The past is called the past for a reason. Two years, four months, and three days ago, I walked away from my life to save myself. I’ve moved on, but never forward. I don’t want to look back; all I want is my sister and to get the hell out of Archer’s Creek – but he won’t let me. Always there, he refuses to let my secrets stay hidden. He’s not my type: old, opinionated, and dangerous – I hate him. Except when he touches me; then I don’t hate him at all.
Blade.
The person you are is a product of the things you do. The last ten years I’ve found ways to deal with the shadows that haunt me. My life is good: ride-club-fuck repeat. I don’t want or need anything else. But now there’s her and I can’t stay away. She’s angry, lonely, and hiding a past that might be as dark as my own. She hates me, and I love it.
Gemma Weir is a half crazed stay at home mom to three kids, one man child and a hell hound. She has lived in the midlands, in the UK her whole life and has wanted to write a book since she was a child. Gemma has a ridiculously dirty mind and loves her book boyfriends to be big, tattooed alpha males. She's a reader first and foremost and she loves her romance to come with a happy ending and lots of sexy sex.
Blade’s story but really it’s all Nikki, heartbreaking and the struggles that she’s gone through oh this one pulls at your heartstrings. Beautiful story, horror, and what happens in the aftermath from surviving a monster.
The start was great, the story was involving and the characters were badass, funny and took no shit home, I was loving it, until close to 80%. It went down hill for me than. But overall a good book to past time.
Blade is book three in the Archer's Creek series and features Nikki and Blade. Nikki is Dove's sister from book two and she has just crashed back into Dove's live after presumably being dead. But Nikki disappeared and built a life hoping to come back and save her sister from their father's clutches.
When Nikki does return though things are not what she expected and everything she has worked towards and the life plan she had worked out goes up in smoke. When confronted with Blade there is a huge enemies-to-lovers vibe happening. Both Nikki and Blade have painful and traumatic pasts but they may be able to put each other back together if they can get past each of their carefully constructed walls.
Let's talk about Nikki. Really liked her...she was strong and fearless but damn...she could be mean. Her constant push away from Blade got tedious as well. She has been through a lot so I have to give her credit for building herself a life...even though it's empty and devoid of connection and intimacy. I would have liked to see her a little more soft with Blade.
Blade...older biker and hot as hell. But some of his inner monologue was crude and I questioned if he really did care for Nikki the way she needed. I also don't care for the references to biker women that service the MC. I understand that may be the culture but meh it's just gross to read about the hero with them when we've met the heroine. I did love his possessiveness though.
This was pretty steamy but I think it lacked some true emotional connection between the MCs. I wouldn't say there was much of a plot here in terms of suspense and action but overall not a bad read. I think going into these books I was expecting Gemma's Mountain Men series men and I am just not getting that here so it's bumming me out. However, if you like MC romances with steam and banter then this might be up your alley.
I did like Blade and sometimes I didn't enjoy him. also I skipped book 2 because I saw a review of something I didn't like. And didn't know it happens in this one to so It brought down my rating. I was going to dnf but I did promise myself to keep reading.
He is our oldest biker? (I think) in this series and he loves Dove who happens to be Daisy old lady like a sister. Now Dove long lost "dead" sister came back and wants Dove to come with her. He's already annoyed and pissed at Nikki because he doesn't know her and wants to protect his MC family. So there already some fire in hate between the two. As for Nikki she has waited 2 years to get her sister free and I don't blame her what she went though poor girl and not knowing her sister went though the same thing the type of abused her crap father did to her. Blade also had some tiny demons that Nikki took care of when he would sneak into her bed 🤣🤣
Now the tension between Blade and Nikki i swear he pushed her buttons to get her pissed i love she pushed back. But lord the push and pull did annoy me after the 82920 push away. It got annoyed after awhile. Am I going to read the others in the series no im good.
Why my low rating had to do with the push/pull it was a waste to be honest if it happened few times yes. But it was alot. The 2nd thing. Blade got a BJ from a club woman after meeting Nikki and was having those feelings. So yeah didn't enjoy it.
No om drama slight ow (we saw H get a bj), drama, slight secondary character, sexy times, no virgins and was kinda manwhore
Recommend-ehh Cover-⭐⭐⭐ Heat level-🌶🌶🌶
Slowinsta Push away from both Older/younger couple Mentions if sexual assaulted Abused No condom Hea Epilogue
This is Dove’s sisters story (Daisy and Dove was book two in the archer’s creek series).
