Here's to the Alexa Riley July 4th release! In keeping with all things Riley, we have an inst- sort of love. You see these two have been eyeing each other for three years. Now that would be fine except with a true naughty twist, our girl Honor was fifteen the first time Washington saw her and fell hard. Also, he was a new recruit to the Secret Service to protect her father, the president.
And in keeping with trying to figure out the age spread on this...I did a little research. Washington was a Marine and the required service contract is eight years! So, let's say he was accepted seventeen years when he joined and did the full contract. He would be twenty-five when he transfers to the Secret Service. With three years of watching and working closely with Honor, he seems to be around twenty-eight when Honor turns eighteen.
With this mental backstory, I read this with the usual understanding of what Riley presents. This had a bit of intrigue and plot points. It had all the possessive, alpha male/caveman feels from Washington. Honor was a combination of a young woman who had to live a certain way because she was born into it... yet wanted another type of life.
Riley gives us the awakening of Honor and the brute need of Washington. Together they are the perfect couple.

Quick, smutty read,..
Not much plot and definitely not one of my favorites but currently a kindle FREEBIE on 05/28/2019 for Memorial Day holiday.
Also the hero lusts after her when she is only fifteen, not sure how I feel about that, but then again these novellas are mostly pure fantasy anyway.
I have to "suspend "all disbelief when reading any of them usually and I tend to rate them according to enjoyment factor alone.

I really enjoyed the story. It's a quick insta-love read and I felt their connection right from the beginning.
It's about Washington and Honor.
She's the President's daughter and he's the lead agent in her dad's security detail. Now, he's in charge of guarding her.
She wants him and she thinks he doesn't notice her. But he's just biding his time until she turns eighteen. He will do everything to have her and protect what's his.
It has cute epilogues.

Sweet and sexy story, obsessed and possessive hero and sweet heroine. I don't like stories about bodyguards but this short read was cute. Nice epilogue with one kid and pregnant heroine.

No esta entre las mejores de estas autoras pero es corta, ligera y rapida.
Estas novelas son ideales para desconectar o para ayudarte a completar el Challenge, al tener tan pocas paginas se leen en nada de tiempo.
Esta parte en concreto me resulto demasiado irreal y absurda pero como ya digo cumple su funcion de distraerte durante un ratito.

Like can we take a second to talk about the names of the characters? Our heroine's name is Honor, the love interest is names Washington, the president’s secretary is name July, and her code name with the secret service is Freedom? So many fourth of July references and I loved it!
I fell hard and fast for Honor and Washington! They were cute and just what I needed to a quick holiday read. I think Washington was the most alpha love interest so far! He didn’t even back down from the president. I love their story, especially the epilogue!
If you are in the mood for a holiday romance with some fireworks or just a romance at all, then pick this one up!

Alexa Riley never fails to disappoint perfect read for a quick lunch break.
Honor is the perfect role model and the perfect daughter of the president just about to turn eighteen she’s fed up of doing the right thing all the time especially when what she would rather be doing is the head of security Washington! She’s loved Washington since her eyes met his when she was fifteen and although she knows it’s wrong and her father won’t agree she wants him and feels the chemistry spark between and she’s not letting him go.
Washington has been in love with Honor longer than it’s right for him to have done so, he’s been counting the days to her eighteenth birthday to the time he can claim her as his. She’s his Freedom and he’s taking her no matter who her father is and no one will get in his way.
It’s cute, sweet, sexy and smutty all you expect from an AR book you’ll never be sorry of you but these books! Hoping we find out July’s and the presidents story please 😉 xx

Great story, I loved it. I love that he waited for her and there was no one else since he first seen her even though she was only 15. Slight push/pull but only cause he was waiting till she was 18. Wanting a quick political set romance to read? Protecting Freedom was a storyline that we have read and seen in many movies and a favorite of mine where the bodyguard falls for the president's daughter. Two of my favorite movies that include this are Chasing Liberty and First Daughter. Honor is the President's daughter and she is coming up to eighteen. Finally she will be an adult and away from her dad's thumb as she has been looking away at colleges. She is also ready to hand in her V-card and the lucky guy is Washington - one of the bodyguards that her father has left to protect over her while he is away on business with his secretary turned lover July. What happens though when the night Washington and Honor finally do it and pictures are leaked to the press? Will this be the end of the relationship before it has even begun or will it be the start of something more beautiful? Protecting Freedom was a quick sexy instalove read and perfect if you are in the mood for a fast read and something to satisfy an immediate craving.

Washington likes his job protecting the president, even if it does mean facing his biggest temptation on a regular basis: the president’s daughter. But at midnight tonight he’s going to make his claim on Honor, career be damned.
But this is an Alexa Riley novella. Which means everything works out without drama, without angst, and the happily ever after comes quick and easy!
Is this award-winning quality writing? Not even close. But Ms. Riley knows who she is and what she’s aiming for, and she nails it every time. It’s over-the-top, saccharin sweet, and ridiculously simplistic in how things work out. And that’s okay...as long as that’s what you’re aiming for. It’s instant gratification for a reader, and if I want to be reading something that’s pure entertainment without taxing my brain, Alexa Riley is my go-to author. Reading her books is completely satisfying - like eating a Snickers bar for lunch!
(But also, I know I should eat something more “nutritious” for my next meal. 😀 )

I love it in a book when a woman falls for her bodyguard it makes me wanna start singing I Will Always Love You by Whitney Houston. Honor is the daughter of the President of the United States and she’s a day away from turning 18. Her dad (Henry) was elected when she was eleven years old and that’s when everything changed. She misses the ranch they used to live on in Tennessee and would love nothing more than to move back there in six months when her dad’s term is finished. She has no desire to go to college like her dad wants she’d rather get married and have babies. She has a huge crush on Washington, he’s the lead agent in her dad’s security detail. She’s sure he probably only thinks of her as a kid and wouldn’t give her the time of day. Washington is very aware of Honor and he’s been making plans and biding his time since he first met her. Now he’s counting down the hours until she turns eighteen and then she will be his - forever.

Older man/younger woman romance , intense attractions, taboo feelings and sizzling heat. A lot is packed into this novella read. Honor is the daughter of the The President. She will be 18 in less than 10 hours. Washington is the President’s head of security and has been for the past 3 years. Washington feel head over heels in love with Honor the moment he saw her and knew he would make her his the moment she became legal. Think steamy, red-hot instalove, dirty talking alpha naughtiness, and sassy sweet innocence is what Alexa Riley is known for. I wish this novella was longer because this is so good, it will have you on the edge of your seat, begging for more. Honor and Washington make the perfect couple. Now can we get a book on Honor’s dad, the Pres? I feel a steamy story bubbling there. This is another winner from AR, if you like sassy, sizzling and taboo.

I Absolutely Loved "Protecting Freedom"!!! It was so so good!!!! The perfect Alexa Riley book and one of my Favorites by them!!!!
This book was short but so amazing!! It was steamy and super angsty and just everything I wanted!!! Honor and Washington are such a sexy freaking couple!!! So much forbbiden goodness is in this book and I LOVED it!!! This whole book was so good!!! It will definitely leave a smile on your face!!! Make sure you Read this one!!!!
