Viviwava means tales, legends, fables or myths. The stories in this anthology originate from the D’Entrecasteaux Islands of Milne Bay Province in Papua
New Guinea.

For many years, these stories have been passed down through generations by word of mouth. The tales, fables and legends in this anthology explained our beliefs about the world, taught moral principles or were simply told for
the sake of entertainment.