Nikki has come back for her sister. She wants to take her away from the place they grew up. Away from the bad memories. She wants them to have a better life. What she finds is her sister settled down with a biker within an MC club. Nikki doesn’t understand her sister decision.
Blade can’t get the feisty red her with an attitude off his mind. Instead of getting annoyed with her he wants more of her. She says she isn’t into him or his MC.
These two have a complicated past. Both knowing evil and given up on finding peace. What they need is a strong connection.
Blade is older than Nikki. He is wise enough to see through her lonesome act. He is her man. She just doesn’t know it yet.
Another good addition to the series. These need to be read in order to understand the background story. 4 out of 5. Paperback read.
An enemies to lovers romance. A bossy biker and a stubbornly independent woman.
I loved Nikki and Blade. The push and the pull throughout was enough angst on its own.
Nikki is the sister of Angel who is with Daisy, if you have read precious books you will know who I am on about and will already have an understanding of Angel's upbringing and background with her abusive father and all that happened in their story. Nikki is Angels older and only sister who disappeared 2 years ago.
2 years Nikki has waited, planned and prepared to get her sister back and when Angel turns 18 Nikki has dreamed and planned to rescue her, take her away from their father only when the day comes she discovers Angel already has a white knight and a new family in the Sinners MC.
Nikki marching into the clubhouse demanding her sister doesn't go down well and the first person to feel Nikki's fury is Blade.
Only a biker would get hard over an angry woman and Nikki did that to Blade more than once.
"My Duchess is at her sexiest when she's spitting feathers and stamping her feet"
A great story I was completely engaged, loved the characters, I loved the way Blade called her Duchess (swoon) and no matter how much she pushed him away afraid to let anyone in he was persistent. It was great seeing previous characters too. Nikki is feisty but underneath vulnerable and Blade has his own nightmares but the bossy independent woman that tore into the clubhouse somehow calms him
"God I hate you" I hiss at him "Well, that's okay, cause I love you enough for both of us,"
With all the angst in Blade and Nikki's relationship, the constant barriers being put up by Nikki until the eleventh hour when Nikki finally let the pushy biker in, I would have liked more hea, I didn't get my fill and it felt more like a happy for now, that would be my only grumble about this book.
"You are the calm in a turbulent sea. You are heaven when I deserved hell. You are everything"
A good addition to the series though and I can't wait for the next one.
Told in first person. Can be read as a standalone. No cheating. Has a good balance of hotness.
This series just keeps getting better and better! I am in love with Blade but Nikki is my spirit animal. She sassy, strong willed yet vulnerable underneath it all. Blade can see this and has demons of his own.
I love Nikki! She's amazing and my favourite female character so far! She's got that 50's pin-up vibe going on and the attitude to match. She claims to hate Blade but you cannot dent the attraction between them. She can be quite a bitch though! I did get mad at her a few times for the things she said to Blade. Blade is the VP of the doomsday sinners and maybe the oldest? I'm not sure but I know he's got 20 years on Nikki. He has a dark past that only a few people know about, Nikki included, and his past haunts him. Nikki is is salvation.
Now, the sex. As in all of Gemmas books, the sex is off the charts hot but this time it's more so. You feel the sexual tension throughout the whole book and you can't wait for them to get it on. Plus, it helps that Blade has one hell of a dirty mouth.
It's frustrating as a reader to see two people that are ment for each other when those two people can't see it themselves. I shouted at my kindle more time than I would like to admit. Nikki needed to see what everyone else could see and it frustrated me when she couldn't and kept pushing him away.
This books is different from the others in a sense that it had less drama (this isn't a bad thing, and I do love drama!) But it was still an amazing read. I lost sleep over this book and I LOVE my sleep. This is 100% my favourite of the series so far!
This series just keeps getting better and better!!
I absolutely fell in love with Nikki and Blade...Nikki is by far my most favourite character. I loved her take no crap attitude, she is strong willed and was a little bit of bitch at times but wow did she also have a vulnerable side to her and Blade knows this. He has his own demons to fight and Nikki without knowing helps him.
