, Yasmin had been limited in what she could do to Amanda, now that the Time Travel has happened, the gloves are off. In an attempt to pre-empt Yasmin's attacks, Amanda starts to hunt Yasmin down, working her way through the Nomads closest to the infamous Arch Master, hoping to locate Yasmin and the Lazarus Scroll. But Yasmin has plans of her own and works towards uniting several Magical artefacts that will grant her power, unlike anything the world has seen for millennia. With the Voodoo Queen also out for Amanda's blood and Mary of the Inquisition getting ever more desperate to hurt Amanda, the situation is getting ever more desperate. Amanda must continue her fight against the darkness before it consumes everything.

Wow; what are ride!! While most authors who have a great first book then go on to drag their story arcs out over multiple books whose quality diminishes so terribly they are sadly tragic train wrecks not even worth reading, this author is just getting better and better.

Also, I can’t believe how fast Andrew Dobell cranks his stories out. G.R.R. Martin could learn a lot from messieur Dobell!!

Magi Descent is book 6 of the Magi Saga and is an excellent read as the authors style continues to mature and improve. The pace of this book is epically frantic but without sacrificing story detail or plausibility. Character development continues and story arcs and plot lines converge really nicely without detracting from the action.

Seriously cannot wait for book 7 - Magi Rebirth…..

Holy fkstx this was a good read in the ending was massive

No spoilers but this had a huge cliffhanger ending. Maybe one of the larger ones. I've read a lot of fun to read a lot of drama. A lot of great setup for future work. Depending on where things go from here. I'll be cracking the cover of the next one shortly busting through these books one a day.. That's how much fun they've been to read

Wow another great in the Magi series. Yasmin is more dangerous now than ever. Amanda and Yasmin are going to go at it. Such strong characters to make this epic book a sure winner for everyone to enjoy. Definitely can’t get enough of this series, hope it never ends. Don’t miss out once it’s released.

Into a new future

Amanda has lived her past, and can no longer rely on knowing what is to unfold. She has enemies to deal with, as always, but is now stronger than ever before. There are other things going on, and we switch between Amanda and the others. It definitely builds suspense! We see a furious battle with a shocking ending. I cannot wait to start reading Magi Rebirth.

Summary: I'm not a great fan of urban fantasy, but I quite enjoyed this little romp. It doesn't take itself too seriously and their is obviously a bigger story unraveling, but this is a sort of coming of age start of a series

Plotline: Not too sophisticated, but moves forward nicely

Premise: Urban fantasy, so I'm not a big fan

Writing: Engaging, light

Ending: Yep

Pace: Never a dull moment!

My but Amanda is having problems with Yasmin in this book. It even ended on a cliffhanger, sadly. Last book in the series, here I come!! I need to know how it turns out in this battle of good against evil.

Shocked

Be warned there are shocks in here. Andrew has excelled himself. Very fast paced and unexpected events. Must have the next one, now.

While I enjoy the series, I took 2 stars off due to the irrelevant "game playing section" apart from being page content filler is has NO bearing on any plot, sub-plot or character development.
