LOGAN
Who would have thought breaking your dick would be so much fun?
I walked into the physio’s office, hobbling like a fool, and the last thing I expected to see was her.
She was going to be mine come hell or high water.
The only problem is, she’s got the weight of the world resting on her feisty shoulders, and she’s not the kind of woman to fall for my usual tricks.
Elle is gonna make me work for it, and I’ve never been so ready.

ELLE
What do you do when the captain of the Colorado Thunder ice hockey team sets his sights on you?
You run for the hills and hope he trips and falls into someone else’s vagi . . . love muffin.
Logan Waters is the bane of my existence. He’s gorgeous and has me ready to risk it all.
Shit. That was cheesy, wasn’t it? Let me try that again . . .
Ahem . . . *clears throat*
Logan Waters can kiss my ass.
Me and him . . . It’s never gonna happen.

This was a cute read. Logan was definitely the highlight for me. He was cheeky, playful and had the most infectious personality. His banter was elite.

Even though this was a super light read, I did struggle with the writing style and the rate at which their romance progressed. I felt it was really quick with little build up. The fmc had a traumatic background which had potential to be a critical part of the story, but it ended up holding very little substance. There was also one part & character of the plot that felt unnecessary and didn’t really bring much to the storyline besides drama.

Overall, Logan was my favourite part of the whole story.

What you’ll get:
✔️ he falls first and hard
✔️ I want you but can’t have you.
✔️ cheeky, playful banter
✔️ physio & hockey player

Blurb:
Elle

He came crashing into my life like a tornado and turned my world upside down.
With just one look at that face, I was a goner.
I want him just like I know he wants me too… for the night, that is.
He’s got me, hook, line and damn sinker.
He’s the Captain of the L.A. Thunder with a scandalous reputation and the looks to go with it.
He’s persistent but I must be strong.
I must not cave to his wicked, sexy charm.
I will not let him break down my walls.

Logan

I walked into that room, hobbling like a damn fool and the last thing I expected to see was her.
In that very moment, I knew she would be mine and I would go to the deepest pits of hell to make sure she is.
She's a good girl with the weight of the world resting on her feisty shoulders.
I will break down her walls and uncover her many secrets, no matter how long it takes.
Watch out, Elle. I’m coming for you.

another hockey romance that sheridan anne slayed!

If there is ever a way to get me to read a hockey romance have the best teasers like sheridan did!

This story was so good and one that I literally devoured it. Logan and Elle were the best! Logan is the team captain and after an injury he needs to visit the team phsyio who is now Elle. When they first meet Logan instantly wants Elle but she wants nothing to do with him. He literally drops his pants and she sees EVERYTHING.

I love that Logan doesn't stop pursing Elle even after she tells him that nothing can happen with them because she doesn't want to loose her job.

I loved how easily Elle blended with Logan's family and friends. I loved that he wanted her to succeed in her career and even talked her up in any opportunity her could.

I can't wait to read the rest of the books in this series

Every book. Follows the exact same storyline. Boy meets girl. Boy falls for girl. Girl makes boy wait. Girl falls for boy. Girl gets assaulted. Then HEA. Why are all your books in this “world” the same?!?! Also how is they live in Denver but the family company is the biggest in Canada? The British slang/sayings also threw me off considering the book isn’t set anywhere near the U.K.

>Book Review – Logan
>I am an independent reviewer. This book is the 1st in the Denver Royalty series and ends in an HEA. Logan is captain of the Denver pro NHL hockey team and a bit of a man whore. He is also close with his family – a sister and his identical triplet brothers. This series is a spin-off of the Kings of Denver series and some of the hockey players from that series make an appearance in this book. Goofing around with his BFF, Logan injures his groin and has to go to physiotherapy to rehab.
>Elle is the team’s new physiotherapist. Her backstory is horrific. She is shouldering the financial burden of her brother’s ongoing medical care and her student loans, so she cannot risk her new job by acting on her attraction to Logan. Logan won’t take no for an answer and really turns on the charm.
>There are a few sub-plots involving date rape and child pornography that keep the pages turning. The interactions with Logan and his siblings are the most fun to read. No holds barred when it comes to how the siblings speak to each other. The dirty talking bird was also hysterical. I loved that this sports romance actually had descriptions of the sport in it! The hockey scenes are well described and exciting. The ending was where I was disappointed. The HEA is nice, but so many cool things happen to Logan and Elle after the engagement that the mere mention in an epilogue wasn’t enough.
>This book is appropriate for an adult audience. I am giving this book 4 stars.