The whole story was just amazing and I just wanted to keep reading. I have loved everything Gemma has written but this has to be my favourite definitely. I love her writing style, she knows how to add enough to keep you completely hooked but not too much that it becomes over much.
Amazing 5 ⭐️ read and I can not wait for more in this series. I love each and everyone of the characters.
I loved Blade. God was he amazing. Pushy, hard headed and just down right sexy as hell. Both Blade and Nikki have horrors in there past. Hell Nikki is Dove's older sister. I just love how hard headed the two lover birds are.
This review isn’t too enthusiastic because this book just wasn’t for me. I gravitate more towards a less stubborn heroine, and a less anger aggressive relationship.
Nikki and Blade had a hate sex relationship. Blade loved pushing Nikki’s buttons, Nikki built up walls around her self and was convinced that she didn’t even like Blade. The majority of this book was them arguing, to the point where Blade had to communicate via notes because being awake and around each other always turns ugly. We’d take a step forward, then a step back. Two steps forward, two steps back, on and on.
I was excited to read Blade’s book because of how protective and kind he was to Angel. I also wanted to know more about Blade’s past, and the demons he has. It was a little bit of a bummer that Blade’s book saw him being cocky, angry, and yelled at. Blades previous profession as a contract killer, and his resulting nightmares and guilt wasn’t as deep as I thought it should have been (it was kinda vague). I would’ve loved to have spent more time really getting to know him.
Nikki was a strong, independent, quick to anger heroine... kinda like a cat.... anyway, I’m all for strong, independent women IF they’re willing to be submissive to their Hero. Nikki was willing to be a fucking bitch to intentionally push Blade away. I get it, I get it, trauma from her childhood. But if this book was 250 pages long, 248 of those pages were of Nikki fighting it and, for me, the shit got old.
I was craving the love, man! Where is the love?
What I thought was cool though was how often Daisy and Angel made appearances. I love those two!!
Like I said, it wasn’t for me. Nothing against the book. If you enjoy mostly hate to a little bit of love, angry sex and constant bickering, then this will be perfect.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Big badass heroine comes to rescue her sister, only to realize she’s part of a biker club. It is there she meets the older, overbearing, cocky hero and they lock horns. He’s instantly intrigued by the spunky heroine with sad eyes, but can’t leave her alone. We delve into her past trauma, and see the hero fall for her. I have two issues with this book, (fine with age gap) First, if you want me to like the hero- I don’t want them to have sex on page with other women or lust over them. Secondly, the story went from being fun to really dark in the second half, no mention of the dog and the heroine lost all her spark. I mean I understand why the plot changed, but it threw me off.
I really enjoyed this one, it was sexy and gritty with some sass and some super sweet moments thrown in and I really hope there will be more from this group in future books!
"Know that when I'm in your bed with my arms wrapped around you, I find more peace than I ever thought possible."
It's safe to say this was definitely the most anticipated book of the series so far for me! I loved the previous books - especially Daisy - so I was so damn happy for Angel when Nikki stolled back into the land of the living and I couldn't wait to find out what the hell had happened (because seriously...she's meant to be dead, man!)
I'm happy to say that Gemma didn't disappoint and Nikki was everything I'd hoped she would be and more! Blade, however? Not gonna lie, I wasn't sold on him at first (nobody is replacing Daisy as my number 1) and I totally couldn't see the two of them as a couple, but somewhere along the way I easily changed my mind and felt a little silly for ever doubting them (and him).
"maybe, a small voice inside me says, it's because you recognise the dark and twisted bits of her and think they might soothe the blackened parts of yourself"
I feel like since the first books, the drama in this series has gotten a little heavier, first with Angels background in the last book and it only goes a little deeper and gritter in this one as we delve into Nikki's past. I really felt for her and Blade both and how the two of them helped each other heal and move on really was lovely to be a part of.
" God I hate you" I hiss at him "Well, that's okay, cause I love you enough for both of us"
This is by far my favourite of the Archer’s Creek series in this book we follow Nikki and Blade as they dance around their attraction and demons in their search for love, acceptance and a second chance in life. Nikki is definitely my favourite heroine in this series she’s strong, sarcastic and takes non of Blades shit ! Blade, OMG Blade ❤️ I want that man at 44 he’s a little older than most book boyfriends but with age comes experience and he has loads of that ! He also has a vulnerability that endeared him to me, oh a a dirty mouth ! Did I mention that dirty mouth ! There’s a few up and downs, highs and lows in the journey of redemption and love this story and the authors superb writing kept me entertained and captivated from the first word right though to the very end ! Can’t wait to return to Archer’s Creek it’s one of my favourite places to be !
