Here's my attempt to review this TO DIE FOR book using the idioms i've learned so far. I just used one there 😁 This book should received a RAVE REVIEWS considering it is totally OUT OF THIS WORLD and I'm pretty sure its MILES AHEAD from other idioms books i've read before because it's easily comprehensible considered of having online audio, exercises and graphics. Certainly is THE BEE'S KNEES! The online audio is THE ICING ON THE CAKE of this book. They are classified by different themes and are colour coordinated too (slide left).
I was FULL OF BEANS that it made me GRINNED FROM EAR TO EAR when I received this book and I'm literally ON CLOUD NINE to be able to learn more about idioms through this book. Learning about idioms and expression could be quite A TALL ORDER, but I'm sure this book is a PROBLEM SOLVER because it presents over 1000 idioms and expressions in contexts, with clear visual guide with definitions and attractive illustrations that show each idiom’s literal and idiomatic meaning. It will help us to speak fluently and naturally. 5 words to describe this book; fun, helpful, interactive, comprehensible, and engaging.
💭 Now. I had PUT MY HEART AND SOUL into writing this review. I hope you guys liked it as much as I do. Rereading my own review made me laugh. I bet you wouldn't find other reviews with this much idioms in them 🤣
❤️ Slide left to see some of my favourite pages and which bookstores you can get a copy from. TQ @putrifariza @times.reads for sending me this book!
This is a great series. I use it for teaching ESL to adults. My students will really appreciate this book. It presents plenty of useful, common idioms and includes a good variety of exercises for practice and reinforcement. I find it particularly helpful that idioms and expressions particular to UK English are labeled. I teach English in the US and frequently have to point out British English in other resources.
This book presents a clear and uncomplicated focus on English idioms, whether you're newly aware of them or know a majority of them. There are even a handful of helpful writing tips which, for a writer or a proofreader, is a bonus. But perhaps most of all, this is something I'd definitely recommend to people with ASD (autism spectrum disorder).
All idioms in this book are classified by themes or situations, which is way better and effective than by alphabetical order! Not all the idioms are commonly used, but still worth reading. Colourful, logical and easy to use. It's definitely a great vocabulary resource for non-English learners.
Táto kniha je jednoznačne najlepším materiálom na učenie anglických idiómov a výrazov zatiaľ. Ak ste hľadali niečo takéto, konečne sme sa dočkali. Ďakujem vydavateľstvu za recenzný výtlačok ako aj za vydávanie tejto série. Rozhodne veľký palec hore :)