DNF 19% 1⭐️

I just can’t when the first chapter introduced a whole freaking group of people and their backstory (characters from another series and the case of a nostalgic author?). It’s messy, not fun and I hate it.

The first two chapters felt like two different books where the seriousness of some parts felt completely disconnected from the lighthearted superficial dick-conversations.

No chemistry and the instalust was completely unbelievable.

I hate when authors can’t create sexual tension or set a sexy vibe without constantly thinking/talking about sex and body parts. Horndogs are the opposite of hot. Her conversation with her bff was cringey and made me roll my eyes out loud. No subtlety whatsoever. It felt juvenile.

Not a fan of how unprofessional Logan was, completely disregarding what his advances could do to her new career (especially being a woman in a man’s field..) and showing his dick in that setting just felt seedy. And she’s unprofessional as well, treating her job as her personal man-buffet.

19% in and I’ve rolled my eyes so hard I’ve strained them. I hate the writing and the lack of…well everything.

I’m out.

💭 Random thoughts:
- The foul mouthed parrot is like such a cliche.

🎧 Audiobook narration was good.

Never Gonna Happen by Sheridan Anne is a romance with an interesting setup, but the book presents two heavy, traumatic events that feel underdeveloped. One event involves a tentative violent assault, and the other addresses a tragic family accident, leaving one character paralyzed. While these backstories create depth, I was disappointed that they were only lightly touched upon and not fully explored in terms of character growth or how the couple would handle such intense challenges together.

Because of this, the serious elements seemed out of place in what is mostly a light, sexy romance. The shift between the heavy topics and the fun romance made it feel disconnected. I would have enjoyed the lighthearted romance more if the story had balanced or addressed these darker themes with the depth they deserved. It felt like a missed opportunity to explore how characters would navigate romance alongside significant trauma, making the story less impactful than it could have been.

Good solid read. Would recommend if you love hockey romances (which I do). Love the relationship between all the characters including Logan and Elle. My heart goes out to both characters as they have experienced a huge loss in both their lives. Cant wait to read Carter's story.

This is the first book in a spin-off series from the Kings of Denver series. You can definitely enjoy this book without reading KoD first, but you’ll get some spoilers.

Logan Waters is a 🥵🥵🥵 hockey super star and Elle is a physical therapist for his NHL hockey team. The chemistry between them is off the charts from the first meeting. Logan gives his best flirt and smolder but Elle doesn’t fall for it - she has her priorities in order and doesn’t take and 💩. She’s not about to risk her career and her heart for a guy with a reputation like Logan’s.

The spice is a slow burn but worth it. The anticipation builds up very nicely. Getting to know Elle and her history adds depth to the story, as well as getting a deep-dive into Logan’s thoughts and feelings. I love their banter and the way they react to each other. There are some heavy emotional aspects to this story, so check the triggers, but the plot is fairly straightforward and focused on the relationship between Logan and Elle as it grows.

If you’ve read the KoD series, you’ll be excited to see cameos from familiar faces. I’m excited to see what happens in the next book. This is a standalone with connected characters from other books.

🏒🦜Man Logan is cocky. (And funny)

🏒🦜When she tells you she won't date you because it'll risk her career and you decide to try harder, doesn't it mean you don't give a shit about her job?

🏒🦜A virgin heroin? Seriously? Is this trend still going on?