Blade by Gemma Weir is book Three in the Archer's Creek series. This is the story of Nikki and Blade. I do feel you should read the previous book to fully enjoy this one. This was such a page turner for me. Nikki is back looking to help her sister now that she is established enough to do so. But she is finding that things aren't going to be that easy. Blade is the VP of the Doomsday Sinners MC and is older man who has his own demons. But when he sees Nikki she is younger than him, has a lot of sass and not a push over. Both do the dance around each other with their strong attitude but both start to know that they can't ignore their feelings. I thought the last book 'Daisy' was so a great book but this one I think is now my favorite. Really enjoyed this book!
Another good addition to the Archer’s Creek series. Blade is definitely my favourite male character up to now...I mean, who doesn’t love a slightly older bad boy seeking redemption?

Review: This one was good in a different way. So…….Nikki is Nicole, Angel's (from Daisy's book) sister who was presumed dead. This book has more emotional plot points than the others and it's different for me and what I know of Gemma's work, and it was done well. What happened to Nikki to make her run away and leave her sister behind was awful. I knew it had to be bad, but it was terrible. And she tortures herself for it. The beginning of the book, you don't like Nikki. She seems judgmental and just comes off as a cold b!tch, but when you find out what happens to her, all is forgiven. She has very solid reasons for everything. And it’s heartbreaking. You think Angel had it bad? Nikki's life with their parents was a whole different kind of bad. Blade is a pretty straight forward character and the connection the two have is great. He didn't get the opportunity for a lot of the OTT behavior that I love, but that's why I'm saying this one was different. The focus was Nikki's journey and it worked for me. This is not your standard MC romance, but I still recommend it.

SNAP! This story starts out with a bang and doesn't stop. It picks up where Daisy left off and has Angel's "dead" sister Nikki storming the club to take back her sissy. She runs into Blade and it's hilarious and sexy. She puts it on the "old man" but good. But Blade's have done of it and puts her in her place...or tries to. Nikki is a sassy fierce woman that wants the best for her sister. She has planned for years to rescue Angel and is saddened when she learns of their father's treatment of Angel. Unfortunately hers was worse. Blade realizes that there's more to Nikki than her bravado and he plans to find out what it is. And when he does it's horrible but he's there for Nikki while she deals with her trauma from the past. Blade is wonderful and sexy and just what Nikki needs. These two are so sexy together with their steamy chemistry. Another wonderfully written MC story with fierce brothers, their feisty women, some danger, a tragic storyline and a sexy romance. Like the previous stories this isn't a dark, blood and guts MC story but focuses on the great characters and their relationships. Loved it! Can't wait for the next story. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC. 4.5 stars
Haters to lovers.... perfect combo. Loved this book, I love the whole series. Blade kinda stole me from Echo with his cocky attitude and intense sexiness, bit his broody bastard personality he has going on. Nikki knew how to stand up for herself and refused to be walked over by anyone, until Blade!! The intense sexual connection was epic, the way something snapped and BOOM, got sex anyone!!!!
Totally loved this story, looking forward to more.
Oh my word!! This installment picks right up where Daisy ended and Nikki comes in throwing ATTITUDE! I was hooked from the beginning with all of the drama. Blade doesn’t trust Nikki, but they have some explosive chemistry and the banter between the two is comical. I just love Nikki’s independent, feisty nature. Blade is fighting his own demons throughout the book and Nikki is right beside him. I can’t wait for the Archer’s Creek series to continue!
Ok so Blade is book 3 of the Archers Creek series and having read the first 2 (Echo and Daisy) and loved them I was eagerly awaiting this one and Gemma didn't disappoint. Blade is vice president of the Doomsday Sinners he is protector, he is looked up to from him fellow brothers but he is also alone and that suits him just fine he has club totty on hand when he wants it and a family next to him. And with little Dove now all settled and getting ready to flee the nest everything is calm again until it's not. SHE comes blowing into the club out of nowhere and creates all holy fireballs for everyone but as much as she is one scary lady she also turns him on.
