This was the second book I bought for my daughter to read before she went through the temple for the first time. The first book I had her read was THE HOLY INVITATION: UNDERSTANDING YOUR SACRED TEMPLE ENDOWMENT by Anthony Sweat, which was very good. My daughter wasn't wanting to read another book so I read this one and then gave her the highlighted version, which in the end was actually better.
This book talks more in detail of everything that is done in the temple that can be talked about. The symbolism behind it as well as the clothing worn and what it means.
I LOVED this book. Having it in questions makes it so easy for someone going through for the first time to only have to read WHAT questions they may have. For one who is fairly new to the church and hasn't had much exposure to the temple as a youth, this book explains everything. You don't have to feel afraid or that you are stepping into an unknown world after reading this. This book is an attempt to help make your first experience in going to the temple, enjoyable.

This is a wonderfully informative book about the temples of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It answered questions I didn't know I had and added to my understanding and knowledge about the temple and the work done therein.
Strongly recommend this book for any "Temple Saint" whether you have questions about the temple and all that goes on there, or not.

I found most of this book very helpful and clear to understanding more of what to expect to prepare for going to the temple. There are a couple of questions I wished were handled a little differently, but overall it is a good book to read before going, even though a few questions also need to be redone for changes.

Well researched and documented. Takes on tough questions and includes great historical context. Ideal for a person preparing to enter the temple, but many questions are great for even frequent flyers.

I think this is one of the BEST books out there for temple preparation within The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. It is both practical (the question/answer format makes it an easy-to-use resource/guidebook) and spiritually uplifting (lots of beautiful insights and explanations). I would recommend incorporating it into any temple prep regimen to help more members have a positive and beneficial first experience.