🏒🦜I really hate when you add a friend who does nothing but encourage you to have sex no matter what. I know it's early but the way Jaz started doesn't look promising.

🏒🦜Oh my god 😂 They're funny.

🏒🦜Sleeping together in a camp with your colleagues present is not how you avoid rumours about fraternisation. And you're doing everything except the literal fucking how does that not affect the same way?

🏒🦜"I can't help myself around you" I cringed🥴

🏒🦜Halfway through the book Louie kinda disappeared😔

🏒🦜"I just hope I don’t get drugged at this one." She did not just make fun of her attempted rape incident!

🏒🦜So i was looking at more books from the writer cause yeah I liked this one and realized that her books had been kept popping up on my recommendation lists and I ignored them cause her H gave me manwhore vibes from the blurbs...... In hindsight Logan was also a manwhore but we didn't have to see it. No OW(hate hate hate it) drama at all. Now I'm thinking about giving those a chance too. Hmmm.....

Never Gonna Happen is book 1 in the Denver Royalty series and it is awesome!!! An ice hockey MF romance that has some dark themes, so please check content warnings. Now I have to admit, I have read very few sports romances. So few, in fact, that this is only the 2nd one ever and OMG.... Have I been living under a rock or what???? New trope unlocked.

Our girl Elle is hard working, fiercely independant and carries alot of responsibility. Her life changes dramatically when she scores the opportunity of a life time and in the same breath, meets the love of her life. She is just so focussed that she doesn't realise it yet. Elle and Logan hit it off straight away and the banter between them is top tier. I'm totally in love with a number of side characters, who I would love to see get their own book. I know some have already but I'm looking forward to seeing if any of the others will later on down the track.

I'm so looking forward to the next book, so in the mean time, I'm going to go and check out the Kings of Denver series.x

Sheridan's talent never ceases to amaze me. Regardless of whether she's written a fun romance or a dark one, they always have great banter between characters and a ton of hilarity mixed in.

I can't get enough of the hockey romance trope and Sheridan didn't disappoint. This series (Denver Royalty) is a spin-off of the Kings of Denver series and I loved revisiting some of my favorite characters from that series.

This story grabbed me from the very first word and tugged at my emotions something fierce! I absolutely LOVE Elle! She's been through so much, but she still fights for everything she has and wants. You pick up on the chemistry with Logan upon their first meeting (again with the hilarity). As the teams newest physio Elle isn't about to take a chance with Logan at the risk of losing her dream job, NEVER GONNA HAPPEN.

I loved their road to a HEA and that dang parrot, Louie and all the new side characters. Dual POV, a super possessive MMC, a strong FMC and great spice. You definitely want to be part of the fun!

So for some reason, I'm on an ice hockey kick so of course I had to give this one a go. I imagine there are only so many relationship dynamics that topic can take and still be unique. On that note, this one definitely stood out to me.

I love me a tragic backstory and Elle's story is definitely that. The book did not ease you into it. You dropped you in the middle of it for you to make your way out of. Without giving too much away, if Elle is anything, it's resilient. She took the crumbs life gave her and made her own cookie. Granted it didn't come without its challenges but she did it. Also, Louie is an effin gem and I wish there was more of him.

Logan also had life.... pulling him in interesting directions. You can't help but laugh at his beginning. Somehow, he thaws you out and warms you up to him. The lols turn into omgs. The sweetness. The spice. The moment you're warned about. I knew it was coming but I didn't expect it to hit as hard as it did.

It was a quick and good read. It doesn't skip over the tougher topics but it also doesn't over dramatize it. It's just a well balanced book, imo. Every book of Sheridans I read, the more I become a fan.

If you like ice hockey romance, you won’t want to miss this one!

The two main characters, Elle and Logan were charismatic, fun and absolutely addicting. The banter was perfect and I couldn’t put this book down!

Elle had to grow up quickly when she was seventeen after having lost both parents and a sister in a tragic car accident. She was the only family left to care for her younger brother confined to a wheelchair after suffering a spinal cord injury.