Nikki has one thing on her mind when she storms in to the club, grab what she wanted and get the hell out of there. What she didnt account for was that she was barging into a family an that its a family that protect there own and with news of who she is making its way around the room she has questions that need to be answered. What else she doesn't account for is although she thinks she knows what she wants her heart wants something else can she let down her walls that she has built to protect herself?
I have rated Blade 5stars + because this a very well written MC book with a great story it's true, honest, vulnerable and so very real. Gemma pulls you and makes you feel every word you read.
Incredible talent that is Gemma Weir I can't wait to read what is next to come from her.
This was the first book I've read in this series, what's not to love about Blade a hot biker who gives Nikki who barges into the club looking for her sister Dove who's Daisy's old lady, of course Blade and Nikki who he starts calling her Duchess which I love, they don't like one another from the start. Anyways, Duchess moves to the town she ran away from for being abused and her parents told Angel that she was dead. Duchess has trust issues and likes to be her own person and very independent also she's a millionaire. Not going to spoil on what happens but its a true love story! need to read the first 2 of this series and the others that come.
Ok, well I claimed Daisy as my own but well. Blade! Blade is one sexy older guy at 44. I love that he’s older yet still badass. I love the relationship him and Nikki forge. She did get on my nerves at times but I feel that was the point, by the end when you understand her, you get it. Less traditional MC in the sense there is no major drama. But this couple have enough to overcome.
Gemma’s writing gets better with every book and Archers Creek is becoming somewhere I would like to visit. I can’t wait to see what is in store next for this world.
Wow this series is one of the best out there. I fell in love with Echo thought he was great. Then we meet Daisy and he is fantastic again I fell in love lol! Here in the 3rd book Blade is friggen Awesome he is such a hero in so many ways. I highly recommend this series.
Give me a sexy grey fox motorcycle man and then throw in an age gap romance and I'm in reader heaven. I couldn't wait to read Blade's story. He was so tortured, alpha and hot. When he and the fiercely independent Nikki go head to head, sparks flew. She's hiding her own demons and it was a thrill to watch these two realize together is better then alone. ❤️
I enjoyed reading this story because of its constant emotional turns, it's ups and downs. This story has substance which is nice change from other stories and their typical unicorns and rainbows.
This third installment in the Archers Creek Doomsday Sinners focuses on Nicole, Doves missing meant to be dead sister and the VP of the club, Blade. It's got everything, hot damaged Alpha male, sassy damaged heroine and lots of twists in the tail. I was hooked.
Book 3 in the Archer’s Creek series. This series follows the members of the Doomsday Sinner MC. You could certainly every book as a standalone, but I would recommend you read them all so you get a bit more on the backdrop and the individual characters stories.
** If you haven’t read Daisy and intend to, please stop reading to avoid spoilers**
So Nikki is back and her mission is to rescue her sister. Having spent the last couple of years finding herself and rebuilding her life, she now finds herself a successful business woman that can finally take her younger sister away Archer’s Creek, and all the bad memories that were made there. Thinking it will be straight forward now their parents are gone, she finds it even more difficult than she could have imagined. Angelique isn’t the girl she left behind, and she will need to get her away from Daisy, and the MC family she has acquired along the way. But an MC won’t stop them getting away from this town, although the VP might make it a little harder.
Blade loves his club and all his brothers. Live hard and play harder is his aim in life… because they keep his demons at bay. He has had a life that continues to haunt him and he can’t escape it. Until a certain, mouthy and hot as sin woman walks into his life. Is she too young for him? Probably. Is she too much hard work? Definitely. But she could be his redemption, and he might just be hers.
Seriously loving this series. Gemma’s storytelling is going from strength to strength and the characters stories she is choosing to write about really have that perfect way of drawing you in. This book in particular has a really good balance about it. 2 strong leads who are always going to bump heads, but in the most sizzling way. There is nothing better than pull and push between characters, and this book has it in spates.
So whilst you have a strong, independent woman who hides her ghosts behind her acid tongue, you have a man determined to find his happiness and a light in the darkness he has followed. They are great for each other, and at 44, Blade was a character I really enjoyed reading about.
Well done Gemma for another brilliant read. I am sucked into the Archer’s Creek world and can’t wait until my next visit.