Elle landed a dream job working as a Physiotherapist for the Colorado Thunder Ice Hockey Team which is where she was introduced to the Captain, who was seriously injured in a personal hockey rival competition.

They both felt the pull from the start, but Elle refused to give in, there was too much risk at hand. However, Logan refuses to give up on the most beautiful woman he had ever laid eyes upon. Will she eventually submit to his charm? You will need to read to find out!

I hope to see more of these characters in future stories to come.

May has been filled with amazing books so far and you can add this to the list also!

First off, I feel like lately everything I’ve read has had some sort of grief in the book whether it be parents, siblings or grandparents and Ive connected with it a lot💔

He’s the team captain and she’s the new team physical therapist, what could go wrong🤭

Starting off with learning about how Elle and her brother were the only ones that survived a horrible car crash that had 5 people in the car pulled at my heartstrings…

Logan is a triplet and has lost both his parents also. Logan and Elle finally talk about it and they grow closer talking about their losses..

I love how confident/cocky Logan is that she will be his and he knows it. He is just waiting for her to realize it🫠

Tent scene is 🥵

The part with Max at the party made me so pissed.. Logan finding her made my stomach drop.. I was legit yelling at my kindle!

Oh, and Elle’s bird is hilarious 🤣

I know we are all living for hockey romances right now and this one from Sheridan Anne is one you don’t want to miss! This is a spin-off from her Kings of Denver series, but it is not necessary to have read them in order to follow along.

Elle is starting her dream job working as physio for a professional hockey team and Logan is the captain. Elle doesn’t want to mess up the opportunity, but her and Logan have instant chemistry.

As much as she tries to rebuff his advances, Logan is relentless and they have such a fun repertoire that he is impossible to resist. He is the ultimate book boyfriend- hot in the bedroom and a total sweetheart out of it. We should all be so lucky to find us a Logan!

I absolutely devoured this book. I couldn’t put it down and I can not wait for the rest of the series (Logan has 2 hot brothers)!

Logan is a sunshine who has it all. The looks, fame, money and every woman he wants. But after meeting the new physiotherapist on his hockey team, Elle, she is the one he has his sights on.
Elle is determined to make her new job work out the best way possible. With a tragic past and a lot of debts to pay she cannot fail herself. But getting involved with a hockey player is not on her agenda.
She underestimated his persistence, he her stubbornness.
A few run ins, an outdoor experience and seeing the true Logan, Elle questions her wall she built around her.
And slowly things turn into more, with a few surprises and suspenseful moments here and there.
Can't wait for the second book in this series.

Normally, hockey reads end up boring me, but if Sheridan Anne wrote it, I’m reading it. That said, this actually gripped me early in and I’m so glad I didn’t discount it.

We’ve got a supposedly man-wh0reish male lead who only has eyes for her, and the ‘her’ is a career-driven, hardworking, broken AF heroine who repeatedly claims to be off-limits. (And she means it … it’s just … he’s so pretty and sweet.)

Oh and throw in a lovable, talking, VERY sassy, parrot to boot.

What is not to like about any of this?!

Workplace romance.
Forbidden vibes.
Sportsmance (hockey).
Forced proximity / one-bed trope.
V!rgin heroine.

Overall:
A sweet, fun, addictive read with just a smidge of darkness—not like what I’m used to from Anne. I would absolutely read on in this series.

4 stars.

Fantastic production—flawless. 5 stars.

We got to know Logan in the Kings of Denver series and I wanted more. Sheridan did not disappoint in Never Gunna Happen.

I loved Elle’s quick wit and the banter back and forth with Logan. She kept him on his toes and falling at her feet. He was a goner at first sight. It took her a while, but Elle finally realized she was worthy of love despite her past.

I loved that Miller and the gang also made an appearance, giving the story a well rounded feeling. And damn if Cassie didn’t make me cry with her request.

Although, I have to admit I hate birds with a passion and they hate me. With that being said, I love Louie’s foul mouth, I could possibly get along with him.

Amazing read, couldn’t put it down nor did I want it to end. I can’t wait for Cater and Sean’s stories.

Hot Fire Hockey Romance

I love nothing more than a good Hockey Romance, and this author, Sheridan Anne, has done it again with book one of her new series, Denver Royalty. This is a spin-off of her series Kings of Denver, so you get to see old characters crossover, but its not necessary to read them first. The emotional roller-coaster of this book is exhilarating and keeps you sucked in and wanting more even at 2 am! There is truama from both sides, but it's the fmc Elle who we see take it the hardest, while Logan has pretty much learned how to live. They are a perfect match for each other, the chemistry is off the charts, and I love the quick-witted banter between them. It's a slow burn that is absolutely worth the wait, and it builds up beautifully. HEA ending.

Elle and Logan… I love this!!!

From the beginning.. I loved Elle. After learning about what happened to her, and her family; and her college experience.. and how she cares for her brother. I just loved her from the minute I met her.

Logan… well… I wasn’t too sure about him. He seemed like such a player when we met him, that I didn’t like him for her at all!!

I’m not going to tell you whether he proved me wrong or not. You’re going to have to read this for yourself. I will tell you that this is a great book. One you’ll love to read. I love hockey, so that was a selling point for me to read it, but it is so much more than a hockey story. There is so much to this book.. all because of the characters and who they are. Well done Sheridan Anne.. well done.

I INHALED Kings of Denver and could not wait to jump into this series following the Waters brothers (Cassie's brothers!)

Logan & Elle are thrown together when Elle is employed as the teams junior physiotherapist .. and Logan needs physio on his, uh, groin following an injury.

He's determined, she is determined to to avoid him, because a moment of spicy fun could ruin all her hard work getting her degree and getting a job - a job she needs to provide for her brother's care, and to support their lives.

Tropes:
Forced Proximity
He falls first
Found Family
Slow Burn
Workplace Romance
Dirty beaked parrot (animal sidekick)

*some heavy topics in here, so check content warnings if you are concerned about this.

After an unfortunate accident on the ice, Logan, Captain of the Colorado Thunder suffers a serious injury. When he walks into the teams' physiotherapists office, he expects to be greeted by the creepy man who gets a little too handsy, not by the new junior physio, Elle, and one of the most beautiful women he has ever seen. Logan is instantly smitten and makes his intentions knows. Elle takes a while to give into the attraction she feels, for good reasons, but it was very entertaining watching Logan pursue her!

If you have read the Kings of Denver series, you will remember Logan as one of Cassie’s brothers. I loved him in her book and was very excited to see more of him and it did not disappoint!

Loved this book, it was so easy to read and very entertaining. Can’t wait for the rest of the series!

This whole book was absolute perfection! The banter between Logan and Elle is witty, funny, and totally adorable at the same time. The FMC, Elle, is strong, independent, funny, and smart. Our smokin' hot MC, Logan, is everything you could want in a man. He's a smart@ss (which is my favorite), he's protective of those he loves, he's hilarious, he's kind, and he's an amazing hockey player (so hot!). Even the side characters are amazing! Elle's bird Louie, her best friend Jaz, her brother Brendan, and Logan's whole family.. I just love all of them. They're all perfect additions to the story and make it all that much better! I love that Logan sees what he wants and just takes it. Elle tries her hardest to resist his sexiness and his charms, but let's be honest here.. that was never gonna happen!

Never going to happen is one of my all time favorite hockey romances! This book follows one of Cassie’s brothers from the Kings of Denver’s series but can be read as a stand alone. This whole series is going to be amazing. Logan is an awesome guy and I loved his characters growth during the book. Elle is a girl that has been through so much but somehow has still come out on the other side. I can’t wait to get my hands on the rest of this series. Don’t worry Sheridan made sure to have you on the edge of your seat (as always) and I wouldn’t have it any other way! Hope you enjoy this book as much as I have!
